Theflint1: And it costs about same amount to fill your fuel tank which would usually last for a week too...if he's not in a major city in the UK, he'd be spending less for transport there than he would in Nigeria. No he wont. One litre is £1.40 here, that's N3k per litre If he's paying for travelcard in London, that's £61.40 per week for bus pass/train card travel for the whole week. Other Cities will be like £40-£50 |

Theflint1: If he was in the UK he won't be bothered to provide electricity for himself and the alternative to private transportation won't be dingy molue buses, but I think his point was to bemoan the huge cost of living which in Nigeria's fake life era he was affording comfortably, but now it's starting to mirror his living expenses in the UK. I don't think inflation is outstripping dollar or pound inflation so a wicked abroadian will still be up. As long as his currency get surname (Sterling). he is in a better position than in 2022 |

Theflint1: Well he didn't say he was restricting it to just food sha, but there's a context around which he'd run through that amount in two days without any major flex involved.
Let's even say it's Let's even say it's 400 pounds which is 900K in Naira, I don't think it's impossible to run through that as a returnee while not doing any major flex. I mean ordinary to fill car tank don comot like 90K from the money. If he brings in transportation from UK, it wil blow away his thesis. Transportation in any major City will be that same N90k per week |

Theflint1: The guy said apart from bills... How much e apart from bills go be, make we use dawan start. Apart from bills, it's feasible for a single man to live on £200 per month on foodstuff alone in UK (not counting transportation). This would be Spartan living though where you buy two or three types of food at start of every week and cook everything yourself. So that's about N450k which can be blown in 2 days in Naija, yes, but he must count food only, not running gen or transportation, drinking or eating out, just strictly cooking his own food. |

TrebleChamp: The minimum wage in UK is £11.44/hour, while Naija is ₦30,000 (£14.11/month). If the average minimum wage earner in UK work for 8 hours daily (8am to 4pm) for 22 days in a Month like the Nigerian minimum wage counterpart.
£11.44 × 8hrs = £91.52 per day £91.52 × 22days = £2,013.44 per month £2013.44 × 12 month = £24,161.28 per annum
£2,013.44 × ₦2120 = ₦4,270,349.44 per month. £24,161.28 × ₦2120 = ₦51,352,947.56 per annum.
UK minimum wage per month in Naira = ₦4,270,349.44 UK minimum wage per annum in Naira = ₦51,352,947.56 (no wonder people dey sell their properties and all to Japa 😁)
Naija minimum wage per month = ₦30,000 Naija minimum wage per annum = ₦360,000 (😩 😭)

Inclined 20 and declined 20 too and I am good to go. Yes of course you will get to 30 by year end. Muscle memory won't fail you. If you are doing 20 now, you will be doing 25 in 2 weeks and 30 in another 2 weeks Right now I'm on 30 but not trying to push past it. indomie 70g pack is like 230 to 270 indomie 100gt pack is like 400 or so
and that is indomie- the mount everest of noodles
you can also add the price of 50cl coke in pet 415 to 500 in naira Forget Coke Forget indomie and bring the cheapest noodle for equivalent comparison I will say N200 noodles and N200 egg makes N400 vs N1.1k equivalent |

@ livelongnprospa and Amigoss
The cheapest food I can identify in UK is one noodles pack for 35 pence and one egg for 15 pence.
So £0.50 can get you a noodles plus one egg meal. That's about N1.1k. What's the equivalent price in Naija for one noodle and one egg. That is a base comparison. |

Baba,Davido and now Tiwa are all saying this things too, everyone of this people can't all be lying
Is Rice and Chicken Nigerian food? These are universal foods. Even if we go for cheap fast food joints, you can't spend less than £8 on a meal in the UK equivalent of Buka here (Mcdonalds). That's N20k entry price to fill your belly Suyas main content is beef which is a universal food, so I like to use Suya for comparison plus it's my favourite food. The Suya spice is cheap to buy here so it's a fair comparison. This size of Suya is £12 here, that's about N30k. My guy bought it for N2k this time last year, let's assume it's N5k now. That's still N5k Vs N30k.

BlueRayDick: This is not always true, at least my own experience differs to urs.
Personally I don't even use twitter at all until recently when people share links here and I click those links to see what's on them. What I noticed is that when u click those links and watch the video/read the thread, u need not follow the author before similar posts start popping up on ur "For You" page.
I don't even follow nor tweet at these people but somehow they just keep popping up . There's no way I will follow a character like Reno, but his tweets will pop cos I have clicked on his posts shared by users here in the past. That's because you are an infrequent user. If you followed more people, the stuff you click from Nairaland will be crowded out by the people you follow. So the more you follow one type of link, the more weighting is applied to that type of content. Every Social Media algorithm is based on spanning trees where vertex weighting is applied to the content/sites you have seen before and based on what others are linking to. They are all modified versions of HITS, Kruskals and Prims algorithm. So when you have more varied connections, the weighting reduces on something you randomly see whereas if you keep seeing the same type of content, it will keep increasing the weighting until that becomes the dominant content you see. It is literally living in The Matrix. Example below - Sites A, B and C all start with weighting of 1, but because B is linked by both A and C, it becomes the dominant site with final weighting of 1.5, while C reduces to 0.5 as it only collects link from A (which splits its power of 1 evenly between B and C). So any algorithm will direct you to B henceforth This is the Google Page Rank Algorithm which is based on HITS algorithm.
