I don't agree with this, not even after watching RLC against Brentford. His positioning is a suspect and besides his passes are terrible. Unless Kovacic and kante will not cross the midfield like casemiro did for Madrid today,that when he will not be fully expose if he should play. And as for Jorginho, his only issue is his inability to make quick turns and spot his teammates who are in the best position to reck havoc. If he can take that much risk and ditch his normal slow pattern then we are good to go.

RLC seemed to drive them back today. They look like the kind of team who don't like being asked questions the other way, same as Barca did to them. Fück positioning, we are not going there to defend a lead. Let Kova be the nominal DM and Kante and RLC drive, with Kova driving sometimes too. I will blame Thiago Silva for the first goal, very usual pf somebody of his age. Christensen was already going for vinicus you as the CB should be aware of where the next danger man is. As soon as he saw christensen moving with vinicus he could just look for the next available free space and move in instead of marking christensen man.

A CB will hardly leave a fellow CB one on one with a player like Vinicus in that position. It will never happen.

The man who should have stopped that goal was the midfielder jogging from where Benzema ran from
