How could you call that escorting. He stayed with the danger man in the middle and the expectation should be that Ziyech and Alonso push Mbuemo to a non-threatening position but those slow coaches couldn't keep up. He only switched attention to Mbuemo at the last minute when Mbuemo became the bigger danger, and by that time Alonso should have been in position to cut the pass since Alonso had abandoned pursuit of Mbuemo and was running to the centre . If Kante stayed with Eriksson throughout and even let Mbuemo shoot 1-on1 with Mendy he will be faultless. My Kante doesn't escort.
