swiz123:Striker don't make runs for rebounds unless they are completely out of the picture for a pass. At this point the decision is made to go for the cutback run, there is no reason for any striker to believe the defender will catch Havertz unless Havertz loses distance on the defender by poor ball carrying or a suboptimal line of running. The defender is Matt Targett, not Usain Bolt If he went for rebound, he would be behind the defender and you will claim he is hiding

hensben:Yeah, Belgium record scorer and current Serie A POTY cannot play elite football. I sorry for all Belgians and Serie A footballers. Hope you know Lukaku is in the top20 all time scorers in EPL? All you are seeing is bad luck of getting injured at the wrong time and lack of confidence of his own making |
swiz123:Maybe he thought Havertz has a right foot
|
User09:Just saw highlights. No chance of him following that ball because he had already taken a couple steps the other way anticipating a cutback from Havertz. He was nowhere in the vicinity having gone for the cutback. This is way off, and complete witchhunting. At this point, Lukaku switches his run to go for the cutback, you say he should have been at the backpost when the ball hit the post. How will someone running in the direction of Havertz be at the backpost before a defender running in a straight-line toward the goal. Pure agenda.
|
Watching highlights. I like the way Havertz elbowed Burn. The way he used his elbow to balance his body in the air shows why he makes the ball stick upfront despite his slender frame. Something Abraham never learned to do when jumping for ball with a defender. |
Tuchel interview on Chelsea financial position on MOTD - "We are in a privileged position. There are a hundred other people who work at the club for whom the crisis is more existential" That's some impressive English for a non-native speaker |
donstan18:This is Hojberg assist vs same Newcastle this season. I guess we'll next see this from Jorginho in 2024 |
50d33q:Excuses of a manager whose board should be typing sack letter as we speak |
swiz123:You done change mouth from overhitting to goalkeeper. Hojberg pass took out the goalkeeper. If he played it central the goalkeeper gets it. He dropped that ball on a penny in the only place it could go. This angle is not tight. If any striker gets a ball here, you are expecting a finish
|
swiz123:Foolish talk. If he hit that pass any less, the defender heads that ball. He dropped that ball on a penny
|
popizaino:Some guys here proved their stüpidity today. This is not about hate or agenda, I can't believe the level of stupidity I read, that someone with 20 yards of space to drop the ball has a higher level of difficulty than someone with only 5 yards to drop the ball into |
Jodera:You are talking undiluted trash Havertz was personally picked out but Kane was not? The difficulty of a pass is determined by the amount of space in which you are dropping the ball, not any megedefegede you typed above. All passes are into a space, whether the striker runs or not, that is their business, the object of the pass is to drop it into a space. The more space the easier the pass. If a striker and defence is on the halfway line and you have a whole half to pass into, that's the easiest assist you will get in football. That's why teams park bus, because the less space, the harder it is to play in the striker. Jorginhos pass is actually a regular pass that Thiago Silva has made many times this season. Hojberg pass is way more difficult because he can only hit a small pocket of space. If you don't know this, you don't know basics of football.

popizaino:It is never a midfielders fault when a striker isn't firing. I don't believe in blaming midfielders when strikers don't score because that's what Torres fans used to do while everyone could see that Torres is hiding on the pitch. Only a small percentage of strikers goal come from the Hollywood pass from the midfielder. 95% is from cutbacks, crosses, hustle and bustle, strikers own dribbling, striker instigating the pass with his movement, and sheer opportunism. Lukakus problem is simple. He got injured just before the juicy run of fixtures came where he would have filled his boots and boosted his confidence. He came back from injury, gave an interview that turned fans against him and that also coincided with a tough run of fixtures and his confidence sank lower and lower. We are now in the easy run of fixtures where he should ordinarily use to gain his confidence back but he has lost his place and rightly so. |
donstan18:Capaldi is a joker. Overhit pass that cleared the defenders head by inches.
|
Capaldi:Show us where you would have dropped that pass to Kane. Rubbish and ingredients. Overhit pass that barely cleared the defenders head? You are mad. That pass was perfection landed on a penny in the only place it could go. If Havertz goal was easy, then why are they hailing it goal of the month?
|
OJURONGBE1:Same incident. I mistook the opponent |
swiz123:It was a one touch finish one-on-one in the only place Kane could receive that ball without the keeper or defender getting there, simple. Is Havertz one not a super finish, or was it a tap in? |
50d33q:Who said I didn't give him accolades. You asked me if Hojberg had done such and I have answered you that Hojberg own is even better. Look at the constricted area Hojberg has to drop that ball into from short distance with Kane already in the box vs the greater area Jorginho has to hit with Havertz outside the box. Only someone with faulty football understanding will claim Jorginho assist is anywhere near the same difficulty level. Not minding the distance they are both lifting ball from or whether they are being pressured by opponents or not.
|
50d33q:The physics of that assist is one if De Bruyne dropped that ball from that short distance, you will say only KDB can do that The one Jorginho did, Rudiger or Thiago or many centre-backs can do and have done this season sef |
50d33q:Nope. If he played that ball centrally, the keeper gets there. He dropped that ball in the only place it could go where neither the defender nor keeper could get there, for an easy one touch finish from Kane. At the place Kane takes that shot, he does not need to control, just side foot the ball one on one with the keeper. Havertz had to control Jorginhos ball because it was not delicate enough. If you played football before, you will know the level of difficulty of lifting a ball over the defence from just 10 yards outside the box and dropping it back down for the striker is twice as difficult at what Jorginho did which was from 20 yards further out. Jorginho is on his centre circle, Hojberg is 10 yards from the box. Simple projectile motion would tell you the more difficult skill if you know the physics required to gain elevation and drop the ball in a specific space. Add the fact Jorginho had all the time and Hojberg is being closed down, difficulty level increases further. In addition, Hojberg does this more often while Jorginho comes out to play every two years |
50d33q:That place he dropped the ball is harder to pick precisely than where Jorginho dropped his, and he had a man closing him unlike Jorginho who was free to lift his head |
50d33q:This happened just two weeks ago. Keep up |
50d33q:Been on the road. That should be his second assist of such in 4.5 years. The other one was to Abraham against Watford 2 years ago. Hojberg has already done two of those this season |
This gbas gbos is too much for a day of the Lord. Apostle Skimpledawg should come and sanctify the thread |
chidekings:Tax is 33% so use 35 |
GloriousGbola:Seems so, but it's a disaster for Putin either way. Bringing in Arabs to kill his fellow Rus brothers will be remembered in the history books on both sides of the border forever. |
AmazonTopaz:Kyiv has not been attacked yet The Ukrainians are waiting for them in the Cities so they can equalise Russia's technological and longe-range advantage with street fighting in an urban environment. Russia has not entered the inner cities yet. They will try not to enter any except Kiev. They only need Kiev to force the Ukrainians to surrender Russia knows the Ukrainians are highly motivated and likely to keep Russia trapped in urban guerilla warfare for weeks on end. Putin is not ready to pay that price, that's why he's bringing Syrians to do the dirty work, because the body count will be high |
House of Capulet vs House of Montague. gbas gbos shall never end. |
donstan18: ![]() Everton have a Russian investor under sanctions too. Lampard no want talk too much, make them shine spotlight |
Android22:
|
Android22:Ok, another conspiracy mindset. EU and WHO is helping USA create biological weapons for Ukraine. You are right. The same WHO that is a China stooge according to your mindset, remember? |
Android22:I said the same Agency helping Ukraine also helped Russia with the set-up, safety and decommissioning of their own labs. I am responsible for what I write, not what you understand. |

. So to glorify that rubbish pass, you had to tag Kane's super finish a tap in.
