benalvino2:No McCain corrects the racist while Trump launched his political career by feeding into their hate and tweeting that Obama is not an American |
benalvino2:This sounds like Trump's political strategy. A lifelong Democrat who switched to the Republican party and fed their most extreme Tea Party base with with the hatred they wanted to hear. They never got that from Bush, McCain or Romney (real Republicans, now called RINOs by the children of hatred). These are the racist nutcases in the party that their leaders refused to pander to until Trump came along to capitalise on their hatred. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIjenjANqAk |
Dost42:Why would same energy be directed on Kante who just won 3 MOTM from UCL semi to final. If you know the state Chelsea midfield was in in 2016, before Kante came and turned that around taking us from a non existent midfield that took us to 10th position to Champions in one season. The same energy cannot be expended on Kovacic as Jorginho because Kovacic is an ancillary midfielder. You bring him in to run, hustle, keep the ball, which he can do, but he is not fundamental. You can describe him as a Sergi Roberto, a Raul Meireles type of midfielder when we win the UCL or Tiago when we won the EPL in 2005. These players are not system players but can play any which way the team is set up, whereas Jorginho forces you to play certain systems to protect him without offering the upside that comes making that sacrifice to build a system around him ie he does not control midfield consistently to force us to adapt to him. Nobody will get HBP over such an ancillary players like Kovacic, Sergi Roberto etc but if your Makelele (Jorginho, Busquets) is soft as baby bottom, then you have structural issues that need to be addressed. |
Greatihex:Neither Mourinho nor KDB foresaw the last minute signing of Willian who was someone forced on them at the end of the transfer window by Roman after hijacking his Spurs medical. That left Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Schurrle, Willian and KDB competing for 3 spots. 6 does not go into 3. Which good young player will wait around for the politics of that situation to play out. Someone who just won Bundesliga YPOTY. KDB was chased away by money. He was cheaper than all the others so they were given chances before him. Oscar who had never won an individual award of note had no right to have an automatic spot over KDB but money talks. No serious player will waste a year of their short career waiting for that politics to settle itself. Hazard spot was already guaranteed, so that leaves 5 players battling for two positions. In addition, Mourinho was playing some politics by using Oscars status as Brazil no10 to chase Mata away. He kept saying he will pick Brazil's no 10 over Mata. So that means two spots were taken by Oscar and Hazard, leaving Schurrle, Willian, Mata and KDB to fight for the last spot and KDB was the cheapest and junior man among them and was being unfairly overlooked. He made the right choice jare. Immediately he went to Wolfsburg, he broke Bundesliga assist record and win Bundesliga POTY, showing he was better than them. There was a third factor which precipitated KDBs exit and that was our midfield porosity and instability with Mikel and Ramires unable to put together a coherent and defensively stable midfield. This then meant that Mourinho had to get them help by making one of the attacking positions a defensive workhorse. Given Hazard and Oscars spot were already secure, Mourinho needed a defensive minded right winger to help balance out the overloads often caused by Mikel and Ramires ineptness, and that's how Willian won the last spot. This is why I don't tolerate any defensive midfield that is not robust and up to scratch because it has cost us big time. So you can blame KDBs exit on poor squad planning - overstocking of AMs and wingers, and Mourinho playing politics with Mata and Oscar which left KDB as the outside man plus central midfield porosity which necessitated Willian being deployed as a workhorse to help the unstable midfield. |
timbros:Sorry, that's been updated. See original post and below hltl1t |
Greatihex:KDB was already Bundesliga YPOTY for the season we sent him to Werder Bremen before he returned to Chelsea. Immediately he left us to Wolfsburg, he broke Bundesliga assist record and won Bundesliga POTY. He didn't improve dramatically, it's the same vision, same delivery he showed all through. He was never given a chance to show that at Chelsea hence Chelsea fans think he improved. What he's been doing at Man City, Werder and Wolfsburg, he would have done at Chelsea right there and then if given a chance. |
Dost42:Kovacic is not central to Chelsea. He is a CM that can be rotated out for others. Same reason I don't bother criticising Barkley or RLC cos they are not fundamental to Chelsea midfield. What's fundamental is the DM position. The irony of Jorginho is he is a midfield controller who Chelsea can only play defensive football with. Have you seen that kind of midfield controller before, that does not allow his team to play attacking football consistently and successfully? After 3 years of struggling to make top 4 with numerous disgraces handed out to our midfield, only sometimes patched by parking the bus or building a defensive system around Jorginho, I want Chelsea to move forward. Just like I did not accept that Mikel and Ramires were the midfield to take Chelsea forward in 2012/13 just because RDM set up a specific system for them to thrive in UCL, I will not accept that Jorginho is the DM to take Chelsea forward just because Tuchel set up a specific defensive system to accomodate him in UCL or because Italy is being successful in a tournament of few games. The reality is Mikel and Ramires were inept in regular league football in 2012 without the specific and focussed instructions of those one-off games, and led Chelsea to 6th in the table due to their ineptness. In the same way, Jorginho has been a weak point for 3 years during regular weekly football outside the confines of a specific one-off tactical instruction and leading us year on year to struggling to qualify for top 4. We need a DM that can help us attack successfully and consistently and push us up the pitch in regular weekly football, that can be consistent whatever the shape of the team, without a manager having to create a cocoon around him. Such specificity cannot work over a whole season. Anyone who wants Jorginho to continue as Chelsea DM does not wish the team well. |
BlueAngel444:I don't need to travel back in time. I travelled back to Sarri season to show what happens to Jorginho when a manager tries to play attacking football with him as DM. I could have brought the numerous disgraces under Lampard such as the Liverpool and Bayern disgraces but I said they will blame Lampard so let me bring an example under his father Sarri. Just in the last two months of the season, Jorginho cost us the Arsenal and West Brom game. That's 6 points dropped in two months. Extrapolate that over a season and you see why Chelsea dey struggle to finish top 4 every season with such a useless DM. I ask you one pertinent question 1. Has Jorginho succeeded as a controller for Chelsea ie Do Chelsea control games consistently under his stewardship? If the answer is no, after 3 years, then he needs to go. We don't want to hear side talks about how many tackles he made. We all know he is useless at the.defensive aspect of the game unless a bus is parked around him. Anyone who wants Jorginho to continue cannot mean well for Chelsea. You will continue to struggle for top 4 while he drops you points regularly like below.
|
User09:I will rest when we have a DM not a failed controller and escort extraordinaire who gets smashed anytime Chelsea don't park the bus against big teams
|
swiz123:Forget bringing in Danish team who are not mates player for player with Italian team. What does KDB playing on the right have to do with Hojberg in the centre. The fact remains Jorginho was the only spare player in the match due to the 3-4-3 formation. KDBs pressing brief was on the Italian left back. Nobody had pressing brief on Jorginho. All those useless passes won't mean nothing if Insigne and Barrella hadn't scored worldies and Lukaku didn't miss two open nets. Nothing to do with Jorginho getting the ball off centrebacks with no pressure on him . Put pressure on him and he will crumble. That's why he's a so called deep controller and Chelsea don't control matches, simply because their controller can't handle any sort of pressing. What a disgrace of a controller, to the point his fans start counting tackles when we bought him to control games which he can't do under any sort of pressure. Anybody who wants to build on Jorginho can't mean well for Chelsea. Thank God we are targeting other DMs that can do the job, not failed controllers trying to pose as tough tacklers |
swiz123:He did not go any head to head with KDB. KDB played on the right. Jorginho was unmarked all game due to Belgium's 3-4-3 formation, not that him passing the ball at the back would make any difference if not for Insigne and Barella pulling worldies. This is what happened when Jorginho last went head to head Vs KDB as pure DM Vs pure AM. 6-0 disgrace. And that's what will happen anytime you take bodies away from Jorginho and have him go head to head with an AM without community defending or formation tweaks to protect him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-C5Ad2Go1Fk |
andrewbaba44:You press a deeplying playmaker, you disrupt his team, and Jorginho succumbs to press everytime. I don't know why Martinez will be sitting back playing 3-4-3 with 3 centrebacks who don't contribute to the midfield, leaving Belgium midfield one short. . . instead of putting a 3rd midfielder on which is the AM you need to harry Jorginho. If you just put one AM on Jorginho, that's Italy's killswitch right there. Jorginho had no one on him all day. He was just dropping deep to collect ball from the centrebacks with no AM on him because of course Witsel and Tielemans have to keep the 2 man shape deeper in the midfield |
TeflonBlixx:I don't trip on tournament football. Any team can focus on protecting all their weak spots in singular tournaments. Try that in 38 games of league football and you will see Jorginho jogging on the spot while EPL AMs take turns råping him in the rain in Bournemouth. That's how I told people here we shouldn't build on Mikel despite his great performance in the specific circumstances of 2012 UCL. They insisted that will translate to regular weekly football and Mikel proceeded to take us out of UCL group stage the next year and had to be dropped for Luiz to play midfield for Chelsea to even limp across the line in 4th place A nigga who can't smell 5th or 7th PFA team in 3 years won't change my mind over few games of tournament football where Verratti and Barrella are protecting him. Same people who love Jorginho also want Havertz to play 10. So Jorginho will play in a double pivot while Havertz will play in the hole? That's a midfield highway to hell. Notice how Verratti and Barrella are sticking so close to him to protect him, while Havertz wants to run the other way. |
lordfalcao:Insigne goal and Barrella goal was very impressive. Belgium didn't put anyone to press Jorginho cos they are too busy trying to sit deep and play 3 at the back to protect their 3 old centrebacks |
That Doku no Sabi anything. Na Lukaku save Jorginho this night. DM wey Verratti and Barrella dey cover And they still want him to be DM and Havertz AM in the same midfield. Who go protect am? |
Afz9095:State your team name and league position last season |
TheLequte:With such goalkeepers, you take a short run and play it high. A short run will ensure better accuracy to lift the ball. With all that jumping the keeper was doing, he can only dive low |
Na wa oh Swizz chokers |
Roland17:2 escorts for the price of one Rodri and Busquet ![]() |
Swizz can't survive this extra time with ten men |
swiz123:Yes of course, as a Man City fan you are |
Trevor012:Check who laid the ball to Shaqiri |
popizaino:The same man who Busquet made the mistake against is the man who scored while Busquet was jogging 20 yards behind Busquet was supposed to keep with that man. He thought Laporte had saved him but God decided to expose his sluggishness with a goal. It's a sluggishness defenders save him from umpteen times a game. |
popizaino:Hahahaha Dem done dey confess Depreciate wetin. He's always been like this |
Goaaaaaalll Busquets on the escort Ask me how! |
popizaino:Firstly Salah was not dropping those numbers in 2014 nor the 2.5 years he spent in Italy. So it's disingenuous to say you are missing a 30 goal a season player. Salah was never that. And by the way, you could say Mane and Son get you close anyway. KDB was already that nigga in 2014 if you cared to watch Bundesliga. That bites more because it was no secret. Fabregas nor Coutinho can never replace what you get with KDB cos what they give with assists they take away from team solidity. The only player that will come close is Erickson |

swiz123:Nigga say na farmers and herdsmen ![]() Guy this section is not that serious. Wetin consign herdsmen with the matter? You can't spew absurdities like Havertz had a good season, Mount who is our player of the season had a bad season, Havertz was intending on passing to Kimmich and many other absurdities, and when people disagree with you, you claim they are following herdsmen. |
popizaino:You are being disingenuous. KDB is the same player now that he was at Chelsea (check his loans to Bundesliga for confirmation), same vision, same passes, same energy. Salah is not the same player. He has improved his finishing and hunger for goals. His stats at Fiorentina and Roma confirm this. Everything else is pretty much the same. |
Havertz10: ![]() Nigga just dey learn work, no wonder
|
nihilistjnr:This guy is bonkers |
Havertz10:So him face to face with keeper in front of goal is a ball almost gone? Go and sleep man.
