donjazet: Good point, I have always pointed out that coaches like sarri, kloop and poch are very good coaches with their own unique philosophies which need time to implement and adapt to and in the process also develop a lot of players.
This kinda makes them very unsuitable to the biggest clubs who don't have the luxury of time.
Poch can adapt to short term realities and change his formation/tactics game by game. Sarri cannot, neither can Pep.
I can't say much about Klopp on that regard of adaptation, but he certainly has his own system.
swiz123: Sarri left us with two calamities in Kepa and Jorginho. Now we are stuck with finding a way to offload them.
The problem is, which benevolent club would be magnanimous enough to spare some paltry funds on those two players.
Sarri!!!! you shall remain jobless even in the banking sector.
Marina is the cause of the Kepa situation. She mishandled Courtois sale to Madrid, only selling him last minute and then presenting the Kepa deal to Sarri last minute. Sarri just said "Let Courtois go" in the last few days because he did not want to deal with a disgruntled player.
simonjassy: so Basically Ramos knew that with or without him, madrid's chances of going through were abysmal.Drag Varane all you want, ramos being there won't have cause any significant change in this tie.
Don't forget Ramos gifted City the equaliser in the 80th minute of the first leg by ball watching Jesus on a cross
The Hazard of yesterday still looked too chunky and lacking sharpness.
I don't think he will have the mental energy to use the next 4 weeks to get in shape at the end of a 13 month season where players are mentally exhausted and need to take a break.
His decision to enjoy without self control last summer has spiralled into something else. It is now affecting his mental state cos he doesn't look confident on the pitch at all. The fans don't respect him, his teammates don't respect him and won't give him the ball (how can they respect a player who turns up to Madrid fat as if their club is play play). He's now lost confidence to ask for the ball. Now next season is imminently upon us and he is still not in any shape for it.
This is how one bad set of decisions you make can continue to affect your life for a long time. Hazard gluttony of just 6 weeks last summer may have ruined his career and legacy. It is a good life lesson to always be prepared when going into something new.
BlueMann: I watched him, and I'll say I was impressed with what I saw. Fast, decisive, showcased some good positional awareness with the timing of some runs. Had a goal, and also an assist which as chalked off. I liked what I saw.
I enter the match around 7.45 thinking say match want start, na him I see 90 mins for clock
Pierre-Emile Hojberg is a good signing for Spurs. He's a modern DM. Fast, strong, energetic and good technique. I'm surprised other clubs didn't look at him.
I don't disagree for the most part. I only read if for football and general news (without political colouration). The reason I read Daily Mail is simply due to technological supremacy over other news publications. When I lived in London, it was the only news app where you could load the news upfront and go on the subway (where there is no wifi). In 30 seconds, I could load all the news and sports for that day and spend the next hour reading on the train without needing phone signal or WIFI. That's how Daily mail made it onto my phone and never left since. I am a natural Times reader in the days of paper copy newspapers. Now Times has a paywall.
Roland17: Good player, yes, I mean you guys must have seen something before you transitioned him to the first team but better than Boga, especially the Boga of this past season? Absolutely not..I hope he comes through for your sake but I don’t see the hype.
Boga is too self absorbed in his dribbling, while CHO has wider vision and sees his teammates better. The difference between them is in being able to do dribble while lifting your head up.
macjireh: little wonder why Argentina hardly do well in d world cup,, tho they have a star studded team...in recent history there's no team that has won WC without blacks...Black race is truly a blessing
Nothing to do with race. They've done extremely well in World Cup given their population of just 44 million. Colombia with higher population and black players everywhere have never smelt their success. (4 World Cup finals and 2 wins)
PDPGuy: I watched this same doc a week ago. Somethings you thought were unimaginable turn out to be real life history
Yeah, always been a deeply racist country. The blacks there were sent to wars as Frontline soldiers and also kept in ghettos where cholera and other diseases finished them off. My junior brother travelled there last year sha and enjoyed himself. It's always been in my mind as a country I would never visit cos I don't see it as a place for black man to go.
Black people were wiped out in Argentina unlike other South American countries. That's why the Nazis found good escape in Argentina after the 2nd World War cos na demdem.
