airmark:I am bow-legged Sir. Laws of physics are incontrovertible. Start with legs wide apart, you will notice measurable height difference to the naked eye and your friends hand. Each time you bring your legs closer together, the height increase will reduce till you get to a point where your friends hand will not be accurate enough to measure the height increase, but one thing is incontrovertible is that with every change in angle of your legs, there would be change in height. Also realise that your head touching the wall and even your friends hand still has some stabilising effect on you at a suboptimal angle. Assuming you have no bow or k in your leg, your change in height can be measured by the formula LsinΔθ where L is the length of your leg and Δθ is the change in angle between your foot and the floor. This is irrefutable law of physics formulated by Pythagoras. |
airmark:The wall allows you to put your weight on the wall and keep your standing foot at a suboptimal angle without losing balance. Do it without the wall and what I wrote below will happen. Ibime: |
airmark:You are comparing pictures of players in action on a football pitch. Nobody is standing alert. They will all have their feet slightly apart for balance. Even if you pose for picture deliberately, there will be some loss of angle from putting both feet down. I challenge you to stand with both legs slightly apart, then remove one foot from the ground, you will see that your body will shift centre of gravity toward your standing foot and straighten you up. |
airmark:You are wrong bro. Standing on one leg can increase your height. I agree with Elruditor on this one. He is an expert in tallness. Most people standing on 2 legs will keep them slightly apart for balance and to give their balls space to breathe. . . . creating an acute angle between their two feet and the ground. Whereas standing on one leg keeps you straight, forming a perfect right angle between your feet and the ground. A shorter adjacent side will still reach the same height as a longer hypotenuse. In the picture below, line b is shorter than the two outside lines 13 but achieves the same height. Although exaggerated, it shows why standing on one leg makes you taller than two legs slightly akimbo. Pythagoras can tell you the rest.

VVD is taller than Giroud but not by much. Tallness is a talent that allows you to win headers.

sniperr007:Guy, this has been a problem since my first trip to Ariara in the early 90s |
I remember someone arguing here that Batsuayi is 6ft1 as per Wikipedia while another website listed him at 5 ft 11. I told him 5ft 11 is the correct height. Players and clubs lie about billed height all the time. Even the Kepa that is billed at 6ft 1 is closer to 6ft. Fücking short man. |
macjireh:What a great evening. I though Gilmour would crumble but that nigga didn't look under pressure for one minute |
macjireh:Liverpool lineup is stronger than ours. |
My 8 games without defeat in FA Cup finally comes to an end with that last Jimenez goal and the Fernandes fluke strike |
Unlimited22:They should not even think of taking Pickford to Euros, even as 3rd keeper. That Bournemouth keeper should be prepped to take over long term. Him, Heaton, Pope and McCarty are way ahead of Pickford |
nitrogen:Are you waiting for final to be beasted before you know which defender is better? My friend, you follow football on pages of newspapers. De Ligt would slap you if he heard you say he's been better than VVD any season in his career. |
nitrogen:The irony of someone clowning VVD, then listing DeLigt as his top defender. Have you seen DeLigt this season? Someone that lost his place in Juve team. |
Melvyn11:Melvin the farmer

Monaco fans have been targeting Fabregas for his escort work, yet one popizaino thought Chelsea should be challenging for title citing Fabregas as one of the main reasons.

To buy Chloroquine for this UK na wahala oh. Online pharmacists just dey decline my orders upandan. Is there anyone that can DHL to me next week? Please get in touch. |
Jodera:Robertson is much better than those guys jor. Only Alba comes close with his recent resurgence. |
mvem:Thanks |
mvem:Yes, summer should reduce it, although a bit concerned that hotter countries like Bahrain and Iran are reporting cases. It's not the heat per se that kills viruses but lack of moisture. In colder countries, we close windows in winter, turn the heating on and the indoor environment is generally damp and moist. Whereas in summer, windows are open and there is no moisture for them to thrive. |
Swissh! Fenibeso fire you dia! Someone will be trolling Chelsea while getting knocked out by Olympiacos. Tufia!
|
mvem:Ebola was not highly contagious. Corona is. Before Ebola infect 1,000, Corona has infected 1,000,000 So 3% of such a widely transferrable disease is a big deal, and can translate to millions of deaths within a short space of time. Thankfully, by April or May, we would have an effective drug against it. Remdesivir and good old Chloroquine are proving highly effective so far, just require more testing. |
HewlettPackard:James always run slow when running backward. Like Mourinho once famously pointed out that RLC looks fast when running forward but slow when running back. Na the same thing dey worry James. |
tsephanyah:It is not by any Government standard |
tsephanyah:So 2% fatality is low to you? |
Leyqute:Stop talking like mumu. Jesus is faster than Ramos and that was a short distance. Alphonso does not need to pull Mount back to catch him. |
Leyqute:There are 30 yards between that ball and the goal. Only a foolish defender will be running behind you for 30 yards when he has pace to run around you and still recover. Do you think Usain Bolt will escort Giroud for 30 yards if Giroud put his body in front? Analyse with sense please. This is not a 10 yard dash where you can block off a much faster player successfully. You did not know the pace Alphonso has, therefore you thought that was a chance. Simples. From the way Mount made his run, Mount already knew he can't outpace that boy so he made his run with the intention of squaring the ball to a teammate, that's why he decelerated to wait for a teammate. When he saw no teammate was in the box, then he has to go for a low quality shot under pressure. Mount knows his opponents strength which is why he made that choice. You didn't know his opponents strength, that's why you misyarned to say a chance has been fluffed. As the game wore on, that's when you realised the pace that boy is carrying, but too late to correct your earlier misconception that that was a chance. You no know ball! |
Greatihex:We did play conservatively yesterday. That fool Azpi gave away the first 2 goals. |
Leyqute:This is why you no know ball. The minute he got that ball, I knew Alphonso would catch him so I never counted it as a chance. You no know Alphonso speed hence you no know ball. If Giroud is being chased by Usain Bolt there, would you count it as a chance? You no know ball! |
airmark:We need to start thinking long term and planning these guys out. Tomori can't be worse than this. Same goes for Jorginho, apart from the usual candidates we want out. There are some players you can't win at top level with. They just play well in small games and are liabilities in big games. See the way Muller was running through the edge of the box on that first half. I was wondering if Jorginho is supposed to be playing DM or not. Even that Gnabry 1st goal, he ran through Jorginhos section to get there. At first Jorginho was 2 yards behind him but ended up 10 yards behind by the time Gnabry scored. These type of players like Jorginho and Rudiger need to be on the chopping block too, not just the Alonsos and Batsuayis. |
Even as a fellow Ijaw man, I have to question who falls more between Abraham and Morata. Ahn ahn, that guy was falling when nobody touched him. |
A40:His excuse is valid so long as his lagbaja costume weighs 18 pounds, but it won't save him from getting the run-around next fight |
We lost this tie the minute Bayern sacked Kovac. Hansi Flick really has them in a solid shape. |
