Kovacic should have been the sub. The midfield has been overrun all 2nd half |

Greatihex: you are missing it. raumdueter said that hazard only topped the assists chart last season because kdb was injured. then, i am asking, in all the seasons that kdb has played in the epl, did he get more than 15 assists?
if there is one season that kdb did not have more than 15 assists, what makes raumdeuter think that if kdb was fit last season that he wouldn't have had just the same number or below of assist with the time he didn't have more than 15?
that is my point KDB has NEVER played a full season in EPL and not topped 15 assists. |

Biggieboy: Just imagine wot was going through Van Dijk's mind when Kante was marking him in the picture below. This is simply down to zonal marking. All the tall boys have zones to mark. The procedure is for them to deal with whatever drops in their zone, rather than man mark. Kante is a free man whose job is to disrupt/man mark the oppositions biggest threat and unbalance them from getting a good run and leap at the ball. This allows the zonal markers a fairer chance to win the ball. Kante job is not to jump with VVD, but simply to stop him running and gaining momentum. Often with zonal marking, the zonal markers lose the aerial duel because the opposition have a clear run at the ball and have more momentum than a standing jump. Kantes job is simply to disrupt that momentum. That's why he is gumming body to VVD, and putting arms round him so VVD can't run. I would expect other short players like Jorginho would have been doing the same to Matip Good thinking from Lampard. I've always preferred man marking to zonal, but this tactic opened my eyes to how to reduce risk in zonal marking. It's been long I learned something new in football. |

raumdeuter: Another polling booth award the type Modric won and you were wailing about last season. The same award ibime called polling booth 12 months ago is the one he wanted to give L for Modric may not be WPOTY, but the fact he won showed he is at least a very good player, just overrated to WPOTY status. You told us VVD was utter crap. To get nominated for WPOTY means he is at least a very good player. |

KingAzubuike: And lampard is already showing signs of favoritism with Tammy, mount and tomori. I hope this won't be his undoing. Tomori and Mount are already feeling like part of the group. Within 2 matches, they have slugged out with European Champions and gave a good account of themselves. Not like times past where Tomas Kalas and co will play once a season and be feeling like outsiders and uncomfortable around the first team. This is how you create players for your first team in the long run. |

Another reason why FBS should return soon. He'd have been penalty taker number 5 Yeah why didn't Pedro step up? That's a bïtch move for such an experienced player |

A player as tall as Tammy should not be taking penalties.
Tall players cannot get whip on the ball from that range and their body language is too easy to read. |

What exactly is a tomori coming in to do? Tomori sub is a bit unnecessary |

We don't need new Hazard
We are spreading the ball to everyone and taking advantage where the opponent has gaps, not passing to the same man everytime, regardless if there is no space to attack on his side. |
