The north has never minced words about its position in the Nigerian project, the north has never hidden its disapproval for anything that resembles a restructuring of the nation because as we all know, the status quo favours them most. And yes, it is not about opposing the Igbos (as most Igbos have now been deceived to believe), rather it is purely about protecting their own interests and the interests of their people.

It is high time all Igbos start asking pertinent questions about what our leaders are doing to protect our interests when they get to Abuja. We cannot keep blaming leaders from other tribes and zones who are fighting tirelessly to protect the interests of their own people. Where are our own leaders?

Igbo people must stand up for what is their rightful place in Nigeria project.
Igbo leaders in Abuja should do away with competition among themselves and fight for common purpose.
They should stop talking about being marginally treated in the scheme of things in Nigeria.
Agitating for Biafra republic is not the solution.
Solution is in the unison of purpose to fight for the benefit of the people and not selfish fighting as it is today.

That is what I use to think also. I was shocked when I discovered that Oriental Hotel is largely owned by Chinese owners of WEMCO Industries in Ogba, Lagos. Renaissance Hotel is owned by a relatively unknown man (Got the info from the agent who helped the man acquire the land). FirstNation Airline is owned by the same owners of Bellview Airlines (you can take that to the bank). For the first time, we are witnessing a president who have the liver to identify and pinpoint where a problem originated. We like glossing over our problems in order to look good.
But it is always good to know the genesis of a problem when you are proffering a solution to that problem.
Buhari government is a corrections government. We must know all our failed and failing points, what decision led to us failing at a particular time, how do we avoid falling into the same pit once again.
These processes must be followed accordingly to make available a better solution.
Anything short of identifying where we got it wrong before making attempts on solutions is like running in a circle.
