Thegamingorca: The gaming section died eons ago. What's left in there are scrappers of remnants in a wasteland.
The only thing I can say might be worthwhile in there now are empty halls of topics that tell the story of a once thriving community which sadly faded into nothing. I go into different sections and for every serious thread there are about 25 spam threads lol |

You wan buy train ticket, "what plan do you want sweetheart?" It's used everywhere in the UK... You're treading on dangerous grounds if you say it to a student though |

I don’t think Nigerian kids are that much better behaved than oyinbos, even with all the free rein to discipline as you want in Nigeria, we still have issues of cultism, rudeness, delinquency, spoiled children, drugs etc. |

Solofresh2: okay I get you.I am the guy in question She is a friend and I am developing little feelings for her.Though,i haven't told her yet and am traveling out of Nigeria next year by late January Compliments of the season I suspected If you’re travelling then don't even bother, you’ll be wasting both your time and her own, on a foundation that’s already shaky. Bikonu lol Seasons greetings |

ecolime: You are the one talking rubbish. What's your NET & disposable income from the £2,300?
How are you able to afford a mortgage with that peanut?
You think everyone on NL is an ignorant poor man like you Cost of living will be different per area, £28000 is not even peanuts in London, it’s the shell of the peanut so it’s considered very low However that kind of salary may spread further in Telford |
Romance › Re: Can A 22 Year Old Guy Date A 27 Year Old Lady With A Child by ibkayee(f): 12:09pm On Dec 27, 2022 |
Solofresh2: Different places in what sense 22 year old - new graduate, seeking for a job or has an entry level job, not likely looking to settle down, biologically speaking brain has not even fully developed/matured 27 year old (with child) - still young but likely more established career wise than a 22 year old, higher chance of looking to settle down than 22 year old, looking after a child is a lot of work and responsibility and catapults you into another layer of maturity, even for a 27 year old |

A 22 year old guy and 27 year old lady (with a child) will typically be in VERY different places in their lives |

I'd go with the Camry |
Politics › Re: 2023 Election: Atiku Challenges Tinubu To Debate by ibkayee(f): 11:00am On Dec 27, 2022 |
Ask Tinubu to summarise his own manifesto and he will probably decline too. This guy does not have the interest of the masses at heart, he can't even pretend. Becoming the president is his retirement plan, you will get nothing from him but entitlement, shouting 'emi lo kan' like a toddler. |

sukkot: forget that thing oooo. teachers collect hot slaps from students in normal and grammar and private schools. and quite frankly as a black person nobody is hiring you into private or grammar schools anyway. you are going to state schools were young jamaican thugs will be slapping you everyday Lmao clown |

sukkot: nna mayneeeeeeeeee all the kids are the same. whether na grammar or normal or private school. all spoilt brats with a sense of superiority to any other race and they are ready to give you wotowoto especially if you are from africa I'm saying 'wotowoto' that comes in the form of violent slaps is more likely to come from a normal state school. Grammar and private school kids are troublesome too but their misbehaviour will likely manifest itself in other ways, not violent slaps on the teacher |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What Does It Mean To Be A Teacher In The Uk? by ibkayee(f): 10:26am On Dec 27, 2022 |
sukkot: the uk is a land of unique circumstances. you raise your voice against children thats an assault. you may not do time in prison but you will do a few hours in a jail cell . and what do you mean no one can assault you and go free ? maybe in america but in the uk assault is no big deal like that . just depends on who is being assaulted. if its a white woman or children then they will make it a big deal. if its guys or immigrants ? its no big deal Lol sukkot this your fear mongering Teachers coming from Naija and going to the UK will be going from one extreme to another You'll be going from a place where you essentially have free rein to assault a student under the name of 'discipline', to a place where teachers have minimal rights to enforce it and when they do it's heavily regulated |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What Does It Mean To Be A Teacher In The Uk? by ibkayee(f): 9:50am On Dec 27, 2022 |
being: U haven't even mentioned the 40% tax yet..
And some will completely ignore the situation described above forgetting that having a 1-0-1 food regime in Nigeria is better than being insulted by kids... Actually with that salary it will be a 20% tax rate on anything above £12,571 so the take home will not be £2,300 @ecolime £28,000 is a low salary sha, teachers in the UK are notoriously paid low. Even private school teachers aren't paid much better But then again, is it much better in Naija? Anyone planning to take this opportunity should weigh their options and pick their poison That saying, many people trying to japa are also looking for a saner and better functioning society, not just money Good luck to them |
