It's not a fake story my sister I just got home now and cant stop thinking
I just dont want to share the chat we had before I went over to his place. He said him and his friend ate light food to sleep last night, I should have left my place earlier to come make them food cry
Honesty it sounds like this is a script...the 'useless naija man' tropes being used sound too intentional and specific embarassed embarassed cheesy

I get the feeling that this is a fake story, it lowkey sounds like one of those wattpad bsdm stories lol 'it is your duty', do people speak like that naturally?

But if it isn't

1. He clearly has no tact or manners, no matter how you feel that's not the way to speak to anyone
2. He had no issues 'reprimanding' you in front of a third party

He sounds like a d*ckhead basically

So the topic of some women not necessarily wanting to completely prioritize marriage over building a career, and women not wanting to be defined by marriage because some may not be interested or ever get married has turned to women don't want to get married? Spin of a narrative if I ever did see one cheesy

Like i said, the Expectations are changing and changing very very fast.
In the next 10-15 years from now, The middle and lower class won't encourage any man to marry a jobless or broke lady and this is a FACT.
Lol sure smiley

You don't need a perfect society or a highly favourable condition to make it.
So far so good, a lot of active women have taken advantage of society now and doing very very good for themselves, family and spouse.
You don't need a perfect system before you stop complaining because a Failure will always have an Excuse where there is none.
For example, years ago when i was in JSS class, i had no textbooks because my parents were poor.
Do you know what? When i get to class, the little time i have, i borrow books from people whose parents provided all textbooks for them, they hardly read or use them. I do take some home to go read and jot important things down because tomorrow, i know i may not have the grace or liberty to have it.
Guess what? I am always either the first or second best in the class despite being at a position of lack educationally, financially or time wise because when i get home, i still help my family with business like poultry or farming.
Like i said, i had all the opportunities in the world to give an excuse for failing, All - from not having textbooks to not having time to study to not having money to eat sometimes when we convert No food, no breakfast to emergency fasting.
Like i said before - A Failure will always have an Excuse no matter what even where there in None.
What most ladies have today is more than enough to make them financially comfortable without relying on a man but Unfortunately, a large percentage of them are FAILURES.
I don't even know what we're debating, men and women are valued differently because of a system of traditions passed down from generations.

No matter how much more progressive things are currently, these standards are still a core part of most of our upbringing, and are reinforced in some way everywhere we go.

Are men valued more for their finances than women or not? Are women valued more for their looks than men or not? When the average woman is looking for a partner, what's the common criteria compared to when a man is looking for a partner? There will be exceptions but what is the common theme across each gender?

As far as marriage is concerned, is a broke woman viewed the same way as a broke man?

Who exactly is failing? Society is changing and plenty of women are taking advantage of this, the same Naija women working, contributing to their households financially, cooking, cleaning, and raising their kids at the same time?

I'm not a traditional man, I don't care if a woman is happy or not, I just want to meet that woman. I respect people and their opinions and desires. It will be indeed interesting and fascinating to me if I do meet such a woman.

However, I'm not talking of a bitter woman, a lesbian or an ugly duckling, I'm talking of an attractive, healthy, successful and smart woman who will rather have a career than a family or rather date a man without marriage for the rest of her life.

All I want is to be friends with such a lady. Find out what makes them tick. I'm fascinated with unconventional people because I consider myself one to a large extent.
I think it’s important to consider and distinguish between those who don’t want to/would rather not get married openly and those who don’t want to/would rather not get married but keep it to themselves and go along with it for the sake of peace in a marriage obsessed society (probably more than most people realise). They’re out there, you may well have met some, but 'pointing them out' just isn't the most straightforward

"omo get inside" means an introvert. "Tokunbo" means a person that just came back from overseas after spending most of his/her lifetime there.

Oya answer my question now cheesy
Oh, well I consider myself more of an ambivert than an introvert

I'm not a 'Tokunbo' because I am not back in Nigeria, neither have I actually ever lived there. I was born and brought up abroad and still live abroad
