Politics / Drugs Worth 2 Billion Naira Seized From Nigerian In India (pic) by Ibrahimcoomasie: 3:40pm On Dec 14, 2023
Biggest-ever Drug Haul in Bengaluru City.
Based on the confirmed leads, the Central Crime Branch sleuths on Monday raided a house in Ramamurthy Nagar and arrested the suspect.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has confiscated contraband worth a staggering Rs 21 crore (2 Billion naira) by arresting a Nigerian national, in what has been described as the biggest-ever drug haul in Bengaluru.

The seized contraband includes 16 kg of MDMA crystals worth Rs 16 crore and 500 grams of cocain worth Rs 5 crore, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda told a press conference on Tuesday.

This was by far the biggest seizure of illicit drugs in Bengaluru. And it was also the first time that such a large quantity of cocaine had been confiscated, Dayananda added.

The arrested suspect, 44-year-old Leonard Okwudili, arrived in India on a business visa and lived in eastern Bengaluru's Ramamurthy Nagar for a year.

The drugs were supposed to be sold to a very select clientele during the New Year's celebrations. He was planning to supply the contraband to NYE parties, college students and techies, police investigations reveal.

According to police, Okwudili had wide contacts with drug dealers from Delhi and Mumbai, and sourced the contraband from them. Police believe he used courier services and public transport to move the drugs around. One of his common tactics was to conceal the drugs inside packets of churidar sets, bedspreads as well as soap and chocolate boxes.

The CCB raided his house in Ramamurthy Nagar after receiving a definite tip-off, Dayananda said.

Police have now summoned the landlord and taken his statement about Okwudili's background. They are also investigating if the landlord was involved.

A case has been registered at the Ramamurthy Nagar police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Rs 1 lakh cash prize for CCB

The police commissioner has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh to the CCB's Anti Narcotics Wing that carried out the raid.

Zik was selfless and he wanted the north to feel belonged, unlike Awolowo who was parochial and selfish. Zik did what he did in order to help the north integrated with the south and not feel left out.
The North never asked for Azikiwe's help. Infact, the North disliked the Igbos. Azikiwe was just a means to an end for the Northern cabal. He got played. Lol

This Ironsi is a tribal bigot too. Thanks for this post.

Ibo soldiers majorly planned the coup. Ibos in power escaped or where out of the country when the coup happened; hence, there lives were spared.

Ibo man (Ironsi) became the beneficiary of the coup. He selected 3 advisers to determine the fate of the nation and he chose all Ibo (Francis Nwokedi, Dr. Pius Charles Nwabafor Okigbo and Colonel Patrick Anwunah). He also got an Ibo man to draft the decree (Ben Akabueze). He also made an Ibo man the attorney general. He continued the Ibo agenda that Azikiwe always dreamed of.

All that in a few weeks of holding power.
Imagine the damage he would have done if he was in power for longer.

You mean when Gowon was abolishing the 4 Regions Nigeria had and embarked on State creation with Decree 14? Or when he removed resource control with decree 15?

Bow come you guys still dont know it was Gowon who abolished the Regions? Or is Gowon an Igbo man?
Controversial Unification Decree No. 34 was Ironsi's brainchild.Ironsi declared all Nigerians want an end to regionalism.

We all know he meant Igbos not Nigerians. His advisory committee was made up of his kinsmen. He replaced the attorney general with his kinsman too.

Immediately after the speech two Governors kicked against the proposal to break rid the regional system. They were, Major General David Akpode Ejoor from Ovu in the present Delta State, then serving as the Military Governor of the Mid-Western region and Major General Hassan Usman Katsina, who was then serving as Governor of the Northern region.

Lt. Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu , Military Governor of Eastern Region welcomed the decree while Lt. Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi, Military Governor of Western Region never commented on the promulgation of the decree.

People have conveniently ignored the most imorant part of the write up "three big, traditionally hostile regions"

Even they could see that the unity of Nigeria was a disaster waiting to happen, time has since proved them right
Awolowo saw that it was an experiment that was bound to fail. The man was truly more advanced than his peers. He pleaded for secession clause to be added to the constitution and Ahmadu Bello backed him. Well, Azikiwe messed it up.

Truth be told, I am closer to a Niger republic or Chad person that any tribe from Southern Nigerian. A Western Nigerian is closer to Beninoise, Togolese, Ghanaian e.t.c. than an Igbo or Efik person. An Igbo man is closer to a camerounian than the western or northern Nigerian person. We can go on and on. Well, it is what it is.

That was when Awolowo arrived Lagos after Ojukwu released him. Nigeria was operating a confederation then. Each region controlled their affairs and paid certain percentage of income to the center. Even Ojukwu stopped paying that when things deteriorated. If Gowon couldn’t force Ojukwu to pay tax that was even constitutionally binding, it was to release Awolowo that he will take order from Gowon.

To whom brain is given, sense is expected!!
Why do you like to much. This is what happens when your spend so much time listening to the likes of Nnamdi Kanu.

Ojukwu can't release Awolowo when Biafria was not declared almost a year after Awolowo was released. As at 1966 when Awolowo was released, Calabar was under the firm control of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

If I ask you to show us a proof of Ojukwu releasing Awolowo in 1966, I am sure you can't show us.

Ojukwu didn't receive orders from GOWON, because GOWON was his Junior in the Army. Ojukwu didn't recognize GOWON.

So carry that foolish Propaganda and bury it in your Worthless brain.

Rubbish talk. That video was recorded in Calabar prison.

Biafria was declared on May, 30 1967. Awolowo was released on August 3 1966.

Politics / Re: Oba Of Benin In Lagos, Says Tinubu Presidency Is God-Ordained by Ibrahimcoomasie: 12:59am On Nov 27, 2023
FreeStuffsNG:

This was what the Yoruba used to think and believed.

Since 2015 and the last election shattered it so bad that in Yorubaland now, the Yoruba no longer give that special affection and bias in favour of Edo and Delta again.

The Yoruba equally realized that they really can do without the agelong political alliance with old Bendel political and cultural alliance. Most Young Yoruba just group them along with others, they do not even know that the Edo and Itsekiri are our blood. Imagine old Bendel going against Action Group. Pa Awo must be turning in his grave watching what played out last election.

Honestly, the era of that blood ties seem gone. It may take several election cycles to restore it.
It's unfortunate but that's the reality now.

I recall that the current Oonirisa said in 2015 that any group behaving like the Bini, with its root from Ife, that is revising their history and cutting off their link to the Yoruba is free to do so but when they do so the Yoruba will not look back. That prophecy by the Ooni of Ife is coming to pass.

Today, HE Sanwo-Olu treated the Oba of Benin as an outsider and guest who came all the way from Benin to receive tutorials on Yoruba culture. Smh

That's what Oonirisa meant in 2015. They will come back but it may be too late. They came back but it's too late as they are now seen as outsiders. The Benin royalty is Yoruba and today, the same Head of the Yoruba descendant-Benin royalty is receiving lectures in Yoruba history after the one same Oba of Benin received in Ile Ife immediately after his coronation.

The Oba of Benin will really need to move around a lot and do a lot of work if he wants his place back in Yorubaland.

That museum project of the Oba should be a global Yoruba project to help him instead of making it a small Bini project. At best, he makes it a Yoruba-Benin project to help him revive the Yoruba link of the Edo people so that the Yoruba can help him achieve his goal. Right now, the Yoruba don't even care.

The Yoruba now call and see Edo as outsiders. What Oba is seeing there as the Yoruba Culture centre is the product of the Yoruba, we can help him too if he offers to use his museum project to project his Yoruba link wink
I saw that presentation to the Oba of Benin on the statue of a Yoruba king. Ooni Aderemi, Oba Akenzua II, and Oba Erediauwa will be turning in their graves. Anyway, no bleeps to given..

franchasofficia:
As usual, the usual Yoruba lies and propaganda against Igbos that all Yorubas are taught in school right from their various cocoa farms.

Ojukwu left Biafra land in a private jet with all his family members and family members of his Vice Col. Philip Effiong, Yoruba people stop telling lies oh, stop believing the lies your demon possessed elites tell you about Igbos just to make you people hate Igbos without reason. Ojukwu did not sneak out in a woman dress, Ojukwu left gallantly in a private jet with all his family members.

Jets were landing and taking off from Oba Airstrip even in the heat of the war, even when Nigerian troops crossed over the River Niger into Biafran side, jets were still landing and taking off from Oba Airstrip which served as Biafra's official airport then.

This feat shocked British people and BBC Journalists couldn't contend their shock as they reported it widely on BBC Radia and other broadcasts.

Biafran local engineers constructed that airstrip as soon as the war broke out, they constructed the magical airport lights that made it difficult for enemy troops to sight plane arrival and take off but yet easy for relief planes to land and take off smoothly.

Forget, Igbos are too good to a fault, forget say we de put hand for nyash de smell finger with you dull people in.the name of one nation, if we had our own country that we had been fighting for for decades now, them no born any Yoruba well to even report Biafra news without permission, na to bomb the Radio or TV station without notice. You see how Israel and rest of Arab countries relate or how North Korea and South Korea be, na so we go be and una know that's why fear of unknown no wan gree you people and Hausa-Fulanis to allow Igbos you so much despise to go form their own country.

Earlier this year, an Igbo lawmaker raised a motion for Nigeria's disintegration to be discussed, Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani lawmakers shut him down cos they know they cannot survive without Igbos they despise, what a miserable people. You hate someone yet you don't want to live on your own without that person, is that not pure madness? Tell me if not what then can we call such irrational behaviour?
You listen to too much Simon Ekpa and Nnamdi Kanu bollocks. Please Provide links to the bolded else you pulled those out of your arse.

Eternal condemnation is the payment for sin, not "earthly" death like alot are trying to make it look on this thread. That's one of the reasons Nigerian politicians get away with a lot of rubbish. We leave them to Karma.
