Below is a link to the formal complaint I wrote to the national chairman in January 2024

Letter he wrote to Abure:

Mr. Julius Abure,
National Chairman, Labour Party

Engr. Udengmobofa Udengs Eradiri,
Governorship Candidate
Labour Party
Bayelsa State

Dear Chairman,

A Case of Sabotage by the Labour Party Leadership in Bayelsa, Bribery, Injustice, Failure to Refund My N10m Excess Payment for Forms by the National Leadership and Others.

I use this medium to express myself to you and the general Labour party members believing that something will be done about this criminality and flagrant abuse and disregard to the Labour Party Constitution under your watch. I have severally raised issues about these issues, but you refused to deal with them squarely. Instead, I have become a target humiliation despite my loyalty to the ideals and dictates of party and its constitution.

I joined the Labour Party in 2022 and took part in the party's governorship primaries of 16th April 2023 and won the primaries to represent the Labour Party as its governorship candidate in Bayelsa State. After winning the primaries, I faced more opposition and setbacks within my party than I did from my real opponents.

First, I bought my forms for N25million and when the decision was made during the sales of forms to reduce the amount to N15million, I was never refunded the extra N10million. I had written for a refund but was ignored by the party leadership. Attached is a copy of the letter. I need that my refund. I contested the primary election paying higher for the forms against known moles and PDP government agents pretending as aspirants. All efforts I made to expose them fell on deaf ears. I had to put more efforts to win the primaries.

I commend the team that came for the primaries headed by the National Deputy Chairperson, Madam Ladi for displaying uprightness despite overwhelming pressure from the Bayelsa State Government House.

ENIYE Zidougha, a former state party chairman was a mole in Labour Party. In fact, he was an extension of the PDP. He has been an appointee of the Bayelsa Government, a Director in the Bayelsa State-owned Microfinance Bank.

Zidougha got the position in exchange for accepting to hold briefs for the PDP in Labour Party. I resisted all attempts to remove him by National Chairman, Bayelsa stakeholders , the LGA and ward leaders, who eventually suspended him and even his executives because I firmly hold that people cannot just wake up and remove a leader without following the laid down procedures.

Having led organizations, I also know the procedures, more so timing is key in every situation. I knew that as at that time any issues of such nature would have led led to crisis that the opposition would have taken advantage of the same way it happened in Rivers, imo and Lagos states.

I have no powers whatsoever to remove a state chairman of LP, a Local Government Area head or a unit chairman. Therefore, I had no hand in the removal of Zidougha. Kindly keep me out of it. Our constitution is clear about conduct, elections and removal of officers of the party and no part of that document gave me such latitude. I am not an interloper. I only concern myself with things that are within my powers and my authority. It is your prerogative to decide whether to congratulate and support bad behavior or discipline erring members.

I made sure we had a cordial relationship until it became inevitable to stop the influence of the PDP government on our party and my campaign activities. They made efforts to undermine my election using our state exco whose members comprised 50% PDP government employees. The following were the ways the Bayelsa State LP Exco worked for their paymasters in Government House:

1.The state exco compromised the party and ensured that most of our candidates for the state assembly, House of Representatives and the Senate were not on the ballot. They negotiated with the PDP government and deliberately refused to upload their names.

2.The ENIYE Zidougha problem with me escalated when during the visit of our Presidential Candidate and the National Exco to flag off my campaigns, he went secretly to arrange a courtesy visit by Labour Party delegation to the PDP Governor of Bayelsa State. I thank the National Chairman for vehemently turning his proposed visit down. I also commend the Presidential Candidate, who expressed shock at the development and immediately rejected it. The plan was to use the media to publish the visit as an endorsement of the governor by the LP and immediately announced that the entire structures of LP had been collapsed into PDP by Peter Obi.

3. The same way they excluded candidate for Assembly, Eniye had a meeting with the PDP through IPAC to sell the codes for the upload of party agents and I told the National Chairman about it and we refused handing the code over to ENIYE because he had concluded to transfer the codes to PDP. The PDP would have uploaded agents on behalf of Labour Party. This is what criminal-minded party leaders do to shortchange their own party for monetary gains. But I blocked it.

4. He wanted to be state party agent at INEC but I refused because I no longer trusted him and his leadership, which had remained transactional.

5. About the 8th of November, ENIYE and his executive members held a meeting in Government House and later went public to denounce Labour Party and declared support for the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the election after allegedly collecting N100million.

6. I was actually in a training session with party agents when one LGA chairman, who was in their meeting came over to inform others that the money they were expecting was N100million but Zidougha came to declared that our of the bribe money, N50million was sent to the LP national. I called you immediately and informed you about the development. But you denied knowledge of it and promised to take action by asking the Publicity Secretary to debunk it in the press. You actually asked me to do a draft of what the statement should look like. I did. But nothing was eventually done. I keep wondering why you failed to take action over such grievous allegation of indeed you knew nothing about the largesse.

7. I travelled for a vacation after the election only to see a publication from ENIYE that I had been removed from Labour Party. I laughed and sent it to you from abroad and when I returned I visited the party office in Abuja to lodge a complaint. I must confess that I had never seen the kind of hostility meted on me by you and some members of the NWC. You claimed that during my interview with the Arise TV on the 9th of November, I mentioned that the national executives partook in the Bayelsa N100m bribe. The following was what I told the Arise TV: "100m bribed Labour Party Bayelsa to abandon their candidate for the PDP, which I saw coming and that the chairman claims he sent 50m to the national. I have called the chairman who denied knowledge of such money and I await his actions”.

We met in your office and you asked the Southsouth Vice-Chairman to go investigate the matter. I was very uncomfortable because of the level of hostility that office showed to me. I met him and others to explain the context of my interview. I later discovered that the issue was not the fact that Labour Party sold out their candidate, but about why I mentioned something like that in my interview with the Arise TV. It amounted to beating someone and expecting him not to cry. I never heard from him and he refused to pick my calls. I only hear his radio announcement, which I sent to you sir.

8. All through the campaign, the Woman Leader was the only executive member, who was consistent till the end. The Chairman and Secretary followed me a few times at the beginning and stopped and started mounting pressure on the woman leader to stop accompanying our campaign train but we never relented as the LGA chairmen and ward leaders were always with us throughout the campaign period.

I am not worried at the loudness of the silence and inaction from you Mr chairman. But the fact is that you are under oath to do your job as chairman of Labour Party to protect the right of every member especially of a loyal governorship candidate. I don’t have the kind of money others display so whatever I have I put in for the progress of the party. This treatment is unfair to me and I demand the following:

1. The list of the offences I committed in Labour Party to deserve this level of unfairness.

2. The National Working Committee should set up an independent investigation of the crisis in the Bayelsa State chapter of the Labour Party.

3. Those in the national level, who took part in the sharing of the money from Bayelsa State should be exposed and made to face disciplinary action on line with the Constitution of our party.

4. Set up another independent panel to probe the National Vice-Chairman, Southsouth over the alleged N100m bribe from the Bayelsa State Government House.

5. Probe Eniye's deliberate plot to sabotage the party especially in the area of selecting the party's agents. ENIYE sent to me all the agents that I sent to administrative department of out party which was uploaded as LP agent. I discovered that a good number of them were PDP members deliberately sent as part of the deal to frustrate the party especially when I had refused to allow him fund his planned trip to abuja to partake in the uploading process and also replaced him as a party state agent. This became evident during and after a post mortem of the election was done by my team.

6. I demand an immediate refund of my N10m being the excess money I paid to procure the governorship funds of Labour Party. Recalled that the forms were initially sold for N25million but were later reduced to N15million with improvise that the excess would be refunded. But that promise has not been kept despite officially requesting for it in a letter.

Chairman I am a law-abiding member of Labour Party and a respecter of the party's Constitution. I only demand justice, which is also guaranteed by our constitution. I will seek justice by any lawful means necessary.

Yours Faithfully,
Udengmobofa Eradiri

Politics / LP Governorship Candidate In Bayelsa Claims Party Soldout To PDP For N100million by Ibrahimcoomasie: 1:13am On Feb 19
Dear Labour Party. @NgLabour

I am writing to urgently draw your attention to the pressing matters that I am concerned about and might as well be affecting the Bayelsa State chapter of our esteemed party.

Since my candidacy as the Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party in the November 11th elections, I have consistently raised concerns about the anti-party activities within the Bayelsa State chapter.

Regrettably, despite my formal complaint to the national chairman, no action has been taken to address these critical issues. To recap, I brought to your attention the anti-party crisis within the Bayelsa State chapter, detailing how I was allegedly sold out for 100 million naira to the opposition party, the PDP, during the last election; rather, I was being queried by the leadership of the party for mentioning such a critical issue on national television.

It is disheartening that, despite the gravity of these allegations, the national leadership has not taken decisive action or convened a meeting to address these concerns.

Furthermore, I previously wrote to the party through the national chairman @Julius_Abure regarding my outstanding balance of 10 million naira from the sales

of the governorship form. Since every other candidate bought their forms for 15 million naira and mine was for 25 million naira, before the party stakeholders meeting that led to the slashed price and promised to refund my 10 million naira excess balance

Below is a link to the formal complaint I wrote to the national chairman in January 2024.

Unfortunately, there has been no response or resolution to this matter, and I implore the national leadership to address this issue promptly.

To recap, rumors are circulating about the alleged transfer of 50 million nairas to the national party from the 100 million naira bribe taken by the state excos from the opposition party to sabotage my candidature, which has only intensified, and the silence from the national leadership is fueling suspicions that some party leaders may have collaborated with the state leadership to compromise our party's integrity during the November 11th elections.

I urge you to investigate these allegations promptly, as the credibility of our party is at stake. It is imperative that the Labour Party maintain transparency, accountability, and fairness in all its dealings.

Failing to address these issues not only jeopardizes our reputation but also undermines the trust and confidence of our loyal supporters.

I eagerly await your swift action in resolving these matters and restoring the faith of the members in the party's commitment to justice and accountability.

I hope this has nothing to do with the purported targeting of Igbo-owned businesses as a punishme t for supporting Peter Obi to demystify and defeat Tinubu in lagos during the presidential.elections.
So when Soludo was locking up shops owned by Igbo and demolishing building, was he targeting ibos too because they did not vote for APGA?

Ps: ibos are not the only traders in computer village. The people I know that personally sell computers and networking equipment at Otigba are Yorubas. The buildings are owned by Yoruba landlords.

How. How big is the whole of Lagos itself.
Tech is not solely buying and selling of laptop and phones. The biggest tech companies in Lagos (research, software development, networking, online merchant, payment platforms, start ups e.t.c) are not even anywhere near the computer village.

Politics / Anambra 2025: Pressure On Soludo To Join APC by Ibrahimcoomasie: 8:39am On Feb 17
IN their determined effort to take over Anambra State, officials of All Progressives Congress, APC, are believed to be mounting enormous pressure on the governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo to dump his All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and contest the 2025 governorship election under APC.

But APGA has dismissed it with the wave of the hand, describing it as the wishful thinking by APC.

This came as the South East leaders of APC visited the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, soliciting his support to enable the party take over Anambra in 2025.

A chieftain of APC claimed in Awka on Friday that series of delegations have been meeting Governor Soludo to persuade him to defect to APC because it would be easier to use a sitting governor to go into the 2025 governorship battle.

He said: “APC is interested in taking Anambra State this time around. Big wigs in the party in the state and at the national are already talking with the governor to join us because politically, it will be easier and cheaper to invest in a sitting governor as our candidate in that election, than bringing a greenhorn into the race.

“We are hoping that our discussion with the governor will be fruitful. But you know that from now to November next year when the election will take place, is a long time. Even 24 hours is a long time in politics. But we are hopeful.”

He, however, said that the party has plan B, adding that if the governor doesn’t succumb to the pressure, the plan B will be activated.

He did not elaborate, even as he insisted that APC is very much interested in Anambra State.

Reacting to the alleged pressure on Soludo to defect to APC, the national publicity secretary of APGA, Mazi Ejimofor Opara said it was totally untrue.

“It is the figment of their own imagination. Soludo is not somebody you can be pressured to take decisions. So, anybody talking about the governor’s defection to APC is just concocting stories”, he said.

Only recently, a former national auditor of APC, Sir Paul Chukwuma said he decided to join the 2025 governorship race having failed to convince those in authority in Anambra State to join APC for the purpose of taking the state to the center.

“The state of Anambra today is worrisome and it needs to be rescued. I made effort to convince those in power now to join the ruling party at the centre, but they refused. Because they refused, I decided to present myself to the service of the people”, Chukwuma said.

Listing the advantages of being on the same page with the party at the center, Chukwuma said Imo and Ebonyi states are already enjoying those privileges.

He said: “Go and look at the two states in the South East that are being governed by APC; Ebonyi and Imo, and compare them with other states that are governed by other political parties, and you will see the difference.

“In Anambra, there are erosion sites everywhere and we cannot tackle them. We need federal government funds to be able to combat them. That is why I’m saying that the problem is not with those who are governors today, but the party they belong to.”

As the battle to take over Anambra continues, the leadership of APC in the South East has met the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe.

South East national vice chairman of the party, Ijeomah Arodiogbu, told Igwe Achebe that despite the seeming disapproval of the party by the Igbo, the surest way to link up with the centre and enjoy the dividends of democracy, is to support the APC, which he said, has tremendous respect for the traditional institution.

He said: “As we make consultation in Igbo land on how to make the APC an acceptable party in the South East, we must consult the likes of Igwe Achebe owing to the strategic importance of his throne and the good people of Onitsha.

“We have come to Onitsha to associate ourselves with one of the finest rulers in Igbo land, and given such pedigree as paraded by the Obi of Onitsha, we know that Igwe Achebe is a man of several exceptional qualities, which men like us would always love to associate with. I must say that I am indeed overwhelmed by the level of intelligence and background knowledge of the Obi of Onitsha on various topical issues of Nigeria, especially in the spheres of economy and security.

“Let me state that the APC under my watch will always respect and consider traditional rulers as important storehouses of wisdom, and would regularly seek such priceless counsel at all given times,” he said.

Responding, Achebe wished the party well in their consultations. Those in Arodiogbu’s delegation to Igwe Achebe include the APC Zonal Organizing Secretary, Dozie Ikedife, one time senator representing Anambra North, Emma Anosike, and the Vice Chairman, Anambra APC North, Emma Ekwuaju.

Politics / Customs Intercepts Truckloads Of Food Heading For Niger Republic by Ibrahimcoomasie: 7:55am On Feb 17
The Nigeria Customs Service (NSC) joint border patrol team, Sector IV in Sokoto, says it has intercepted truckloads of food heading for Niger Republic.

NAN reports that Kolapo Oladeji, the coordinating comptroller, said customs officers impounded the trucks at the Kajji community on the Sokoto-Kebbi road.

He said the truckloads of food items were heading to neighbouring Niger Republic through the Kebbi border.

“We will leave no stone unturned to block food smuggling out of the country because of the current situation,” he said.

“We all know that prices of food items have skyrocketed because of the activities of some Nigerians.

“Our people are hungry but prefer to take the food to other countries despite the border closures imposed by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

“We will continue to trail them and block their routes. And whoever is caught in this infamous act will face the full wrath of the law.”

Nigeria is grappling with food inflation and economic hardship. The federal government recently announced the release of 42,000 tons of grains from the strategic reserves, to alleviate the hunger pervading the land.

The comptroller added that operatives also seized a consignment of sex-enhancement drugs worth N19.6 million.

“These drugs are hazardous to the health of our people. Some of them even carried fake National Agency For Food, Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) registration and expiring dates,” he said.

Politics / Anambra Seals Uwa Mgbede Market, Onitsha Over Poor Sanitation, Other Infractions by Ibrahimcoomasie: 3:08am On Feb 17
The Anambra State Government has sealed the popular Uwa Mgbede Market, located along the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in Onitsha, over poor “environmental and unapproved practices”.

The popular market is a terminal bubbling with buyers and sellers of various food items such as rice, beans, pepper, tomatoes, onions, yams, fish, and meat, among others.

The personnel of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra Brigade, led by its Managing Director, Celestine Anere, sealed the facility on Friday.

This is coming a few weeks after the popular Fruit Market along the expressway was also sealed and traders forcefully relocated to the Ogbaru fruit market.

Anere said the market was sealed off for various environmental contraventions such as unapproved location, filthy environment, blocked and littered drainages, illegal and indiscriminate parking and abandonment of trucks on the major road, among others.

He said, “The market was sealed off for various environmental contraventions such as unapproved location, filthy environment, blocked and littered drainages, illegal and indiscriminate parking and abandonment of trucks on the major road, among others.

“Traders should use the various approved markets by the state government which are secured and off the roads for their safety and betterment.

“This is to warn traders constituting self-markets without approval from the state government. Anyone caught will have his or herself to be blamed.”

Meanwhile, the development generated lots of reactions as the traders lamented that no notice was given before the officials embarked on the action.

A trader, Joseph Ukonne, said, “This market has existed for over 20 years. The traders don’t constitute any environmental hazard because we clear the drainage system every week and sweep the environment at the end of each business activity every day.”

THE VERY MANY SINS OF LABOUR PARTY NATIONAL CHAIRMAN.

From Forgery, to Bribery, Betrayal of Trust. Diversion and conversation, Theft.

I have been a staunch supporter of the Labour party @NgLabour National chairman, Barrister Julius Abure @JuliusAbure for quite sometimes now.

But with the unending accusations and counter accusations from all corners against his person, I decided to take a second look at things, as an investigative journalist. I scrutinized the accusations against Abure, and went into deep investigation to unravel the mystery.

What i found out after my painstaking investigation, was truly heartbreaking, and it corroborated previous accusations. That made me to change my stands about him. He is truly an epitomy of corruption. A lion in sheeps clothing, the master of pretence, and the secret killer of LP.

Mrs Elizabeth Ativie, a bonafide member of the All progressive Congress (APC) who was a former Deputy speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly, & speaker for two months, contested the House of representative primaries for Orhionmwon/Uhunmwonde fed constituency under APC & lost.

But Julius Abure did his abracadabra magic, and sold the already contested and won labour party ticket for that federal constituency by Honourable Murphy Imasuen outrightly to her.

To pull off his plan, Julius Abure forged withdrawal letter of Hon Murphy, & summited it in court. He used it to substitute Honourable Murphy Imasuen, for Elizabeth Ativie.

Murphy was surprised, when his name didn't come out as a candidate for that federal constituency, rather Elizabeth who never contested for primaries.
He had to write to the Court to verify the affidavit

Whom LP National chairman Julius Abure claimed that he Murphy Imasuen swor to, in withdrawing his candidacy.

Abure was exposed that he took a purported bribe of 30 million naira, to forge, substitute, & sell that fed constituency ticket to Elizabeth Ativie, he started begging.

The court affirmed that the document was forged, so Julius Abure started sending emissaries to Honourable Murphy Imasuen to plead. He offered Murphy Local govt ticket, slot as a member of the Labour party campaign council, and many more. To persuade him to back down.

A recorded telephone conversation between Honourable Murphy Imasuen, and Julius Abure.
In a peace meeting brokered by Rev Olu Martins. You will hear Julius Abure accepting his guilt and making offers to appease Murphy.

Abure Forged Documents of withdrawal and substituted the LP governorship candidates of Ebonyi & Plateau state, many house reps and Senatorial candidates across the country. He outrightly sold tickets to opposition sponsored candidates.

Watch out for part 2.

To be continued.

Abductors of Emure Pupils arrested.

2 Vigilante officers involved...

This recent breakthrough was made possible through the dogged effort of our gallant men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) ably led by their Commander, CSP. OGUNDOLA MARCUS.

In our relentless and deliberate efforts to rid the State off criminal elements especially kidnappers and the quest to ensure the arrest of the hoodlums behind the killing of two traditional rulers in Ikole-Ekiti and the kidnapping of some school children and their teachers in Emure-Ekiti as well as other kidnapping incidents in the State, the Command Rapid Response Squad (RRS) commenced a thorough investigation and operation and arrested Eight (cool members of a kidnapping syndicate and neutralized one. A check by VANGUARD on Monday afternoon confirmed that only one video remains on the account. The video was shared ten weeks ago, and the comment section remains locked.

Iwobi is one of the players that faced criticisms after Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday. The Fulham midfielder featured for 79 minutes as the Eagles failed to add to their three AFCON championships. Iwobi was replaced by Alhassan Yusuf for the last 10 minutes of the game.

Politics / LP Treasurer Oparah Asks Abure To Account For N3.5bn by Ibrahimcoomasie: 3:56pm On Feb 12
A fresh crisis is brewing in the Labour Party, LP, as the party’s National Treasurer, Mrs Oluchi Oparah, on Monday demanded that the National Chairman, Julius Abure render an account of party funds over N3.5bn being proceeds of sale of forms and sundry fundraisers for the 2023 general elections.

Oparah made the demand on Monday at a press conference in Abuja.

The treasurer alleged that Abure prevented her from exercising her constitutionally assigned role of handling the party’s accounts.

Oparah equally claimed that the chairman has shunned all entreaties to open the party’s books for scrutiny after the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms closed before the 2023 general elections.

Oparah said: “Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the press. I stand before you today with a heavy heart and a sense of duty to the principles of transparency, accountability, and justice. With great reluctance and deep concern, I am compelled to publicly address the media regarding the egregious financial mismanagement and corruption that have plagued our beloved party under the leadership of Mr Julius Abure, the current National Chairman.

As National Treasurer, I am constrained to come before you and the public today because the internal mechanisms of our party have failed woefully to bring Mr Abure to account for his brazen abuse of office and misappropriation of party funds.

“His appetite for power has grown unchecked, and he has deliberately undermined my duties and authority as stipulated in the party’s constitution.”
