sakaguchi: Ogugua88, what can I say? Well, people dying at 65 in Nigeria is not abnormal, it is the norm. What do you expect when the life expectancy is in the 50's? Anyone who dies at 65 unfortunately in Nigeria dies at a ripe old age. It is saddening but that's the truth. Until our Govt fix our hospitals, repair our roads, upgrade education to enlighten everyday folks and create wealth so that idle youths don't find solace in marauding about killing innocent country men and women. Until the govt does that, life expectancy will still be in the 50's and dying @ 65 is a ripe old age. By the way, tell your boyfriend sexkillz that criticism are meant to make people better, as a moderator, if he gloss over advices and obstreperously acts in inane ways, it is called immaturity. #just felt like saying it though, maybe coming from you, he can learn to be more reasonable.
I thought i was the only who noticed that the mod-dude is suffering from paranoia and i very much know he aint gonna end up with the reasonable girl mod for better for worse just wonder the level he's gonna sink into when that happens, hopefully he won't be a mod by then and Nairaland won't suffer his nervous breakdown.Back to the matter, Umole has always being a role model for young dads all over the city if not the country and his demise is a big blow to the Cast, Production crew and to we the viewers;my heart goes out to his family on screen and in real life.May his soul rest in peace.

I can imagine the terrible havoc a little fart from an unfortunate inmate amongst the horde would wreak, probably would result into some casualties.Back to the matter, Govt should deregulate and privatize the Prison system; If they cannot handle the human crush as these people need a conducive environment for reformation, reorientation and rehabilitation. There are investors who can turn this into a very lucrative venture.

Marotzke: Relevant Authorities? You report your country's representative to CAF over a domestic misunderstanding in order to embarrass Rangers or Nigeria? Do you know the meaning of Treason? What do you call Omo Ale in your language? Since 3sc is a state owned Club, let's wait for Oyo State Government's Reaction to this travesty. I hope the so called official forwarded the 60, 000 USD to the relevant coffers.
This has never happened in the history of African Football to say the least.
Sports › Re: Enugu Rangers Disqualified from CAF Confederation Cup Over Ineligible Player by ichidodo: 1:52pm On Jul 03, 2013
Please allow me to say this is a most heinous act of betrayal and unpatriotism by 3sc, what got rangers in to this quagmire was because Chigozie Agbim was called up to the Super Eagles and having no standin goalie to prosecute their games, they had to make use of the alleged player. If rangers had refused to release Agbim for national duties it might have jeopardised our world cup qualifiers or Confederation cup matches now their act of kindness and patriotism has come back to haunt them.I dont know if shooting stars would do same if the club involved was sunshine stars, kwara united or ABS.Shame to 3sc and the yoruba people.

So he is a democratically elected president, but the people of Egypt are rightly upset with morsi for increasin the influence of the Muslim brotherhood, who can be said to have links to terrorism, in his Government. Its just like Gej appointing Shekau to a cabinet seat or better still Shekau as the President appointing Kabiru sokoto and co as Ministers. I guess the Military would be religiously pissed talk less of the people, interesting to see how this scenario plays out in the end. Will the president be booted out? or will he call on the Muslim brotherhood for help thus leading to Civil war? grin grin grin

Politicians are our problem in this country. How can an individual bring in Aliens to come and terrorize the local populace; throw the whole polity into chaos just to score cheap political points against the Government at the centre. So if your party is not in power would you sacrifice your mother to get it there? What kind of dimwitted idealogy do these Party-men follow? The youths of Borno should be commended for their action, Government/JTF is bogged down with too much redtape in these matter, our muslims Brothers should not leave it to them alone. They should take charge and end this menace in their domain...Up Islam.. grin grin

Samuraigirl: I couldn't help but shake my head in shame at some of the comments you lot have made up here. Try to get your facts right before you put any trash here as you'll only end up displaying your heights of ignorance (and ignorance is no excuse) hence disgracing yourselves.
Have you students never stopped for a brief moment to wonder at the state of our university environment and how debasing most universities tutors offices and lecture halls are? Some even share office spaces and have had to furnish their offices using their personal funds. I had a very brief stint with one of the major oil companies when I returned to this country. There was so much at my disposal- luxury office space, everything good that you can imagine as you read this were part of the perks the job offered but I had to leave the job for lecturing in one of the fed.unis. This was what made me decide to return home and I was only diverting from my original intent taking up the initial job.
I practically shuddered when i was told how much I'd be getting as a tutor with a doctorate degree but i went ahead with the job.
My second disappoint was being shown a store room sort of as my office and the worse part was having to share it (i love my personal space and i was completely put off).
Told them straight up that i wasn't going to work in such immediate environment. Was promised an extreme make-up of the space but no i didn't get that even after series of applications from me and the dean to the works dept. Did I say the dean's office was also a turn-off? uncountable yeses to that. Well, the summary of this all is that I had to cough out a little over a million to get my office fixed to my taste. I've been promised a refund but i'm not banking on that. Was told of office reshuffling couple of months after i'd fixed my office but i had to make it known upfront to the authorities that I wasn't moving an inch. Then came the case of my having to temporarily give up my space for a foreign prof who was on his sabbatical. I bet you know what my response was. I even had to contribute about 40 percent of the money used in purchasing a power generating set for the faculty as the one they had was a noise mill right behind my office.
I have spent alot providing study materials for students and some other things i've had to personally fund.
I was opportuned to be in the office of one of the legislators in Abuja when I was doing an EIA job and i was suprised at all the facilities my eyes saw not to mention the bunch of men clad in suits all in the name of PA. I asked myself what particular jobs this lot did that they provided these men to assist them and at the end of the month, taxpayers monies will appear in their various accounts.
I could go on and on but i'll stop here. I think you students deserve better than what you're currently being dished out. I don't see students unanimously revolting in this country. Why is that? We're richly blessed in this country. You and your teachers deserve better learning environment, working environment and working conditions. So if you lot can't stand up for yourselves, let your tutors do that for you while you stop spewing trash fron your gobs.
Uttter load of tosh...

Acidosis: ...and after all these demands, they won't stop harrasing their female students... begging them for s£ x, frustrating their lives just because the dangling rod between their legs won't let them rest...

Lol, I heard they've upgraded. Our Nigerian lecturers do not beg ladies again o... They now enforce their intimate demands..
The girl get a lodge, she pays the cash for the hotel room and then call the Mr I-will-die-without-s£ .x-Nigerian ASUU lecturer to come over... cheesy

What a f00lish union of old shameless men..

Rather than cut off the stick between their legs so they can impact the knowledge our generation needs.. They go about pursuing girls around campus, slashing their scores so they can put their useless rod to use...

You guys should watch out for my up coming thread!
Its going to be raw! Bloody! I've declared war against these lecturers s£. xturers!

It will be an open platform for Nigerian students to publish the full names and details of Lecturers demanding s. ex from female students.

I was in one of these campuses few days ago.. and I heard about 3 different issues on the same subject matter.. Mind you, these are the same Men demanding endless demands from GEJ..

They want the money.. They want the s. £x.. But I'm going to show them Hell..

We are not all f00ls
The lecturers are holding the future of Nainja students for ransome.... I say Kidnapping those goons should not be a terrible idea....Especially the Chairman. If Nigerian undergraduates can be so proactive,do something about this matter and not let their future go to the dogs... angry angry angry
