Goshen360: Brother, no let people catch you with these things you dey talk o, say na demon\devils dey cause headachesLol,again. Seems you don't want to answer my former question directly. Let me put it thes way, When God created man was it His intension that man will someday fall sick? Where does sickness originated from,is it from God or the devil? Are we(christains) surppose to fall sick? |
quote author=Goshen360] God! Is it you saying this? Are you implying ALL sickness is caused by demons or devils IN A CHRISTIAN? So if I have headache, it is demon or devil making me have headache? If a Christian have typhoid, is that caused by the devil or demons? As matter of fact, what is the difference between falling sick and being possessed by demons? And what is the Christian being delivered FROM? waiting from an answer please[/quote]Lol So if someone(a Christain)have headache or fever that's not attributed to the devil or demons, then where is it(headache/fever)from? Is it from God? Is God the originator of some kind of sickness in the lifes of His children? If you say its not from God or the devil then where is it(sickness)from? Though, these not what my last post was even talking about.but let's start from here. |

Goshen360: My God, how did I missed this postLol Bro,so after all these many many scriptural quotes and interpretations, you are still saying a Christain don't need deliverance or what is actually your point here? If Someone is cured(delivered and is now a Christain) from malaria/typhoid fever(demons) is he(a Christain) now completely free from future sickness? Bro,christains no dey fall sick? As it is physically,it,s also applicable spiritually. Expect you are saying that a Christain don't take drugs(which is a kind of deliverance) |
Romans8:19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Paul told the brethrem in Roman that the Whole creation itself are still under bondage of corruption, even them(Paul and co.)awaits their full redemption. And some Christains are still saying we don't need deliverance. |
Joagbaje: @OPVery true |
Christianity is NOT a Religion but Christ Himself, and the ways of a Christain is also Christ.(the Head and His body/member are the same) |
I came to send fire on the earth. (Luke 12:49) Fire always finds things out. As it creeps and encroaches and overtakes, it makes one discrimination between things that it can devour and things over which it has no power. It puts them into those categories; the finding out, the classifying, the deciding. Look at the context, Luke 12:51 – “Think ye that I am come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division.” He goes on – “There shall be from henceforth five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. They shall be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother in law against her daughter in law, and daughter in law against her mother in law...” – discriminating, setting things in the category to which they belong. One category is that which can go on and abide and endure because it is of God. The other will be licked up by the fire, and simply pass out of existence. “The fire shall try every man’s work,” said Paul (1 Cor. 3:13). The fire of unavoidable and unerring discrimination. That has ever been the effect of a work of the Holy Spirit; to put us into the place to which we belong. It is a kind of dividing thing all the time. Are you for, or are you against? Are you with, or are you not with the Lord? Are you going on with the Lord, or are you not going on with the Lord? The Holy Spirit is pursuing that course all the time to find us out and to just classify us like this, so that when the Holy Spirit has worked we are in definite categories. Division has come, and it is unavoidable... |
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe Him. (Ephesians 1:19 NLT) After His resurrection our Lord was, because of the peculiar nature of His resurrection state, no longer subject to natural limitations. Time and space now had no control of Him. This principle abides, and it applies now. When there is a living in the values and energy of resurrection Life we are children of eternity and of the universe. Prayer touches the ends of the earth, and the significance of our being and doing is of universal and eternal dimensions: there are no limitations. So then, beloved of God, the natural life is no longer a criterion; whether it be strong or weak matters not. Its strength does not mean effectiveness in spiritual things, whether that strength be intellectual, moral, social or physical. Its weakness does not carry a handicap. We are called to live and serve only in His Life, which is the only efficient and sure one. What is true of the Head must be true of the members. What is true of the Vine must be true of the branches. What is true of the last Adam must be true of every member of His race. "Planted together in the likeness of His resurrection" said the apostle (Romans 6:5), and he prayed that it might be more and more experiential – "that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection" (Philippians 3:10). That should be the prayer of every true Spirit-led servant of Christ... |
Happybirth day sir. |

We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. (2 Corinthians 1:9) We know that those who are not the Lord’s people are not alive to the fact that they are dead(Luke9:60). Death is not the great reality to them until they come to their body dying. But in their ordinary life when things are going on and there is health and provision, death is no reality to them. But death is brought home to the child of God. Immediately we get into God’s hands this thing begins to be brought home to us – that we are not much good, we cannot stand up to things, we cannot go through. Our natural life and resources do not count here. The course of a true Christian life in the hands of God is that of being more and more brought to the experience of helplessness. Is that not true? Yes, of helplessness, of the impossibility of everything. Do not think things have gone wrong if that is becoming our consciousness. We may take it that we are in an immature spiritual stage if we have not come to that realization that in the realm into wh ich we have been introduced in our relationship with God, we have no resource. We are as a dead man. The death fact is brought home to us, is made real. But on the other side, resurrection is taking a certain form over against that. With that background and with that basis, more and more we are being brought to the position where we have to say: "That was the Lord, it is the Lord; We cannot account for that, it is all of God," and we know quite well that resurrection is all of God. We can go a long way in many clever things and inventions, but we have not gotten as far as raising the dead yet. That is God’s prerogative. That is only God. And so in the hands of God the child of God is being brought progressively more and more, and still more, to the place where they have to say, "It is of God, it is all of God" and that is the testimony coming out. The Lord did that, the Lord is doing this. Is that not in Israel’s history in the wilderness? See how again and again they were brought to an end, which did seem to be an end... nothing beyond this, and then they had to come out with a new song – The Lord did it! It is victory over death, it is the power of resurrection Life. |
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28) When we are really "in Christ," to use Paul's phrase, we are always regarded as being together, though we may be thousands of miles apart. The Lord Jesus does not look upon us as being in this country, in that country and in another country. He Himself is the only* COUNTRY* in this universe, and so we leave our country and our own nationality when we come into Christ. The Jews were exclusive and said: 'We are the only people and our country is the only country.' Jesus went outside those frontiers and touched the world outside.... In the Lord Jesus every earthly division is removed. There are no British, Swiss, German, French or Nigerian in Christ. He is only one Nationality and that is a heavenly one. He is only one Language and that is a spiritual one. He is the heavenly Country. No matter what we are here, in Him we are all together as one Man in Christ. All the earthly distinctions of place and time disappear in Him. It may take us a long time to travel about this world, though men think it is a very wonderful thing to travel at so many hundred or thousand miles a minute and get to the moon in no very great time! But, dear friends, in this very moment in Christ we can touch our brethren six or seven thousand miles away. That is a miracle.... This Life is eternal Life; it is timeless; it knows no space; everything is present when Jesus is present... |
John 3:16 New International Version (NIV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever* BELIEVES* in Him shall not perish but have eternal life You don't do anything to be save, you only believe |
To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God. (2 Corinthians 2:16,17) The Lord has not called upon us to form CHURCHES. That is not our business. Presumed men would recognized this fact! A very different situation would obtain today from what exists, if that had been recognized. It is the Lord Who expands His Church, Who governs its growth. What we have to do is to live in the place of His appointment in the power of His Resurrection. If, in the midst of others, the Lord can get but two of His children, in whom His Life is full and free, to live on the basis of that Life, and not to seek to gather others to themselves or to get them to congregate together on the basis of their acceptance of certain truths or teaching, but simply to witness to what Christ means and is to them, then He has an open way.... The Church is not increased by our going and taking a building and trying to get people to come to it, then forming them, by a church roll, into a local church. That is not the way. Growth is by Life, and this, to begin with, may be by the entering into Life of but one soul, and then after a long waiting time of another; or it may be more rapid. But the point is that it is increase because of Life. That is the growth of the Church. For the growth of His Church, the Lord must have Life channels, Life centers. I believe that, given a Life center, sooner or later one of two things will happen, that it will be abundantly manifest that Christ is fully and finally rejected there, or else there will be an adding, a growth. There is tremendous power in Life, and the Life of the Lord either kills or quickens. It depends on the attitude taken toward it. He is a savor of Life unto Life, or of death unto death. Things can never remain neutral with Him ... |
WAP: I am wondering if the Bible ever says 'Let's the poor says I am rich' as we always mis-quote Joel 3:10. ''Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong'.So what's your point, are you saying Christains are not surppose to be rich? |
Ubenedictus: and outside that christ in us salvation isnt posible Ubenedictus: and outside that christ in us salvation isnt posibleYes |
Outside Christ there is no salvation. The Church is not a physical building, neither is it all christains in the world. The Church is simply the Spirit of God/Christ in every man and woman in the world. |
OLAADEGBU: Yes. Who do you think has a better chance of deceiving the brethren? Atheists and skeptics who often attack the church from the outside make the church pull together and become strong but when they attack the doctrines of the church from within that is what weakens it. Remember Balaam's counsel against Israel?Ok,but in the below parable its not so. Matthew 13:24-30 New King James Version (NKJV) The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares 24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” The Lord said we should let them be,lest while we gather up the tares(Works of Darkness)we might also uproot the Wheat(Works of the Kingdom).that we should both to grow together until the harvest(the fruits of both are ripe)then and then are we to cast them out...Matt13:27-30. |
OLAADEGBU: "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them" (Ephesians 5:11).Brother, What if the works of darkness is being propagated by a follow brother, should one OPENLY reprove/rebuke them? |
jaydude: U are f.ool.ish...ure d next to post just after d op and ure quoting his sermon...seun needs to educate some Nlders on quoting posts!lol. According to Proverb14:17,who is the f.ool.ish one here? Try and get yourself busy. |
jaydude: What happened to all the people Jesus told to go wash in the river and they got healed? I'm not siding those pastors doing it because some might be fake of course, but its possible for God to give such instructions to a real man of God...we only need the Holy spirit to discern true from fake pastors....did Jesus not use spit and sand to heal a blind man? If it were these days everybody would say such a pastor is fake...what is wrong in using water to cleanse if its a direction from God?Christ came during the time of the the Law,so all the miracles He performed before His Resurrection was in line with the Jewish Law,did He spit in any one eyes/asked any to go and wash in the river after His Ressuretion?or did Paul/Peter asked any of the early Christain to go and wash in the river to be clean? Any spirit that tells a Christain to go to any river to wash inorder to be clean is simply not from God Period!! |
He that overcometh,I will give..(Rev3:21,2:7) Here, we see the Overcomers have their function to be God's vantage ground in a day of widespread spiritual declension and failure, to be vantage points, that upon which God can act and say. Here is my THOUGHT positively expressed; here is the THING that I am after! 'That is the function of the Overcomers, to be to God like. that. ‘Here is the thing ’(God is saying); ‘look at this..... look at Christ and you have what I am after, what My MIND is!' The Overcomers is for that. God's thought concerning His Church is that it should be gathered out of the nations, slowly but surely formed into a Bride worthy of giving to His Son as a gift, without spot or blemish or any such thing - given to Christ as His bride to be for Him the instrument, the agency, of filling and fulfilling the coming Kingdom throughout the ages. That is God's thought about the Church. Can we say that that is being realized in any commensurate way? NO, but God holds to His thought and He seeks an inner company whom we are calling an Overcomer Company to stand for Him in this service, to be a link between Him and His full thought in His people, and to be that instrument for the realization of His full thought, to serve Him, to see His face. To be to His Son the agency of filling the Kingdom and fulfilling the Kingdom in the days to come. That is tremendous service. It is unto that that the Overcomers are called. If we want to be in the work of the Lord, if we want to be the Lord's servants, it is not given to a special class called Ministers and Missionaries. It is to a whole company, to every one who overcomes. ''He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with Me in My throne'' (Rev. 3:21); ''...will I give to eat of the tree of life" (Rev. 2:7)... |

okeyxyz: What is sin but the consciousness and value-system of the law? That is what we should work continuously to rid ourselves of.Dude please do speak English.and stop confusing viewers |
okeyxyz: Everything you write above is all abstract, but you have not nailed it down to reality...l 1 John 1:8-10 New International Version (NIV) 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. Dude are you calling God a liar? |
greatgod2012: Let me suggest a name: |
One thing I know; that though I was blind, now I see. (John 9:25) What is the beginning of the Christian life? It is a seeing. It must be a seeing. The very logic of things demands that it shall be a seeing; for this reason – that the whole of the Christian life is to be a progressive movement along one line, to one end. That line and that end is Christ. That was the issue with the man born blind in John 9. You will remember how, after they cast him out, Jesus found him, and said to him, "Dost thou believe on the Son of God?" and the man answered and said, "And who is He, Lord, that I may believe on Him?" Jesus said unto him, "Thou hast both seen Him and He it is That speaketh with thee." And he said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped Him. The issue of spiritual sight is the recognition of the Lord Jesus, and it is going to be that all the way through from start to finish. We may say that our salvation was a matter of seeing ourselves as sinners. But had it been left there it would have been a poor lookout for us. No, the whole matter is summed up into seeing Jesus; and when you really see Jesus, what happens? What happened to Saul of Tarsus? Well, a whole lot of things happened, and mighty things which nothing else would have accomplished. You would never have argued Saul of Tarsus into Christianity; you would never have frightened him into Christianity; you would never have either reasoned or emotionalized him into being a Christian. To get that man out of Judaism needed something more than could have been found on this earth. But he saw Jesus of Nazareth, and that did it. He is out, he is an emanicipated man,he has SEEN.. |
Canisma: T.B Joshua only prophecies death death deathSo what's the cateria of knowing/discerning a true prophet of God?is it merely prophesying/doing miraculous deeds(even Satan can do better than that)or is it by imparting a Person(Christ) to believers?(NO DISRESPECT to him and his Ministry ooh) |
ezme: The authority of a government who got into power via rigging is from God right? I don't blame you, if your CAN president can say Dr. Uduaghan is God's chosen leader for Delta state, I don't expect you to say anything better. All Authority in the universe is from one source alone |
italo: There are many ways to get to Jesus.Lol |
