Acidosis: In a lay man definition, "anyone born into a christian home automatically becomes a christian. isn't it? okay. . it takes another self decision to become born again by accepting Jesus christ as our Lord and personal saviour."
Many people today claims to be christians because they weren't born into a muslim family, or because they attend a church. .
there's nothing like christains and born again christains.all christains are born again, and a born again is a christain.

Acidosis: someone should please back this up with Bible references
The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof;the World, and they that dwell therein....Psalm24:1.
Everything created belongs to the Lord.
And we Christains are the sons/daughters of God..jhn1:12.
I believe you can do the math from here.

Guitarlife: The precedent that the apostles left us with would have looked like this if properly replicated today : The church at Yaba, then you have all christians in Yaba fellowshipping together and if it was getting too big maybe it'd be broken down to, the church at Yaba North, The church at Yaba west e.t.c.
I therefore see it as manipulative and fraudulent the resolve by our religious leader's to knowingly and subtly cause a strong feeling of dissention among christians through the denominational segregation of the body of christ.
Imagine two different denomination's having their building side by side separated by wall's.
In the early church, they would definitely have removed those wall's. So much for being the bride to one bride groom.
The denominational division's within the body of christ is not biblical and I am surprised that with the amount of resources both material and financial going into the numerous seminaries we have around today nobody is battling an eyelid.
^^God bless you for this post.

The Triumph of Grace.
These are men who broke down in the process of being worked, but Grace triumphed.the Potter did not discard the poor clay.so much depends upon how we interpret this Potter.who is He?this Potter is not a man.how differently men would deal with these people.this is God.He has the clay-yes,the poor stuff;and as He is seeking to work it,He comes suddenly upon something in it that resists, that does not yield.for a moment He pauses, and says,oh,what is this?what does He do? It is not the way of this Potter to say;we can go no further,we must give it up,all our intentions;we will just throw it aside and look for something better. Not these Potter!that is not the God of the Bible!watch Him.He may be sorry that He has met that something, whatever it may be,He may for a moment have to pause, but then we see light come into His face,we see the smile of the triumph of His Grace and of His wisdom,as He says;we will not be defeated,we will have something for our pleasure and satisfaction(Ephns1:5).that is the God of the Bible.our God is a God of purpose(Rms8:28),and He does not undertake anything that He knows He can never achieve.when He starts something,He can perfect that thing; He has the resource(Romns11:33),He has the wisdom(James1:5),He has the patience(Romns15:5),He has the power(Romns1:16),He can do it.He is the God of Hope(Romns15:13)that means the God who never despairs.it is something for our comfort...

John Mark.
Another example from the NT-a young man by name John Mark.he lived in Jerusalem, evidently in a godly home.
A day came when Barnabas and Paul took this young man with them on their great missionary journey..Acts13:5b.from town to town and city to city..John Mark saw the wonderful things that God was doing, beheld the wondrous works of the Lord.but it was strenuous going,it was costly, and when he reached a certain point on the journey,he said "i am not going any further,i cant stand this anymore,i am going home"the narrative tells us that he left them and went back to Jerusalem..Acts13:13..the clay has given out,it has broken down;the stamina been found waiting.the clay seems to have been marred and spoiled, but that is not the end of the story.we know how the story finishes.even Paul says"bring Mark for he is profitable to me..2Tim4:11b.there are some lovely things said about this young man in the end.he is recovered, restored, recommissioned,in full-time service;and it is he who has given us the beautiful book which goes by the name of the Gospel by Mark and many scholars today believe that Matthew and Luke very largely built their Gospels upon Marks, that Mark was the source of the others.so there is a story!."He made it again"

Peter.
If we pass out of the OT into the NEW,at one there leap onto the stage men who embody this great principle.what about Peter? Did he break down? Was Peter poor stuff? In one breath-"if i must die with thee,i will not deny thee..Mrk14:31" and in the next breath-"i tell you i know not the man..Mrk14:71" denying his Lord with oaths,we do not like talking about men in this way, bringing up their faults, but we have to see that dark side inorder to see the marvel of Divine Grace.here is Peter, did that clay disclose flaws, seeming unworkableness, resistance? Hear him speaking to his Lord,to his Master"this shall never be unto thee..Matt16:22,not so,Lord..Act10:14".there is something there in the clay.but the Peter we have today is not the Peter of the old,the clay that broke down.the Peter we have now is a very different Peter, wonderful help and inspiration come from his two letters.in the NT.we love to read them,we love to see him standing up on the day of pentecost,we love to see him dragged before the rulers, standing on both his feet and challenging them with all courage and boldness.what a changed picture from that fireside denial in the courtyard, when the Lord was standing trial for His life.YES! 'He re-worked it' "He made it again,as seem good to the Potter"...

The Church.
"He that hath the sharp two-edged sword..Rev2:12". He's doing an overturning in the churches.the sword is cleaving, dividing, find out, searching and judging, anything that have so largely resulted in the loss of the specific purpose, falls to the sword of the Lord.it is like that, the Lord is saying to the churches in the book of Revelation,as representing the whole church, the same things as He said to Israel here."I am not a bit interested in or concerned with your religious form,I am not a bit interested in or concerned with much religious or christain activity,'I know thy works' I am not concerned with your profession.the thing for which you were raised up,elected, and constituted is My eternal purpose concerning My Son,that in all things He might have the pre-eminence,occupying the first, the full, and final place.anything that falls short of that or contradicts that must come under the sword"."I will overturn, overturn, overturn" judgement begins at the house of God and God always begins with the elders, and the leaders, when He begins to judge His sanctuary..Ezekiel9:6,1Peter4:17.the church in general is going to meet the sword,is going to meet to be dealt with in this way and there is going to be a whole lot of activities and works and professions are all going through the sword, going to be overturned, overturned, overturned, inorder to get to that end which God has appointed.and what is true of the whole Church will be true of any local company of believers,if the Lord sees unreality, sees hypocrisy, mere formality, making His divine things just an end in themselves, sees us turn in on ourselves and not ministering to and forging toward the great end, progressing and developing fullness of Christ, the Lord will, sooner or later overturn that local company, upset it,will bring the sword in and will scatter and will break down and overturn it.it is the history of many a company of the Lords people who have become mere formal and traditional, having lost their vitality and their vision......

David.
We know the fifty-first Psalm(51).that Psalm is a Psalm of David-the cry of a heart overwhelmed with the consciousness of its sin.a great sob rises out of that Psalm, and we know, from the history that lay behind it,that there was good cause for David to weep before God,confessing his sins, crying;"Create in me a clean heart,O God;and renew a right spirit within me.Psalm51:10".we know the tragedy of David's life, the breakdown.this clay was indeed marred in the hands of the Potter.he failed,he broke down, from one standpoint he became a tragedy.we are amazed that the man was capable of such actions-until we know our own hearts.
But,did God discard, did He cast away? God did not give him up.He made the vessel again,so that the David that comes down to us today is not the David of failure, but another one,he is the David of honour, the grestest of Israel's kings,"the sweet Psalms of Israel..2Sam23:1" the David of our belove Psalms-what should we do without the Psalms of David? Apostle James says"Elijah was a man of like passions with us..James5:17"
Yes,the same stuff, the same clay;we know that even in his life there were breakdown,he showed his weakness under the strain, under the tension, but he stands in great honour with God."He made it again"out of that breakdown in Adam, out of that poor stuff that Adam's broken down race represents,He has taken this one,and 'made it as it seemed good to the Potter to make it'.
As they walking and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and "Elijah" went up to heaven in a whirlwind..2Kings2:11.

"I will overturn, overturn, overturn,it:and it shall be no more, until He come whose right it is;and i will give it Him...Ezkl21:27"
The above verse have an
immediate and a much wider context.their immediate context is the life-ministry of the prophet.his times were to see the begining of and the carrying forward,of the fulfillment of these words.but there is also an expanded context, and the expanse of that context has not yet reached its final phase.but here in the scriptures much of that expanded context is noted and mentioned.the "OVERTURNING" had begun when the prophet was caused to make that proclamation of Jehovah's intention.the immediate context, then was that of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem as the symbol and representation of the nation which was chosen of God for a purpose,God's special purpose;the nation which had been carefully, painstakingly and patiently constituted and disciplined unto the purpose, and then had so lamentably failed,so tragically missed the mark.unto that nation the words were addressed;"I will overturn,overturn,overturn..untill.." it was a progressive movement unto Christ's second coming.
The reason? The lost distinctiveness as of that nation's life.they have gone out to the world in illicit and forbidden relationship of a spiritual character and the world had been let into them in a defilling and corrupting way, resulting in that which is always and ever an abomination to God-'Mixture'.in and amongst His people there was the lost distinctiveness of their life, the lost vitality in the means which God had provided for the realization of His purpose. He had provided tabernacle and temple, priesthood and feasts, and much more.He had made a great provision in this way,but all was intended to be a vital and effective means to an end,NOT as an end in itself.that vitality had been lost in the temple, priesthood, sacrifices, ordinances, and they had all become a formality,a mere daily routine, something being kept up,something just in itself;a great formalism;without life, vitality in the means had gone and God's deposit was dead in their midst.they have lost the vision as to the purpose of their existence.they were claiming to be a special people amongst the peoples of the earth.they were using His name, but the purpose for which they were the God's people had been los to their consciousness;their vision of the great object and end of God in choosing them among all peoples of the earth had been lost.
They were carving on,but without vision, without purity, without vitality.all that led to this "I will overturn overturn overturn" the prophecies lead to the lost glory in and over the people of God.the glory was lifted up and moved right away, and the Lord says about such a state;"I will overturn, overturn, overturn"overturn, overturn, overturn" 'This cannot go on'...

Abraham.
And then to Abraham.in his life,God never hides what poor stuff he is in himself. He lets us see his flaws-the flaws in the clay.He lets us see all his weakness and how he broke down,He lets us see that, but for that mighty hands of His,he would have shipwreck.he's no better stuff than others.but he is in His hands and out of that clay, that same clay, the same clay we are made of,there emerges this man Abraham.how much there is in the Bible that is of this character.it is very good, very good; 'as seemed good unto the the Potter'.
.
Jacob.
And what shall we say about Jacob? No one needs to be told that Jacob was poor clay.we know that name has become the synonym for human frailty, weakness, and worse.he belongs to that clay.but he is in the hands of the Potter;and when the Potter has done His work,he forever afterwards is proud to say:"I am the God of Jacob"-The God of Jacob!!!...

From Adam to Abel.

It wasn't long before we come to another breakdown, and once more the vessel is marred.we know the story of Adam's sin,by which he drew the whole creation into judgement, again under curse.
To the man God said "Because you have done this, the earth is cursed for your sake.thorns and thustles shall it bring forth, and you shall eat bread by the sweat of your brow..Gen3:17-18.to the woman He said other things;there would be suffering associated with her life and her function..v:16.
The clay is marred in the hands of the Potter, spoiled, but does He throw it aside?does He give it up?does He say,it is hopeless,it is impossible-I can do nothing with this, and so discard the whole thing? That is not the God of the Bible. He has got poor stuff, poor clay,it is true;it is proved to be very poor stuff, but with that stuff,He sets to work again, and He 'makes again another' and out of the poor stuff we see a man who stands in the Bible with much honour, whose name has come right down through the ages as of one who found the approval of God.the New Testament puts the clear approval of God upon Abel.no greater approval could be given than that the Lord Jesus should call him 'Righteous' "Abel the righteous..Matt23:35."

The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,"Arise, and go down to the Potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear My words"then i went down to the Potter's house, and behold,He wrought a work on the wheels.and the vessel that He made of clay was marred in the hand of the Potter:so He made it again another vessel,as seems good to the Potter to make it..Jeremiah18:1-4.
THE VESSEL RE MADE-the Earth.
The earth was waste and void:and darkness was upon the face of the deep..Gen1:2.it is chaos.but the very next thing we see is the great Potter getting to work on the shapeless, distorted mass of clay."He made it again" and when He stood back from the "Wheel" of creation,of making again,He was able to look upon all things and say that 'it was very good..Gen1:31' that was God's verdict:it is very good.the principle is of very large application...

"Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.Matt18:20"
We must be completely clear as to what it is that God is particularly concerned with at this time in the world's history, and, therefore, what it is that we who are the Lord's children are called unto.the thing that God is doing in this dispensation is the Formation of a spiritual and heavenly Israel.in doing that He is repeating the laws of the old Israel in a spiritual way.He is following along the lines of His with the old Israel, but now on a heavenly and not an earthly basis, because while God's methods may change,His principles are changeless. He has left the earthly basis of the old testament and has moved on to a heavenly basis in the new testament. He has moved from the temporal to the spiritual, and the spiritual is far greater than the temporal..
Which leads us to that wonderful revelation which we have in the New Testament-the revelation of Christ and all His members being made "ONE TEMPLE of GOD".
Christ is our Temple, and in Him we find all that a Temple was ever intended to be.
How we have gone astray over this!we go to many places that are called "CHURCHES"and the word is applied to the building.when we pray in those places,we usually say something like "we have come into thy house today.we are in thy house O God"we are really talking about a building being the Temple of God.
"Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them"when we are gathered into Jesus Christ constitute the Temple of God.
It is not a special building, but people who are in Christ Jesus.this is what God is doing in this dispensation.
"Yet a time is coming and has come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth"..Jhn4:23-24.

It's seems so scary that I just can't go down...
I had the dream in different forms and in all we have to go down from a high level in strange and scary manners.
And hath raised us up together and made us "SIT" together,in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus..Ephns2:6.
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye "WALK" worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called..Ephns4:1.
.."WALK" in love..Ephns5:2.
..."WALK" as children of light..Ephns5:8.
Finally..."STAND" therefore..Ephns6:10-14.
Christain experience begins with "SITTING" and leads to "WALKING",but it does not end with these.every Christain must learn also to "STAND".we must know how to SIT with Christ in the Heavenly place(like when you are on the mountain top),and we must also know how to WALK worthy of Him down here(you still have 2come down and share the Gospel to people on the base of the mountain and show them way to the mountain top),but as you share the Gospel you must also know how to STAND against the enemy of the Gospel.
Staying on the mountain top is for your benefit alone, but preaching the Gospel at the base of the mountain is of great benefit to God.

Isaiah64:8:Yet,O Lord, you are our Father.we are the clay, you are the Potter,we are the work of your hand.
We are in the Lord's hands, and being in His hands we are in the hands of a Potter who knows what He is after..first of all,the vessel(we) is in the Potter(our Lord),and then eventually the Potter is in the vessel.it means that, before ever the Potter starts, the vessel is in His mind,in His heart very clearly.the pattern is not something objective, the vessel is already a complete thing in Him;and then He gets to work upon it and when He is finished,He is in the vessel,He has wrought.what was in Him has come out in it(the vessel).
We say of people's work "i can see who made that,it is just like them" "that is just like so-and so to make a thing like like that".
He is in His work,He is in the vessel that He makes, and that is just what He is doing.sometimes that clay has to be pressed down to a shapeless mass, broken.it is not showing all that He intended it to show, there are defects and flaws and so He crushes it down to hopelessness..a mass without shape.but it is to start again to get something more perfect than has been before,in which He Himself is.
May He give us grace to endure whatever the trail may be,along whatever line of metaphor, the wind, the blaze, supreme heat,or pressure of His hand, all of which is to get us into a place where we cannot be moved, where hell cannot shake us.where His power is made manifest as triumphant over all the power of the enemy..

Though He was a SON,yet learned He Obedience by the things which He suffered...Heb5:8.
And being found in appearance as a Man,He humbled Himself and became Obedient to death even death on a Cross.therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father..phillpns2:8-11.
Obedience was initiated and established in the universe by The SON.
In the begining Authority cannot be established in the universe without Obedience, since it(Authority) cant exist alone.God knew His Authority cannot be established in the created beings(angels and man) because the symbol of Obedience has not been established then.
But a day came The Son emptied Himself and being born in the likeness of men,He became the symbol of Obedience.inasmuch as rebellion came from the created beings,so Obedience must now be established in a created being.man sinned and rebelled;therefore the Authority of God must be created on man's Obedience.
The creation itself was fully established on the Cross when He said "It is done"He did not mean that just Salvation has been secured, but that everything He(His name The SON represent Obedience)represent have been accomplish.
Whosoever believes In the SON,in the past, present and future shall have Enternal life..Jhn11:25-26.

Ubenedictus: the catholic church of course.
you were the person who talked about st justin, are you afraid after you heard what the church fathers believed? Hahaha i think u are scared of the truth. The words used by the angel is my proof on the immaculate conception, 'kecharitomene', gensis says 'i will create enimity between you and the woman'. Who is that woman?
the bible didnt build the church and the apostle werent interested in penning down everything the lord said, instead they taught everything that is why italo gave you the testimony of those who heard from the apostles.
u are the guy who is running from the truth, was origen a pope? Yet he wrote that mary is immaculate.
hahaha a miracle is usually an exception. Mary concieved Jesus though she was a virgin, does that mean that every virgin will be pregnant?
the mother of Jesus the son of God.
no she was 'kecharitomene'
hear the truth
And i will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and hers,he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel,
to the woman he said, i will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;with pain you will give birth to children.your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you....Gen3:15-16.
Sir,can you explain how the above verses relates directly to Mary in anyway?

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the FRAGRANCE of the knowledge of Him.for we are to God the AROMA of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.to the one we are the SMELL of death;to the other, the FRAGRANCE of Life.and who is equal to such a task?.....2Cor2:14-16.
