jieta: Those carpenter you made mention of they are not the mainstream of our team. maybe you should have make use of the word ''apprentice'' which will come good with time bar ogu which age is not on his side.
Is better to have an average team giving you result than a world class team that is underperforming. Oga chriskel we are not saying you should hail the team but objective criticism is welcome. those Carpenters( this word is very offensive please don't use it to address any super eagles player again) is what we have now and am very sure they will give us the desired result. Supported whole heartedly without any emotive bias. Bro u were away for quite some time. Hope all is good? |

TheGoodJoe: Monaco was already shot in the head before the arrival of Thierry Henry. They have to be patient. He does not have a magic wand. If the team was so good, they would not have thought of hiring a new manager.
As I said, Simeone led River Plate, the Barcelona of Argentina to the bottom of the table. That did not mean he is a poor manager. I know Monaco was an already sinking ship. But losing 0-4 at home to Club Brugge will definitely get the management and fans thinking "is Henry the right person to steer back the ship"? Anyways like u said, let's continue watching till not just January, but till the end of season. |

TheGoodJoe: The point is Henry is not a poor coach but needs time to rescue the sinking ship. He did not take over a stellar side. The rough patch is normal and with time he can steady the ship. Men, but losing at home not to Barcelona, Bayern, Real Madrid, PSG of this world but to Club Brugge. And 0-4 for that matter. The management and Fans of Monaco have every reason to think "hope we have not shot ourselves"? |

TheGoodJoe: What of Diego Simeone and Rijkaard who played at the highest level for club and country?
Even Diego Simeone had a very rough patch in Argentina. It takes patience and belief to swing the tide in the direction of the coach. Even Keshi had a rough patch with one of the junior teams before it clicked for him.
Unfortunately, football lacks patience and result is what people think about.
I hope Henry gets the support he needs from the management. He can do it with time. If not, he looks for a smaller club in France and keep trying. Diego Maradona, Ruud Gullit, Marco Van basten, Frank Rijkaard, Michael Laudrup, Ronald Koeman, Gary Neville, Paulo Di Cannio, Franco Zola, Kevin Keegan, the list is endless. As I said "most" and not "all" have failed as coaches. |

Chrismario: Top players = poor coaches Poor/average players = good coaches
Irony of life Yeah mostly true. Look at Nigeria's top footballers and see their coaching careers:Amuneke, Amokachi,Siasia, Oliseh. JJ and Kanu just respected themselves no try am. With the exception of Keshi who by the way did not play football at the level most of those above played. Siasia too tried sha and of course he didn't play at the level those on the above list played. Truely, the average or below average players are the ones that make good coaches. |

junnyjake: Even the ones that are currently successful were not that good during their playing days. Exactly! See how Maradona failed. Why Pele too no try? I have always told people that someone like JJ Okocha can never make a good coach. I have held this opinion since his playing days. Many of them are technically gifted but tactically deficient. |

While we have some key players absent it seems SA might even have more players absent so let's see how it goes and can Rohr reinvite Henry? If he's fit, why not use him. BascoVanVeli: Maybe they've already paid off the referees but seriously it is normal for government to show face once there is success. All of a sudden they will want to do handshakes before kickoff. It is nothing but a publicity stunt but players love it because it means more money. Yeah but the current Government of Edo state has done a lot for Bendel insurance. They have rebranded the team with new Colours, New modern Team Bus, improved players welfare and their home ground is currently undergoing renovation. I just wish the team can do well so the governor can be encouraged and do more in the area of funding. |

BascoVanVeli: Truth but I just want him to focus on his strengths right now. I think this is where Wenger went wrong, he should have made an assist target instead of a goals one. If you are going to be put under pressure at least make it be on something you are great at. Yes focus on his strength which is dishing out those precise killer final passes but he can secondarily work on his shooting accuracy. There will get to a time when managers will start plotting out the antidote against Iwobi's strength. It happened to Hazard. If Iwobi can improve on his shooting ability he becomes unpredictable as defenders will not know whether he will likely give a pass or aim at goal. Such AMs are typically unplayable. |

DrLikita12: They probably think it's a done deal. I hope they win but this type of overconfidence can sometimes affect teams negatively. Hun, it is very very possible that they are unaware of the Super 8. This is a country where so many people that should have no business in football are running football. If the NFF were not aware of Shehu already having 2 yellow cards and still fielded him in the next game what then do u expect from an NNL club administrators. |
