A top source in the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) has confirmed the intention of the football house to cap the duo of Ademola Lookman and Arnold Groeneveld Danjuma when Nigeria play Libya in back to back AFCON 2019 Qualifiers games.

Lookman represented England at various youth levels but he has now pledge his senior international future to Nigeria despite a late push by England.

Danjuma represented the U21s of the Netherlands during the last international break but he refused to close the door on representing Nigeria at senior level even though he confirmed his preference to play for the Dutch national team.

Nigeria have moved to cap the talented wingers and already talks are on with their advisers to seal their international switch before the game against Libya in October, however they are in a rush against time to conclude the switch.

” Time is not on our hands but we will try to conclude the switch for both of them or probably one before the next game against Libya. We are hopeful “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

PrettyCrystal:
A man is reportedly riding a bicycle to Abuja after arriving the country from Morroco. According to an eyewitness who met and spoke with him, the man who revealed he's a Muslim - says he wants to tour Nigeria and take pictures after hearing so much about the country.

The eyewitness identified as Sani Musa Saminaka disclosed that he saw the Moroccan man today at Shanga local government area in Kebbi State as the man took pictures with the excited villagers who supported him for his journey.

Earlier this year (in February), a Chinese female cyclist, Huang Shuang, rode from Morocco to Lagos, Nigeria, within five months. Huang, also known as CICI, said that she was inspired to embark on “cycling around the world’’ after riding around her country.

The cyclist said that her experience in China motivated her to begin global cycling in America where she covered about 5,500 km in two months.

“I am glad that I have also been able to ride from Morocco to Lagos, Nigeria. This is an indication that irrespective of our sex, we can achieve anything we set out to do. “The whole idea about my cycling started when, one day, I decided to embark on a cycling trip around my country, China.

“After the trip around China, I was motivated to take my first cycling around the world to America, where I covered about 5,500km in two months.

“Now, I am in Lagos from Morocco, after I flew from America to France, where I cycled around Europe for four months, before taking a ferry from Spain to Morocco,’’ she said.

The cyclist, who left Morocco for Lagos on September 6, 2017, said her trip was fascinating though she experienced tiredness, robbery, accidents and had had to sleep under bridges and in gas stations. She said that she always travels with money, noodles, tent, sleeping bag, clothes and bicycle repair accessories

Ambode should keep working and make sure he picks the governorship form from any party at all. We Lagosians ain't stupid. This guy has achieved in four years what Fashola couldn't achieve in 8 years.

Tinubu may have his tricks but he still relies on the vote of the masses. The fate of 40 million Lagosians can't be sealed by a group of corrupt "mandate group" who we barely know their names. That's absurd, this is not growth and very unhealthy to democracy.

There's nothing honorable about being a coward, if he's begged Tinubu, chased him from from one state to another, one occasion to another, sheded tears like a nursery one baby and yet Tinubu has refused to have a change of mind then I urge him to take a manly step, put up a fight like never before. His children would be happy for him, sane Lagosians would be happy for him and his name will go down in the annals of history for it cool

When a warrior was born in a particular territory, another was born at the other side.
I support you jare, let him leave APC and you will see APC losing Lagos. angry

you can get Tammy.
how does the attitude towards Nigeria by both players collaborate?
one made a nauseating remark...the other talked cool.
probably you need someone to spot the difference for you in their remarks.
sometimes sentiments won't let us reason straight.

Tammy is far gone...if you were wooing both let say as a guy...who will you still go for...
the Tammy that publicly disgraced you or Kelvin who never said such.

please don't let us drag ourselves on this... none of these guys is a world class player and I doubt if they will ever be...they need the super eagles to revive their ailing career.
Tammy that turned down a WC bound Nigeria with an opportunity to walk straight into the World Cup list. Is it now that we are preparing for the AFCON? Please let's forget Tammy for now.

If you want to impress the Franco-German score a couple goals in France or Germany. You won’t only get a call up, you are likely to get some playing time.
You don't even need to score. Did Jamilu Collins score any goal before he got invited? The thing is he just rates the German leagues higher than other leagues in the World. Let us employ an English raised coach now and see whether he will not flood the Super Eagles with all those '' Borough'' boys.

haha.. i'm just attacking the reason you gave. For me, I think we have so much wingers at our disposal now. Let's try to figure out the best four, then we can go from there, else, we'll get really confused with too much personnel.
I think we rather convert some of them to strikers, since we only have average and less than average strikers out there.

I know the potential of these two players. They may be out now due to injury lay offs but trust me they are far far better than the Ujah and Akpala option when fit and back in action. That is my point.

I would even rather Rohr invites Nwakaeme than for him to invite Anthony Ujah.

Abeg bros Ujah and akpala is different from ighalo

Ighalo that they keep giving him chances and regular game time yet he doesn't deliver

How many games did Joseph akpala and Ujah played for the eagles ?

Akpala 9 caps 1 goals which is against France year 2008, Ujah 7 caps no goal ,ask me how many minute did any of them played compared to ighalo ? Those 2 hardly start a match for the eagles.

If Ujah is playing well and he keep on scoring then there is nothing wrong if he is invited, after all ighalo is always invited
Lol at first bolded. Even midfielders no go get that kind of stats. grin grin

On the second bolded, sure ''if he keeps scoring''. But get my point '' He has not done enough to get a recall, lets see his run of form in the next couple of games''.

With the new footballing season already in full swing, players are starting to prove their mettle for their respective European clubs and helping them find victories even in the face of adversity.

Here, we will briefly profile three of the hottest Nigerian players in Europe :

Eberechi Eze (Queen Park Rangers): The skillful 20-year-old attacking midfielder scored his second goal of the league season for Rangers in their Championship win over Bolton last weekend.

While his knack for scoring vital goals in his short career is not in doubt, his work rate in helping stretch defences is another quality which could come in handy for the Super Eagles.

Anthony Ujah (Mainz): Ujah has started off the German Bundesliga season in some form, netting in games versus Augsburg and Stuttgart and is odds-on favorite Rohr's most favoured option.

Having been with the team before now and coupled with his wide range of experience, he could gel well with his mates and provide the needed goals when he is added to the setup.

Josh Maja (Sunderland): With a return of five goals from eight League One games for Sunderland this term, Maja thus, boasts of an effective output for his team, his tender years notwithstanding.

His physicality and ability to take on defenders is a bonus to go with his finishing prowess.
Ujah IMHO has not done enough to deserve a recall. I would rather watch his run of form for a few more games.

Ighalo, Ujah and Akpala. Those 3? They were supposed to be the ones to carry on from where Martins, Yakubu and Ike Uche stopped. Let me also add Emenike and Osaze.

But using the word average is even a hype on their performances. Rohr going for Ujah? I dont even know what to call that.

Rohr Reveals The Name Of One Striker He's Planning To Recall For AFCON Qualifier Vs Libya
Published: September 16, 2018

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is planning to recall in-form Mainz frontman Anthony Ujah for next month's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Libya.

The former Bayern Munich defender has been forced to sit up and take notice after the Mainz number 20 scored in his second consecutive game playing as a substitute on Saturday.

For three years now, Ujah has been in the international wilderness, with his last cap earned in the goalless draw with Tanzania in an AFCON qualifier on September 5, 2015.

His lack of game time at Mainz was the main reason he was not invited to the Nigeria squad for the 2018 World Cup despite a chance meeting with Gernot Rohr at the airport in Frankfurt.

Speaking as a consultant on the Bundesliga on Europe 1, Rohr stated :''We are scouting him, we could remember him for the next games''.

Ujah was a member of the Super Eagles squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and started the 6-1 rout of Tahiti.

Chai memories ooo!! I was so pained that I missed that liberation of a match against Bosnia that was played in the night. I got this new babe then from the nursing dept. in skul who came over to pass the night uninvited, when I wanted to go see the game at the viewing station, girl no gree me by how kwanu she go find me come, I go leave am comot, I said OK, come with me, she still no gree saying we need our private time, honestly my heart was burning that night because I didnt want to disrespect her. My anger Rose higher when she took my phone wey I take they follow the match online, that I have to give her more attention. My friends already dey call me say cartel where u dey, u no comot come watch ball tonight? Chai anger full my heart Dat night no be small, and anytime wey I hear ppl shout e go be me like make I jump go see who scored but...Chai Rita Agu wetin u do me Dat night ehh.

Man early mormor I transfered the aggression to Ghanaians bashing them left right and Centre due to their failure, the infighting that made them send some players away and Boye being caught on the camera kissing money plus Fatua Dauda beating his chest when he saved a header from Ororo only to be sodomised by same Ororo minutes later. That Victory against Bosnia really gave us mouth then, no be small.

Remembering these things make me nostalgic
Ah bros....

The kickoff time for that Nigeria vs Bosnia game was 11pm Nig time.

Odemwingie scored close to half time na so I shout so tay my wife ran into the sitting room that I was disturbing the neighborhood that it was midnight!

I told her say which neighborhood? wey everybody too dey shout for their houses?

My brother, to tell you the fact I stood up for 90mins to watch that match. Recall we drew against Iran and we knew we will not beat Argentina. If we failed to beat Bosnia our winless run at the WC Would have extended extend to 20years how will I face those Charlies who were waiting for us online both on nairaland by then and kickoff to insult Nigeria.

Like 5mins to the end of that game Enyeama made one save that it was as if Nigeria scored. By then the Bosnians were all over our defense. By that time I had gone down on my knees praying and shouting to God to save us. Again my wife came out, this time she had to shut all the windows to prevent neighbors from hearing my voice. No be small thing o.

I celebrated that win more than I did when we won the AFCON in 2013.

I was to make a journey early the next morning and planed on bashing those foul mouthed Ghanaians on nairaland and do same on Kickoff along the way as I travel. Lo and behold, by Day break nairaland had crashed!

For 1 week we were without nairaland and many thread had varnished. I was like why now?

It was even during all those arguments I learnt about the major ethnic groups and languages in Ghana. And which players belonged to which ethnic group and which name belong to which Ethnic group. Some Nigerians will go and form one fake moniker and will bear Ghanaian names like Koffi_kwame. And then be making comments like "we Ghanaians should give up. Nigerians are better than us....bla-bla-bla". And the Ghanaians will be smart enough to tell him he is no Ghanaian that no Ghanaian can say such a thing( And very true). And they will go further to say who bears Koffi Kwame? The Nigerian Doesn't know they are names from different ethnic Groups. Just like someone bearing Efe_Dalung. Lol..

Those guys no know joy at all. They will just digress from football and start insulting somebody's President and economy.

Nigerians called them Gayna while they called us Nigayrians. Looking back at those days I cannot but laugh. Looks childish to me now though.
