TheSuperNerd: Yes. I genuinely think he is. I like both K.Nwakali and Eze but left to me I will pick Eze first right now before K.Nwakali. We need to sort out the CAM role in the absence of Mikel...I have no doubt K.Nwakali will eventually come good as this new generation matures but right now let Eze lead the way with K.Nwakali and Ejaria coming behind... We have options going forward... And I expect a few more AM options to pop up in a few years again...
Ebere Eze is simply another class act I wanna see in the Eagles... RIGHT NOW! Beautiful talent. Tbaba's Mbaise Boy |

TheSuperNerd: I think if Ebere Eze can be called up then I will gladly say Rohr oya allow K.Nwakali to play more amd keep progressing on his own part coz Eze can slot into that CAM role too. Another option is Ovie Ejaria. These three are my first choices for that role in the long run based on star potentials and performances right now. But I will definitely pick E.Eze over K.Nwakali at the moment. K.Nwakali is a class player but I just feel Eze edges more at this point.
And sebi I have mentioned before that Tomori is another prospect. Anyway, no much shouting needed. That lad just keep bagging game time in the 90s and have shown tremendous improvements over time and this season he has been among Lampard's first names of the team sheet at Derby County. The lad is progressing really nicely.
And sadly Oga Chris, I too fear for Stoke. They don't look like a team that can put together a consistent run of wins to enable them finish in the EPL playoff places. I just hope Etebo does enough by the time the season is over to attract an EPL side for the 2019/2020 season. I know it is still early to say but I don't see Stoke making it up unless they can climb their way up just in time to end up in the playoff places by season's end. Simply put, Eze is more ready. |

junnyjake: Esiti did very well against Zambia, Rohr just doesn't fancy him, same with Agbo. Abeg forget this two. When Mikel Agu sef no see shirt. John Ogu and Joel Obi have remained as fringe players. Esiti and Agbo cannot even offer more than what the fringe players in the team can offer. We will only go for players that will add value jare. In that same midfield that has Mikel, Etebo, Ndidi and Onazi as the more regular players. |

Chukwueze should follow suit and get rid of that dirty Bush he has on his head that wanna make me puke How them go notice am for field if him no do him head like that? Way back in the 1990s when the dying of hair by African players first came out, it was more for purpose of attracting scouts. Especially young West African players. I recall the Burkinabe U17 Team to the 2001 U17 WC hosted in Trinidad and Tobago where half of their players died their hairs with different shades of Brown and Red. They finished 3rd anyways. |

TheSuperNerd: I know the index is not limited to last edition. I am just making the point from a most recent performance point of view but I get you. In all, we both know Ghana will always be more feared and respected at U-17 level compared to Senegal, Guinea or Mali. Also, their present side had very good talents including their number 8 who was guilty of missing three pens at the Wafu B zone qualifiers. The lad is talented but his penalty taking is horrible. He's still a kid shaa...
And ofcos Dad, Senegal will be contenders. And I expect them to qualify for the WC naa. Africa will present Four teams. All Senegal gotta do is make it out of the group and into the semis. As a West African team, I expect them to pull through. But that trophy will likely be won by the Manu Boys or the boys from Morocco. I consider Senegal my third choice based on what I saw from the qualifiers.
Teams like Angola, Cameroon, etc are expected to make some improvements between now and May 2019 shaa.. so as usual, time will tell. Hun., Morocco. I will even rate Cameroon higher than them not to talk of Senegal. As a Nigerian I will rate Nigeria first and then Senegal next. Let the remaining 6 teams fight for the remaining 2 spots |

TheSuperNerd: Well, going by that index, Nigeria were also not at the last U-17 Afcon nor even the WC yet we are rated and respected at this level. Same goes for Ghana. They are ahead of Mali and Guinea at this level.
And Guinea neat Mali via penalties. It ended 2-2. Followed that game. Senegal has a nice U-17 side but I insist that they won't beat Ghana and won't have it easy against CIV based on the quality I saw in both zones A and B of the Wafu Zone.
See ehn... Cameroon too will be at the U-17 Afcon going via their easy route thru the central zone. You think Senegal will just have it easy against the camerounian lads? Or is it Morocco from the North?
There is nothing to be much scared about in Senegal. I even dare say they would have possibly failed to make it in Zone B. Zone B was that strong. No, the index is not drawn just from the last edition, though the most recent editions carry more weight and diminishes with earlier editions. I think 3-4 last editions are used for the calculation and this will also be the basis for seeding of teams into groups. On the Mali-Guinea result I may have gotten it mixed up. Sorry about that. But belive it or not Senegal are very strong contenders. Nothing is certain but they look like a team that can make it through to the WC. Having to topple a zone that has both Mali and Guinea is no mean fit. And more so by winning 4-0 in the final! Just watch out for them. Again the only reason I may rate Nigeria higher is our Pedigree at this age level. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 8:07pm On Sep 22, 2018 |
TheSuperNerd: I followed the whole U-17 Qualifiers series from when it began in th North zone, Central and Southern zones. Guinea eliminated Mali in the Semis of Zone A and Mali are defending champs. Senegal beat them all. Beat Guinea bisaau 1-0, Sierra Leone 4-0, Capeverde 6-0 and Guinea 4-0 but I am telling you that they would not beat Ghana or CIV. That zone was weaker than Zone B based on the quality of the teams on display.
Zone A is producing two teams because CAF have made it a new law that it is only the zone of the defending champions that will produce two teams from now on in this new Qualifiers format for the U-17 Afcon. So if we wanna see Nigeria and Ghana at the Next WC in 2021, Nigeria got to win in Tanzania next year. This is how it will be done now in this crazy format.
About Amuneke's eaglets' in defence from 2015, lukman Zakari made a move to Tunisia and from there just faded... The only defensive minded player that is anywhere kinda decent at the Momemt is David Enogela, A DM in that team who paired at the base with Kelechi Nwakali. He is now at Olimpik Donetsk in Ukraine in the Top flight. He only joined them this summer.
I really hope we can get it right in terms of unravelling more genuine defensive pearls. We are allowing our attacking philosophy at the age grades make us not identify enough good defensive prospects and I hope that changes with this next batch of U-17 and U-20 teams. Aigbogun and Manu should do more. O boy you know Mali and Guinea are ahead of Ghana right now on the U17 Ranking index? Do you recall the last time Ghana won the U17 WC? 1995. And may I point out that since the introduction of this New CAF U17 format Ghana has won it only once which waS the inaugural edition of the New format in 1995 when they beat Nigeria 3-1 in the final. In fact the last two times they qualified for the FIFA U17 WC were in 2007 and 2017. Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso and even Gambia have done better than Ghana at this age level in the recent years. Mali in particular are back to back CAF U17 Champions, finishing 2nd and 4th respectively in the last two U17 WC. And Senegal i know have not had it as good as its West Africa neighbours but we know they have ben performing well lately at the U20 (finishing 2nd back to back in 2015 and 2017) and U23 age grade levels. I cant even recall any edition of the CAF U17 that Senegal has taken part it in. But I think this is their break out generation of U17 players. I followed the Zonal qualifiers too. I even saw clips of how Uganda beat Amuneke led Tanzania team 3-1 in the East African semis (Amuneke supervises all Tanzanian teams at all levels) I also followed the Zone A qualifiers. Look at the bolded results of the Senegalese, not conceding a single goal. It simply means that they have a very tight defense. Guinea eliminated Mali 2-1 in the semis and I was expecting a very close game between Senegal and Guinea in the final, but see the white wash and agian without considering any goal. The only reason I will rate the Nigerian Egalets higher than the Senegalese team going into the CAF U17 is because of the rich pedigree we have at this level. But going by results of the Zonal qualifiers we have every reason to be scared of those Senegalese boys. |

TheSuperNerd: Manu teams always have problems in defence. The best his teams gave us has been converted to a DMF.... Wilfred Ndidi.
Amuneke teams have not given us any yet.
Siasia teams gave us Apam and Dele Adeleye but neither had fruitful longevity. The best from a Siasia team remains Taiye Taiwo. Even Olufemi Olubayo was growing into a top RB before death came calling.
Awaziem was in the camps of the Manu and Amuneke teams but he was ineligible for the Amuneke team while he missed out on the Garba team for being too young probably. He was a DMF back then before his conversion.
Fact is truly they haven't given us enough quality at the back so far. We hope future youth/cadet teams will change this Yes Ndidi but his development came as a DM while Awaziem started off as a DM. The current Manu's Eaglets are still having defence issues as they conceded in every game. Just to chip this in, watch out for the Senegalese U17, they have been tipped favorites to win the CAF U17. They beat Cape Verde 6-0 in the semis and Guinea 4-0 in the final to win the WAFU ZONE A. After equally humiliating other teams in their group. And as for the Siasia's products, well they may have made the SE more because they came from the U20s which is a closer age category to the senior team. Do u also also know that none of Eguavoen's 2003 Eaglets made the Siasia' 2005 U20 Defense? All those Amunee's 2015 Eaglets defenders we no hear about them again. I think we have not been doing enough in scouting and developing defenders at the U17 age grade. |

tbaba1234: What about Omeruo that does not even make the team.. This is really a worrisome development. And more worrisome is the fact that our Youth coaches have not doen enough to unearth quality defenders from our Youths system. In recent years we have produced fantastic youth teams but hardly have any of the defenders made any meaningful progress. Musa Mohammed seems to be the Manu raised defender that has been trying to put a showing here and there but he still falls short. Manu, Amuneke and Siasia's teams have always been poor defensively. Could it be that they dont know how to scout defenders or they dont know how to groom defenders or what? Amuneke and Siasia I understand it could be because they are natural forward players but what of Manu? Idowu, Balogun, Ekong, Omeruo and Shehu are all 25+ already. I hope we dont end up being at the mercy of those FB to fill up our defenses in the next few years? |

TheSuperNerd: Uhmmm... Need I remind you it is not everyday you see a player who did what he did as a 16 yeear old back in 2015 and making the step up immediately to the U-23s and still showed solid stuffs?
Well, I am calm actually. I just need to drive in the fact that Osimhen is special. A few early struggles for the lad was mainly injury-based and never down to his talents or abilities. I believe he will eventually come good. It is not the first time I am spotting talent and watching them grow... I usually apply patience in rating a talent. I am not quick to condemn or like others quick to label one as "not making progress" or terming such a "wasteman" like someone who must not be named
Remember the case with Awoniyi? Many almost lost hope in Awo... But he eventually came good last season and now has the chance to build on that. He is among Liverpool's highly rated loanees.
See ehn, this Osimhen's goal today is just the beginning and jolt he needed. I am not saying he has arrived yet or is close to that... No. I am just excited because he has done the first thing needed to begin his rise again... And this is what I celebrate and hope to see more of as time goes on.
It is Osimhen's time. It is the boy's time and he has started his Belgian journey well today. Watch as the lad rises... #YouHeardItHereFirst The U17 is only indicative, not all U17 Prospects make it big in football. I am sure you agree more now. Many thought Iheanacho and Success by now would be blowing Africa and the rest of the World away. The case of these two exceptional U17 players should be an eye opener to this younger generation. Me I have been seeing this same worrisome trend since the 1980s. So no blame me o. I dont think u love Osimhen more than I do, but I just chose to lie low and watch. And I sincerely hope he comes out good and Isaac Success too. I am tired of hearing certain names in the national team already. |

donsiqua: I Need Serious Advice On The Path To Tow
I am currently confused right now on what to do. I need advice.
I got this job that pays 200k+ a month plus a decent accommodation. Iam very good at my job and I have been planning on opening my own. As a matter of fact I have planned to start buying the equipments needed for the company by October. Although if everything goes as planned the company would begin operation by middle of next year. I also have the intention of combining my job and running the company(it's no big deal). However I ran into this sure link of getting a very high paid job abroad. The link is legit and very sure, all I have to do is accept and I will leave ASAP but my problem here is that my parents wokldolet me step out of the country cause I'm their only son. I needed the abroad job as it would boost my income and enable me achieve what I had planned. If I should follow my initial plan the company would run on a small scale. However, with the fund from the away job I could get enough money to go into full business.
Iam thinking of defying them and go ahead with the abroad plan. But one mind is telling me to hold onto my initial plan.
Please what do I do?
Ps I have already been offered the job abroad all I have to do is to accept it. And I don't have much time left.
I need sincere inputs Negative comments are welcomed too No sure links any where in the world. Look before you leap. |

Firstly, a bread in hand they say is worth more than 10 in the bushes.
You have a job of 200k+ and u are also at the verge of establishing your own company here. You want to leave all these because you saw ''a sure link'' to an imaginary job? If it US or UK I am not even sure they can given u visa because of that so called '''sure link''.
My brother there are no sure links to jobs anywhere in the world.
I have heard so many similar stories as the one you just painted. At the and of the day it will turn out to be linked to scammers who would want to defraud you of your fee visa.
