TheSuperNerd: Without Game time..... I am afraid KC won't change Pep's Mind..... And if it is by training pep is convinced coz Pep values Training more than anything, Then I am sure KC has done enough.... coz KC is also a beast in Training. Even Pep have admitted that subtly some time back....
But somehow, despite all these, pep sends him back to the bench
And talking about Opportunity, Pep's treatment of KC didn't start now. He started a few months ago and KC went about 5-6 (maybe more) matches without playing at all and the moment Pep sent him unto the pitch in that FA cup game for just less than 10mins.. What happened?
KC Scored despite having no previous recent game time to fall back on.... Didn't he take his opportunity then? The camera even showed how stunned Pep was with KC's goal... Yet What happens next is baffling!!!! He sends KC back to the bench and now out of the matchday squad altogether....
I am afraid Kelechi "Alien Kid" Iheanacho is not being given a fair chance to prove his worth to Pep.... pep sees only what he wanna see.... it seems.
unless we are in for a surprise this summer..... until then... KC should leave. I wonder how a player with such shooting accuracy be repeatedly left out of match day squads. Take that boy to the emirates and see the difference. |

TheSuperNerd: Exclusive: Dream Team VI Captain Sparks Bidding War; Besiktas, Osmanlispor & Kasimpasa Join Race
https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/16312Azubuike.jpg
Nigeria U23 international Azubuike Okechukwu faces an imminent exit from Yeni Malatyaspor as he is attracting interest from top Turkish Super Lig clubs ahead of the opening of the transfer window.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Beşiktaş J.K, Osmanlıspor and Kasimpasa have made undisclosed bids to sign the central midfielder and Yeni Malatyaspor higher-ups are studying the offers.
20-time Turkish champions Galatasaray S.K have already opened talks with Azubuike’s camp, though they have not yet firmed up their interest by submitting a bid.
Regarded as one of the most promising talents in Africa, the 19-year-old started his career in his homeland with Niger Tornadoes before shifting to Bayelsa United, from where he was snapped up by Yeni Malatyaspor in 2015.
Azubuike Okechukwu has one international cap to his name which came in an African Cup of Nations qualifier versus Egypt a year ago.

Too bad.
seunla84, I remember such similar incidences even as far back as 2005 when i was still job hunting. We were sprayed peppered water during a first bank test at Unilag.
We were whipped with horse whips during ecobank somewhere at VI.
We went for one UBA test somewhere in Yaba and the test could not hold bc those who gate crashed were far more than those invited.
The Only companies that know how to organise aptitude tests are the Oil and Gas companies. Some even serve you tea.
I even eat buffets during my Shell interview.
No pain no gain. The hustle is real.
You will one day remember that event as 'one of those days' just like as i am recounting now. |

My take on Pep And Iheanacho.
Earlier in the season when the debate about whether Iheanacho should leave City or stay, my opinion was let him face the competition and fight for shirt if he is the Super Star we say he is.
When Gabriel Jesus came and Iheanacho was excluded from match day squads i said the next couple of weeks will tell.
Gabriel Jesus got injured and Iheanacho is still being left out of match day squads consistently for a couple of weeks.
IMO mancity does not have plans for Kelechi Iheanacho. Jesus is out and Iheanacho is nt even on the bench so what now happens after the second coming of Jesus? Him fit no make bench for the 'Drills' sef.
I am worried.
Why?
2018 WC is 14months away. I have faith that we will qualify. And if Pep continues dealing with Iheanacho same way then that will spell doom for us. People are mentioning, Kayode, Odey, Adi, Ideye, Anichebe and co. All these are not Super star materials. None of them can pose a 5star performance even on their best day.
Iheanacho even on his off day on the pitch still manages to pose at least a 3 star performance. He is the only striker we have that has the potential to pose a 5star performance on his good day.
So we need a club that can help him and us attain that level befitting his potential. It is not every year we see player of such calibre being born in Nigeria and we allow Pep to continue drilling him as if he is searching for Oil in his head?
I dnt even mind any more if he goes to any middle table team. We need him to be playing as we build towards the world cup next year. We dnt even need him on the bench and he plays 5-10mins. We need him to be playing 90mins.
My verdict: Iheanacho must leave City this summer! |

Humility017: I will prefer play ideye than anichebe.... ideye is one player that will allow whoever he is the AM or SS to have a free run upront and his work rate is very impressive.... perfectly used to the dynamics of Africa football Just only bc of that Iheanacho's run against Zambia? At times some of us here talk as if we just started watching football in 2016. Abeg let us see Fenan Adi and Aaron Samuel instead. We don try for Ideye reach. We have been patient with him since all these yrs. Let him come and go and go and continue chopping his pension in China. |

TheSuperNerd: Loll.... Iheanacho will definitely lead the attack that day naa.... I just said as an option naa.... abi make we no look options again? looolll
And noooo.... I have said it before many pages back that the camerounians struggle against fast paced possessive teams who have highly gifted/super technical players in the final third...
We have the flair and bad-ass skills.. and we must use it against Cameroun.... but we must add some steel too.... so it is not all physical for me... but a mix of both physical and Technical abilities... for we know not from where the moments of brilliance may come from on matchday....
So bringing up Anichebe is just to expand our options.... I would rather pick Ighalo or Adi instead of Anichebe. |

otezu5: Rohr Reveals Plans For China Based Eagles Stars For AFCON & World Cup Qualifiers
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/image-62.jpg
The plans to keep Super Eagles players plying their trade in China fit for Nigeria’s next competitive game against South Africa in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers has been revealed by coach of the team Gernot Rohr.
There has been doubts surrounding the future of the trio of captain John Obi Mikel, Odion Ighalo and Brown Ideye who all moved to China but Rohr was quick in dispelling such thoughts when it cropped up months ago.
Rohr left them out of the Eagles last friendly game against Senegal as they were still settling at their base in China, but the coach has now hinted on how he plans to integrate them into his squad for the South Africa game, which comes up on June 10.
”They (players) need to work hard, we have two and a half weeks to prepare for South Africa after which we will play another friendly game to accommodate some other players, who will be ending their season in June, especially the players playing in China.
”It’s not going to be easy for them to come from China on June 5, there is going to be a lot of difference and a bit difficult, but we have a good programme to prepare everybody for that important South Africa, and the next World Cup qualifier against Cameroon”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com correspondent Osas Mahawi.

otezu5: Exclusive + Picture: Torino Running The Rule On Nigerian Duo Okwara & Nwafor
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-27-576x1024.jpg
Serie A side Torino are presently running the rule on two talented Nigerian teen spotted by scouts of the team during the recently concluded Viareggio Tournament in Italy.
The duo of Ikechukwu Nwafor and Charles Okwara were spotted by scouts of the club while turning out for their Nigerian side Garden City Panthers of Port Hacourt.
Already they have started training with the Primavera side of the Serie A side, that presently has former Super Eagles ace Joel Obi on their books.
They are both offensive midfielders with lots of potentials, especially when it comes to making use of the ball and covering grounds.
Torino will offer the duo professional contracts, if they impressed the handlers of the team during a trial that is suppose to last at least one month.

TheSuperNerd: Anichebe is also an option for me..... for the Cameroon games. One week to that game and he is ruled out again for another 12weeks. Abeg a take God beg una. Make una leave that guy. He is nt even interested any more after what happened to him in Kigali and the NFF abandoned him to his club to take care of him. But guys, we are making one wrong assumption about this Cameroun game. That the only way to beat them is to field physical players. In the defense yes. But in the forwards position we need players who are intelligent, skillful and can read the game well. We need Mikel in that AM position. And Iwobi and Victor Moses are my first choice wingers. If these 3 players switch-on on match day there is no way Iheanacho would not have a good game and Cameroun fit chop up to 3-0 in Uyo. |

TheSuperNerd: Lookman falls into the Group you just described.... I know. But the issue is getting them to train with us or fielding them in a friendly does not still secure them as ours. It has to be full international matches. Looking at our WC qualifying group no easy game. I still believe we may still need to fight till almost the end of our qualifiers. Bc Algeria may beat Zambia home and away and we may drop points against Cameroun and Algeria is back in contention. The only game i would personally be annoyed with Rohr if he does nt field an almost completely new squad is Nigeria vs Seychelles AFCON qualifying match. I.e if we do not put ourselves in a difficult situation before that game. In that Seychelles game, he can even invite Alampasu, Nwokolo and Daniel as the three goalies and any one of them can keep goal. I dnt mind. We'll use that game to cap all those our illusive English born players and let me see which mouth the English FA go get again. Again i say ie if we dnt find ourselves in a difficult situation leading to the Nigeria vs Seychelles game. However, also, we may jst introduce 1 or 2 of them per game. Gradually like that. |

You should have done a little bit of research instead of writing my post off. You think I made it all up? Did they not win games to secure qualification to the Euros and did dey nt prove their top 10 ranking by finishing in top 4 in the Euros? You still have to win matches to climb up the FIFA ranking. goldfish80: All you said is pretty academic. It does not explain Romania ranking 7th by FIFA and Wales rise from 122 to the top ten in just 2 years.
There is a loop hole with the geometry by which FIFA arrives at their monthly ranking. A student from Faroe Island, Jakub, developed a format which could be used to game the system. Romania and Wales used this to their advantage to beat the system. I am not fit for a long debate, so I will leave just leave it like it is. I dnt believe that. Did Romania and Wales not win matches to get to where they are? Wales even reached the last four in the 2016 European championships. I dnt believe there is any loop hole jare. U can believe it if u so wish. |

Finally... a stiff competition for Echiejile... I hope you guys would not say i am in the habit of bursting bubbles. Hahahaha! Dnt blame me o. I have seen a lot in football. My take is we include him under our observation list. Our next match is in june so we have 1month plus to examine him. Some of these youngsters may nt be ready for senior international action especially considering that we play majorly against African oppositions. Look at us complaining abt Iwobi against Senegal. What of Ebuehi? We say he is light weight. If this guy was a forward i would have been more excited. As for that young players camping plan. I hope it works bt i dnt trust this NFF guys. Dem fit say no funds for such. |
