Sanchez no be small pikin 4 this business. Someone who has... Abeg! abeg! Make we find something better talk. Iheanacho has not achieved anything yet as a professional footballer.

tbaba1234: That 2006 team was on a decline... We destroyed the eagles in 2002 by not allowing a transition from the experienced players to younger boys. That onigbinde's team replaced too many key players wholesale. We have not fully recovered. That team was more of a continuation of the 2004 AFCON team. No be all dem Femi Opabunmi, Justice Christopher, Batholomew Ogbeche, Efe Sodje, Mutiu Adepoju, Onigbinde park full team? Nigeria vs England was the last match those ones played for Nigeria. |

That onigbinde's team replaced too many key players wholesale. We have not fully recovered. Not true. The qualifiers were played in 2004-2005. Most of the players were in their best forms. Okocha was destroying defenses at the EPL with Bolton. Kanu had moved to Westbrom from Arsenal. Aiyegbeni was on the ascendency, think he just moved to Everton, Martins was at Inter-Milan, Aghahowa was at Sharktar Donesk, Osaze was with Locomotive Moscow, Obodo was with Peruggia, Babayaro was with New Castle, Utaka was with Rennes, Yobo was with Everton. Ayo Makinwa was playing in Seria A, Ayila was with Dynamo Kyiv. Most of those guys were on the ascendency. Osaze, Utaka, Yakubu,Martins, Yobo, Ayila were our young and hot prospects then. They were almost at the peaks of their careers. |

Be Realistic ooo Lets not be carried carried away by the scintillating forms of Iwobi and Iheanacho. Our team has not really taken shape yet.In the past we have had a very talented crop of Super Eagles that still failed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup. That squad had: Nwankwo Kanu, Austin Okocha, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, John Utaka, Obafemi Martins, Julius Aghahowa, Celestine Babayaro, Ayo Makinwa, Chidi Odiah, Osaze Odemwingie, Joseph Yobo, Obinna Nwaneri, Wilson Oruma, Christian Obodo, Seyi Olofinjana, Yusuf Ayila, Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide among others. Stars studded but we failed to qualify. We have since then not been able to assembly such a team with great quality. (shake my head). |

terzurum5: Iwobi, Iheanacho, Mikel And Musa Make 2016 African Footballer Of The Year Nominees Feelers from the corridors of Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has it that four Nigerians will be among the nominees for the 2016 African Footballer of the year.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Borrusia Dortmund and Gabon is currently the reigning African Player of the year, but he will have to fend off challenge from the Nigerians to retain his award.
Ahmed Musa who made a record transfer to Premier League champions Leicester City is set to be in the list, alongside Chelsea Mikel Obi who captained Nigeria to a bronze medal finish at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Alex Iwobi rise with Arsenal will sure earn him a mention while Kelechi Iheanacho who has been a revelation for Manchester City and Nigeria is also guarantee to be on the list.
The list of nominees for the award will be released in two weeks time by the organisers of the award, which will be handed out next year to the eventual winner. owngoalnigeria.com/2016/09/27/iwobi-iheanacho-mikel-and-musa-make-2016-african-footballer-of-the-year-nominees/ Not seen the full list but I know Riyad Mahrez would be included and i feel he is ahead of the Nigerian players for this award. |

forgiveness: Chai! Sir Icon4s come see one my players again ooo. Hehehe! but I was expecting Kenneth Otigba to be honest.
Anyway, Uche is playing in a better league than Otigba hence the call up. So what point are you trying to prove here now? One wonders whether we go fit hear word here if Raheem, Ajagun and Solanke are invited one day Agbo's inclusion could be attributed to Wilfred Ndidi being included as a back up CB. So Agbo would replace Ndidi as the back up DMF. But sincerely i would have picked Azubuike over Agbo. |

See, i can also list over 100 unknown Nigerian players in Europe. His insistence that they must be invited with immediate effect is what is funny to me. How many Super Eagles teams do we have? Even if we have 10 Super Eagles teams we still will not cap all our talents. Let the Joel Aso"rock" be doing his thing. If we need him we will invite him for screening. |

forgiveness: You mean Iwobi the foreign breed is not one of my favourite player?
You mean Ekong the foreign grown?
Do you you mean Simon Moses?
Are you not the one who claimed English players are below average? But you are now celebrating Iwobi progress when you termed him average (because he is English breed).
I think those are one of my favourite players whom I have been advocating for since last year.
E pain am! Ta! you never for one day advocated for the inclusion of Iwobi, Ekong or Simon. See the list of players you have been clamouring for: Dominic Solanke, Abdul Ajagun, Raheem Lawal,Tiago Ilori, Moses Odubajo, Nurudeen Orelesi, Sadiq Umar, Nura Abdulahi, Olanrewaju Kayode, Juwon Oshaniwa, Rabiu Ibrahim, Kenedy Otigba, Brain Idowu and recently Joel Asorock and Joshua Majekfashek . I think so too. I hope Rohr invites Awaziem to camp to replace Balogun's vacant position. Just to keep training with the team. The thing is just like he also stated in the case of Osimhen, Rohr may not want to invite Awaziem, making him travel all the way from Portugal, only to drop him from match day squad. I don't think he would name a replacement for Leon yet. Remember also that Wilfred Ndidi can comfortably man the CB position. Jamiu Alimi may just make the match day squad. |
