Las-las when we beat Dem they say they are farmers, carpenters and fishermen bla-bla-bla. |

Enyimba needs a draw in the last group game to qualify as the two other opponents in their group played out a 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile Rangers are out ! As Al Masry won 1:0. |

TheSuperNerd: Was about to say Enyimba is not yet through until I saw the Modified. But Dad... Make I ask Biko... Why Enyimba go dey draw for their fortress, Aba? What is happening? Kilonshele? Firstly the visiting team today, Hassania Agadir have not lost a single game at this group stage. They are a team on a very good run of form. Secondly, Enyimba have lost their steam. I don't know what Chairman Anyasi Agu is doing. We need to take Enyimba back up where we belong. |

DrLikita12: And they did it. I hope it will be enough to save them, but it's a good result regardless and a huge morale booster seeing as Pyramids currently top the group.
Pyramids 0-1 Rangers Enyimba 1-1 HUSA And with these results Eyimba are through to the knock out stagees with a game to spare, just behind Hassania Agadir. While Rangers Will have to pray that Al Masry drop points tonight to have a hope of qualifying on the last match day. Modified: Enyimba not through yet. We need to see the result of the other group game later tonight. |

meolaniyi: The Fulanis can not use politics to divide us. We are Yorubas before politics of APC or PDP this is for the interest of the Yorubas and the South. I know very well that Igbos will never go against us. most of the comments abusing Yorubas here using Igbo monikers are well known.
The average Igbo man will be happy that this security outfit stays. the days of division in the south is gone that is why the Fulanis are jittery
We should all understand that the strength of the Fulanis is the division in the south. I used the world Fulanis because majority of the northerners are under their bondage most of them in the north are looking up to the south to rescue them.
I am a Muslim and I believe in Allah the most merciful and his prophet. The radical Islam of Fulanis cannot find its way into Yoruba land God bless you bro. This is one of the best posts I have read on the political section of nairaland in the last 10yrs! The South must Unite against the Northern oppression. |

Kbs468: I don't think Icon4s meant that though but was rather talking with respect to the tactical changes made following the Luiz sending off as the key Man in the defence set up Did u also see how he managed the tactical change when Aubameyang received the red card against Crystal Palace. Most coaches would have pulled off an attacking player and introduced a Midfielder but Arteta pull out Ozil and brought in Martinelli thereby playing 4-2-3 and it almost paid off! Arteta is tactically sound. |

Arteta is truly a very good tactician.
Arsenal should just beef up their squad against next season.
After that Red card Arsene Wenger would have lost 6:0 and Emery would have lost 3 or 4 nil. |

TheSuperNerd: Yeah... But then the battle for the one slot from each group throws up some titanic battles involving some of the groups' top 2. Yeah...but recall the last qualifiers typically had up to 3 top teams per group. I think it is relatively easier this time mostly because unlike last qualifiers where we had 20 teams at this stage, this time we are having 40. Another thing is Nigeria's ranking really helped. Recall the last time we were in pot 3 while Cameroon and Algeria were the top 2 ranked teams. Being a seeded team helped this time for us avoid the top ranked teams. Though I am not ruling out any team in that group but I think all 6 games are winnable. Like I had earlier pointed if we can cruise through our AFCON and WC qualifiers our FIFA ranking will tremendously improve and we may stand a good chance of being placed in a favorable good. Thank God we are not playing CHAN this year , so our ranking for this year and next would be based solely on the Super Eagles performances. |

Danielnino00: Because he is human..
Is it so wrong for an ex international to coach the national team ? Didn't Keshi and Siasia achieve success with the national team when they were in charge? Some of the most successful national teams in the world are being coached by ex internationals.. It is not even an issue of "ex-international" I don't even care whether who is in charge is an ex-international or not. All we need is results. Keshi, before coaching Nigeria took Togo to the 2006 WC and also took Mali to the 2010 AFCON. He had a good national team experience on the continent before being offered the SE job. Siasia had coached the U20 Team in 2005 and U23 in 2008, winning the U20 AFCON and winning Silver medals each at the respective world tournaments. He also coached the U20 Team in 2009. So Siasia was proven at youth level before we attempted to give him the opportunity as the Senior National Team coach What has Yobo done since after retiring from the SE? |

Do people understand the level of responsibility attached to being the coach of a national Team? It goes beyond being a pundit o |

jihday: nobody is saying he shouldn't coach the SE but he needs to prove he can do it, it's wrong for anybody to even suggest his name, on what basis? What has he done? Keshi coached U-20, Togo and Mali's NTs. Siasia handled U-20 and U-23 even Chukwu handled Kenya and used to be assistant to either Bonfree or Westerhof. The NT job isn't to be used as a training ground for anybody. You get thge point. ..in addition Amuneke won the U17 WC and took Tanzania to the AFCON after they couldn't qualify since after 39 yrs |
