Clap for yourself... Thus sokari is better than Ighalo, mikel and uche abi?

Well, Oliseh invited players according to what each player can bring to the table and how each player can suit his game plans for now. I am sure u know why Mikel and Uche are not in the Team. As for Ighalo Oliseh mentioned he is part of his plans.

I feel Iheanacho has not done enough to earn a senior national call up. Sokari has been a member of the Home Based Eagles. He was part of the team that beat Ghana at Uyo stadium launch last year. Sokari plays for the most consistent and competitive club in Nigeria (Enyimba FC).Despite that he mostly comes in as a sub he has scored a total of 8 goals for the 2 seasons he has been with them which is not bad for a player of his age and for a midfielder for that matter. He also won the NPFL young player of the year 2014. Sokari was part of the U23 set up even before he was drafted to the U20s. So Oliseh probably feels in a build up to a game like one against Tanzania Sokari has something to offer and so was always likely to be among the list of young local players.

As for Simon Moses, follow the Belgium league and u'll see how well utilized that kid is. Or better still go and watch his actions on Youtube. His work rate is excellent. Ever since I started following him since late last season he has featured in almost every league game for KAA Gent as a winger and even scored goals. Iheanacho should start palying comepetitive football and let the coaches assess him to know whether or where he can fit into their plans, a preseason showing might not jst be enough.

TheSuperNerd:
Hahahahaha... Finally! ! ! ! !
So that's d problem huh... This is ur grievance with d 'boy wonder'. Too much hype!!!!
You know... I bet Messi received the same kinda hype, even of a bigger type, at 18.
Sir, I get u aiiit. I really do. But truth be told Sir... From the bottom of my left and right ventricles, AND from the deep neuronal connections in my limbic system, hippocampus and frontal cortex, There's absolutely... Most absolutely no hype on d kid, Iheanacho. Greatness just cant be hidden 4 long, Sir. I trust u know what Matthew.5v15 has to say...

As 4 d national team, it's only a matter of time. Oliseh adores Nacho by the way, and is just taking his time to select the players he need one game at a time. So cool it Sir. #smiles

I am not being a prophet of doom but all I have to say is time will tell. I jst pray Iheanacho lives up to his career prospects rating but I have not seen enough to warrant me comparing him with Messi as u jst did. Sure he is a bright prospect but I still maintain that the hype on him is too much. I have seen better players that are 19 and I have memories of World Class players and how dey performed when they were 19yrs olds.

TheSuperNerd:
Hi Sir Icon4s... we're cool aiiit... *smiles*
But here's a few things to clear up.
Okunowo played 4 barca... Yes! How many seasons? 2 at most. What was his impact? Fairly good but nothing spectacular.
Amuneke played abt 1 or 2 season(s) 4 Barca b4 injury stopped his career. His impact? He was d finest left winger in world football at d time b4 a young marc overmars took his place at Barca no thanks to injuries.

It wud hv been great seeing Nacho loaned out... After dat's 'd conventional' thing 4 young players right?

Well, maybe not 4 Nacho. I believe a man makes his own destiny. It's all up to Him and God. Even God wud do nothing in a man's life unless he has dat man's cooperation. That's how powerful Man is.

We may be witnessing another path taken by young players 4m Africa in a quest to make it big in soccer. And one of d vital elements needed in dis path apart 4m 'super talent' is d virtue called Patience. Not a lot of it, just a little of it. Cool it guys coz I believe Nacho's a trail blazer in d making.

And one more thing Sir... You're absolutely right! Nacho isn't in d class of Hazard or sterling at 'dat age.' You're so on point...

HE'S 'Just' IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN... IHEANACHO STANDS ALONE IN DAT CLASS. So thank u Sir and have a lovely day/night.

And yet he cannot break into City's starting 11 and no Super Eagles call up where as Kingsley Sokari and Simon Moses made the list.
Too much hype on that kid.

hmmm.. look at even the filthy environment they call a University environment.

This rubbish must stop.

We know. That's y it is often said that the higher d risk d higher d pay.

There are extra allowances like Hazard allowance to take care of such risks in the Oil and Gas sector. There is also mandatary Periodic medical check ups to detect any ailment early enough so as to commence treatment. Plus, Oil & gas companies run some of d best equipt hospitals in town.

There are also several procautionary measures to prevent workers from some of these toxic & damaging substances. That's where d gospel of Complete PPEs comes in.

Talking abt impotency, na jst to quickly marry after u land d Oil job & within 5-6 yrs born all ur children close chapter.By then impotency would nt b an issue.

I dont know if it's just me but I suspect dat Sir Icon4 dislikes Iheanacho. What the 'heavens' does he mean when he said this, "...better to feature for a relatively small club in belgium than to sit on d bench 4 a top club in England." Why England? If I may ask... Why not la liga, bundesliga or serie a to burtress ur point. It's very clear u had Iheanacho in mind wen u made dat comment. SIR, PLS STOP HATING AND GIVE D BOY A CHANCE. It's true he's yet to make his Epl debut but It's also true He's made d match day bench everytime since wk 1. ManCITY have to build some momentum b4 turning to dia youth so cool it coz Nacho will most definitely get his chance.
Godwin Savior is a good player but dat's all he is... Good NOT GREAT. Talented but not 'Super Talented. Take it or leave it Sir, Oostende is average, though they won 2-1 today(thanks to Akpala and Knowledge).

The Nigeria class of 2013/2015 in cadet/youth football respectively boasts real future jewels in Iheanacho @ Mancity, Yahaya @ Tottenham, Awoniyi @ Liverpool, Success @ Granada(loaned 4m Udinese), Alampasu @ Estoril praia in portuguese super liga, Ndidi @ Krc Genk(top belgian side), Nwakali @ Malaga(mancity loaned), Moses Simon @ Kaa Gent(belgian league champs), Chidera Ezeh @ Fc Porto, etc, etc...

Question: do u see any 'relatively small club'?
Some great talents may start small but will eventually end big. E.g. Lewandoski(lech poznan to Dortmund and 'destroyer of Madrid'), Kanu(nationale, owerri to Ajax and Ucl winner), etc.
While some other great talents start big and end big or even bigger. E.g. Messi(barca all his life... Lived in Ronaldinho's shadows b4 he finally exploded), Xavi, Ibrahimovic(never featured 4 a club dat neva won d league), etc.

So pls y'all... Spare Iheanacho d trouble coz He certainly belongs to d latter category above. All d best to Savior da little bull BUT hundreds of minutes playing 4 Oostende is no way close to the exposure gained playing just 90 mins wit Man city in d top flight... Nacho is leagues above Savior talent-wise, Class-wise, Exposure-wise, Experience-wise and other wise. So drop it! Thanks. *Big Smiles*

Oga TheSuperNerd, I have no reason what so ever to dislike Iheanacho. What I dislike is being in a Club where he would nt have good playing time especially at his young age. I am not saying players should only sign for lower clubs jst because of playing time. There should be a balance. I would be happy if City can just loan this guy out to a club like Sunderland, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and the likes or even to a championship side where he stands a better chance of being part of the action. There he will learn more bc he will be facing strong oppositions from the tougher teams which is quite different from learning from Aguero, Silva, Navas and co on the training pitch. U might want to argue that players like Sterling and Hazard broke into Liverpool and Chelsea starting line up as teenagers but I tell u Kelechi is not yet in that Class.

It is not an issue of being in a big team. Just take a look at Moses and Mikel, wasting away jst because they want to remain in Chelsea. Moses and Mikel can almost easily break into the starting 11 of most of the lower 10 teams in the EPL.

And what prove do u have as per the last bolded? Have you seen Savior in action well enough? Bc Iheanacho is in ManCity? It is not all talented players that are lucky to sign for big Clubs. Eg As talented and as skillfull as Austin Okocha was he never played for a big Club. Meanwhile a player like Gbenga Okunowo played for Barcelona. And I have not seen Savior well enough to conclude whether he is better than Iheanacho or not.

Oliseh released a list of foreign based Super Eagles invitees and Simon Moses that players in Kaa Gent made the list while Iheanacho of Man City did nt make the list. Simon Moses plays first team action while Iheanacho does nt.

This 45 yrs old man still dey play ball?

safarigirl:
These kain clubs sef. Which one be Oostende again? I fear for these boys

That club is sure better than the best club in the NPFL. Besides, playing regular club football in a relatively small club in Belgium is better for his career at this stage than sitting on a bench in a club in the English top league.

He & his likes are still work in progress so we need them to play in clubs that will give them playing time.

Yesterday on nairaland, I saw a post by someone named Quizmillionaire, I clicked on their signature, I landed on their website and had a live chat with a guy named John. I love quiz and trivia so much and here was a website where I can win lots of money answering quiz questions. I had my doubts as I have never come across such a gaming website before, but I decided to give it a try and in the process of playing, I mistakenly choose the 7 questions format instead of the 5 questions format I had intended. It all happened too fast and questions started showing up. The first questions were not so difficult but the final three were tough and I simply guessed right three times! A page came up that said I had just won N 200, 000. For a minute I did not know what to expect. I simply entered my bank account details in the provided field and was restless. To my utter amazement, four hours later I got a credit alert for N 200, 000! I still could not believe what was happening, I logged into my Internet banking platform and there it was! N 200, 000 credit from Aleph Intellectual Entertainment. I got a congratulatory email from them, They said they were a new skill based gaming company and that I was their very first winner. I promised to tell everybody I come across about them for a month, hence this post. Their website is quizmillionaire.com. THEY ARE GENUINE!

We will get out of here u scammer!

Godwin Saviour during his medical.
Nigeria U23 striker Godwin Saviour has passed a routine medical and he is now set to sign a three-year contract with high-flying KV Oostende.
The thorough medical examination was conducted in Brussels on the player’s arrival from Nigeria.
“The boy is very strong, he’s a young bull,” a source told AfricanFootball.com after the player’s successful medical.
Saviour and his agent are now expected to make the hour-long road trip to Oostende on Friday, when he will be presented to the media and the team.
A special dinner is also planned at the KOV president’s house later Friday, AfricanFootball.com further scooped.

Well done and congrats boy. U are going places.

We will miss u at d All African Games.

Arsenal to b in Zenith's group.
Real Madrid to b in Chelsea's group.
Manu to face Barcelona

-my predictions.

So when is he signing a centre forward?

Goke7:
what a defence for corruption, I laugh in spanish anyway seriously, i don't even mind as far as we get results hmmm!

Yes na. When Mourinho was was leaving Inter Milan for Real Madrid he took along his boy-Essien.And when Mourinho returned to Chelsea he carried his boys- Drogba and Eto'o along. Alan Pardew had to initiate d transfer of his former New Castle boy, Cabaye, from PSG to Crystal PPalace. So what Oliseh did is normal as long as those players have d quality

Every coach has that liberty. Just like Arsene Wenger populates Arsenal with French players, Van Gaal brought in his Dutch national team players.
Also Adegboyega Onigbinde did "owambe iporapo" when he took Femi Opabunmi and Mutiu Adepoju to the 2002 World Cup.

Nigeria: Clubs Frustrating My Plans, Siasia Cries Out to NFF

By Duro Ikhazuagbe
Samson Siasia's desire to qualify Nigeria's Under-23 team for the 11th All Africa games scheduled for Congo Brazzaville in September is being frustrated by Premiership clubsides.
Ex-intermational former Super Eagles handler complained officially to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) during the week. Most of the invited players from the domestic league were held back to either play in yesterday's Match Day 24 games of the Glo Premier League or the semi finals of the 2015 Federation Cup.
Siasia therefore wants the NFF to come to his aid by talking to clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League to release their players for preparation for the African Championship that will serve as the last hurdle to qualifying for Congo Brazzaville 2015. He had earlier expressed his frustration at Tuesday evening training session at the FIFA Goal Project when he had only eight of the invited players to work with.
"How can I prepare well for a competition as important as the All Africa Games when clubs in the local scene have refused to release their players for the camping exercise? We have barely two weeks to our first game and up till now I have only 8 players to work with. "Most of the club managers called to appeal that we allow their players play last weekend games, a request I approved, with an appeal to them that they should release the players on Monday. This is Tuesday and I still have not seen the players as most of them have called to say their clubs are holding on to them for mid-week games. This is not fair," complained Siasia on telephone chat with THISDAY. To make matters worse, some of the invited players who arrived camp earlier, had to leave camp to report to the Super Eagles camp to which they have also been invited by Coach Sunday Oliseh. According to Coach Siasia, he had to make this appeal to the NFF who are his employers and the father of all to intervene on the issue because as things stand now, he cannot submit a list of players for the All Africa Games, as some of his players have gone abroad to sign for clubs.
Appealing to the clubs to help him out, the U-23 coach said they should give him all the assistance and cooperation they gave him in the early stages of his preparations for the qualifiers as that is the only way he can make the nation proud. As at Tuesday's training only eight players, Segun Oduduwa, Sincere Seth, Ikechukwu Okorie, Oliseh Ndah, Etebong Elisha, Oladapo Augustine, Mohammed Yusuf and Abiodun Akande trained, while Tonbara Tiongoli, Semiu Laidi and Ndifreke Effiong sat out due to various injury concerns.
Meanwhile, Siasia has invited three more players to beef up the team. The invited players are ‎Stephen Eze (Sunshine Stars), Lawal Shittu (Giwa FC) and Christian Pyagbara (Sharks FC). Coach Siasia said he expects all the invited players to report to camp by today after their mid week games.

...desire to qualify Nigeria for the 11th all African Games?... something is obviously wrong with this report.

from ur statement it means an engineer with 2:1 or first class has an edge over a mathematician with 2:1 or First.. did I decode what you meant correctly ?

thanks for the reply, it was what I really needed.. m having pume in uniport Saturday next week

There are usually more job openings for Engineering positions bt as u rightly pointed out there are numerous engineering graduates hu are to compete for those positions.
I had wanted to study Chemical Engineering bt was offered Geology.Bt at job aptitude tests i competed with mostly engineers. Mathematics graduates work in several sectors: Banking, Telecoms, Oil & Gas,Auditing firms, manufacturing etc. Just do ur self d good of graduating with at least a 2:1.

Success in ur PUME.

Na every year i go dey carry over that course.

My brother no Course is irrelevant.
An industrial mathematics graduate with a 1st class or 2:1 has an edge in d job market over an Engineering graduate with a 2:2.
Several companies recruit any descipline & what dey often consider are grade and age.
Studying mathematics will boost ur numerical skills which will really boost ur scores at job aptitude tests.

So if u are offered Industrial Mathematics make sûre u graduate with at least a 2:1 & dat will boost ur chances of securing a good job.

You see, this is where I feel we have missed it as a people.

In another country, the methods and materials used to build these kind of houses would have been improved, upgraded and refined.

Instead of seeing them as old and backward thatched houses, the architects, engineers and builders would have used the mud/clay methodology used in the past to erect these houses, to construct more durable and functional homes.

I can bet that cost of construction would be far less than the type found in using modern cement blocks.

Instead, this traditional houses are dying out and no one seems to care!

That is what inferiority complex has done to us.
