Humility017: people tire me for this thread nor be small... should 90% of the teams heading for afcon have a player like Awoniyi and Oshimen I am so sure he will make their 23 man list and may even play top 9 for some top countries too.
here some Rohr friends are writing off the team...especially oga icon4s.
a player that could score over 20 goals for a modest Belgian club in a season... give that player to teams like Ghana watch him play.
oshimen is a good finisher...he will surely compliment ighalo...as long he is never short of supplies from the midfield dude will deliver....
emenike prior the 2013 afcon was playing in Russia I think and I am not sure he scored up to 20 goals then. doing well in major tournaments like afcon is a more of bravery Oga don't say what I did not say. I didn't write the entire team off I don't just have confidence in our centre forward options. Same way I felt before the WC. |

komekn: Osimhen has played essentially his first season of first team football. He yet to be proven let's be realistic good potential. But he is not playing for Real Madrid he is playing in the Belguim league and not for the best team.
And people want to compare him with Ighalo.
My preference is for Onuachu more experienced should not be over come by the occasion and gives us more options up front. Bros, some times I forget u are a Nigerian |

wayodude: Why is the attack blunt? Ighalo and Onuachu are not strikers with exceptional abilities. Osimhen though talented but is still young and still much work in progress. I know people may want to blame it on supplies from the midfield and wings. But, even with the quality of our Wingers and midfield, our attack is not something to brag about. |

tbaba1234: The Ukraine team that was already through to the next round?? If Ukraine needed to beat Aigbogun's team, they would have. Ukraine had already qualified and so rested a number of their regulars. If they really needed to beat us to qualify they would have beaten us. 3rd group matches are always like that. Which is why I now have some little hope in the Super Falcons game against France. |

soetanoreoluwa: Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo has resumed full training with the squad as the team continues preparations in Ismailia for the Africa Cup of Nations, AOIfootball.com reports.
The Shanghai Shenhua star forward has been out after sustaining a minor injury in Shenhua’s 1-1 draw against Tianjin Teda in a Chinese Super League encounter and missed the Super Eagles warm-up friendly against Zimbabwe last weekend in Asaba.
The forward had some training sessions with the team in Asaba but was not dressed for the warm-up clash against the Warriors which clearly indicated the coach was still allowing proper recovery. Ighalo had said he would not rush the recovery process in order to forestall a relapse.
The 29-year-old however completed full morning training routines with the whole squad for the first time in the camp at Ismailia after working with his personal physiotherapist and also undergoing some rehabilitation exercises towards recovery.
Ighalo’s return will come as a boost to the team as they vie for honours at the Nations Cup in Egypt. Well, I wish he recovers early enough. Rohr, no excuses this time. |

Answer that question in forgiveness voice. Haha Turning 360 degrees means u are maintaining same direction. Going the opposite direction requires turning 180 degrees. |

BascoVanVeli: Who said he was injured? The coach is doing the right thing. It's not because the doctor says a player is healthy that you rush him back. Look at Durrant ending his career in the NBA because he was rushed back, the coach wants to be sure. This way Ighalo is fresh to go for the afcon proper. Chairman, the fact remains that he is not fully fit for this AFCON which is just a week away. U said we should not rush him back meaning u are very aware that he has been out injured. A player that only resumed training yesterday. And u know how physically tasking the African Game can be. Well I have said my own. |

soetanoreoluwa: Exactly, the medics are just trying to take Precautions for any possible relapse. He's good now. Meaning we are going to the AFCON with an unfit striker in Odion Ighalo. This is totally not acceptable. Simon was dropped from the WC squad because of injury now it is Ighalo's turn and nobody is saying anything. Not as if he is a Mohammed Salah or Sadio Mane. Call me an Ighalo hater if you like but I will always say what is right or wrong. Rohr has just lost my respect with this one. Period! |

do4luv14: BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Sources reaching me is that NACHO is grossly over age, hence his regressing, and eventually dropped from the Afcon square
oya oga ANDREW444 d age cheat catcher
oga CHRISKEL awon capentary crew
and averaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeee bear palour crew
make una come confirm an oo,
cos the sauce dey verrrrryyyy hhhhoooottttt In time past we have all agreed and linked early regression of our players to age cheating. But it now seems our problem is not just age cheating. The 2013 and 2015 were very young crops that we were really looking at to see if that trend of early regression will change but alas it is looking like the same old old story. 6 years after the 2013 boys played the U17 WC only Francis Uzoho, who was an unused substitute, is left in the Super Eagles team. And that one sef na manage because we lack credible options. The 2015 U17 has two, but hope they can maintain their development. Meanwhile there are several previous Eaglets generations that we tagged age cheats that still went further to provide quality players that played long for the national team. I remember my argument with TheSuperNerd like 4-5yrs ago: "Chemical reactions with the same reagents irrespective of the Catalyst will always give u the same product". There was this clamor then and push for many of those Manu/Amuneke boys to be pushed into the Super Eagles. Players that were not tested at senior professional level. Was I being too conservative? Now you be the judge. Moving forward after some of us have seen the career trends of many of those recent U17 stars are we still going to expect likes of Akinwunmi Amoo, Wisdom Ubani and Olusegun to be "World beaters", " New Ronaldo" , or "New Iniesta"? Our problem is not only age cheating but also our football development structure. You now understand why a club will value an average Brazilian, Spaniard or Argentine 17years old more than a 17yrs old Nigerian who just won an U17WC MVP. |

safarigirl: Exactly what I was saying
He was banging in goals under Rohr, suddenly the same coach doesn't have a style that suits the god that can do no wrong.
Kelechi should get a coaching certificate, buy a team, and coach them, so that they will play in a manner that suits him, because at this point, there is no club or team that will play to his strength and even if there were, he wouldn't be good enough for them to consider him Calm down Miss |

jihday: where did you keep this your energy preworld cup when forgiveness was fighting for Kayode's inclusion, using the same logic most people used to tag forgiveness a tribalist I think I can safely call everybody fighting for Iheanacho's inclusion tribalist. the argument for his inclusion no even make sense, see players like Eleke, Awoniyi, Odey and that one-cap player that used to play in Israel but now in Turkey they all had fine seasons but nobody has even said a word about them but our fellow forumites wants their darling iheanacho with 1 epl goal to be involved, una wicked and don't want the best for Nigeria I don't think the like for Iheanacho is tribally rooted. Some of Iheanacho's strong lovers right from time are not Igbos: notefully : TheGoodJoe, Bascovanvelli, Humility, Joebie, Tbaba1234, Joseph1034 among other. So there is no basis for you to want to link the call for Iheanacho to tribalism. And please keep that tribalism talk away. |
