Let me guess, they would kill this poor lizard and use it for pepper soup as well, right? Na wao for una! In naija, every animal, no matter how dirty and unclean, is an edible food O pari |
Very well said, my brother. Most of these women (I prefer to call them Woe-men) look good on the outside until they come in and show you their true colors! Then you can give anything in the world for someone to take them off your hands ![]() O pari iamJ: |
Why? Last time I checked, that's the type of women your average naija man likes The bigger the better, right? O pari dominique: |
Ouch! It seems everybody is picking on forgiveness this week ![]() Oga Forgiveness, abeg, no take my digs serious o .... I was onli tryna defend and protect awa first madam. That's ma job ![]() O pari TheGoodJoe: |
Why not post the stats from the NBS, let's see what it shows? O pari ernieboy: |
Forgiveness put your mouf for shum. No dey tok to da first lady like that now You guys tend to write off our players. What kinda nonsense is that! The Zambians can camp as long as they want, they still can't play above their levels. Even our Olympic team can beat them sef. We would have beaten them soundly in Lusaka if we had taken our chances. Go back and watch the game again....Brown Ideye alone wasted two clear cut chances. And if not for jetlag, they shouldn't have pulled one goal back either. I am not worried about Zambia, I am only worried about our fans making it sound like if we're suddenly playing against Brazil or Germany! Enough is enough! The Zambians are playing mind games .... don't help them to achieve their aim. O pari forgiveness: |
Safari my sister, don't mind them ... some people you can just ignore. One of the biggest problem we have in this forum, like many others online, is that the loudest members are not necessarily the most knowledgeable members. When we discuss speed in football, for instance, some folks would immediately think about the players who can run the fastest. But those of in the know would understand speed in football as the speed of play aka ball movement. Our USA '94 World Cup team is still one of the most athletic football team the world has seen but that wasn't based on their individual athleticism of the players but rather on the rhythm of the team. O pari safarigirl: |
I totally agree with NbyOdai. S/He is the only person who understands what the Sean Murphy person is doing. The other mugus are just spitting bs not knowing that they are being used to accomplish an agenda. Most of these folks like to throw around all those crappy statistics to make them feel better about their sordid lives. Yes, NbyOdai is correct! Why compare Miami with Nigeria? Why not compare it with Berlin, Germany or Perth, Australia? And he also mentioned something very important which the original op would like to conveniently ignore - the cost of healthcare in this country. Hence, he's correct 'unless the pet owner is a multi millionaire, the pet would die' because an average pet owner can't afford the service in Miami either.... especially considering that pets don't have health insurance. I have advised Nigerians times without number, on twitter, to quit washing their dirty linens in public. If you really want to affect change in Nigeria then contact the minister/ministry(ies) responsible directly or you can even contact the Presidency. Posting craps on twitter or Facebook isn't gonna change anything. The racist mugus we have like to throw these statistics around not because they actually care about what's going on in Africa but rather to accomplish a bigger goal - their racist agenda. Like each time they tell you that a Nigerian lives on $3 per day. First, that statistics is false and a total fabrication. Secondly, they throw these numbers around without also juxtaposing it with the average cost of living. The cost of living in the US is much higher than in Nigeria, hence the purchasing power of three dollars in Nigeria isn't comparable to the United States. And I can go on and on .... anyway, next time you see a foreigner trying to tell you how bad you've got it ask yourself what his/her true motives are, before you respond. O pari |
TB, I was just about to make the same point. You gotta consider the competition before we decide how much stock we'd put on the award. As the saying goes, in the land of the blind, a one eyed man becomes king. If you don't have too many quality foreign players playing in the Israeli league then anybody can win it easily (even a mediocre player) but that doesn't make you a super star. O pari tbaba1234: |
Word right out of my mouth! O pari Chinachriss: |
$120 for 4 hours of work, cutting grass? That's about $30 per hour? First of all, that's a BS story. Absolutely not true. For such a job anywhere in the US, you can't make more than the minimum wage - less than $10/hr in most places. But even if we're to take this story as told, let me tell you what you don't know. More than 40% of your salary goes into taxes (Fed tax, state tax, social security tax, medicare tax etc etc.), then you gotta consider all the bills: cable tv, phone, internet, cell phone, gas, electricity, water, rent/mortgage, car note, car registration, etc etc. After paying all those bills bro, by the end of the months, your bank account would be empty....regardless of how much you make. Like I previously stated, problem with living overseas is that this money is accumulated here and then spent here. I wish there's a way I could be working in America while living in Nigeria: now, that's my dream life ![]() O pari O pari obajoey: |
True, but that's only if you make the money overseas and then spend it in Nigeria. But the exchange rate is irrelevant if you make the money overseas and spend it overseas. O pari paiz: |

You may have a point there, bro ![]() I read a book in high school entitled, "More Deadly than the Male". O pari jaksmillioniar: |

Wow! That's all I gotta say - wow! O pari paiz: |
OK. Makes sense sha. And by the way, I don't think we've seen the best of Etebo yet. That boy is baller and a worker! O pari AIG07: |
Where's Ndidi? But I do like your ranking tho. Meanwhile, here's how I would rank them: 1. John Mikel Obi 2. Oghenekaro Etebo 3. Wilfried Ndidi 4. Joel Obi 5. Okechukwu Azubuike 6. Ogenyi Onazi 7. John Ogu 8. Mikel Agu *Alex Iwobi is more of a support striker than your normal CM O pari AIG07: |
John Lambie, about a concussed player who didn't know who he was "Great, tell him he's Pele and get him back on." ![]() O pari |
I am pretty sure (almost 100% sure) that the python would be used for "pepper soup". But what happens to the dog? Is that gonna be used for pepper soup as well ![]() O pari |
GWAM!!! O pari BlackDBagba: |
Why would an 18 year old still be in high school anyway? His mates are entering year 2 in college (sophomore year). O pari |
Yup. EPL no moi moi, but that's one league where all the La Liga benchwarmers and B-team players go to become MVPs: Alexis Sanchez Yaya Toure Pedro Morata etc etc. Talk about delusions of graduer ![]() O pari davibid: |
If that happens then Barca would win the EPL until they are tired of winning ![]() O pari |
Bro., first of all, stats can be deceiving because you gotta take several things into considerations, including but not limited to the following: - the team's style of play - the player's role in the overall scheme of the team - the players team mates and their unique abilities But even if we decide to go with the stats below, I will still prefer Azubuike over Ogu considering that the current Super Eagles team badly needs a playmaker. The only playmaker we have in the current set up is Mikel; hence anytime we sub Mikel our midfield breaks down completely. In that case, we will need Azubuike as our second playmaker. We need somebody who can read the game and break up plays before they develop. Right now, only Mikel and Leon Balogun are capable of doing that in the current set up. And in addition, we need someone who's comfortable with the ball on his feet and can hold up plays in the midfield and draw out the opponents ... right now, only Mikel can play that role effectively, and that's where Azubuike can help. O pari tbaba1234: |
Haha!!! Omo, that was deliberate. ghananese (you gotta spell it with small letters) is the nickname I gave to Ghanaians. *I nickname people ![]() O pari Swanzi: |
This is really sad to hear but let that not surprise you ... it's part of the end time events. O pari |
Not really, but I still can't get over all his exploits in Rio ![]() O pari tbaba1234: |
