I think the result they got against Algeria away got our people all twisted up. But they are forgetting that the current Algerian team is in disarray. Even the Enugu Rangers international can beat them at home.

O pari

Mujtahida:
Couple with the fact that Rohr was appointed barely more than a month before the match and the Super Eagles too touched down and went to play and still defeated Zambia. It was a feat. Today Nigerians are shiitting in their pants saying Zambia ooo, Zambia ooo despite our comparative qualitative advantage over the Zambians while Zambians with their Zesco players are brimming with confidence. It's ironic.

From my readings on the Zambian page I just concluded this is a nation of positive minded people. Thank God it's not fans but the players who will play the match. Moreover the worse that can happen is we lose(God forbid) but that doesn't mean we won't still qualify.

And that's my sentiments, exactly! When folks keep saying that this is not the same Zambian team we beat last year. My response: is this the same Nigerian team that beat them last year?

Our team is definitely stronger. Not only are we fielding a much stronger squad (except for the goalkeeper) but most importantly the coach, Gernot Rohr, understands his team much better than he did last year. I expect a good win on Saturday. But that's not so say that I am not worried.

My Fears as Eagles-Zambia Clash
I will not mince words in saying I am not comfortable with the feeling about Saturday’s game. We all are so relaxed and at ease. I am worried, really worried. It will be tasking on Saturday and we cannot just make an easy win. I can bet on that.
We all got excited after the Cameroun win but hey, football can be funny sometimes. If we are all sincere, we had a below par performance at Yaounde and mother luck sailed us through with a draw. Then look closely at the Uyo encounter, I can say I am not convinced yet. For a while Cameorun had some good play over us.
Saturday will not be easy. The Zambians are red hot….They were quite unlucky at Ndola. This is ganna be more difficult that Cameroun clash. I warned you all. We may not get more than a draw…..
The South Africa game experience lingers…….
Just a little out of the box….Abeg where Efe Sodje and Furo Iyenemi dey sef? We need them to back up our defence o..lol

No, even though I quoted you, I wasn't personalizing it to you. I was just talking about girls in general, especially Naija girls. Once a dude mentions marriage, they would ignore all the red flags and plunge in regardless of what you say to her.

And I should know because quite a few friends of mine have been victimized by such unscrupulous men. And when you try to counsel them during that period, they would regard you as an enemy of progress. But in the end they would come back and acknowledge their naivety.

What about Akpeyi?

Oh, he isn't gonna start anyway. So he doesn't count.

O pari

OMANBALA1:
Weak links....

Ekong with his bad ball control, bad pass and panic. If put under intense pressure by a more technical team Ekong will make costly mistake.

Victor Moses over carries the ball and dribble too much to the extent he will jeopardise the success of the team. Moses need to learn when to release the ball. He ruined what would have been a beautiful goal for Ighalo against Cameroon in Uyo. His dribbles need to be in check and he can be a little selfish. In fact,Victor Moses is not my favourite SUPER EAGLES player,he annoys me half of the time and now he didnt come to camp early....smh

Simon Moses has improved a bit but his final ball needs to be worked on and his crosses must get better. I like his tacking back to help but he waste alot of ball....Again,just like VicMO he (Simon) likes to dribble and half of the time he loses the ball.

Echiejile is a disaster waiting to happen...Dude is our weakest link. bad passes, shaky, out of position and what have you....When I see Echiejile I get depressed.

Mikel Obi,though a smart player but he lost a lot of possession in our match at Uyo. Can also be a little slow but I will put that on his lack of match fitness. But Mikel must do better than against Cameroon.

The only problem I have with Onazi is to not get a red card ,as long as Ndidi is there I have confidence in that midfield.

“Everybody is looking fit, no injuries so I hope that it will be difficult for me to choose eleven starting players because everybody want to play, so it’s a good confidence”, he said after their evening training session.

“Now we are going to continue tomorrow. It will be a close training session I ask you (journalist) to understand because we need to prepare our team at least once alone”, Rohr concluded.

Actually, what they (particularly the late Ernest Okonkwo) used to call him was "Dean of Defence".

I didn't watch him play but my uncles had lots of great things to say about his game. They described him as the best refined Nigerian defender of his generation. Another player they rated very highly was Henry Nwosu.

At any rate, the corruption levels of IBB, Abacha, OBJ, and Jonathan definitely dwarfs that of Buhari.

IBB without a doubt. The man institutionalized corruption and turned Nigeria into the most corrupt country on the planet.

Followed by the maximum ruler, Gen Sani Abacha. 'nuff said

Third should be OBJ - the man who gave away one of the richest part of Nigeria's territory to Cameroun.

Omo, permit me to explain. Safarigirl is a strong gurl with very strong opinions on a vast variety of issues concerning football. I don't think she's rude; however, she has a tendency to aggressively defend her positions. One thing you can't take away from her is that she knows her football. Hence, you just need to understand her and you'll begin to enjoy her inputs. In my opinion, she's one of the most knowledgeable members of this forum.

And the fact that she's easy on the eyes (if you understand what I mean), makes her inputs even more refreshing to read tongue

So if that is the case, why didn't he tell the truth....the whole truth and nothing but the truth, by explaining that it was just a small portion of that was purchased for N6K? Why make it sounds like they purchased the whole RCCG Redemption Campground for N6k? A lie is a lie no matter how you phrase it and no matter who's telling it, OK.

Like I always tell people, there would be TWO surprises in Heaven:
Surprise #1 - Some people you expect to see in Heaven are not going to make it
Surprise #2 - Some of the people you don't expect to see in Heaven are going to be there.

Only God knows whom the true believers are.

I don't think he's lying. He is only highlighting how they started which should be appreciated. This does not imply that the whole space they occupied today cost them merely 6k. It is possible to start small from somewhere and expand with time.

The lessons he is trying to convey is don't live above your means at a time and do not despise your day of little beginning.

Jude Ighalo definitely a joy to watch at Watford two season ago but that was until he lost his rhythm.

Personally, I would still prefer Kelechi to start because his game is well suited to play against the silky and skillful Zambians but it wouldn't bother me if Ighalo is preferred. Either way, Zambia is losing on Saturday.

O pari

do4luv14:
now you know, IGHALO best position and strength of play is always a lone front man, with a SS behinds him,

and that's the position he played under FLORES @watford, with DEENEY behinds him,

You're partially correct. If we're playing a team like Cameroun, then the style might not suit Kelechi but Zambia doesn't play that way. That's why I would prefer to start him ahead of Ighalo.

But don't worry, that ain't gonna happen....Ighalo had a good game against Cameroun and I am pretty sure that Rohr would try to keep faith with him on Saturday.
