Romance › Re: Ladies If You Were To Ask A Guy Out, What Lines Or Moves Would You Make? by Icon79(m): 12:55am On Sep 19, 2017 |
Word of wisdom! Anytime a girl has ever asked me out (and it has happened more than a few times too), it always NEVER ends well I tend to take her love for granted. I mean, I don't necessary mean to do that but it always happens. So I will consign that it isn't the best approach for a babe to make the first move or ask a dude out. You can always drop hints here and there but don't make it too obvious. O pari Evaberry: Ladies take this advise seriously
1. DONT ever ask a guy out
2. Don't ever tell a guy you love/like him.

Politics › Re: Northern Governors Arrive Abia State After IPOB Clash With Military. Photos by Icon79(m): 6:50pm On Sep 18, 2017 |
First of all, I am not an IPOB supporter because I believe that what Nigeria currently needs is a restructuring not a break up. And having said that, I am not going to insult you but permit me to call you a mugu. Listen, let me educate you a little bit. A call for referendum is not a call for war. And referendum is a right not a privilege. Even Buhari asserted that much in favor of Palestine when he addressed the UN sometime ago. So why would it be different for Nigeria? IPOB is not a violent group, OK. They have never threatened anybody's life and/or property. The only thing they are asking for is a right for self determination. O pari Barselonia: Umunnem Igbo Ndi Oma, and fellow Nigerians, bikonu, may the peace of our Lord be upon you all.
Why I am hinting on all these issues is simply because we cannot afford to lose another 2 million of our own (that is the casualties of our brothers and sisters whom we lost in the Biafra war), imagine what those individuals and numbers could have done in Igbo land today? My Uncle did not return from the war.
Please do not be deceived in believing everything and every news you see on social media, propaganda is also an instrument of war.
I am sure most you must have heard this Buffon called Abdulkadir Erkahraman who parades his miserable self as a Turkish Diplomat speaking on behalf of Turkey in support of Biafra, so today the Turkish Embassy released a Statement (find attached) condemning the fool and disassociating him from the Turkish government. Now, if you have been conducting operations as IPOB in the name that the Turkish and Israeli Govt are behind you when it is all a lie, and you get killed by the Nigerian forces, are you not the foolish one? your death is just another waste and statistics, nothing will happen to the Nigerian government and I will tell you why below. Trust but verify, thats the key.
Some of you asked me to give my opinion on why the Nigerian Military was sent to Abia in response to Kanu's IPOB activities. I will give you my honest opinion.
If someone, a civilian for that matter, maintains and parades an organized people (wearing a military uniform), it can be misconstrued to be anything on the negative by the sovereign power of that country vis a vis Nigeria in this case. I highlighted this issue in my former opinion yesterday, you should not expect the government to roll in with police officers and patrol vans; you should reasonably expect army tanks. When you look at this organized IPOB armies, they are frustrated with what they perceived the system has done to them, so if you ever weaponize them, they will respond to that perceived injustice with murderous nihilism. They become non-state actors (Remember that we have rogue nations and people who will be willing today to give them weapons? Yes, believe me) so even when they were not armed, the Army took advantage of their sins to punish them with such force (not fair at all IMHO)
Now let's take it a little further, under International law and Pursuant to the 1949 Geneva Conventions Article 3, your status changes once you start wearing an army uniform, for you become an enemy combatant and will be treated as such: A recognized army (the Nigerian Army, in this case) can use force to neutralize you and your fellow militants. That is exactly what the Nigerian State and Army did. (The law cares less about your emotions so you don't go around breaking it)
In the Nigerian constitution, the offense of Treason is a capital offense which is defined by section 37(1) of the Criminal Code Act as follows;
a. Any person who levies war against the state, in order to intimidate or overawe the president or the governor of a state is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death.
b. Any person conspiring with any person, either within or without Nigeria, to levy war against the state with the intent to cause such leving of war as would be treason if committed by a citizen of Nigeria, is guilty of treason and is liable to punishment of death.
You can clearly see why we advised our brother Nnamdi Kanu to refrain from some utterances or activities that could be misconstrued against him by the government, and anyone who advised a fellow countryman to be wise and careful is not an enemy or efulefu as the crazy thugs will like to call those of us with differing opinion, we just don't want to see our own go down.
Remember that all his internet utterances were more or like dismissed by the Court because if the court had considered it treasonous, Kanu wouldn't have been released at the first place because there is no bail for the crime of treason. |

Agreed. But if he's currently making N50K/Month, I think it's dumb for him to be asking for a minimum salary of N200K/Month. That's over 400% increment! Who knows whether the foundation would've been able to pay him N100k/Month, thereby doubling his salary? O pari NairalandCS: Know your Worth. |

I said it before the beginning of the season, PSG needs a strong coach to control all these egos in the locker room. It's one thing to buy a collection of the best players on the planet but you'll also need a strong willed coach to keep all of them shooting on the same goal.
A strong and experienced coach should make all those calls before the team ever gets into the pitch: #1. The designated penalty taker. And the second option. #2. The designated free kick taker, plus options 1, 2, 3 etc.
And if there's a dispute, the captain should intervene and make the call.

Family › Re: I Just Cut The Cord With My Father by Icon79(m): 2:52pm On Sep 18, 2017 |
A wise man once said: "The words of our elders are the words of wisdom". It's really a sad day to see someone threatening to cut off any communications with his own father simply because the old man strongly recommended that he prioritized worshipping his God. That's definitely NOT a bad suggestion, especially coming from your own father. But, hey, to each his own, you can go ahead and cut all communications with him. However, I will tell you this, if you carry out that threat, you'll regret it one day. Mark my words. O pari Beverly1: Hi fellow Nlanders
I was born into Catholic faith and practice till I was 12 and I enjoyed it. My parent became deeper life member while we were living apart and now a pastor in that church. I re-united with them when I was 12 and since then I've been attending the church with them and still attend Catholic occasionally....I love the preaching from the founder of deeper life as he preaches the bitter truth but I believe most other young pastor see d church "doctrine" as commandment and so must be kept 100%.....the founder of the church addressed this issue several times but NO.
18 years on since we re-united, I'm a graduate, married and living abroad but my father still forcing his believe and doctrine on me. I considered myself spiritual but not so religious. I connect with my God easily but not a 3G church guy.
He made me and my siblings antisocial and introverted simply because he believed we shouldn't be involved in any social activities even sports. I still remember being beaten for playing soccer, he believes we would be influenced badly. Watching TV was a crime especially movies.
Fast forward to yesterday he rang my wife to check on us but the first question he asked was if we attend to church. I told him it's been raining and temperature was really low....then he started lamenting asking if I won't go to work if it wasn't Sunday, complaining about the country where I can't worship God...then to get me more exasperated he asked and insisted I tell him how many time I've been to church lately and how many times I've read d bible....I told him we've been attending but he insisted on a number.
This got me so mad that I stood up for myself under a heavy breathe as I do not want to disrespect him or hangup on him.I told him I do not appreciate being asked questions like a 10 yrs old boy and at my age I should know how to live my life and what's best for me.....he got angry and said goodbye and I guess he was still on d phone but I didn't know...I just hang up.....Now I've block him from reaching me ... planning to change my numbers.....but not any financial support. Only cutting all communication with him but not with my siblings as they mean more to me and I wanna see them through as much as God help me...
Please is this not an over reaction because I loved him as he's a very responsible man who puts the family first and strived to make us who we are. But we do not av a close relationship because of his believe even though he's been forcing it. |

Not sure if you guys are receiving the same broadcast at home as we do here, but these Brit commentators are getting really annoying and predictable with the way they pick on African players especially if you're a Nigerian!
Take Alex Iwobi for instance, if he releases the ball early they would criticize him "He released that ball too early .... he could've hold onto the ball to attract additional defenders, so he could give Welbeck a chance." And when Iwobi holds onto the ball longer, they would go the other way in their criticism "He held onto the ball too long .... he could've released the ball a lot earlier .... he didn't really give Lacazett anywhere to go".
And when Lacazett was subbed for Sanchez, the dumb commentator was like "Why are you removing your goalscorer. I was thinking that Iwobi would be removed." Even when his partner informed him that it was "a like for like substitution", he still went on and on to argue why Iwobi would've been the person subbed!
And they do the same thing to Moses as well ... always looking to see what he didn't do well. They did the same to Mikel as well. The British are the most racist people in the world. I can't even live there sef.
