Arsenal considering buying Kelechi? Are you kidding me? Why would Arsenal wanna buy yet another striker when they already has:
Giroud, Welbeck, Sanchez, Theo Walcott on their payroll.

Granted that Kelechi needs to leave ManCity ASAP, but I don't think Arsenal would be a good place for him. They got too many strikers already. What Arsenal needs are good DMs and CBs. As for Kelechi, I would like to see him join a team like Everton or even Liverpool.

When you try to imagine the future of Nigerian football, two names come to mind first — Kelechi Promise Iheanacho and Alexander Chuka “Alex” Iwobi. Ndidi ’ s Wonder Strike Vs Stoke Nominated For EPL Goal Of The Weekend



Wilfred Ndidi's wonder goal in Leicester City's 2-0 win against Stoke City have been nominated for Premier League Goal of the weekend, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

According to Sky Sports, Ndidi's wonder strike was nominated along with four other goals scored over the weekend.


Ndidi gave Leicester the lead on 25 minutes after controlling with his left foot before letting fly a rocket of a shot from 25 yards for his first ever Premier League goal.


Ndidi's teammate at Leicester, Jamie Vardy's superb goal which sealed the win for the league champions, was also nominated.

Others include Crystal Palace's Wilfred Zaha and Christian Benteke's goals in their 2-1 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Philippe Countinho's solo effort in Liverpool's 3-1 home win against Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Nigeria will play Nigeria on Monday night in Barnet, north London, after its original opponent Burkina Faso failed to secure visas in time.


Eurodata Sport, the company in charge of organizing the match, told Newsweek that the Nigeria squad would stage a game amongst its own players at The Hive, home of English League Two team Barnet FC.


A statement published on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) website Sunday stated seven Burkina Faso players had been refused entry into the United Kingdom, ensuring the country could not field a full team.


“There is no British Embassy in Ouagadougou, and officials of the Federation Burkinabe de Football had been shuttling between Accra and Ouagadougou for visa processing,” the NFF statement explained. “FBF [Burkinabe Football Federation] sources said the embassy in Accra told them last week to proceed to Morocco where the Etalons [Burkina Faso] played the Atlas Lions [Morocco] on Friday and that the visas would be issued there.


“However, the applications were still pending at the British embassy in Morocco as at close of work on Friday, the last working day before match day in London.



“The Burkinabe Football Federation on Friday, March 24 2017 by 7 p.m. U.K. time telephoned the match organizers to say some of their players and officials were unable to secure entry visas into the United Kingdom and therefore would not be able to honor the match.”


The match was meant as a warmup for Nigeria’s qualifying games this summer for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.



Nigeria is in London for a two-match tour. Gernot Rohr’s team drew 1-1 with Senegal at The Hive on Thursday evening, with the goal scored by Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.

It is too early to worry about Cameroon, we have games against South Africa first.. Cameroon is not that much stronger than Senegal and we coped well without our strongest team. The only goal scored was off a goalkeeping error

Actually, Senegal outplayed Cameroun in that match, they were just unlucky (or shall we say goal shy). I think we can get result against Cameroun. We just need to win at home and target a draw against them in Yaoundé (or Douala). However, we'd still be on the driver seat even we win at home and lost in Cameroun (or draw home and away).

The Nigeria Football Federation has dissociated itself from the failure of a plan to have Thursday’s international friendly between the Super Eagles and Teranga Lions of Senegal in London streamed live to interested Nigerians.

NFF’s Director of Media and Communications, Ademola Olajire explained on Friday that the task of having the game put up on livestream, as well as other details like TV production and stadium readiness, was entirely that of the organizers – Eurodata Sport.

“The livestreaming of the match had nothing to do with the NFF. Our clear responsibility was to present a team, by the name Super Eagles of Nigeria, while other tasks were squarely on the plate of the Match Agent. Our Official FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport had an agreement with some firm in Nigeria to livestream the match, through receiving signals from the production team at the stadium, but a technical hitch that arose late in the day conspired to make that impossible.

“Mr. Jairo Pachon himself has explained that the hitch was brought to his notice at about 8pm on Thursday, just as the match was kicking off. There was definitely no attempt by the NFF or its Match Agent to scam anyone.”

On Thursday, Jairo Pachon told thenff.com that efforts were at an advanced stage to upload the full match for people to watch for free.

“We have perfected the plan to upload onto a link and then make it public, where people can go and enjoy the full match. What happened was unfortunate but it was a technical issue that nobody could rectify at the time.

“We have the highest regard for fans of Nigerian football worldwide and will never take them for granted. The company concerned will refund in full the monies paid by people who wanted to watch the match on livestream.”

Both teams played out a 1-1 draw under seven degree Celsius weather at The Hive – home ground of League 2 clubs, Barnet FC and London Bees. 2017 Africa Cup of Nations quarter finalists Senegal went ahead in the 54th minute through Moussa Sow but Kelechi Iheanacho clawed the Eagles back from the penalty spot nine minutes from time.

The Super Eagles will take on the Etalons of Burkina Faso at the same venue and time on Monday, in their second friendly game.
