Arsenal considering buying Kelechi? Are you kidding me? Why would Arsenal wanna buy yet another striker when they already has: Giroud, Welbeck, Sanchez, Theo Walcott on their payroll. Granted that Kelechi needs to leave ManCity ASAP, but I don't think Arsenal would be a good place for him. They got too many strikers already. What Arsenal needs are good DMs and CBs. As for Kelechi, I would like to see him join a team like Everton or even Liverpool. O pari BascoVanVeli: Brand Spark: Kelechi Iheanacho vs Alex Iwobi Kenneth IguodalaApr 03, 2017BRAND SPARK
When you try to imagine the future of Nigerian football, two names come to mind first — Kelechi Promise Iheanacho and Alexander Chuka “Alex” Iwobi. These starlets are without doubt, two of the best upcoming footballers in Europe at the moment and the fact that they both play for two of the biggest clubs in the English Premiership is proof of this fact.
Iheanacho and Iwobi were exceptional for the Super Eagles and their respective clubs last year and it may be a little surprising to see them not get more starts under their belt. Many Super Eagles fans had hoped to see both men go head-to-head in Sunday’s pulsating 2-2 draw but there was very little surprise when Iwobi only came on as a substitute for Danny Welbeck while his pal, Iheanacho was left out of City’s squad at the Emirates. Notwithstanding, the future is definitely bright for these two.
Although Iheanacho and Iwobi have contrasting styles of play, this week’s edition of Brand Spark brings you a comparison between the Super Eagles pair.

LOL. You're definitely a fan....a big one. Don't get me wrong tho, I like the guy. I think he's a great talent, that's why it bothers me that he decided to stick his lot with England because I know that they'll dump him once they find a true English guy who's half as good. Mark my words! O pari TheSuperNerd: He wasn't exactly spectacular at the Euros but he is still in the team.... know why? He is still by far the best England have in the AM and CM position... guess who is his backup in the AM role? another Boy with Nigerian blood, Ross Barkley....
So either ways... England have these two and these two are England's finest....
Confession: Both Dele and Ross are true big losses for us. And I wish them the best.
Dele especially is a special player who also holds the world record for the most nutmegs done in 30seconds....
Also, he scored more goals and made more assists (24goals and 12 assists (I think?) more than even Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in his first 50 EPL games....
He is England's answer to any Midfielder in the world from the other European nations at the moment... imagine him in a super Eagles shirt.... mehn!! with Nacho, Success, Iwobi and Onyekuru or Lookman or Onyedimma or even Ndidi all around him.... kaaiiiiii
Won't that be Explosion??!!!!!!
He is a loss for us but we have to move on.... and focus on the other top young talents from home (like Odey), from our Youth systems like K. Nwakali, Osimhen, Nazifi Yahaya and all (U-17, U-15, U-20), and from Abroad like Onyedimma, Lookman, Ejaria, Tammy, Solanke, Ike Ugbo, Josh Maja, Joel Asoro, etc.... (the foreign borns/breds). |

I think it's written that Nigeria would be in the 2018 World Cup. The way things are unfolding makes me belief so: ....before we played Zambia, they had a coaching crisis ....before we played Algeria, another coaching crisis and a sudden change of the coach Now, we're about to play Cameroun and the same story seems to be developing again! ...This is all music to my ears sha O pari jotey: ]Cameroon's Africa Cup of Nations-winning coach Hugo Broos has threatened to quit over management and funding problems in the national team set-up. Broos, who led the team to the trophy in Gabon in February , said he is "seriously considering whether I should continue or not". He also said his players and staff have to work in "poor conditions" while Cameron Football Federation officials "sit in their chairs doing nothing". "I cannot accept this," he added. Broos made his comments in a news conference after a 2-1 defeat by Guinea in a friendly in Belgium on Tuesday, revealing the extent of the problems he has faced since his appointment in February 2016. Today I am saying that this is the last straw Hugo Broos "One year ago when I started working with Cameroon I met many problems. Despite all this we worked hard and reached a new level. But the working conditions are not professional," he said. "For example, when we had to go to South Africa last year we were forced to wait for more than two hours on a plane because some officials wanted to put more people than necessary on the plane. It is not fair to pay for other people's mistakes. "Also when we went to Nantes the doctor had to pay for some drugs and bandages with his own money for the first two days. He has yet to be refunded. "We travelled without training kit and equipment because it was too expensive to put it on the plane. "At mid-day before the match against Guinea, the players didn't have lunch because the hotel had not been paid. The bad performance against Guinea was a consequence of the poor preparations we had. "No food? Hotel not been paid? This is the national team. We want better conditions. "Today I am saying that this is the last straw." Cameroon's Football Federation (Fecafoot) said on its Twitter page that it would launch an inquiry into what led to the comments from Broos.http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39433851 |

David Alaba was a big miss for the Super Eagles. O pari jotey: Ogu : I wish Alli, Alaba Played For Super Eagles Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu is confident the team will no longer lose players of Nigerian heritage to other national teams, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Some high-profile players with Nigerian blood like Tottenham's Dele Alli (England) and Bayern Munich's David Alaba (Austria) opted for other national teams, a situation Ogu hopes will change soon. "Every weekend, I sit at home and watch Alaba or Dele Alli doing it big for other countries and not ours," Ogu tweeted on Wednesday. "We have the power to not allow such. "I'm happy because we have the power not to repeat losing our players to other nations. All the boys who were in camp always want to learn." There are a number of foreign-born Nigerian players now in the Super Eagles, including Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong and new boys Tyrone Ebuehi and Noah Bazee. Hapoel Be'er Sheva star Ogu, who played for the Eagles in Thursday's friendly against Senegal in London, is pleased to be in the squad with these players and the rest of the squad. "I had a great time in the super Eagles camp in London to be honest," Ogu, who recorded and posted a number of team-bonding videos online, added. "Ten days out with the coaching crew and staff was a great experience. "Then I met all the players and I was super happy at the talents I was in camp with .It is time to give credit to the president Amaju Pinnick. "We have the talents now, we have a president who has big plans for our football, we the coaches who care about our local league as well . O pari TheSuperNerd: NIGERIA TO PLAY NIGERIA IN LONDON AFTER BURKINA FASO RUNS INTO VISA PROBLEMS
Nigeria will play Nigeria on Monday night in Barnet, north London, after its original opponent Burkina Faso failed to secure visas in time.
Eurodata Sport, the company in charge of organizing the match, told Newsweek that the Nigeria squad would stage a game amongst its own players at The Hive, home of English League Two team Barnet FC.
A statement published on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) website Sunday stated seven Burkina Faso players had been refused entry into the United Kingdom, ensuring the country could not field a full team.
“There is no British Embassy in Ouagadougou, and officials of the Federation Burkinabe de Football had been shuttling between Accra and Ouagadougou for visa processing,” the NFF statement explained. “FBF [Burkinabe Football Federation] sources said the embassy in Accra told them last week to proceed to Morocco where the Etalons [Burkina Faso] played the Atlas Lions [Morocco] on Friday and that the visas would be issued there.
“However, the applications were still pending at the British embassy in Morocco as at close of work on Friday, the last working day before match day in London.
“The Burkinabe Football Federation on Friday, March 24 2017 by 7 p.m. U.K. time telephoned the match organizers to say some of their players and officials were unable to secure entry visas into the United Kingdom and therefore would not be able to honor the match.”
The match was meant as a warmup for Nigeria’s qualifying games this summer for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria is in London for a two-match tour. Gernot Rohr’s team drew 1-1 with Senegal at The Hive on Thursday evening, with the goal scored by Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.

NFF’s Director of Media and Communications, Ademola Olajire explained on Friday that the task of having the game put up on livestream, as well as other details like TV production and stadium readiness, was entirely that of the organizers – Eurodata Sport. “The livestreaming of the match had nothing to do with the NFF. Our clear responsibility was to present a team, by the name Super Eagles of Nigeria, while other tasks were squarely on the plate of the Match Agent. Our Official FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport had an agreement with some firm in Nigeria to livestream the match, through receiving signals from the production team at the stadium, but a technical hitch that arose late in the day conspired to make that impossible. MR. ADEMOLA OLAJIRE NEW Ademola Olajire, NFF's Director of Communications “Mr. Jairo Pachon himself has explained that the hitch was brought to his notice at about 8pm on Thursday, just as the match was kicking off. There was definitely no attempt by the NFF or its Match Agent to scam anyone.” On Thursday, Jairo Pachon told thenff.com that efforts were at an advanced stage to upload the full match for people to watch for free. “We have perfected the plan to upload onto a link and then make it public, where people can go and enjoy the full match. What happened was unfortunate but it was a technical issue that nobody could rectify at the time. “We have the highest regard for fans of Nigerian football worldwide and will never take them for granted. The company concerned will refund in full the monies paid by people who wanted to watch the match on livestream.” Both teams played out a 1-1 draw under seven degree Celsius weather at The Hive – home ground of League 2 clubs, Barnet FC and London Bees. 2017 Africa Cup of Nations quarter finalists Senegal went ahead in the 54th minute through Moussa Sow but Kelechi Iheanacho clawed the Eagles back from the penalty spot nine minutes from time. The Super Eagles will take on the Etalons of Burkina Faso at the same venue and time on Monday, in their second friendly game. |
