I totally understand what you're saying regarding Oxlade. He's not a flashy player but be works for the team. He reminds me of a former Super Eagles player - Garba Lawal. However, the point I was trying to make is that if you're looking at potentials, there's much more upside to Iwobi's game compared with Ox. And in spite of the fact the entire Arsenal squad has underachieved this season, the two Alexs' - Iwobi and Sanchez - have played comparatively very well. So why would Wenger decide to suddenly demote Iwobi just because Denny Welbeck is back from injury? This is a man (Wenger) grasping for straws. The team isn't playing well and his first instinct is to pick on the African and make an example out of him! And by the way, he used to pull the same crap with Kanu Nwankwo as well. In those days, Kanu was one of the best players at Arsenal but he always finds himself on the bench while less talented players like Sylvain Wiltord (and even Reyes) would often start. The case of Wiltord starting over Kanu was so unexplainable that we used to call it "The French Connection". But that was during the time of the invincible and Wenger was like a demi god and everybody was too scared say anything negative about him. Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that the African guy always gets criticized whenever things go sour. And I have been there, so I know what I am talking about. I mean, I am speaking from experience here. Back in college, I would always get blamed whenever we lose. I might score two goals but if we lose the coach would ask me why I didn't score three! Sounds bizarre but it's true....because I lived it! O pari komekn: I find this interesting.
I have two views of football the pragmatic results orientated hard work and endeavour approach. Which is essentially the English approach.
And my preferred technical biased and flare approach. Which is the more Continental and indeed African approach. The marriage of athleticism and techniquefor me is the way modern football is progressing.
I have said this before my preference becomes irrelevant in matching players to clubs in England.
Quite some time ago we had a discussion on the player with the higher rating in England. I explained that it was Ox and that Iwobi was some places behind him. And of course that word was brought in to qualify my assertions and dismiss them. That word was BIASED it was stated in the context that I support all things English and dislike all things Nigerian.
That action of demotion is limited vindication, however, the issue may be about attitude. Iwobi has not achieved anything yet and I hear rumours of lack of focus and indiscipline which are not corroborated they are just rumours. However, it may explain the current situation, Iwobi is a definite first team player. Maybe it is designed to get him back on track.
Considering the Ox I personally think his delivery outcome particularly where are goals are concerned is very poor. However, that's not the complete story he drives Arsenal forward and bring real quality and competitive edge to the team. Statiscallly poor but as a team player he injects much energy into the side. If only he could remain injury free.
Nonetheless, Iwobi can still move forward if he can learn his lessons and not believe his own hype. Get focused, be more disciplined and push his career forward. |

It's definitely time for Arsene Wenger to retire. The man has lost his touch. On hand he's begging for Arsenal to move mountains to ensure that they offer an average player like Oxlade Chamberline a new contract; yet he's demoting a potential super start like Alex Iwobi to the B team. How does that makes sense That's why Arsenal will not win another league title with Arsene Wenger in charge. Mark my words! The man has lost his touch. Improved massively ke? Well, that depends on what you're watching. Are you aware that Sterling is the cause the of ManCity's poor defensive form this season? The dude only plays at one end (side) of the pitch. His defensive contribution is near zero thereby putting pressure on Yaya Toure and Ferdinandiho/Fernando. And moreover, his game is very predictable. O pari edi287: Don't know which player you've been watching, but Sterling has been superb this season. He has improved massively from last season. |

Saying that the cars were donated by Ganduje makes it sounds like he purchased the cars with his own money!!

By the way, I hope you watched the way Sterling brilliantly created two goals. Take it from someone who knows. Raheem Sterling would always flatter to deceive, you need to look beyond the flatter to find out that there's nothing more in there. I cried blue murder when ManCity splashed $60m on his transfer fee, but it took Manuel Pellegrini more than half of the EPL season to realized what I had already known about Sterling. And I was shocked to see Pep making the same mistake by trying to build his team around Sterling, while neglecting potential stars like Nolito and Kelechi. In fact, that's when I concluded that Pep is grossly overrated as a coach. I mean, to be fair, I have never rated him that highly even when he was at Barca. I felt that the Barca system along with Messi, Iniesta, and Xavi can make an average coach seem like a world beater! O pari |

Everton Ademola Lookman Tells Gernot Rohr – I Want To Play For England Not Nigeria
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-68.jpg
Nigeria have been dealt a serious blow in their quest to lure Everton rising star Ademola Lookman to switch allegiance to the senior national team of Nigeria.
Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has succeeded in luring players of Nigerian descent born abroad to pledge their future to the Nigerian team but Lookman has turned down his approach.
While Ola Aina and Chuba Akpom have given their words to Rohr about representing Nigeria, Lookman who is also a youth international for England has confirmed his commitment to the Three Lions of England.
Lookman told Dan Ashworth, the FA’s director of elite development, that he wants to play for England despite interest from Nigeria.
He hopes to represent England at the U-21 European Championship, and also has high hopes that he will gate crash coach Gareth Southgate senior side before the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Guardiola already said it will take time for his system to bear fruits. If anyone studies closely, the improvement is tremendous.
Navas played well against Chelsea and Arsenal. Meanwhile, he was not a regular, does that mean he was rendered useless? Delph has not played for a long time but was brilliant against Chelsea, does that mean he was useless.
Maybe some people expect money to buy immediate success, what I expected was not immediate success. As the team keeps understanding the game, we will keep improving. |

My twin moniker, here's another thing we have in common: Great minds think alike And all I can say is 'truer words have never been spoken'. May your days be long..... And may you walk and never stumble..... O pari Icon4s: My take on Pep And Iheanacho.
Earlier in the season when the debate about whether Iheanacho should leave City or stay, my opinion was let him face the competition and fight for shirt if he is the Super Star we say he is.
When Gabriel Jesus came and Iheanacho was excluded from match day squads i said the next couple of weeks will tell.
Gabriel Jesus got injured and Iheanacho is still being left out of match day squads consistently for a couple of weeks.
IMO mancity does not have plans for Kelechi Iheanacho. Jesus is out and Iheanacho is nt even on the bench so what now happens after the second coming of Jesus? Him fit no make bench for the 'Drills' sef.
I am worried.
Why?
2018 WC is 14months away. I have faith that we will qualify. And if Pep continues dealing with Iheanacho same way then that will spell doom for us. People are mentioning, Kayode, Odey, Adi, Ideye, Anichebe and co. All these are not Super star materials. None of them can pose a 5star performance even on their best day.
Iheanacho even on his off day on the pitch still manages to pose at least a 3 star performance. He is the only striker we have that has the potential to pose a 5star performance on his good day.
So we need a club that can help him and us attain that level befitting his potential. It is not every year we see player of such calibre being born in Nigeria and we allow Pep to continue drilling him as if he is searching for Oil in his head?
I dnt even mind any more if he goes to any middle table team. We need him to be playing as we build towards the world cup next year. We dnt even need him on the bench and he plays 5-10mins. We need him to be playing 90mins.
My verdict: Iheanacho must leave City this summer! |

This is the best news I have heard in a long time. I have been praying for him to sign for a top Euro club side and get playing time. To me, Azubuike Okechukwu has the potential to be our best DM for the World Cup. Especially with Mikel having chosen money (China) over competitive football, our prospective midfielders in Russia (if we qualify) are likely to be: Okechukwu/Ndidi (DM) and Etebo/Iwobi (CM/AM). And I would also like to have Emmanuel Daniel get a top club and get playing time as well. We need him in top form as a back up for Carl Ikeme. O pari otezu5: Galatasaray Interested In Signing Nigeria U23 Skipper Okechukwu

Turkish Super Lig powerhouse Galatasaray are interested in signing Nigeria international Azubuike Okechukwu, allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm.
The Istanbul side are believed to have opened talks with the intermediary handling the affairs of the central midfielder, ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
Since returning from the 2016 Olympic Games, Okechukwu has been involved in every single league game for Yeni Malatyaspor, except the clash with Göztepe on December 4, which he missed because of accumulated bookings.
The Nigeria U23 skipper will enter the final twelve months of his contract with Yeni Malatyaspor in July and the second-tier club may decide to cash in on the midfielder.
Club Brugge and Rapid Vienna are monitoring the progress of Azubuike Okechukwu in Turkey.
