That Yaya that you called a benchwarmers can oust any of your midfield player (excluding Iniesta) from their positions. Pedro got into the team because of Willian's mother death... He will soon go back to his best position (bench).

So because Lecester are doing well in UCL does that make them a power house EPL huh huh Wise up bro Champions League is diff compared to EPL (ask Liverpool- years back doing well in UCL but only struggles in the league).
Also look at it dis way, can u say because Chelsea beats Barcelona soooo Chelsea can also beat every team barca can beats huh huh

What has Sanchez and Pedro won since they got to the EPL?

Compare it to what Messi has won since they left.
Do you guys even understand that football is a TEAM sport? You need 10 other guys to win. No one has ever done it by himself, because it isn't a solo sport. Hence, I always laugh when I hear some morons argue that Messi isn't the best because he hasn't won a championship with Argentina. For Argentina to win, the other guys have to step up not just Messi. Sergio Aguero needs to start playing well for Argentina. Angel Di Maria needs to quit getting injury at crucial times for Argentina. And I can go on and on....

And in addition, do you guys even understand how dysfunctional the Argentine FA is? They are worse than Nigeria's NFF - much worse! Nobody can win anything with that FA. Even the best coaches: Mauricio Pochettino, Diego Simeone, etc. all refused to have anything to do with them.

Not all great players can adapt to new teams.
Listen, I live in Washington, DC when Jordan came to play for the Wizards and he himself would tell you that his career started and ended with Chicago Bulls. I used to visit his restaurant all the time and I have heard him made that assertion more than once.

His Wizards career, to him and to everyone who follows Basketball, was a footnote.

Here are what some of the legends of the game had said on that comparison:

Ask a Ronaldo fan y dey think Ronaldo is better, they would start giving trash abt Ronaldo playing in different Leagues.. Which doesn't count at all, for me the only thing Ronaldo has over Messi is the euro he's won with his country. Bt Messi is by far the better player, if the likes of mourinho, Rooney, di Maria, zlatan, lampard, Paul Scholes, Raul, balotteli says Messi is the best I wonder what makes you think ur opinions still count.. The only people who claim Ronaldo is better are his team mates, or friends.. Even mesut oil while playing in Madrid once said he'd like to be like Messi.. Iker Casillas says Messi is the best.. Mario gotze said he would like to be like Ronaldo cos being like Messi is impossible
Bros, I concurred with everything you wrote except the highlighted.

Fact is: Portugal won the Euro INSPITE of Ronaldo and not because of him. And the fact that they won the trophy without Ronaldo speaks volumes. Portugal plays better without Ronaldo, same with Real Madrid. The only thing Ronaldo does in the game is to watch for scoring opportunities. He rarely tracks back to help his team mates defensively. And if he another player scores, he would start throwing fits. I have never seen a more selfish player in my whole life!

Sad to say but it looks like our dearly beloved Pep is a racist. I can't bet my life on it but I have heard that allegation from several of my reliable sources, right from when he was still coaching Barca. There's absolutely no reason why Navas should start ahead of Kelechi....gosh, Kelechi is even better than Nolito sef. So only Pep can tell us why he always leave the young on the bench, because Kelechi is definitely good enough to start for ManCity. And like I had said several times, Kelechi can play with Aguero because his favorite position is actually playing behind the top striker.

I think it's time for him to ask for a transfer.

Lies!

Nkwocha was also part of the Nigerian women Olympics team in Athens in 2004.

It is a bit ridiculous attributing the success of that team to Akide while writing of the contributions of strong women like Okolo Vera, who actually was the one who scored the goal that secured us the 3 points in our 1-0 win over Japan in our first match that saw us through into the quarterfinals.
That match was won by Nigerian good defenders like, precious Dede( GK) , faith Ikidi, Felicia Eze and the Rest.

Akide only scored consolation goals in our 2-1 losses to Sweden and Germany in our 2nd and third group matches.
It's actually silly to judge a player's contribution in a game to the number of goals she scored or didn't score. Only people who don't understand how the game is played would do that. Scoring goals is important but there's more to the game than simply goal scoring. Anybody who watched the Falcons during Mercy Akide's era would know that that team belongs to one player and one player only - Marvelous Mercy Akide! In those days when you play against the Falcons, the other teams specifically plans on how to stop Mercy. If you watch the team play, she's the name on the mouth of every player. They keep calling her: Marvelous Mercy, Marvelous Mercy despite the team having lots of other stars like Captain Omogbami, Nkeiru Okosieme, etc. Mercy carried that team and they all looked up to her. In addition, her game was just on a different level - speed, power, and skills.

Nigeria is yet to produce another player on her level. She was like the Jay Jay Okocha of that Falcon's team.

What of Rooney who flourished as a striker for Alex Ferguson? CR7 last week scored a hat trick for Real Madrid playing as a top striker. We do not need a player tagged Natural striker but a top striker converting most chances created.
Of course, it all depends on the system you wanna. Take Barca for instance, until Luis Suarez, they have never played with the traditional #9 per se. Rather, they used Messi (later Fabregas) in a position they called a false 9. But sometimes you might wanna employ a natural target man, esp if you wanna play in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 formation.

I agree with Komekn on one thing: Nacho is not an out and out striker. He is a support striker. Same with Isaac Success. Same with Ideye. And Victor Moses, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, and Ahmed Musa are all Attacking Midfielders cum Wingers. Hence, the only top striker we have in the current team is Odion Jude Ighalo. That's where Victor Anichebe comes in. We need Victor to come and fight for the top striker position in this Super Eagles team.

Another thing I like about Victor is that he's one player who leaves it all on the field. He reminds me of Daniel Amokachie. The Super Eagles would be better for it, if Victor clicks with Nacho.

Hello,

I am sorry I won't be able to reveal my real name. But every other detail I give are absolutely genuine.

If you were a FUTARIAN from 2007 to 2012 it's possible you know this radical dude typing this. Yes. I was a popular christian on campus because of my activities then.

I had formal Pastoral training from my home church with a certificate. (Don't want to name the church). That was before I got admission into
FUTA. We planted 2 new churches before I gained admission and was able to get the churches members before handing over to more experienced pastors.

Believe it or not, I have over 300 converts that I know of and had a book I wrote the names of my converts so has to pray for them everyday by name.

I am very sure the real number will be in the thousands, because this 300+ converts are the only ones I have their names written.

I stayed in Akindeko Hostel in my first year in Futa. I was one of those who did what we called "morning cry" everyday in the hostel. Usually from 6am in the morning. Preaching that people should repent for the kingdom of God was at hand.
I remember how I usually had clashes with the muslims at the mosque beside Akindeko Hostel.

NOTE: this is a true life story and all I say is nothing but the absolute truth. More of this story is to come.

HardMirror, I haven’t really had the time to go through all your incoherent ranting, but let me briefly try to deconstruct your hubris based on the few portions I have read.

First of all, you are not a born again Christian. Never has and never was. And here I will tell you why you were never a Christian even if you claimed to be one.

Speaking in tongues does NOT make one a Christian. Demons also do speak in tongues, but they are not Christians. Are they? Those of us who have been in deliverance ministry know that it's very common to see demon possessed folks burst out speaking in tongues during deliverance ministrations. Hence, speaking in tongues is not the mark of a born again Christian. Satan can fake tongues.

Performing exorcism (I chose to call it exorcism in this case) does not make one a Christian either. Even in the scripture, the 7 sons of Sceva were performing exorcism, remember? (see Acts 19:11-20). And many white garment churches and many Roman catholic priests do perform exorcism, but I am not sure that most of them are born again Christians if you know what I mean.

Further more, having a spirit of divination (you called it word of knowledge, but I will call it spirit of divination since I am sure that you didn't manifest the real thing) does not make one a Christian. In the Bible the slave girl from Macedonia also had the spirit of divination; so should we call her a Christian too? (see Acts 16:17).

And I can go on and on and on to deconstruct all your claims to justify calling yourself a Christian, but I don’t have the time right now. But here’s the bottom line, I think you were possessed by the religious spirit and was able to masquerade amongst Christians for so long that you started lying even to yourself. You were never born again and have never had the Spirit of God in you. You were only faking Christianity. Unfortunately for you, you can only fake Christianity for so long because, eventually, your sin would find you out (Numbers 32:23).

You were the amongst the people whom the Lord Jesus Christ was referring to when he prophesied:

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. (Matthew 7: 21-23).

Listen, I have news for you. You’re not even an atheist either. I think you’re just a confused young man who stumbled into the ministry without having any personal relationship with God and then got entangled by the religious spirit. You have never been sincere in serving God, that’s why the Grace of God has not reached you yet. I pray and hope that the Lord Jesus Christ may have mercy on your soul eventually and deliver you from this bondage. I said this hoping that you have not committed the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit yet.

Anyway, I will keep praying for you! You will understand the real thing once you have an encounter with the Lord.

Honestly, I don't see anything good in recalling Enyeama. I think we missed our chance to recall him against Algeria in Carl's absence. If we recall him now, does that mean he would be asked to sit on the bench? Don't get me wrong, there's no doubt in my mind that Enyeama is marginally better than Ikeme, but I don't think that it's worth disrupting the team just to recall him.

It's Carl's team now, let's keep it that way. We just need to find a solid back up for him.

Lions to go for broke against Nigeria

https://images.supersport.com/2016/11/cam-sm.jpg

After sputtering to their second straight draw
news from the Indomitable Lions camp is that the Cameroonians are now looking at both games with Nigeria as must wins to get to the 2018 World Cup.

In fact, coach Hugo Broos some say, has been
given an ultimatum by the Cameroon Football
Federation (FECAFOOT) to beat the Super Eagles
of Nigeria or lose his job..Broos himself seems to
indirectly acknowledge this, and has called both
games crucial and decisive and promised to
prepare his team for the challenge. He shared:

Against Zambia the Lions squandered many
chances and were often caught on the back foot
peddling back into their part of the field so Broos must now find a way to balance their attack without committing too many men forward.

When facing Nigeria this balance will be of
uttermost importance as the Eagles showed
against Algeria. The West Africans always
talented, seem under German coach Rohr to have also developed the mental part of their game, and that should be a big worry to all their group opponents.

In the last three outings under Rohr, Nigeria have remained composed while seeking to score and calm after taking the lead. The new look Eagles play unruffled and have yet to trail in any of the aforementioned games and the Lions will seek not so much as to score quickly in Nigeria, but score first.

At home the tactics will change and their attack will start as soon as the anthems end.

It wont be easy but Broos is counting on two
things. He has enough time to prepare and the
Central Africans in football, have always been a
thorn in their neighbours side.

I know they would be ready to come at us with everything they got, but it would be over for them if we can beat them in Nigeria and secure a draw against them in Yaoundé (or wherever they decide to take the match). I wish that Zambia had beaten them in the last game, that would've put them in a very precarious position. And Zambia was hold onto the lead until that Cameroun was given that soft penalty. But all in all, nothing spoil....we're still in much better position than Cameroun.

Phil Neville believes Wenger missed it by picking Ramsey ahead of Iwobi and In truth, Ramsey did not do much in terms of offering Arsenal that bite and balance in attack.

Wenger set his team up defensively with Coquelin and Elneny in midfield and Ramsey out on the left.
For some reasons, Wenger would always start a healthy Ramsey. He just likes the guy. But I was expecting to see him subbed by Iwobi after the first half since Aaron was MIA thru out the first half. Instead he decided to bring in Giroud and move Ramsey back, one can argue that he got it right since Arsenal got an equalizer. However, I believe that bringing in Iwobi for Ramsey would've worked even better because Alex would've brought cohesion and stability in the final 3rd for Arsenal.

Rohr- Enyeama Willing To Discuss Potential
Return To The Super Eagles, I Still Need Him

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/image-38.jpg

According to the coach of the Super Eagles of
Nigeria Gernot Rohr, former goalkepper and
captain of the Nigeria senior national team
Vincent Enyeama is so far giving him positive
signals during discussions about a possible return to the team.

Rohr is keen on having the Lille shot stopper back in the team due to his experience and abilities, even though Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme isn’t doing so bad between the sticks for Nigeria.

The coach avoided a potential goal keeper crisis
before Nigeria’s clash against Algeria in the World Cup 2018 qualifiers when Ikeme pulled out injured few days to the clash.

Daniel Akpeyi who was called in as a late minute replacement was between the sticks for Nigeria in their 3-1 win over Algeria, a sign of the lack of trust he has with the goalkeepers at his disposal.

”It’s been positive so far, we are yet to get to a
point where he will say yes or no. I need him
(Enyeama) in the team. We need his experience
alongside Ikeme, then we can have a young
talented goalkepper as understudy” Rohr told
Owngoalnigeria.com.

”We will meet again in the coming days to talk
further, I can’t put a time frame to when talks will take place but it’s very soon. Hopefully it will be positive”.

I was surprised that we couldn't get Enyeama to play against Algeria. However, we should let him go, if he had actually said that he can only come back if we qualify for the World Cup. We don't need such attitude. And in addition, how could we discard a player who sweated to help us qualify for the world cup just so we can make room for Enyeama? BS upon BS!
