every sane human being who watches and follows football knows that Blatter and FIFA have always favored Messi. Remember when Blatter said Ronaldo only cares abt his hair? Remember when criterias were changed so Messi could win? oga talk true abeg. Ronaldo won n suddenly the ballon d'or doesn't mean anything. you talk abt stats, who has better individual stats than cr7 in d past 10yrs?
When was the criteria changed so that Messi could win? Please don't just make a blanket claim without any evidence. Tell us when the criteria was changed to favor Messi and what that criteria was and how that favored Messi.

And by the way, yes, I did remember when Blatter said that. And that was what Real Madrid and their supporters used to blackmail Blatter into reopening the voting for Balon D'or and even encouraged to change their votes just so that Cristiano can win. Even Blatter himself admitted as much. You can Google it, if you want.

You dey mind them?

And by the way, Messi deserves at least 7 Balon D'ors over the past 10 years. Problem is, since Cristiano came to Real Madrid, they took it as a mission to ensure that Cristiano instead of Messi is going to win it each year. Anywhere you go, you'll see the Real Madrid establishment campaigning for Cristiano to win Balon D'or. I never see Barca do the same for Messi. I think Real views the whole thing as an extension of the Madrid - Barca rivalry.

And by the way, Balon D'or has lost its luster since FIFA separated from them earlier this year. It would be interesting if FIFA comes back to crown Messi the World Footballer of the year later in January grin

OH so the balon dor dosent mean anything anymore beacuse messi didn't win it if you truly believed that it didnt mean anything you wouldn't have been this angry that ronaldo won it.
Actually, I don't a hoot whether Messi wins or doesn't win it. Like I said, I totally wrote off Balon D'or as nothing more than a popularity contest the year Sepp Blatter had to reopen the voting (and even encouraged those who had already voted to change their votes) simply because Real Madrid increased the crescendo of their campaign to have Cristiano Ronaldo win it. That's when the whole thing was turned into a J-O-K-E.

Balon D'or or no Balon D'or, Messi is still the best player to ever play the game. And anybody that knows anything about football knows that.

Christianity EtcRe: Leg Of Akan Weeks, Founder Of Collapsed Reigners Church In Uyo, May Be Amputated by Icon79(m): 8:38pm On Dec 12, 2016
hopilo:
This is a big lie, This Pastor is so insensitive and God will judge everyone, How can this pastor go to gospel city in Abak to conclude the Bishop coronation process while 100 people were still trapped in the rubbles of his collapsed church? The building caved in from the rear giving the people in front some ample time to escape, he and his Bishop guest escaped most unhurt and he still insisted on getting crowned as the Bishop same day in Abak. That is a Crown of blood and a throne of blood. Now the same man that was in government house clinic up to 10PM Saturday night after returning from Abak for his coronation is claiming leg amputation to attract some empathy. God is watching us.
I feel he has some question to answer on that building, we will ensure the government get to the root of this matter.
I don't know this man and God forbid that I would speak ill of a servant of God. However, if everything you wrote up there is accurate then the man of God definitely has questions to answer. And if he actually did insisted on getting crowned the same day in Abak, while dozens of people were either dead or entrapped in his church, then he's heartless. That's all I can say on that one. I can say more but I would bite my tongue since I am not an eye witness.

And by the way, not all these "men of God" are actually serving God. Some of them are agents of satan - wolves in sheep clothing.

Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matthew 7: 22-23 (NIV).

Same here. Or may be they wanna change the date(s) to improve Cristiano's chances. The guy has been in a slump lately while Messi, on the other hand, has been on fire!

Don't laugh....after all, two years ago, Sepp Blatter unilaterally reopened Balon D'or voting long after voting had closed just so as to help Cristiano wins. And he even admitted that! It's a rigged and corrupt system, they are running.

FIFA is corrupt and UEFA is even more corrupt. Do you notice how Real Madrid always get the easiest draws during the knock out stages of the Champions League? While Barca always get the toughest draws? As a matter of fact, last year, I was able to predict Real Madrid opponents until the semi finals!

Who cares? Balon D'or has been so politicized that it doesn't mean anything any more.

If Balon D'or is given to the best player in the world then Messi would've been winning every year since 2006.

Before I believe? Who says I don't believe?? Like I previously, I am big fan of Isaac Success and totally believe in his potential. I actually rated him higher than Kelechi in the U-17 team. However, I was just keeping real. Isaac simply hasn't played enough this season to be included on that list. It's the same thing I said when Yaya Toure was nominated for the African Player of the year. No one doubts Toure's ability but, still, he hasn't played enough games this season to be included on the APOY list.

Wilfred "TheRock" Ndidi... #RaveOfTheMoment
......................................................................
McLeish tips Ndidi to replace Kante

https://images.supersport.com/2016/12/Wilfred-Ndidi-getty-001.jpg

Former Aston Villa and Birmingham manager Alex McLeish has declared that Leicester City target Wilfred Ndidi has the ability to fill the boots of former midfielder N'Golo Kante.

McLeish, who signed Ndidi for his current club
Genk in January 2015, says the Super Eagles
man possesses the qualities required to provide
the steel and composure which Kante previously
did for Claudio Ranieri’s men before he departed
for Chelsea.

Ndidi is expected to become a Leicester City
player when the transfer window opens in
January after the Premier League champions
agreed a £15-million fee with Belgian side Genk
for his services.

McLeish is confident that 19-year-old Ndidi,
described as an indefatigable midfield destroyer,
can plug the gap left by Kante, who moved to Chelsea for £32 million in the summer.

Ndidi's versatility is another plus point for City –
the Nigerian is able to play at centre-back and
right-back, as well as central midfield.

His first appearance at Genk came at left-back
but McLeish reveals that he only had to play him
in such an unconventional position because he
was not exactly spoiled for choice at that
moment.

Ndidi will be joining another Nigerian, Ahmed
Musa, at Leicester if the deal eventually goes
through next month.

This is good news for Nigeria and for Ndidi, but I just don't like some of the stuff I am reading concerning his "versatility". I don't know about Center Back but Ndidi is NOT a top top Right Back. Never has never will. He was piss poor when he was used in that position against Zambia. The boy is a DM, short and simple.

I just don't want LC to try using him as a RB, because that would destroy his confidence. If you wanna get the best out of him, play him as a DM.

Doesn't matter. No one gets rated based on "quality" alone. The name of the game is what have you done for me lately.

The fact remains that Isaac has not done enough this season to merit being on the list. I am not questioning his ability but, for reasons best known to him, the Watford coach didn't want to playing at the start of season. And unfortunately, Isaac got injured just when the coach wants to give him serious playing time.

Why are you participating in the tournament in the first place if you don't think that you'd win?! But even if you didn't know you'd win, well now they have won, just pay the kids their entitlements. Or is Nigeria so broke that they can't afford a few thousand dollars to pay these kids?

Iheanacho, Success, Iwobi Make Top 10 EPL U-21 Stars

 1 Dec 2016
 Headlines, Top Stories

Super Eagles young forwards; Alex Iwobi, Isaac Success and Kelechi Iheanacho were listed in the Whoscored.com's top 10 EPL Under-21 players.

The list was compiled by facts and statistic football site, whoscored.com.

Other exciting Under-21 players who were also listed include: Manchester City's Raheem Sterling, Manchester United's Luke Shaw, Dele Alli of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal's Hector Bellerin.

According to whoscored.com, Iheanacho has scored 11 league goals from just 17 shots on target since making his debut last season, to return a stunning on-target conversion rate of 64.7% in England’s top tier.

Three goals and three assists this season means Iheanacho has been directly involved in a league goal every 47.8 minutes in the EPL this term.

For Iwobi, despite not starting each of the Gunners’ last two league games, no Arsenal player has registered more league assists (three) this season than the 20 year old.

Watford's Isaac Success who has managed just 188 minutes of top-flight action, has shown glimpses of what he is all about in the handful of games he has featured in.

The 20-year-old has made just one league start for the Hornets, that coming in a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough, but netted a crucial equaliser from the bench in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last month.

THE FULL LIST

Isaac Success (Watford)

Alex Iwobi (Arsenal)

Kelechi Iheanacho (Man City)

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerb (Southampton)

Luke Shaw (Manchester United)

Calum Chambers (Middlesbrough)

Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur)

Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

Adama Traore (Middlesbrough)

Listen, as a coach, Sunday Oliseh is clueless. But as a player, Oliseh at his best is world class. Definitely one of the best DMs in the world at that time. In those days, the Super Eagles always struggle each time Oliseh is having an off day. In fact, one reason why we got trashed by Demark in the '98 world cup was because Oliseh was MIA in that game. One of the things we shouldn't do is to believe everything that is written in the press.

First of all Eto is not rude I can personally assure you. Players having a disagreement or expressing an opinion does not necessarily mean insurbordination to the a Manager.

There are managers that simply lack the human management skills and approach to meet each player at his point of need.

There are more arrogant, insensitive and biased managers than there are rude players. In the English game the larger majority of managers are far from educated, and are very parochial in thier thinking.

I disagree with the bolded part, I believe most unbiased people also do.

Argentina cannot possibly get to the final of three major tournaments in three years if the players don't play well. They are only unlucky not to have won any of them.

As regards the Argentine FA, it is of little relevance to this discourse.

I still maintain that Messi may not be as good as he at Barcelona (or may not win trophies like he is doing at Barcelona) if he were to play for another club (especially in the EPL). Until he does that, most people won't agree he's better than Ronaldo.

In my own opinion, I really can't say who's better, I can only say who I prefer or who I'll rather have in my team (as a coach).
LOL. How can you disagree? Those were facts not opinions. You can't argue with facts.

Fact: During the last world cup, Angel Di Maria got injured before the quarter finals and was ruled out of the tournament.
Fact: During the last Copa America, Angel Di Maria got injured again and missed most of the games.
Fact: In Manchester United, Sergio Aguero is a world class player but when it comes to Argentina he's not even good enough to start for the national team. He wasn't starting during the Tarto Martino time and doesn't start with the present coach either.

As concerns to Messi playing for an EPL team to validate his status. That's a silly argument. First of all, anybody that knows anything about soccer know that La Liga is now the best league in the world. Just google the last ten winners (and the finalists) of the UEFA Champions Cup and the Europa Cup, then may be you can understand what I am saying. The best players play in La Liga and the top 3 La Liga teams would win the league anywhere in Europe. Even Jose Mourinho himself said that, if any team comes to La Liga they would be competing for the 3rd place.

As regards to the Argentine FA's dysfunction not being relevant to the discussion, well, I would assume that you've not played any organized sports in your life. You wouldn't have made such an ill informed statement if you had.

Are you saying the league doesn't matter?

or that Argentina don't have good enough players?
What exactly is your point?

Most people are of the opinion that Messi is a great player but the league and team he is makes it easier for him...just like Ronaldo too. The only difference is that Ronaldo has played in other leagues and was still able to receive many accolades, Messi may not be able to replicate such if he played in other leagues. Suarez seems better because he's now playing in Barcelona, he wasn't this outstanding when he was at Liverpool, likewise Bale, Modric, Neymar (from Santos) etc
No, that's not my point at all. Argentina has good players but most of them don't play well for Argentina. I don't know how long you've been following the Argies national team but, if you do, you'd realize that super stars like Sergio Aguero and Angel DiMaria rarely ever play well for the national team. Di Maria, in particular, tends to get injuries during crucial times for Argentina. Hence, Messi cannot do it by himself - nobody can, OK?

Secondly, to perform well as a team, you need structure and organization. The Argies cannot win any major tournament, even if they have 10 Messi's playing for them, until they can fix their dysfunctional FA. As regards to Messi going to play for another team, read my previous post.
SportsRe: Is Cristiano Ronaldo Really Better That Messi?? Have Your Say by Icon79(m): 5:50pm On Dec 01, 2016
