They should cancel ALL reruns and declare the PDP candidate the winner in each case. You only have a rerun when PDP appears to be winning, you never get a rerun in the APC states. A rerun is just a chance for APC to fine tune their rigging machines and go for the kill. Look what happened in, was it Ekiti or Osun state rerun O pari |

Thank you, my dear. Some folks would prefer to get rid of the players who have been training together for weeks; replace them with new set of players who haven't trained/played together and expect them to perform wonders What annoys me the most that even people who ought to know better are also joining this chorus. I mean, player to player, the boys we parade in the current U-23 team are better than anything the Libyans have. Names don't play football! O pari Daninya111: Honestly the boys in the U23 camp are good enough to overturn the 2-0 goals deficit they suffered in the hands of the Libyans.
What do I even know.
We can't afford not to make progress in the qualifiers though. |

Typical Naija brigade approach. The team has a bad result and the first solution is to get rid of the players and replace them with "better players" and then turn them into a team within 2 days!
We think that the easiest way to win a football match is by gathering the best players available. They don't care about team cohesion, playing style, understanding etc.

Show the NUDES or we don't believe you! O pari barbwire2: So I met this girl in school through a female friend, the friend was my neighbor though. So one night she invited her friend over for a nite and after that night the girl in question started asking me out and she made sure that i cut ties with that my neighbor. We started dating afterwards nd wd both broke up from our current relationshipz then. But after a month that was when my wahala started, her phone got spoilt some days to her birthday and i gave her mine to use in order to post pictures and invite friends too because she wanted to celebrate it, little did i know dat she was sending nudes and also wanted to go fetch with a politician in town to raise money for the birthday. After i found out she cried and pleaded for forgiveness nd truth is i myself i cried cause I was devastated, but I still forgave her and even sponsored the birthday myself. After dat three months after i went through her gbwhatsapp and discovered she hid some chats, I was able to decode the password and lo and behold she has been sending nudes to several other men and even traveled on a Sunday to havs unprotected sex with one of them and she was planning on going again, the same Sunday she left my room claiming to go to church. I was shocked in my anus. She cried and begged but I found it hard to forgive her which I eventually did but it took me months to get over it because sometimes i would just chat her up and tell her it's over because I can't harbor the pains anymore, she would plead nd beg and she even involved my friends and my siblings to help her beg. Hmmm. E no easy. I got over that and warned her that the next time she repeats same I would post her nudes online and tell the world both on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter anx and even here on nairaland. But she assured me she had changed. Now my greatest fear was that because she was into pageantry and she currently is the face of culture and tourism for one of these pageantry stuffs she would find it difficult to resist this men that will always ask for sex before any sort of sponsorship. Hmmm. Hmmm. During the ASUU strike we all went home and i was relieved that she would stay clear from these useless men but omo right there at home she still cheated again o. She met her childhood friend and he came to visit her, and whilst they were together in the house alone she threw herself at him and started kissing this dude. And in her chats she was like she couldn't hold herself back anymore, she was soo into him and had to kiss him.. Darn. I was heart broken for the umpteenth time. I called her friend who stays in the same street with her to help me describe the dude and the discription was pathetic. Soo my girlfriend is a LovePeddler and a nympho? I couldn't believe dis. Darn.. I confronted her and all she does is beg, cry, fall sick. Just as usual. Am so done with her cheating ass but she keeps begging. My ex is willing to take me back but this my girlfriend aka olosho is calling and threatening her. See me see case o. Wetin man go do... |

Nah, I won't put him at Neymar, Mbappe, or Mane levels yet. However, I think he's better than the likes of Son and even Raheem Sterling. Raheem Sterling is definitely having a good season, but I have never rated him as a player. I will take Wilfred Zaha over him anytime any day! Sane is extremely talented but, right now, I will still rate Zaha above him. Having said that, if Sane keeps improving, in 2 years time he would be one of the best footballers on the planet. Omo, those folks you mentioned are the EXCEPTIONS not the RULES. An average Nigerian player is not as disciplined (in terms of training and diet) as many of the players on your list. That's a fact! And in addition, most of those guys have quit playing for their national teams. O pari komekn: You should make your proposition in comparison to Danny Alves, Frank Ribery, Arjen Robben, Ronaldo who are all above your proposed retirement age and the are currently players playing at the highest level of football in the world.
I could add Glenn Murray and Jernaine Defoe all currently or former top performers in the EPL.
Just shows how inconsequential devoid of substance your proposition is. Particularly as the alternatives you present may Never ever attain these levels in thier respective careers.

But are you aware that African players (notably Naija players) tend to start their careers much later than their European mates? So using when their careers started to guesstimate might not be an accurate measure because their careers might have started in their mid to late 20s. O pari raindodger13: That's because in the eyes of the world Nigerian players aren't valued these days, so naturally the end up in backwater leagues and constantly on loan. Generally if I want to estimate the age of a player I look at when their professional career started. I can give post evidence but it's difficult for me to post on this forum. I could post the links if thats fine with you. |

OK. So tell me, why do our players start heading into the retirement (and backwater) leagues when they are supposedly 28 - at their peak? Any thoughts O pari raindodger13: I honestly think this age fraud thing everyone keeps talking about is overrated. I totally agree that the national team is not where you develop talent. However, my argument is that we need to start building a new team. It isn't too early to start planning for Qatar 2022. The next world cup is barely 3 years away and I doubt if players like Musa, Onazi, Ighalo, Mikel, Balogun, Ezenwa, Akpeyi, etc are still going to be playing at top levels by that time. O pari OMANBALA1: I didnt go through everything to understand the point you are arguing but that part you highlighted is absolutely true. Super Eagles is not where you develop talent. |

I am not arguing that we start using them for our regular games. My argument is that the meaningless game (dead rubber) against Seychelles would've been a good opportunity to TEST these young guns instead of inviting the same old brigade. Now is the time to start planning for life after the likes of Mikel, Musa, Ighalo, Onazi, etc. Those guys are not getting any younger despite what they may carry on their birth certificates. O pari OMANBALA1: Just because Mikel and few others got invited doesnt make it okay to randomly invite any player with a little flash. Super Easgle should be for tested and trusted legs not for amateurs. Osimhen and Chukwueze are not trusted legs that can face stiff opposition. I will still start Kelechi ahead of Osimhen ,today. |

If you wanna talk about their real age, except for perhaps Mikel, none of those dudes is anything less than 34 years. To me, 34 is the retirement age in football. O pari raindodger13: Bros, to lay it out mathematically for you. The guys that you mentioned have an average age 28 years old. That's prime footballing age. Are u looking for embryos? Lol. |
