When Sanwo Olu flew to Abuja with photos and facts to seek federal help after the explosion in Lagos, they ridiculed and insulted him when in fact he did the right thing by flying to Abuja to personally brief the president and show him the scale of the destruction, the president responded by promising to help and support Lagos state.

When CV-19 Showed up, Sanwo Olu called on the FG for help especially with the level of infection and the scale of their operation in Lagos state, the FG rightfully responded. We can not afford to let the virus overrun Lagos and 20 million people and the rest of Nigeria.

The question is, did Wike sort any justifiable assistance from the FG?

What's his relationship with the FG regarding the needs in his state?

What's the rate of infection and death in his state?

Wike, table and justify your needs instead of playing to the political gallery.

Well, all of a sudden the BH friend and supporter President of Chad lifted his finger to go after BH after BH slaughtered his men.

The man don't care and even look the other way as BH run in and out of his country to wreck havoc in Nigeria.

When we kill and chase them, they freely run into chase and their chadian army and collaborators let them in, they allow BH to smuggle weapons and supplies into Nigeria.

It's even funny how they know exactly where to go to seek revenge, they are BH friends and allies, they know BH and their location, they collect drone intelligence that they don't share from American drone bases in their area.

We decimate BH and destroy their baess everyday, but they restock and resupply weapons and manpower through Chad and Niger.

Good to see Chad reaping what they sow.

He has donated his plant to government. Only asking them to provide funds for raw material to produce for them . The scenario is like telling your countries army that you are available to fight for your country in the time of war. Though you are ready to fight, only a stupid government will ask you to go and buy uniform, guns and bullet with your money if you want to fight for your country. Making yourself available is one thing, being equipped for the battle is another.
1. No need for flawed scenario and baseless analogies, the Nigerian government is responsible for the Nigerian military, our men and women in uniform work for the federal government so it is the duty of the federal government to supply them with uniforms and tools to fight with, but on the other hand, Innoson is a private for-profit business owner that the government is not directly responsible for, it is not the job of the FG to provide tools for him or equip his workshop or to work with.

2. He's free to make himself available, but the government is not obligated to do anything for him just because his name is Innoson, they don't owe him anything. Maybe the government has other plans. I know they are sending a plane to China to bring in supplies including ventilators.

3. What is the meaning of donating his workshop? Did the FG put out a notice that they need a workshop for any reason or purpose?

4. Tell Innoson to do what his mates are doing, donate money or some of his cars and ambulances, helping hand is not limited to ventilators.

Innoson should start his charity from home......see how he can help his own folks in Anambra state. Dangote started his charity from kano....and Gtb started theirs from their Homebase in Lagos.
So, all the patriotic and well-meaning Nigerians and even little kids donating their money, their time, their goods and services and even the one building 600-bed isolation center don't believe in the Nigerian project?

Btw, the folks donating billions all over the place stipulated that the funds must be spent in their respective states? You guys hardly make sense with your tribal rants.

Dangote not only gave money, but he's also building a 600 isolation center out of his own pocket and he's not asking you, innoson, FG or the Kano state government for money to buy cement, get your facts straight.

The fact is, well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians and even car manufacturers or assemblers like Innoson donated cars, ambulances, and money, but we are yet to si 1kobo or 1 single car or ambulance donation by Innoson.

As long as the Chinese companies are unnamed, it's safe to assume it's the Chinese govt doing that. I know it may be hard for you to understand how but just leave it.

Innoson already donated money according to news we heard so I believe that is one good gesture. However, he may have been peeved by the begging jamboree the govt embarked on to a fellow automaker like him which is why he offered his company with some costs to cover for the modification and other expertise that may be needed to make it a reality.
What I still don't understand though is why you prefer begging to this alternative. When I was a kid, my mum would beat the crap out of me if she ever caught me begging for anything. She always ensured that we had all the basics we required and encouraged us to ask whenever we ran out of them. Sometimes she gave us homemade options whenever she could not afford the factory ones like soaps, sweets etc. but never to beg. What did your mother teach you? sad huh

Who cares what rubbish question you asked, it's in the article that the respirators and supplies we are sending a plane to China to get were provided through the courtesy of “a group of Chinese companies working in Nigeria.”, if you want their names, go and ask the minister.

The current FG did more for innocent that previous administrations combined, this is the time for him to pay back to the community and help Nigerians just like other well-meaning Nigerians are doing.

Igbo business ingenuity has outgrown the normal sensitivity of Nigerian political space which breeds mediocrity. If you read in between the lines you I'll know the point that barshir or whatever is making. They never wanted to buy any ventilators but innoson indicted the government by making a declaration that the can produce ventilators, which also implies that Nigerians need ventilators at this time but the govt. is not providing them.

I would have blamed innoson for acting "irresponsibly" by not contacting the government privately. But a promising brand should grow by boosting its corporate image through trust and transparency as done elsewhere. If innoson ever venture into backdoor negotiations like Dangote, the Fulani cabal can easily set him up and achieve their longstanding target of destroying his business.
Outgrown what? grin grin

Mediocrity is when a decades-old business can not come up with ordinary N4 billion to make common respirators?

Mediocrity is begging for money and Innoson's inability to rise up and perform your patriotic duty and or participate in the corporate social responsibility acts by patriotic and well-meaning Nigerians.

Coronavirus: Five-year-old donates N950 savings towards medical supplies

A five-year-old schoolgirl has donated her savings to support the battle against the coronavirus pandemic in Ogun State.

Kemi Ogunleye, a Basic-1 pupil, made the donation of N950 following government’s appeal for support to get medical supplies for coronavirus patients in the state, according to her father Olalekan.

“My daughter said she wants to join the rest of the world to fight the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mr Ogunleye told PREMIUM TIMES on Saturday. “So that they can return to school.”

Mr Ogunleye, a chemical engineer and data analyst based in Abeokuta, said his daughter operates a piggybank account from where she withdrew N1,000 to donate. The amount was reduced to N950 after transactions charges were deducted.

Schools have been shut across Nigeria for more than two weeks amidst the rush to prevent the virus from spreading. Other social and economic activities have also been disrupted.

Firstly, these are not normal times, the need for a expedited solutions outweighs bureaucratic bottlenecks, especially as those solutions don’t threaten the life of users.

Secondly, innoson has produced thousands of cars and have thousands of customers, that’s amazing credibility he’s built for himself. Those cars have served equally as other renowned brands.

Thirdly, there’s no attempt by government to engage him because of political reasons.

Interestingly, the university claiming to build a prototype is a fully funded government university that doesn’t generate revenue. After the prototype, they will need an innoson type of factory to start producing the prototypes, or have to built a new factory, or as we usually do, take the prototype to China, build it there and import with forex. lol. mumu

I have been of the argument that leadership is the problem in Nigeria, but I’m beginning to see that fellowership is even worse.

A country that can’t trust its citizens, but is quick to lick the arses of a white skinned man will never succeed. It becomes even worse when it’s citizens support such stupidity due to emotional reasons and not facts. The government can’t produce, can’t support those who can because they’re not from their extraction.
Lifebank, a health startup that finds and delivers blood to patients has turned its attention to seeking critical medical equipment for Covid-19 treatment and has created a national register to track hospitals with working ventilators and respirators. Hotel booking platform Hotels.ng has partnered with hotels to create isolation centers across Nigeria, an added buffer for the country’s limited quarantine facilities.

For its part, Jumia, the pan-African e-commerce giant, has donated face masks to Nigeria’s health ministry and has replicated the gesture in Kenya, Ivory Coast, Uganda and Morocco. Jumia has also offered its logistics network to distribute health products for local authorities.

Some of the support has come in form of targeted funding too. One year-old genomics research startup 54gene has launched a $500,000 fund to boost local testing capacity for coronavirus. It’s a significant move especially given Nigeria’s alarmingly low number of tests: South Africa has tested 100 times more people than Nigeria. Ventures Platform, a local VC firm, has also partnered with the Lagos science and research agency to find and fund innovative tech-based solutions that tackle coronavirus-related issues.

Dangote to produce 20,000 bpd oil from July – Official

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, will begin production of oil from two assets he snapped up from Royal Dutch Shell Plc in July, adding a new source of income to a fast-expanding business empire.

In an interview with Bloomberg, the group executive director at Dangote Industries Ltd, Devakumar Edwin, said Mr Dangote is working with Chinese and Malaysian contractors and has completed a development plan for the Kalaekule field on its Oil Mining Lease 72 asset.

Work will then move to an undeveloped KI discovery on Block 71, a small shallow water asset in south-eastern Niger River delta.

“We are looking at the first phase of 20,000 barrels a day but our objective is to expand it to 100,000 barrels a day for the two blocks.

Innoson is a Private Business man he can't go into producing Ventilators without a Ready market to buy it , Ventilators in Mass Production is not car you can sell to individuals but Ventilators especially mass Production can only be bought by Government Or very Large hospital who may have only few pics its not a moving market for a Private Individual

So that 4 billion maybe contract to supply Govt 5000 ventilators . Just like Dangote cannot Build Refinery without direct assurance of oil well from the Nigeria Government so Innoson cannot start Mass Production of Ventilators without Assurance that Government will purchase if he dare such risk he will collapse in 2 months
1. Oil is an international commodity, he can but his oil from anywhere at the same prices, he doesn't need any oil from Nigeria to run his refinery.

2. Dangote produces his own oil from the assets he bought from Royal Dutch Shell Plc.

3. Dangote doesn't need any assurance from the FG before investing in anything, it's all about the market you are targeting and the laws of supply and demand.

4. It is not by force for Innoson to make respirators, he's free to continue assembling his cars and selling to the government like he's been doing instead of marketing and selling to the larger consumer market.
