During the governorship primaries that produced him as Governor, Odili begged and intimated all other aspirants to step down for him when it was obvious he was losing. Finally, it was a kind of anointed or coronation thing.

Celestine Omehia went on to win the gubernatorial election which Amaechi inherited from the back door.

In 2003, Amaechi begged and begged PDP to accept him into the party fold and offer him ticket and the person of Wike who brought him back into the state took it upon himself not only to smuggle him into PDP but also to rig him in or are you not aware that Celestine Omehia won the election the second time under APGA.

It was easy for WIKE to chase him out of PDP and seize the party structures because Amaechi is an infant in politics.

I find it easy forgiving someone who'd me a favour in the past whenever the person wrong me. It sort of the person had bought immunity with the earlier favour and I am indebted to accommodate his/her failings no matter how little the favour was then against the enormity of his shortcomings towards me.

On the other hand, if someone wrong me and ask for forgiveness, I quickly forgive because we are all imperfect beings and it makes sense to be receptive. But if I notice the person's weakness to apologize, I open up communication and relax his spirit and that'd be after a while.

I am a strong person so it doesn't take me anything to seek for forgiveness whenever I wrong anyone. I usually beg twice and then my spirit is calm whether you accept or not.
1. Beg fervently on the first attempt.
2. Take a person to beg or do it publicly

...and that's it.

#My Opinion: No human can attain emotional stability so it is almost impracticable to reciprocate love and that's often leave us dejected, unappreciated and heartbroken. So the idea of loving is just a fantasy built by our brain to subconsciously control our actions and inaction.

When you find that one person you share personality with( love is overrated), try build friendship with him. Even as you acknowledge his several infatuated displays, let him understand that genuine friendship matters most to you than all of the lovey dovey showcase. It never last, believe me friendship does.

A lot of people that went into friendship with their partners had a resounding success stories to those that were beclouded with love. The point I am literally trying to make is that there is a thin line between Friendship and Love and you'd skip that in your brilliant piece.
