SH is first of all a business, and every business is geared towards profit making. This could be from reduced expenses, or increase in revenue, all based on shrewd risk-cost/benefit analysis.

With SH's model of bearing the cost of registering and renewing unregistered accepted names (for at least 3 years), we cannot expect them to accept everything we throw at them (spray and pray).

With the above in mind, I believe their assessments MAY be based largely on the following indices.

1.) Perfect name
a) Low risk
b) SH accepts whether registered or not

2) Average name
a) Average risk
b) SH accepts only if registered

3) Poor names
a) High risk
b) SH rejects whether registered or not

Our headache then becomes how to figure out what makes SH see a name as perfect, average, or poor. Those guys have dynamic standard. I tire. Lol.

You're the B-O-S-S! Concise and to the point. Another thing I noticed is that they tilt towards certain keywords or niche at any particular point in time. Sometimes it could be keywords like rare, swipe, swift, etc.

You have a higher chances of acceptance if you choose to register the name or you take the dual option of them or you registering it.

There are certain names that might be a fit for their marketplace but they are not willing to stake their funds, so you stake your funds and list it.

Yes, you're on point and I know it. Over the years I've been domaining, I've collated factors to consider before I can put my fingers on it to register or buy. These factors are industry standard from domain name experts.

So, for SH unknown parameters are rather mystery to me because someone's name was once rejected on their platform and the same domain name got sold on another platform at a reasonable period of time. Well, they have the knife and the yam, they should cut to their size!

I'm doing well with SH anyway except that one needs a lion's heart to remain consistent!

No, SH likes you because they want to make money from your creativity. But they have criteria for approval names which is proprietary to them. It's like "marking scheme" of a teacher or lecturer. You don't know what it is until your name is approved.

Imagine someone submitted unregistered name and it was rejected. With confidence in the name, the same person went ahead to register it by himself and resubmitted to SH and it was approved and listed within 2 days. The question now is, "On what ground was it rejected the first time?"

That would suffice but you've to juxtapose the cost of litigation with the expected debt to be paid. Going through the police to recover your debt is no go area. They will take your money and give you transport fare from it to go home every time the debtor pays.

Hello bro.. I need advice from You, Tranxo and everyone who understand how the banking sector in Nigeria works as it pertains to freezing someone's bank account.

I have never had any issue of police or court all my life because I mind my business but I am about to tow that line to at least teach someone a lesson.

It is about funds that I lend someone that I thought is a friend for his child's need because he desperately needed it. He was all over my social media accounts looking for me.

Now, he has decided that he will not give me back that money, He said so. I will like to go legal to have his ALL HIS bank account frozen, get him to at the police station. Is it possible to have his bank account frozen?

Great pal, if there is no formal and documented acknowledgement of the money you borrowed your friend, it will be difficult to enforce payment legally. First, the bank cannot freeze his account except the court order them to do so. But if the soft loan was given on "gentlemen agreement" level, it may be near impossible to get it back based on ensuing character of your so-called friend.

And my advise to you is that you should not go beyond legal, moral and ethical boundaries to enforce your right to collect the money. If anything goes awry, the law will not recognize/sympathize with you. As it is, your friend deceitfully borrowed the money with the intention of not paying back. Personally, I believe he who does not have money should have kind words.

Verdict: Let it go as givers never lack. Pray for him too because he may be under a spell which may ultimately spell his doom.
