AroFx:
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNM

Someone just used my moniker to scam on another thread which involved three people: The victim, The escrow(the one that used my moniker) and the buyer. They did the transaction via WhatsApp and when the victim asked what the escrow moniker was, he said AROFX(which is my moniker). The victim went ahead without doing any verification here on nairaland and now he was scammed. I have been accused wrongly and i hope my MONIKER is cleared of this very soon because it's traumatizing.

.....I AM DEBUNKING THIS PUBLICLY....I AM NOT AN EXCHANGER!!! I AM NOT AN EXCHANGER!!! I AM NOT AN EXCHANGER!!! I DONT OFFER ESCROW SERVICE!!! I DONT OFFER ESCROW SERVICE!!! I DONT OFFER ESCROW SERVICE!!!

IF ANYONE SHOULD CONTACT YOU WITH MY MONIKER. PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!

PLEASE KINDLY TAKE NOTE!!!

THANKS TO ALL.

Sorry about that. It's unfortunate but you'll be cleared. However, I suggest that you change your moniker. I want to believe the undesirable element capitalized on the FX in it to perpetrate the fraud.

Buy all the combinations. Any of it that sells is the best. Goodluck.

Gbam!!! This is the best answer if you're a capitalist domainer. Get the 3 to 5 variants of the domain name, market the best in the pack and offer the others at cheaper price to the same buyer. Make him/her to understand that you've secured a monopolistic market and search engine domination for him to thrive.

You make more profit. Shekina!

Hello Flippers,

I have a domain I plan to reg. that expires tomorrow but just discover now that a word in the domain is trademarked. However, I feel like taking the risk, just dont know what to xpect. Would appreciate one or two inputs from tenured domainers b4 I go ahead.

I will also like to ask. It me or its normal for domains pending delete to be offline??

Research the trademark owners to verify if they will be potential threat before you dive in with both feet. Some spit fire and brimstone if you use their trademark while some don't care.

Yes, awesome reply from awesomeduru.

When I dropped it to the end user, I could imagine him nodding his head in acceptance.

He said "ok, I will take it." Some minutes later, Laszlo congratulatory message followed.

Frankly speaking, when I read AwesomeDuru's reply template, I knew it will seal the deal as a freelance writer cum copywriter myself. It was a creative thinking and write up that anybody couldn't have faulted. This is why domain sales letters and follow up messages should be slightly different for every domain and/or potential buyer's response. Every potential buyer's reply should always influence our wording after quickly carrying out due diligence on him or her with the reply email ID information to evaluate how big he/his company is on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

Is it possible to have AdSense and affiliates on same website? What type of website can you advice somebody that can design website/video editing/a basic knowledge of pixel art ?

adsense and affiliate links are possible. don't bother yourself with web designing. make use of self hosted wordpress for free.

Spiritualizt:
great pls how can I contact you i lost the email tied to this moniker

growrichtech-at-gmail-dot-com

Opistorincos:
I am currently feeling the same way as you

Great Pal, how is it going? Feeling the same way is cool. But you must approach this business as a business NOT AS A HOBBY even if you're doing it as a hobby or part time. First, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

Secondly, get a second income. Majority of us here are specialists in different fields. Build a website around your passion, interest or specialization. Monetize it with Google Adsense codes. There is hardly no niche market you cannot make money with Google Adsense because of the power of retargeting. So, your area of specialization can make you money.

You can still go ahead to list the domain name of your blog on domain for sale marketplaces but your name servers will remain that of your web host. If sales comes from marketplace, sell in order to cash out and re-invest. Listing in marketplaces will also boost your visibility to an extent.

I know most people are afraid of the hosting cost. You can find cheap web hosting even you cannot afford a robust one for less than $20 per year.

One sale a year should cover that and money from Google Adsense and affiliate income should keep you going. The challenge is in writing constant content and consistent promotion. No pains, no gains. Even the politicians know what they go through to loot money. It's a world of survival of the fittest.

You'll succeed!

As you grow older you'd realize that much of life success depends on luck

Hmmm! With words mastery and usage, men can make you to doubt your belief and faith if one is not careful. Like someone said, luck is where preparation meets opportunity. The question now is, "Is your luck built on preparation and opportunity or mere wishful thinking?" So, life's success depends on reversed luck (i.e. GRACE (God's Riches At Christ's Expense).

So, work with GRACE and you'll sell.

Hello friends and Gurus.
pls, what do you think of greenety.com? I actually want to use this domain for my niche website. The garden niche to be precise, most of the name I came up with was gone so I have to do with this
@ideapro @awesomeduru please I need your input

For a niche website, the domain is great and short. For sale, I would like to know how you came about the "ety" after the "green" in the domain name because it is not obvious for me to discern as I'm thinking like your potential buyer.

maaji:
Oga na example i dey use. I no won put d domain name here cos i never buyam.

most of them use custom built software not available to the public

Softmojo:
Has anyone here ever recieved an inbound from domainagents.com.

I got an offer via email from them for one of my domains and they say transaction would be completed via escrow while buyer pays fees.

Is this scam or are they genuine ?

not scam at all. they are domain brokers. even the potential buyer has paid them circa $19 to initiate the negotiation. it may be a good deal. put on your negotiation cap and goggle

Lol. Is the guy expecting a Nigerian to pay 10k$ for such a domain?

"Too bad he's from Nigeria" lol

My fellow country man, Lets not spoil our name with making fake offers like Pakistan and Bangladesh etc are known for in domain industry.

Lets be wise.

That is my constant grouse with some undesirable elements from Nigeria. May be the Nigerian is thinking that the domain belongs to a fellow Nigerian. He wants to be a cog in the wheel of progress.

thorrvik55:
100%.. I once had three offers for three different names same day and they all failed to pay up. They stopped replying my follow up mails. When I got the offers, in my mind, worst case scenario at least one would sell but it was not to be as they were not my buyers...

Not every offer leads to sale in domaining. Having that at the back of ones head really helps

You're 100 percent correct but not only in domaining. It's in every business both online and brick-and-mortar. If you own a physical shop or store, you'll appreciate what I'm saying. Some leads or potential buyers can even be insulting and you'll like thinking whether to give up. I'm never looking for the 99 percent that will not buy but the 1 percent that will open his wallet.

It's in relationships too. You'll see an ugly man marrying 5 virgins and still counting. You think it's money? No! Charm? No! Many will never fall for these. It's about charisma!

Nigeriaismine:
Thanks for your input, the problem is that I don't think I have questions to ask to those ogas that I don't know.

Even on how to reply end users, I never reply any end users on my own Accord, I will visit my jotter and pick one of the answers I think is the best.

There's so many answers to any questions here, I'm talking as one who have not missed a single page here.

So I don't know.

Great Pal, I've read about your previous muse and I want to say you're just worried about nothing. Everyone has his or her payday. Your payday will definitely come, sooner than you expect. But you must be patient and don't quit. You should be familiar with the common saying that "winners don't quit and quitters don't win."

But before your payday, continue to study, study and study.

In 2 Chronicles 15: 7, the Word of God says, "Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded."

I know you know Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb. I live by his tenets and quotes on a daily basis. He said:

1. "Great success is built on failure, frustration, even catastrophy."
2. "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

My advice is don't ever see failure but success. However, let your relationship with God be pure always so that the devil will not find exhibits to nail you before God and God will have no option than to withdraw HIS GRACE that everybody is talking about.

Hey Tosin, I've sent our free e-books to your inbox. Go through them and ask me any question.

I have said this before but it bears repeating. For some of us here who send PM to fellow members, always check your email address which you used to sign up with Nairaland forum for a reply. At least, you have to acknowledge that you've seen the person's reply. The recipient's reply goes to your mail box not Nairaland. So, don't expect reply on Nairaland platform the same way you sent the PM. I constantly receive PM and when I reply with a simple message like "Hi, this is IdeasPro...," it goes to a dead end. Not good at all! Remember time is of the essence and money. Happy new week. You'll sell and we'll all succeed

Brymo4all:

Great. You can PM for further guidance but at a nominal training fee if you can afford it.
