Please guys, is there anything I can do about this. I decided to try my hands in the domain flipping business. Bought a domain and put it up for sale, due to school work and other stuff I didn't follow up progress on the domain sales only to find out this morning while checking my old mails that afternic sent me a mail since September last year that someone paid $400 for the domain.... checking my afternic dashboard right now, there's no sign that any money was paid. I guess the buyer has been refunded his money.....

Always use email address you regularly open. Also, always go through your spam folder to avoid good emails sent to you being trashed after 30 days. Money was sent to me and the mail was mistakenly sent to spam folder by Google. That day I just checked my spam folder (I don't that often anyway) and discovered that mail. That would have been lost money!

For the domain name, you can keep it knowing that at least one buyer out there is interested. Do your outbound marketing and one of them may be the buyer. Remember, the domain would have appreciated. Increase the price to something $650. If one of the persons you reach out to is the buyer and discover you are the same person, he will let you know. Sell to him at $400 he previously paid. You'll have a friend forever.

What if you have sent to every website that appeared in the domains keyword search?

First, buying the right domain name is key. There is no way to go around it. If you have the best mousetrap, the world will bit a path to your doorstep. Imagine I have a building to sell in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos state, will it take me years to find buyers? No! But to sell a house in the village where I live, they will laugh at you because some people are moving away to urban areas.

Number two, if you sincerely believe in your domain name because you saw a good online business idea for it, why not develop it into a business? Let your potential buyers see it as a business they can take up from a level of making money online and not as work. Asking people to buy empty domain names is like going to Computer Village, Ikeja and telling people how much they have in their wallets and how much they can give you from it. Except someone is led in the spirit to give you, dry season and raining season (i.e. domain name renewal palaver) will meet you without anybody giving you a dime. This is why guys and gals here talk so much about grace, grace and grace.

This is why I focus more on keyword, product or service domain names more than geographical domains. Build a simple website and create a blog on a domain and sell. Although turnkey websites are no longer as popular as before, you can still make profits from it. But if you are ambitious, you can turn a website to $50,000 sale. I have an ebook from another author for this system and after reading it, I said Whaoh! I am working on that myself; it is just that there is only 24 hours in a day!

I am not a website designer myself so don't say you cannot build a website or it costs money to hire a freelance web designer. Use self-hosted WordPress. You can bootstrap online business tools and resources for your first and second websites. Save money from it and start building premium blogs and websites. To be frank with you, there is so much one can give away on a thread like this. And I don't have the time to write an e-book detailed enough to explain the steps involved. Otherwise, my brick-and-mortar businesses will suffer. But as we go things will begin to unfold.

Always assume you have not sent any sales letter until someone replies with buyer's interest. That way, your focus will be on results not on efforts

pls how can one check what a city is known for?

Go to Google.com and simply enter "What is Las Vegas known for." You will be surprised with the results you get. But you can take it a step further. Look at the ancillary services associated with what the city is known for. For example, if Las Vegas is known for gambling, registering domain related to hotels, motels, recreation, car rental, limo services, will sell ultimately.

You can start creating a swipe file for each city, its mainstay, its "picks and shovels" services, and use it to get domain names you can sell without uncertainty even if it doesn't sell immediately.

But if you are ambitious like me and you want to make $10000 per month online, you may have to build authority blog or 2 or more niche website to achieve your goal.

Bro I tell you. Sometimes, it makes me cringe when I see the kind of result people are pulling in the domain name business. Imagine someone generated almost $180k from geo domain name business in 2019. If I have seen this figure before, I would never ask that is it possible to make consistent cash flow from geo domain Name business.



They are great advantages, it seems those two things you mentioned reflex at PayPal figure because It's the highest of the three platforms.

The screenshot you uploaded of domain names sales is what I always advocate so that we can work less and earn more. There is only 24 hours in a day! That guy is the REAL DEAL. He is a domain name investor through and through.

Free hosting is not an option here because there is no much flexibility. For places where you listed your domain for sale, you will only list and not use their name servers. You will make use of the name servers of your paid web hosting company.

My opinion: I see a lot of aspiring Nigerian online entrepreneurs shying away from paid web hosting. TOO BAD! Investing in paid website hosting service of about $141.49 for 3 years is something you can get back within 6 months even if you are a rank beginner. And you can do so many things with your account such as creating custom email address, 301 redirects for affiliate product links, setting up e-commerce store with WordPress, etc.

Always remember that you invest money to make money.

Hope the faces you are using in your designs are from free stock images? You may run into murk waters if it is otherwise. But they are nice and it will increase the value of the domain name ten times if self hosted on servers with just one page blog website.

Tithing is a commandment from God not man. So, leave the broke neighbour to God who commanded it. It is in the bible that the glory of the latter house will be greater than the former (Haggai 2 verse 9). Except the poor neighbour is not totally doing the will of God, I can guarantee you that his wealth will explode sooner than you can imagine.

I am not even writing about peace of mind that tithing and Godliness brings. Drinking and babbling is hallucination and ephemeral joy that varnishes when reality dawns.

Also u may know better. But i believe if just by building website and doing nothing again would bring money, everybody would have been a millionaire with we design. I believe u have to monitise it, which will definitely take time (at least to someone that is new to it), talk more of monitising multiple websites..

Yes, I agree with you on every point. My ONLY challenge with domain flipping is that the law of diminishing returns can set in and frustrate it for someone. That is why we have to continue to learn and upgrade to best business ideas. For me, I am not tech savvy. I am from a business background. I don't even know the difference between HTML and HOTMEAL when I got started. But I discovered learning and becoming an expert in anything is about your mindset and time.

Open GTBank and forget Zenith Bank. Zenith Bank can be a thorn in the flesh when it comes to receiving foreign currencies. They expect you to provide telex copy within 3 days of fund receipt by them. If not they will return your fund to the sender. At least they did it to me.

No, but to build website for sale will take less than an hour. However, the value added is in geometric progression. We are flipping domain name arithmetically. Work less, earn more!

You don't have to build website for all your domain names. With your domain experience now, you should be able to identify the diamonds in the rough and develop them. If you decide to register a domain name, I think there is a business idea that you want to pitch to potential buyers, right? Why not demonstrate that business idea to them? Now, I prefer to buy a house than looking for plot of land to buy and build because you become a house owner immediately and not land owner.

3rd, there are many with portfolio of over 300 domains, and the more they have the more chances of selling. So u suggest we should build as much websites to increase chances of selling?

Yes! Yes! Yes! At least if no immediate buyer within 90 days. Build a simple website with WordPress on it and within the remaining 9 months before the first year of domain registration expires, a buyer will come to you (inbound marketing) and not your outbound marketing.

And if there is affiliate program in that niche, populate your website with affiliate links. Affiliate commissions become the icing on the cake. It is all about common sense. Just buy a digital product from veteran internet marketers and see how they sell other products you never bargained for to you through up-selling, cross-selling and even "down-selling."

It is not exhausting. Hosting plan you will choose should be for unlimited domains for one account.

What is not easy? Even eating is not easy. There are times you feel like someone should feed you and swallow it for you. But you have to do it anyway until you have build up your wealth to start hiring freelancers. But first be a business doer yourself before you start outsourcing.

Building a website, optimizing it and creating content will only take you one day or two. You will not do anything again. You may not build backlinks. Don't forget that the people you are targeting are your competitors. When they see you are taking their targeted traffic, they will approach you for a deal.

Imagine your competitor type a keyword in google and your website trumps his, will he be willing to listen to you? But you must be business minded by getting paid web hosting that allows unlimited domain names hosting in one account. Building wealth and making passive income online is the best way to go. Otherwise, you will just work yourself to death one day. But God forbid!
