Content marketing is pivotal to online business success if planned and executed with military precision. With content marketing alone, your online presence can be felt and seen on the horizon. As you know, content is king and it is what makes the World Wide Web to go round and exciting.

You should know that content comes in different shapes and sizes. You can have it in the form of blog post or article, ebook, video, podcast, webinar, audio, infographic, just name it. However, the type of content that arguably brings targeted traffic to your website or blog should be of high quality, unique and shareable.

In order to create quality content, you must do certain things right in terms of researching, preparation, planning, writing, distribution and publishing of the content. Preparation involves keyword research to learn and know different search queries which your target market is using to find information about products and services in your niche.

Beyond keyword research, you also need to read up on similar content on your subject or topic which are already published and indexed in search engines like Google.com. Don’t forget that effective content marketing can be seen on and outside of your blog.

Unique content which is regularly published on your blog can become your brand and samples for closing future joint ventures effortlessly and affiliate networks’ approval and for getting clients and subscribers in your mailing list especially if you are a freelance writer or blogger.

For example, if your content marketing is focusing on “affiliate marketing business,” you can start your keyword research with the obvious search term, “affiliate marketing.” You can enter this same keyword into Google.com search box to read up on blog posts that are ranking on pages 1-5 to discover everything other successful blogs are doing to make money with affiliate marketing.

With a bit of creativity, this will help you to come up with a unique angle to write your SEO articles. By the time you’re done reading, you should be choke full of affiliate marketing ideas to write, publish and share your most valuable content.

You should know that a good content marketer and strategist will never have any reason to complain of dearth of website visitors. So, if you want to become a successful blogger of influence, affiliate marketer, domainer, freelancer, or any other online business owner, learn and master how to market on the web with quality content.

Domain parking is only profitable when you have several high type-in traffic domain names or a domain name with quality backlinks traffic. Otherwise, it is of no use parking a domain.

You’ll agree with me that you won’t be happy if you have a good product or service and it is not selling. Also, if you have a website or blog and no one is visiting it, it’s a disaster! How can you overcome the limitations of not selling your product or getting targeted traffic to your website? The best answer is to provide quality content that your target audience or readers are searching for on the internet.

This is where content marketing becomes paramount to your online business success. You’ll often here that content is king. But marketing that content to bring in targeted traffic to buy your product or sign up for your business newsletter is what really matters.

So, simply put, content marketing is the system you adopt to create, distribute and publicize your content on the World Wide Web in order to attract visitors to your blog, website, brand, product, service or information. You may use several digital marketing channels to achieve this.

If I accost any webmaster or blogger who is not making money online, the first line of thought that comes to me is probably there is something he is doing wrong in his content marketing campaigns. Even if you don’t have budget for paid advertising, content marketing is free. That is if you write blog posts and articles yourself.

In this content marketing series, I’ll discuss content research, preparation, planning, writing, publishing and marketing. This can be summed up in five words: content marketing strategies and execution. I may have to include links to different topics on a website I’ve created to complement this thread. Because I’m a business doer myself, I’ll not leave any stone unturned. I may be late buy I’ll never be too late.

You're my best friend this year for asking this question. I follow your thoughts too on Iykepromotions thread. A lot of people out there complain too much of not selling because their focus is on "domain flipping" and NOT on "domain name investing." Two different online business models but with the same foundation.

For personal reasons, it is not in my character to flaunt income proofs and reports. Do you know you can transform a mediocre domain name to thousands of dollars within 6 months by creating content on it and have ready buyers knocking at your door to buy it? And the best part, it will not even cost you a fortune to do so.

Let me ask you this question? If someone walk up to you and ask you to exchange your N100 note for his N1,000 note will you be eager to do it? I guess you will! That is how developing a domain name to a level where you don't worry about domain name renewal fees. It also changes your perception on the type of domain names you should focus on.

I only register a domain I will develop sooner or later. If I find a good geo domain I cannot pass, I do so only for one year. After aggressive but ethical outbound marketing, I know that is a dude for me if it doesn't sell. For $10 investment, that should not be a pain to me at all.

My thoughts is to develop a domain and sell it. This way you're selling a business with viable assets (domain, content, traffic, etc) and not a bare land anymore. I was actually folllowing this model but I became more passionate about it when I read an ebook on how a blog was sold for $50,000 by a guy just by doing certain things right.

Creativity, determination and "can do it" spirit is what is making money online for successful bloggers, webmasters, and internet business owners. My advise for you is to get a domain name, develop it, promote it, earn money online with it consistently even if it is only $100 per month, and go ahead to sell that website for $1,200 and above. You would have received and enjoyed the monthly income and then the final selling price. It doesn't stop you from the bangwagon domain flipping frenzy. It only keeps you busy and focused because time is money.

In my next post, I want to discuss content marketing strategies any online business owner can utilize to get free targeted traffic to a website. If you don't have a fat wallet to spend on paid advertising or to hire virtual assistants or SEO experts, this will help you tremendously. Stay tuned!

There's really nothing to explain. It's about buying and selling domain names. For example, you own NazaBlog.com. After you've registered it, you can decide to sell it to anybody who is also interested in simialr domain at a profit. The science is researching good domain names and finding endusers who will be willing and able to buy at an agreed price.

Domaining, as it is called, is an online business model that has made me cool and quick cash. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't do it right that is why there is a lot of failure and little success.

Always understand how trademark is used. "Ecurrency" can be trademarked for "computer and software" by one company and another company or an individual can trademark it for "selling domain names." It is too generic to become exclusive to one company or an individual. See the screenshot below of ecurrency sales. Can one company buy all these domains.

The only exception is when the "word" is a creative of the owner like "Google"

In the process of conducting a keyword research, you advocate we use 'niche keyword' and 'product name keyword'. When I did this, the niche keyword completely saturated the generated results. I couldn't even find the product name keyword in the results.

Here's what I did

Do both keywords separately and use both results to decide your goal

I want to make a little contribution as well as be enlightened on my journey so far.
Resharpened, As to using a Brandable name or not, let me make a little contribution from what I have learnt so far in my Little knowledge from the domain world. I would use a domain marketplace as a CASE STUDY which is DAN dot com, they were formally go by the name UNDEVELOPED dot com which in the Domain world it simply means a work in progress and gave the impression of names that could be of great potentials to one's goods or services in the internet world, So they gradually moved from UNDEVELOPED (keyword) to DAN(Brandable) and now they are known by the later so I think starting a blog with keyword before moving to Brandable would be a great route I might be wrong though.

You're on point. But the only challenge we've as small business owners is that we don't have the heavy fund like Dan/com and Undeveloped/com to transition from keyword to brandable domain name. It involves lots of advertising, press releases, and marketing costs. The best bet is to have long range goal and decide from the onset what you want to get.

For example, I've a brandable I got sometime ago. I'm keeping it for future development and at about $10 per year domain renewal feel I believe that will not kill me. But I've several keyword domain names I'm building for my online businesses and selling for lump sum profits. It's all about strategy and focus. Whichever way it goes, it's individual's call.

There is no secret to it. The blog issue is either getting a domain name and using free hosting or getting self-hosted WordPress blog. The real difference is the professional approach of customization, optimization, monetization and promotion in order to get highest ROI (return on investment).

Firstly, Law and Morality are two different things. Whether it’s a crime or not has nothing to do with Ethical values.

Secondly, the relationship of Boss to employee, or Church leader to follower is different from Mercenary to student.

So for instance, there is no reprimand for Boss or Church Leader who presents a speech as his own.

But any student who is discovered to have engaged a mercenary to write his Project or Course work may be Suspended, Rusticated and/or given a lower mark in that assessed work.

Bottomline is that, it depends on the context.

I know we are not here to go into intellectual debate or to split hairs, one thing I'm convinced of is that ethical issue is a function of order, law, religion, morality, etc. Quick question for you, "Can we now say that it is ethically wrong to use pen names to do business in areas you're an expert but want to hide your real identity?"
