The payout was in USD and that led to some hitches with my local bank - Zenith Bank. I was told that my account can not receive dollars. The back and forth took almost two weeks. And I had to write a letter.

Finally, Zenith Bank credited my account today, being 17th of February at the rate of #363/$.

I was warned that such payment would be REJECTED in the future.

Zenith Bank is waking up now. I pity them. If it was before, they will return that money within 3 days to the sender.

Big bro theres something i need to ask you, How was it possible for a domainer to redirect his web name to his portfolio/profile on DAN.COM. I don't want to drop the domain here, the owner is a Seller who uses the domain as his company website. However when you click on it, It takes you to Dan where you see other names he is selling. I like that. Saw the guy on namepros

2 ways:

First, from his domain account with registrar, forward the domain to the preferred URL. Simply look for domain management section, locate the domain, type the destination URL in the blank field and save. For example, if you type or click https://www.earnmoneytutor.com as a domain name as of writing, it will redirect you to another website. This was done from a domain registrar's account as URL forwarding.

Second, if you have paid web hosting already set up for the domain, simply do 301 or 302 redirect from your hosting dashboard for that specific domain name.

Hi Everyone!

I am building a portfolio site and creating a personalised mail "sales (@) mydomainbrand dot com" for my domain portfolio and make it possible to make offer on the site just for better professional outlook. All domains are pointed to Dan.com (undeveloped) and carry this brand name but I am not sure if this move is right for a few reasons

1. I will be sending outbound mails with this brand mail, I think the general public doesn't know this as a business really. Do you think this will be sort of "Give me your money for a domain" that may be a turn off for prospective end users or they will embrace the brand better than some random somebody who sends them an email.

2. Do buyers become more open to deal with a brand or get turned off?

Has anyone tried doing this? What was the experience of mailing as a brand instead of a personality?
Is using a mail such as "sales@domainbrand.com" a good one or using "hello@...." or "name@...." more appropriate? Nobody likes to being sold and sales scream "I am here to take your money".

Is this a good move or waste of time?

Branding is by far better in business communication. But to make it trust worthy too, you must have good reputation in the past (i.e. footprints). Personally, I don't use sales@domainname .com, I use dnoffer@domainname .com because no one wants to be sold from the get go. It has been working for me.

You cannot say anything about a buyer. Everyone is different until you meet your prospective buyer. There are buyers who don't even know the difference between custom domain name and a free email ID like gmail.com.

So, reach out, reach out and reach out. Your results will tell you what works for you.

Do you know that some white men and women are alien to how online business works. Some don't even know how to check Whois data. This is why majority of them will ask you to call them. With phone lookup service at their disposal, they can quickly verify who you are before they start any conversation.

If the money you are expecting is more than the cost of procuring international passport, why not go and get your passport. It will save you the troubles that may arise from other platforms too sooner or later.

Getting a domain name less than $10 is correct. But what about hosting? You didnt say anything about hosting which is also important.

You can sell your domain, ask your buyer to create an account with Dynadot and then push the domain name to him/her within the 60 days transfer restriction by the registrar.

It means 60 days must lapse before a domain name you registered with them or transferred to them can be listed.

EXACTLY. The problem all arose from the "refund" part and lack of patience (no offense meant) from the other side.
I bet most of us don't make sale within the specified 32days grace oga iykepromotion stated but then, we don't go back seeking for refund.
In my own case, i joined iyke class 1stOct2019 but after making 3 sales. After his class he recommended 2 names which i registered (till today I'm holding them), after the class, it took me 40days to see a sale, so u see, i had the right to seek for refund after 32days which i didn't.
But then mind u, because i had enough to spare then 4 the registration and because I've made sales and knew domaining works, I kept hope and patience. Ending Nov, boom, those Godaddy sales, tru December, Godaddy was my grace area, in January 2020 alone I've made 12sales, feb 1st opened with a sale.
So the point is @ajog1 I don't know how frustrated you are, i don't know how much u have spent, i don't know your position right now, but I'll advice you exercise patients. Some here made a 1st sale over a year trying, but after that, sales started to come at a more favourable interval.
So I'll advice u keep on hope and have patience, God's willing, u will smile very very sooon!

Even as an online business guru (in all modesty) before Iyke came on board, I had personal experience with him that leaves much to be desired. And there is 3rd confirmation from someone else. Business is about relationship. Destroy that relationship and you destroy your business.

I only use to buy domain auction on namepros. I still maintain my Naija PayPal( Private account) while Lesotho is business account.
When I tried it on other merchant site, it always redirect me to Naija PayPal.
I guess this because of my IP address, and of course I still dey use Naija PayPal. May be if I deleted my Naija PayPal I will be able to use it on other sites.
But you know when you win an auction on namepro, the seller will provide you with his/ her PayPal mail address, that's why is easy buying from namepros. But from any other merchant site, no.

always use separate browsers for nigeria (private) and (lesotho) paypals. also don't optin in for auto sign in request by paypal
