We've all been there. Once you grow out of your youthful exuberance, you'll see life differently. Trust me.
PoliticsRe: Is There A True Check And Balance Mechanism In Nigeria? by Idekeson(m): 9:11pm On Feb 09, 2006
There is no checks and balances in Nigeria because there is no representative government in the true sense of it. The elected officials are not accountable to the sopposed people that elect them. The reason for this is the level of political awareness of majority of our people. When we achieve that level, which will come with time, average Nigerians will take charge as is obtained in developed countries.
PoliticsRe: Third Term Agenda <Vote, Comments> by Idekeson(m): 8:18pm On Feb 09, 2006
All of a sudden Nigerians with hidden personal agendas are trying to make us believe that Obasanjo is the solution to our problems. There are countless Nigerians that can govern but Will never have access to government because of our "selection" rather election process. Obasanjo can become a revolutionary leader by conducting a free and fair election for the first time in Nigeria and change the course of history. Can he go against the ruling elite which unfortunately he is one of them? This is the problem holding Nigeria down which no constitutional change or 3rd term can resolve.
PoliticsRe: Governor Nnamani's Many Faces by Idekeson(m): 7:53pm On Feb 09, 2006
Nigeria's "unitary" form of Federalism ensures that nut-cases like Nnamani stay in office to the pleasure of the president. I wish the Nigerian press have the courage to investigate and publish the truth behind these glaring allegations against him. Local governments has been reduced to less than a department of the State government. It's a fact that Nnamani collects local government allocations and hands out chump change to his hand picked local government chairmen. Enugu residents know that all his claims of developments are nothing but a sham. All the purported new projects he claims to have done at huge costs were in fact existing structures, repainted and renamed. He can use the media to promote "Ebano achievements" all he want, but Enugu people know that he is in office because of Obasanjo.
Nairaland GeneralRe: My Case Against Evolution by Idekeson(m): 2:56pm On Feb 05, 2006
Humans can recycle what already exists in nature all they want and call it invention and discovery but the world will remain forever. The form might change over time due to human interference.

RomanceRe: Where Are All the Good Nigerian/African Men? by Idekeson(m): 8:03pm On Feb 04, 2006
Good men in general are a premium. If you want one you must give yourself a realistic chance and hope for the best. However, if you are not up to it, you can always settle for the generic.

Christianity EtcRe: Are Catholics Really Christians? by Idekeson(m): 7:32pm On Feb 04, 2006
It's very inspiring that you noticed things you don't like about the Catholic church and left. More encouraging is that you're able to voice out your opinion about them. Now, contrast that with what is going on with the Mohamad cartoons in Europe. That's what you should be worried about because if the trend continues, you will not be able to complain about Mary or any other image.
SportsRe: Jay Jay Okocha and World Best Player Award by Idekeson(m): 6:44pm On Feb 04, 2006
No. I love Okocha to death but he hasn't been the best in both awards. He hasn't changed much from his early days at Enugu Rangers. One of the most gifted footballers of our time but never had the "win at all cost" approach of champions, who unfortunately are not as gifted as he is. A wonderful career regardless.
RomanceRe: Should Lovers Keep Secrets From Their Past From Each Other by Idekeson(m): 10:41pm On Feb 02, 2006
Past secrets that are no longer part of your life should never be brought up. Stuff that happened in previous relationships only breed mistrust, even if your partner is very understanding. But any past secret that remains a part of your life eg. love child must be brought up and resolved before you proceed. It is part of who you are.
RomanceRe: Blood Covenant With Your Boyfriend/Girlfriend? by Idekeson(m): 9:25pm On Jan 30, 2006
If she/he is so stupid to believe that nonsense, and you haven't had enough of whatever pleasure you're getting, just play along. You face the greatest risk signing the dotted lines than some fictitious voodoo b***t.
Christianity EtcRe: Islamic And Christian Religion What Is The Difference by Idekeson(m): 5:55pm On Jan 30, 2006
@exu
more decadent? I'm not sure. I'm really not interested in the moral content of either beliefs. But if you don't see the violent leaning of Islamic teaching especially in the middle east, you must be clouded from reality. The killings and property distructions that often occur in Northern Nigeria is a case in point.
Jokes EtcRe: Ibo Men!! by Idekeson(m): 7:34pm On Jan 25, 2006
Continued misconception of the Igboman. No sweat. Bring it on. We can handle it. Jokes apart.
Christianity EtcRe: Islamic And Christian Religion What Is The Difference by Idekeson(m): 6:06pm On Jan 25, 2006
Without going into the ideological differences of both religion, the main problem is the idea that Islam condones violence against non believers. Even if this notion is not the official position of Islam, it sure has played out that way around the world. This is definitely unacceptable in modern times. Freedom is choice without fear of persecution.
