Nice boobs! |
@Danasco If you can stand up to the intolerant majority in the North with the same zeal that you're joining issues with me, my goal is achieved, and Nigeria will be the winner for it. |
Religious suffering is, at one and the same time, the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people. ~ Karl Marx A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death. ~ Albert Einstein All religions are cruel, all founded on blood; for all rest principally on the idea of sacrifice-that is, on the perpetual immolation of humanity to the insatiable vengeance of divinity. ~ Mikhail Bakunin All , religions show the same disparity between belief and practice, and each is safe till it tries to exclude the rest. Test each sect by its best or its worst as you will, by its high-water mark of virtue or its low-water mark of vice. But falsehood begins when you measure the ebb of any other religion against the flood-tide of your own. There is a noble and a base side to every history. ~ Thomas Wentworth Higginson All religions, with their gods, demigods, prophets, messiahs and saints, are the product of the fancy and credulity of men who have not yet reached the full development and complete possession of their intellectual powers. ~ Mikhail Bakunin, God and the State (1871) A religion, even if it calls itself a religion of love, must be hard and unloving to those who do not belong to it. ~ Sigmund Freud, Group Psychology And The Analysis Of The Ego (1921) I believe that religion, generally speaking, has been a curse to mankind — that its modest and greatly overestimated services on the ethical side have been more than overcome by the damage it has done to clear and honest thinking. ~ Henry Louis Mencken Man is the religious animal. He is the only religious animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion -— several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat, if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven. ~ Mark Twain The beauty of religious mania is that it has the power to explain everything. Once God (or Satan) is accepted as the first cause of everything which happens in the mortal world, nothing is left to chance, logic can be happily tossed out the window. ~ Stephen King Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich. ~ Napoleon Bonaparte "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters." It's an oral history. It was passed down, word-of-mouth, father to son, from Adam to Seth, from Seth to Enos, from Enos to Cainan, for 40 generations, a growing, changing, story, it was handed down, word-of-mouth, father to son. Until Moses finally gets it down on lambskin. But lambskins wear out, and need to be recopied. Copies of copies of copies of copies of copies of copies of copies of an oral history passed down through 40 generations. From Hebrew it's translated into Arabic, from Arabic to Latin, from Latin to Greek, from Greek to Russian, from Russian to German, from German to an old form of English that you could not read. Through 400 years of evolution of the English language to the book we have today, which is: a translation of a translation of a translation of a translation of a translation of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of an oral history passed down through 40 generations. You can't put a grocery list through that many translations, copies, and re-telling, and not expect to have some big changes in the dinner menu when the kids make it back from Kroger's. And yet people are killing each other over this written word. Here's a tip: If you're killing someone in the name of God — you're missing the message. ~ Nick Annis in the preface to God is Good. In the long run, nothing can withstand reason and experience, and the contradiction religion offers to both is palpable. ~ Sigmund Freud So many gods, so many creeds; So many paths that wind and wind, While just the art of being kind Is all the sad world needs. ~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox TBC. |
@Seun You have to come up with a better lame excuse on why Yoruba girls are predominantly ugly. Is it in the gene or something in the water? |
There is only one Igbo people and the language we speak is Igbo. "Ibo" is a product of the inferiority complex that plague Africans. Always striving to adjust every aspect of our life to fit into western mold. |
Idekeson:I think that the tension prevalent in Africa (Nigeria, Dafur-Sudan etc) can be eliminated or lessened if the discrimination between Indigenous Africans and Africans of Arab descent is dealt with. There is a sense of misguided superiority among Africans of Arabic descent, that Islam has to address to advance the cause of Islam among indigenous Africans. |
Is Islam synonymous with Arabic? Can you be a good moslem less Arabic influence, eg language? |

I saw 2Face on an MTV2 programme, presented by Ludacris last sunday. It made me feel good as a Naijaman. |
The word on the street is that an average Indian man can be very shrewd about money. That rubs a lot of people the wrong way. There may be exceptions but sincerely, I haven't met one yet. |
I knew that boy is up to no good since after what he did to our team at the WYC. I just love to hate that guy. It maybe jealousy, but I'm loving it. |
It pays not to mess with the "Cosa Nostra". Especially their daughters. |
If it's that risky in Italy, then abort the plan. The goal is to free yourself, not commit suicide. |
Sincerely suggest she take a test too, which hopefully turns out negative for her. On why you haven't looked sick after a while, just point out Magic Johnson. That new drugs now control the effects. NB: This is for a serious break-up. Not just any fling. |
HIV test came up positive! |
What I'm most surprised is the number of Nigerians that believe in the powers of "remote control" (voodoo), without any proof of its efficacy. I guess it's like religion. You either believe or not. No questions asked. No proof needed. A lot of educated and sophisticated Nigerians are guilty of this. |
Nice. But I prefer red rose. |
@flower I must have missed your picture. Could you kindly put it up again? That may convince me to let you take a peek into my mask. |
@flower A picture will worsen an already bad situation. Demand is seriously backed-up at this time. |
F***king is not a crime, last I checked. |
How did Mike Adenuga, all of a sudden became a power player in Nigeria? I need to know the road my role model travelled. Maybe I could emulate him. |
@Danasco Thank God you had access to knowledge to appreciate the values of tolerance or you'll be running around with the unfortunate ignorant fools up north killing innocent people. Whether it's politically correct or not, the level of ignorance up north contributes immensely to their been used by their leaders to foment trouble in the name of religion. |
@pssword Private education in Nigeria is out of the reach of the common man. The public school system is rotten like the rest of the country. Thank God for our God-given smarts. That's why a lot of Nigerians excel abroad. |
Just a minor adjustment, 1. B.I.G 2. 2Pac |
@chrisd My fingers are just fine. I'll rather have you do the E=MC2 problems. |
@nikinash Go to Mapquest.com and download the direction to the Jungle. I'll put you up in one of my most cozy trees. You'll love the big oak tree on the eastside. I assure you, you'll forget all your trauma coming from a broken home. |
