EducationRe: Nigerian Boarding House Stories And Pictures by Idekeson(m): 4:30pm On Jun 30, 2006
I was a boarding student in in one of the former missionary schools in the east. This was in the early 80's. Fear of the senior students was the beginning of wisdom. The terror inflicted on juniors was so open and notorious that some students withdrew from school. Corporal punishment was the norm. If a senior asks you to go buy him stuff, woe betide you to hang around for one second expecting he will give you money for the errand. You'll be severely punished for such "insubordination" and still complete the errand out of your pocket.
A common practice of seniors is the extortion of money in lieu of corporal punishment. Seniors often walk around classes and demand that the class prefect produce a list of noise makers. Students always talk in class, so the class prefect is never short of a list. The unfortunate "toads" on the list are marched directly to the dorm, where everyone is made to lie on top of a bare bunk bed. If you have some money on you, you'll buy your freedom. If not you're sure to get a thorough beating.
What baffled me was that these and many more atrocities went on under the nose of teachers.
CelebritiesRe: Most Nollywood Actors And Actresses Are Poor by Idekeson(m): 3:15pm On Jun 30, 2006
Orikinla:
I still want the government to investigate and probe the Ibo marketers who are claiming to make millions of dollars from Nollywood. Because I suspect that they are using Nollywood as a cover up for the real deals behind the cameras. Because, if they are really making money from their movies, the actors, actresses, producers and directors should be very comfortable.
Once again Igbo-phobia in action. Blame it all on the Emeka and Okoro on Balogun street. huh huh

Do you have some operations that you would like tell us about that illustrates your point that "usually the success of such operations [assymetric] do not translate into substantial gains and the war drags on".
anton:
Better get yo study up.
CrimeRe: Rules of Engagement during Battle by Idekeson(m): 2:47pm On Jun 29, 2006
The use of asymmetric warfare (covert operations) may allow you to engage the enemy in an area with a high risk of civilian casualty. But usually the success of such operations do not translate into substantial gains and the war drags on.
HealthRe: Tips To Getting Slimmer (The Natural Way) by Idekeson(m): 2:27pm On Jun 29, 2006
Food, Food, Food make you fat. Cut your portion and lose the fat. Exercise will do magic for you, but let's face it most of us are just too lazy for that. If you don't believe food is key, check out our rural population. Why do you think obesity is not an issue? If you can't trade in the food, then say goodbye to the sexy tight bod.
RomanceRe: Strategy For 'Toasting' Girls by Idekeson(m): 2:00pm On Jun 29, 2006
In this age of over-saturation of women, you don't need to labour yourself on strategy. The best option for an average Naija guy is to play the numbers game. Go out there and toast as many women as you can, with whatever approach you have. Your problem will be keeping the ones you can handle. Don't even try to impress with material stuff especially if you're not up to it. There are simply too many fishes out in the sea that you'll get tired casting your net.

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Flag: Green, White, Green = Islamic Nation by Idekeson(m): 3:21pm On Jun 28, 2006
Ashiwaju:
We have got the best catholics in Nigeria, the best and the most recognised catholic members accross the world. if babangida took nigeria to IOC in 1986 why can't Obasanjo who is a renowed Christian Take Nigeria to the Christian commitee that is if there is any. Dont forget we have CAN in nigerian and they are well represented accross the world.
Maybe I should explain this simple issue a million times for it to sink into your head. Nigeria is a secular country, according to the constitution. The supreme law of the land.. Meaning, it is unconstitutional for the government to enroll in any religious based organization like the OIC. The Supreme Council on Islamic Affairs can join the OIC, so can the Christian Association of Nigeria join any Christian based organization, if they choose to. But, not the government of Nigeria. The state cannot adopt any state religion, even if it is implied.

@Lucifer
I'm pretty sure a guy like you that is quick to condemn Enugu do so out of lack of economic opportunities for lazy broke-ass like yourself. The sad reality is that even in places like PH you'll still end up picking crumbs. Blaming the city on your shortcomings won't do you any good. Quit the hating and work harder to elevate yourself from the lower class. Then you can create your fun anywhere you find yourself. I doubt if that will happen because losers tend to remain losers.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Flag: Green, White, Green = Islamic Nation by Idekeson(m): 4:13am On Jun 27, 2006
Nigeria is not For Christians only. Trust me, if Christians had some sort of 'code' language like Arabic, I'm sure it'll be on the Naira note.
Arabic on the note is some form of letting us know that Islamic people are identified in Nigeria. Why not find out what the Arabic sign on the note means before you make conclusions?

Nigeria is also a member of Christian conference. Why r u not shouting about that one? Just because we partake in Islam stuffs don't mean we are an ISLAMIC nation.
Lest someone mistake this ignorant ranting as facts.

The Arabic inscriptions is claimed to be on the Naira for the benefit of illiterate Hausa/Fulani.
I don't see any Igbo or Yoruba inscription, to mention but two tribes in a nation of over 250 tribes.

OIC is an organization of Islamic countries.  Nigeria is a secular country.  The constitution provides for no state religion.  I can't recall of any Christian based organization that the government of Nigeria is a member.

I'm all for equal rights for Muslims and other Nigerians, no matter your religion.  But mixing religion with government is like mixing oil and water, a recipe for disaster.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Flag: Green, White, Green = Islamic Nation by Idekeson(m): 7:29pm On Jun 26, 2006
I've always suspected that dull Green-White-Green. No emotional attachment. Maybe we should adopt the Biafran flag (Rising Sun)
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Flag: Green, White, Green = Islamic Nation by Idekeson(m): 6:55pm On Jun 26, 2006
Henceforth, I shall desist from associating with any object with the color green, including the American Dollar. Beware of Islamic domination. grin

666 has significance. it depends on what you know
It's just the number after 665 and before 667. Easy and simple. No innuendos.
AutosRe: Customised Plate Numbers by Idekeson(m): 4:13am On Jun 25, 2006
What if 666 is written in Chinese, Arabic or Hebrew. Can the Christian devil still claim the sign since they don't believe in the bible. Just wondering.

I rarely see a female defend another girls beauty the way you do. Are you f**King her? It's not a bad thing but will explain your passion.

The way you're carrying on about your friend suggest to me that you're really overwhelmed by her looks which in realty is just average, if I have to be nice. It's obvious you don't know much about Naija women and your idea of beauty is very much limited.
RomanceRe: Making Love With Your Man Friend In Your Matrimonial Bed by Idekeson(m): 1:57pm On Jun 22, 2006
I get a kick taking such risks. If I can meet up with her for a round of rough sex in her matrimonial king size bed, that will make my day. As long as I don't know the husband, I have no problem with it. After all, what you don't know won't hurt you. Life is a bitch.
