In my family, my dad is a doctor and his first 3 are all doctors.
You know most african parents in the 70s, they already pre-determine who will study what as soon you come out from the womb.
I studied medicine, but absolutely hate it with a passion. Studied it just enough to pass and graduate, chucked the degree at the bottom of a box, and started learning computers by myself, then went to Uni to study it, computers and programming is my true passion. My dad still hates me till today

Creflo is a pulpit love-vendor prosperity preacher, no doubt everyone knows that(unless of the mugus and sheep who follow blindly), I dont listen to him and I'm not a christian.
But, I have to give the dude kudos for putting his foot down to tell is 15 year old she is not going to a party at 1am. As a parent NO means NO, but he over-stepped the boundaries. I have 2 daughtes (16 & 13) and I understand they can drive you to the brink.
But Creflo should have exercised the 'fruits of the spirit' he has been preaching about, but the prosperity gospel has taken front seat and 'fruits of the spirit' teachings are hard to come by in his teachings.

Again, it is clear here that his home is broken. For a child to stand up his dad in that way, and the older daughter supporting the story, it means he has not been a daddy and develpoed good bonds with his kids from when they were young. He might have been busy flying around the world in his private jet spreading the prosperity gospel instead of spending quality time with his kids and developing a bond

I don't mean to generalise, cos I also know parents who spends lots of time with their kids and still they turn out like creflo's daughter who wants to party and go clubbing at 1am.

With children, it takes wisdom, and creflo has not shown wisdom in this scenario.

Need some advice dear Parents:
I have a 7 year old son. For the past year or so, me and my wife have been giving him money when he helps clean or does something in the house and he really enjoys it and has a piggy bank where he saves it. If he helps his mum clean dishes - £1, if he cleans his room we give him £2 or so. He saved up about £25 and bought the FIFA12 game for his PS3 himself. He is saving now for LEGO Batman2 which will be out later this month, will cost £34, and he has about £15 at the moment, and he is excited about it, calculating how much more he needs. I come from work and he goes 'dad, just cleaned my room, come have a look, everything is in place'. I just thought its a good way to make him appreciate money.

Now....

My good friend from secondary school days who happens to be an assistant pastor in one of the Redeemed churches came to see me last week, and I was just telling him about this. His response kind of suprised me. His line of thought was

-It is wrong to do that.
-You are teaching him to depend on the system of this world to be his source and not God
-You are teaching him to love money, and the love of money is the root of all evil

Told my wife later and she got pissed off, told me not to listen to that rubbish!
What do my fellow parents think. Is this wrong? Could it have an effect on his outlook on money in the future?

What the hell is wrong with Nigerian christians for God's sake? At every holy ghost or whatever service, you see poor/middle class church members all cramped into each other, some even dieing and loosing possesions due to the chaotic nature of those gatherings.

These same poor members drop their 'widows mite' as tithe and offerings, and as christians they expect to be blessed, but by whom? God? is he going to bring his hand down from heaven and give you bread? is it not man that he uses to bless them?

Now these middle class/poor members send their children to federal universities and state universities where the fees are a lot cheaper but we know what these children go through in these universities; cultism, prostitution, exam malpractices, devious acts, hardship, doing business along with studies to make ends meet etc. None of them will even bother to send their children to THE CHURCH'S UNIVERSITY because they cannot afford it. Can't you see the Church is missing a very big mark here, and later we turn around to blame the government for the woes of our children. What if these Churches had stepped in a long while ago to give free tuition, open their arms to many of their poor/middle class member students and many they could admit, and then teach them the righteousness your Pastors brazenly preach on the pew now and then? Don't you think there will be a change at least? But instead you drive them away with crazy tuition fees.

Are you seeing the Hypocrisy here? Why even starting the church in the first place? Is the church not meant to be a place of succor for every one that finds shelter under it? when did it turn to a psychological clinic? was it the way it was back in the hey days?

Why will Adeboye and RCCG keep on taking poor/middle class member tithes and offering, the money they accumulated to build the university and her still using to run the university and turn around to deny their children free education? Are they only catering for the rich in that church?

Please dont talk about they giving hundreds of students scholarship because you can't give me proof. You cant give me nothing because if there was it would have been boldly addressed on the school's website. They don't even offer scholarship one bit because if they would, it should be on their website.
