LordviccoDaGuru: PRESIDENT BUHARI TO IGBO LEADERS: YOUR DEMAND FOR NNAMDI KANU’S RELEASE IS HEAVY. I WILL CONSIDER IT
An unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), currently standing trial, runs contrary to the doctrine of separation of powers between the Executive and Judiciary, President Muhammadu Buhari has said.
Receiving a group under the aegis of Highly Respected Igbo Greats, led by First Republic parliamentarian and Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, at State House, Abuja, the President told the 93-year-old statesman:
“You’ve made an extremely difficult demand on me as leader of this country. The implication of your request is very serious. In the last six years, since I became President, nobody would say I have confronted or interfered in the work of the Judiciary. God has spared you, and given you a clear head at this age, with very sharp memory. A lot of people half your age are confused already. But the demand you made is heavy. I will consider it.”
Stressing his policy of non-interference with the Judiciary, President Buhari said when Kanu jumped bail, got arrested and brought back to the country, “I said the best thing was to subject him to the system. Let him make his case in court, instead of giving very negative impressions of the country from outside. I feel it’s even a favour to give him that opportunity.”
The President condoled with Chief Amaechi, who recently buried his wife, praying that her soul would rest in peace.
The nonagenarian had described the situation in the Southeast as “painful and pathetic,” lamenting that businesses have collapsed, education is crumbling, and there is fear everywhere.
He pleaded for a political, rather than military solution, requesting that if Kanu was released to him as the only First Republic Minister still alive, “he would no longer say the things he had been saying,” stressing that he could control him, “not because I have anything to do with them (IPOB), but I am highly respected in Igbo land today.”
Chief Amaechi said twice he had interfaced with Nnamdi Kanu in the past, and the latter rescinded orders earlier given on civil disobedience.
He concluded: “I don’t want to leave this planet without peace returning to my country. I believe in one big, united Nigeria, a force in Africa. Mr President, I want you to be remembered as a person who saw Nigeria burning, and you quenched the fire.”
Other people in the visiting delegation were; His Excellency Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former Governor of Anambra State, Bishop Sunday Onuoha of the Methodist Church, Chief Barrister Goddy Uwazurike, former President of Igbo socio-cultural group, Aka Ikenga, and Mr Tagbo Mbazulike Amaechi.

Politics › Re: Suspected Ambazonia Fighters Sack Manga Taraba, 5 Killed, Many Missing by Idiko1: 1:37pm On Nov 19, 2021 |
Traplord09: …We’re waiting for reports from our mission in Cameroon — Foreign Ministry
…Nigeria’s sovereignty under threat — Senate
No fewer than five persons, including a traditional ruler, were on Tuesday killed by suspected Ambazonia fighters from Cameroon who stormed Manga village in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Confirming this development to Vanguard via telephone, Chairman of the LGA, Shiban Tikari, said some others were still missing after the invasion.
He said: “Yes, Manga village in Shigom ward of Takum Local Government Area was attacked. A local chief was killed alongside four others. When the invasion started, many people fled.
“Some fell into the river, while others climbed the mountains to save themselves from being killed.
“As I speak with you now, we can confirm only five death because those bodies have been recovered. But people are adding those still missing to the number of casualties, that is why you will hear some say 9 or 11 were killed.
“The soldiers, police and other security operatives have also been deployed to the village. We are hoping that those that fled would return because we are still on the look out.”
However, younger brother to the slain monarch, Joseph Manga, who is an aide to Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, said about 11 persons were killed.
According to him, the Ambazonia fighters attacked some villages in Camerooon before crossing to the border community in Taraba State.
FG should act fast — Ishaku
Reacting to the incident, Governor Ishaku said he was saddened by the invasion of some parts of Taraba State by foreign fighters.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu, the governor said lives were sacrosanct and should be preserved at all costs.
He urged the Federal Government to act fast to stop the encroachment of Nigerian soil by foreign fighters.
He also disclosed that the governor has informed security operatives about the incident.
Contacted, an fficer of the Immigration Service, who was on ground and confirmed the incident to Vanguard, said they called for reinforcement.
He also said soldiers from 93 Battalion, Takum and other security agencies have moved in to the affected community and border area.
He further confirmed that the casualty figure from the bodies recovered was five.
Vanguard also gathered that Taraba State Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, CIS Nuhu Tanko Kutana, who was on official duty in Abuja, had to return to the state to attend to the emergency situation.
At press time yesterday, , Taraba State Police command was yet to get back to Vanguard.
Reacting to the attack, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday it was waiting for report from Nigeria’s mission in Cameroon.
Spokesperson of the ministry, Mrs Esther Sunsuwa, said: “ We are yet to receive any report from Cameroon but I promise you that as soon as the ministry receives the report, it will respond accordingly.”
But the Senate in its reaction, said the sovereignty of Nigeria as a country was currently under threat and called on the military to urgently swing into action to prevent the eventual occupation of Manga community by the separatists.
The Upper Chamber, thereafter, held a minute silence in honour of those killed by the Ambazonia separatists.
Resolutions of the Senate were sequel to a Point of Order by the Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Taraba South, who drew the attention of his colleagues to the matter that Nigeria’s territorial sovereignty was under threat.
Bwacha, who came under Order 43 which is on personal explanation during plenary, bemoaned the killing of the village head of Manga community and some residents.
According to him, the invasion of the community by the separatists from neighbouring Cameroon led to the sack of residents of Manga village.
While noting that the affected village was 20 kilometers away from Kashimbilla Dam, Bwacha said: “I rise this morning (yesterday) to draw the attention of our country men and particularly our security agencies to this unfortunate incident which undermines our integrity and sovereignty as a nation.
“Takum local government houses the 23 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, and so Mr. President, it is my humble submission that the Nigerian Army should rise to the challenge and curb this wanton territorial expansion.
“Their (separatists) motive is yet unknown, whether they want to expand territory or lay claim for Southwest Cameron is not yet clear.
“As I speak, a number of individuals have gone missing and their whereabouts are yet unknown. The village also is razed down.”
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/11/five-killed-many-missing-as-suspected-ambazonia-fighters-sack-taraba-community/amp/ Where was this goon when Fulani army cum Nigerian army executed worse assault in southeast than the so-called Ambazonians have done in Taraba State? Nigeria does not have credible stance to carry out military action against the alleged Ambazonians when its army is joyously killing citizens of Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: This Is Why I Don't Argue About Nigeria's Breakup by Idiko1: 4:52am On Nov 17, 2021 |
AlexBells: I know that I'm a core Biafran but honestly you won't see me shouting Biafra or death, First of all, most of us in Biafra Land would honestly say, if Nigeria is well managed who needs Biafra but on the other hand the more you look at Nigeria the more hopeless it get.
Forget about corruption or even Buhari's Nepotism, why is cooking gas too costly when we have abundant natural gas under our feet, you would only find out how hopeless Nigeria is and how hopeless things are getting.
No one in his right sense really blames people who agitate for the country's breakup but then there are those of us who really don't care whether Nigeria breaks up or stick together then why are some of us having such apathy on both side.
For me I asses the cost of Nigeria's beakup and I had seen that unless the Breakup is overseen by core terrorists, Nigeria's break up would be too costly, I count on terrorists here becuase 1. They don't really care about an effective country, they only care about their Islamic state, in this case they won't care about coastlines and they don't mind declaring Nothern Nigeria independence.
Now the tricky situation is that Northern power brokers would fight back they would not allow the North to fall to terrorists and in this case, Southern Soldiers would be deployed and the day would most likely be saved with the North backing a Southern President, preferably Igbo.
Now you look at another situation if they conduct a referendum for Biafra, once that referendum is put up then Western Nigeria is demanding for a Referendum immediately, the exit of the entire South would leave the North completely landlocked again unacceptable, and this one would bring the mother of all chaos.
I still maintained that as at 1967 the North was willing to let Biafra go but the West said if the East left, they would also go, now you see the situation, no one is ready to let the other go, so after I had looked at the situation, I had adviced myself to focus on simpler things like building standard hospitals within my own locality and more. In the circle of learned beings, the bolded is called the fool's theory. I am a bit worried by the stream of your thought. |

seunolu7: Top 10 Most Educated Tribes In Nigeria
We’ll untangle the confusing, difficult, and unclear position of Nigeria’s most educated tribe below. Below is the list of the most educated tribes in Nigeria.
10. Isoko This is a lesser-known minority group from the Niger Delta region that is actually well-educated. The Isoko people are an ethnic or cultural group who live in the Delta and Bayelsa states of Nigeria. They are a people from southern Nigeria, near the Niger delta in the northwestern part of the country. The 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria include Delta State and Bayelsa State. There are noteworthy people in the education field, and the tribe is among Nigeria’s top ten most educated tribes.
9. Ibibio The Ibibio are a group of people from southern Nigeria who live along the coast. They are predominantly located in the states of Akwa Ibom and Cross River; they are also from the Niger Delta region and are among the country’s most educated tribes.
They are linked to the Efik and Annang Igbo peoples. During Nigeria’s colonial period, the Ibibio Union petitioned the British for recognition as an independent nation. 8. Calabar Calabar is a port city near the Cameroon border in southern Nigeria. Cross River State’s capital is located on a hill near the Calabar River and the Cross River delta. The city’s older portions, such as Henshaw Town, Duke Town, and the waterfront area, are filled with British colonial architecture. Duke Town Cathedral is one of Nigeria’s oldest cathedrals, dating back to the 19th century. The river may be seen from the surrounding cemetery. Calabar is ranked number eight on our list.
Although the comedic accent portrayed in Nollywood films has raised some doubt. We have a lot of educated Calabar folks who don’t have awful intonation.
7. Ijaw The Ijaw people live in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, in the states of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Ondo, and Rivers. As migratory fishers, they can be found in camps as far west as Sierra Leone and as far east as Gabon. The Ijaws have a population of 3.7 million people, according to various estimates. This group of people includes educated individuals. Through education, Ijaw people seek knowledge, self-improvement, and self-development. Ijaw has a significant number of educated people; suffice it to say, the tribe is among Nigeria’s most educated.
6. Itsekiri The Itsekiri are a Yoruba subgroup from Delta State in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. The Itsekiris are people who live largely in the Delta State local government districts of Warri South, Warri North, and Warri southwest on Nigeria’s Atlantic coast. This is one of Nigeria’s most well-educated tribes.
The Tribes listed above are remarkable for having a large number of educated members. They are thought to be among the Top 10 Tribes in Nigeria with the most educated individuals, according to studies.
5. Urhobo The Urhobos are people who live in southern Nigeria, near the Niger Delta in the northwest. The Urhobo ethnic group is the largest ethnic group in Delta State, one of Nigeria’s 36 states. The Urhobo language is spoken by the Urhobos. Rather than a location, the term Urhobo refers to a group of people. This group is well-educated and enters pastoral ministry, which means they have a higher level of influence over their followers.
4. Edo Edo State is one of the Nigerian states, located in the country’s southern portion. When it comes to civilization, the Edo tribe is one of the most civilized in the country, owing to their high rate of illegal migration to other countries and other factors.
Someone can, nevertheless, claim to be cultured but uneducated. The Edo people are cultured and educated and can be considered among the country’s best-educated. Benin Metropolis, the state capital, and largest city in Nigeria’s fourth-largest city and the heart of the country’s rubber industry. The Edo people are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Edo people can be found in almost every field. You’d be hard-pressed to find an Edo man who isn’t educated.
3. Hausa people For Hausa tribes, I remove the cap. This tribe is among Nigeria’s most well-educated. Look about you and you’ll notice plenty of reasons why they should be ranked third. The Hausa people are the most powerful in politics. They understand politics, and leadership requires educated individuals. There are as many educated Hausas as there are illiterates in Hausa land, but the educated Hausas and their output outnumber the illiterates.
2. Igbo People When it comes to Nigeria’s educated tribes, this group is the talk of the town. Academically and economically, the Igbo people are fortunate. Take it from me: an Igbo man in business is just like an Igbo man in school. He is hardworking and successful. Igbo people also have high number of graduates, learned people, and so on.
1. Yoruba Yorubas are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Yoruba people have a reputation for being in top positions. This indicates that they are well-educated. Education is the only way to become a senior executive in a large corporation where the Yoruba tribe is dominant. In Nigeria, the Yoruba people were the first to adopt western education, which caused them to recognize the importance of education early on. They are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Not really!!!! The returnees in Lagos Colony seemed to blindfold most Nigerians on this subject matter. After Igbo and Yoruba, no ethnic group is more educated than Ibibio in Nigeria. |

He stated this during an interview with Arise TV. He thanked God for his achievement so far despite being motherless at his tender age.
He said;
"I became a Professor in my 30s. I achieved everything I wanted to achieve in my 30s. I have travelled to 46 countries as a consultant or as a visiting Professor. omenkaLives: In what appears to be a "love gone sour" situation, Osita Chidoka has lampooned IPOB on his Facebook page over their calls for "biafrans" to Sit At Home during the Anambra governorship election should the leader of the proscribed group remain in custody beyond the 5th of November 2021.
In his scathing remarks, he called the promoters of the sit at home order (IPOB) MAD PEOPLE, suggesting the order was in bad taste and unacceptable.
His complete statement reads:
You sat at home screaming No Elections, 104,037 voters determined the Governor of Anambra State, less than 5 per cent of registered voters.
The elected Governor will oversee state budget of at least 400 billion Naira over the next four years. If you add Local Government funds, it will be over 700 billion Naira.
You sat at home and said voting does not count, the election is already rigged. Two hundred nineteen thousand five hundred eighteen persons (219,518) less than 10% of registered voters went out, and the parties bought votes from between 1000 and 5000 Naira per vote.
If voters don't count, why did the Politicians buy votes? At an average of 3,000 per vote, a Governor can be elected with less than 350 million Naira by a hungry minority. If 1m voters had come out, it would have been difficult.
Mad people everywhere.
https://www.facebook.com/241803612521286/posts/4801572859877649/
As expected, his remarks didn't go down well with his supporters, who double as ipob supporters as well, and they made no attempt to hide their anger at his remarks, with some calling him derogatory names like "sabo", "efulefu", "ezi" "idiot", etc. Their comments are captured below.
One would therefore be forced to ask, "have the scales finally fallen off Chidoka's eyes"?
Cc: Mynd44, Lalasticlala, Seun, Obinoscopy. Where was this dumbass fool when fewer than 5 people determined who is the governor of Imo State? It is funny when fortune chaser such as Chidoka talks about who will manage budget. For goodness's sake, this punk should have discussed what happened to the budget when 5 million people in Anambra State casted their votes. Sit at home or sit tight or sit on the desk is horonable action of civil disobedience or protest. Unlike Chidoka who touts the image of ill-educated would-be professor, IPOB is on the correct path with sit at home order. The quest for self-determination out values the budget hedged on the Nigerian silly currency. |

You may say, But what is he doing while Buhari is messing up, but if you take a good look, what can he do? If he opens up, he will be dealt with; the best is to play his cards well for his own time to become president.
Remember when Buhari went to London and handed over power to Osinbajo, he quickly made drastic moves, by sacking the DSS guy and installing the next in line who was a southerner but immediately Buhari came back, he replaced the southerner with another northerner and till date, he has refused to hand over power to Osinbajo when on his way out of the country.
Osinbajo has this progressive vibes, Tinubu is old and old-fashioned, I doubt he has ideas to run this country well, as he should be sitting with OBJ or Gowon to discuss their days back then.

NJPot: It is obvious that Nigeria is not yet one nation. Nigeria still plays regional politics. Developed countries like US, France, Germany, UK and so on or even Ghana don't care what region the president comes from. Tribalism in Nigeria got worst under Buhari and Tinubu's style of politics. Most appointments under this regime went to northerners. And Tinubu wants to become president or install one of his erand boys as president after Buhari so that he would continue the tribalism from where Buhari stopped.
But Igbos are ready for Tinubu and his boys. Igbos would vote massively for a northerner in 2023 if APC does not field a real and correct Igbo man as their presidential candidate. The real Igbos in APC are Chris Ngige and Ogbonnaya Onu. Rochas and Orji Uzo Kalu no follow.
I repeat. Igbos would vote massively for another northerner in 2023 after all they have not completed the Yaradua's tenure. It is either APC Igbo president or PDP northern president. Chikena. The caption of your thread runs contrary to the bolded. It is safe to say you are a typical Nigerian. nairalandankrah: Elder statesman and Northern Leader, Prof Ango Abdullahi, an octogenarian convener of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) bemoaned what he called the “excesses of the present generation, saying ‘it is time to decide whether to keep the country together or whether to disband it so that everybody can go in peace”. In pangs of regrets, he said the founding fathers must be shifting uneasily in their graves at what the nation has turned to. He blamed the elite for the squandering of the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the sexagenarian nation. He spoke on the diversity of Nigeria, and the predisposition towards disintegration. He said the current security measures to keep the country one is misplaced and wild- goosing. “Do they care about the root causes of the agitations?”, he intoned.
Finally, he gave his nod for the carving out of Biafra out of Nigeria, advising that clamping down on the agitators of the separatist enclave without addressing the root causes is delusionary and futile. He spoke with CHIDI OBINECHE
It is for the elite to be responsible once more. The crises in Nigeria have to do with the elite. They are irresponsible. It is not the ordinary Nigerians that have created the problems for us. It is the elite. When the elite who are supposed to know, by virtue of their advantages in education and everything else, choose not to toe the path of decency and good moral standards, then there will be no solution.
Does it then mean Nigeria will keep going like this?
No. it cannot keep going like this. It will get to a point where it will stop and then we disintegrate. That is the direction it is going now. You can feel it. It is very palpable. It is very sad indeed. The founding fathers will be restless in their graves. They have laboured for us. They got nothing in return except the honours we give them. We keep honouring them because of what they did. But there is nobody who is going to honour our generation because we have done nothing. We are quarrelling among ourselves because of our self interests.
But the current regime is battling to ensure that there is no integration?
Battling what?
There is an ongoing security onslaught, especially in the South-East, to clamp down on agitators for a separatist state of Biafra.
This is where people misunderstand this term ‘security’. Security for what? Is it done physically? Are they looking at the causes of the agitation? Are they interested in the root causes? When you’re sick and go to the hospital, the doctor will not just give you medicine and say take this, this is for you. He will ask questions. What is happening to you? How is it doing you? The questions and answers will determine the root cause of your problem. Then, his prescription will be right and it will fight the problem or illness. That is not what we are doing in this case. We work from the answer to the question. For me, I have given up.
But the country has to be rescued one way or another…
Oh well, we are looking forward to that magic day. My younger brother Kingibe spoke the other day. That is why I say that it is the elite that are responsible for the problems of Nigeria.
Who wrote the constitution of Nigeria? It is the British and we the elite that wrote it. Were we not the ones who did it? And we decided in our own thinking at the time that we should insert certain provisions that Nigeria is indissoluble, is indivisible, whatever, whatever, whatever, as if we were not the ones who created this.
And we forgot the history of countries that started as one and ended as many. India started as one and ended up as four. Soviet Union, only some years ago was a super power. They are now 11 countries. So what is so sacrosanct about any country deciding to take another look at itself and decide what to do?. That is why I am amazed at what is unfolding today. That is why I told the vice president, Osinbajo I support Biafra when he called us for discussions. He said to me, ‘Prof Ango, what is your view’? I said, ‘Mr Vice President, with due respect, I support Biafra’. He was shocked. He said again, ‘you support Biafra?’, I said, “Why not”? He did not expect it from me. This is a people who want self determination, and the United Nations charter has made it absolutely clear that people should have the right for self determination So, if indeed it is true that Biafrans want to have self –determination by having a separate country out of Nigeria, why not? All we need to do is to work out the modalities and have a referendum as it happened in Sudan. It is very clear,
https://www.sunnewsonline.com/prof-ango-abdullahi-i-support-biafra/ Why do the dumbass fools in Ohanaeze who foolishly claim educational advantage over northern region not being able to articulate the issue of Biafra and Nigeria as Prof Ango Abdullahi? I only disagreed with Prof Ango Abdullahi on the issue of referendum. No country on earth has ever been created as a result of referendum. |

Few days back it was a northern coalition going to court to ask the court to order the National Assembly to promulgate a law that would allow referendum for Biafrans.
Today it is Prof Ango Abdullahi re-echoing same sentiments.
The north seems to be accepting the reality of Biafran exit. Only Wastern zombies and Tinubu online cretins and urchins are still living in denial.
With that said, I want to thank the north for starting to lend their voice to our quest for referendum but I need to restate for the umpteenth time that Biafra is not just the 5 Southeast states.
Biafra is the entire Old Eastern region that covers Abia, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa.
With the Anioma people of Delta state.
The Igbanke people of Edo state.
The Igbo people of Enugu and Anambra that were erroneously carved into Kogi state.
And the Izzi and Umuezekoha people that were erroneously carved into Benue state.
No more, no less!
Yagazie! You have spoken well, pal. |

What is the essence of snapping the pictures of those who had voted? Is there any algorithm to match fingerprint with facial picture? |
