The most accommodating people in nigeria are the Ijaws......

Those who have travelled to and have stayed Ijaw land will aknowledged and attest to it......

Ijaws are created by God in his likening.......

Ijaws loved other tribe people as themselves......
Ijaws accommodate even more than the Yorubas,,,,,,by this, I mean the habit of accommodating.....

Ijaws are the only people on earth who are giving hospitality to an unknown strangers......

When one travelling to Ijaw land or through Ijaw territories to another place and got stranded on the way, Ijaw will always accommodate such person and gave him or her food to eat to the satisfaction if narrated his or her mission......

today, there are lots of Hausas, Igbos, Yorubas, Fulanis, Urhobos, Itshekiris, Isokos, Ikweres, Benins etc living happily in free buildings and occupying free lands for many years without paying rent fees.........no one has harassed them because they all doing their legitimate businesses.....

even now as I'm talking some Hausa men picking condemned irons are living in my grandfather's house......

Ijaws good accommodating attribute proved they are from heaven......
I guess a person should have lands in order to accommodate others. Ijaw do not have land. I shall not be fooled to be accommodated in a wooden canoe. grin grin

Anybody who remotely sees Nigeria as none tribal entity is a committed fool. Nigeria is the only space in the world where people rejoice on the murder of the compatriots simply those killed did not hail from the same ethnicity. Nigeria is a waste.

Politics › Re: Sit-At-Home: Ohanaeze Hails Ipob’s Decision by Idiko1: 2:54pm On Nov 05, 2021
valentineuwakwe:
Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has commenced the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, for cancelling the sit-at-home earlier scheduled to take effect from tomorrow, November 5 to November 10, 2021.

DAILY POST reports that the IPOB had in a statement on Thursday by its spokesman, Comrade Emma Powerful, announced that the one-week sit-at-home was cancelled following interventions from eminent religious and traditional leaders from the South-East.

It also urged Anambra voters to go all out on Saturday and cast their ballot.

Reacting, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, hailed the IPOB for once again heeding the voice of reason.

In a statement signed by the President-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he said the development was in the best interest of the entire Igboland.

“We are delighted over the cheering news that the IPOB has cancelled the one-week sit-at-home, which we earlier said would be of great consequence on the entire Igboland.

“It is a thing of joy that the IPOB has finally looked at the larger picture by cancelling this action. Although it came, it is still better than never.

“We commend the Uchenna Madu-led Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, for standing firm over the Saturday’s Anambra Governorship election.

“At this point, we re-echo our appeal to our people to go out en-mass and cast their ballot for their preferred candidate in the Anambra guber election,” Okwu said.

Bunch of suckers in the current Ohanaeze cannot be the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization. The goons have sold their soul on materialism. If IPOB does not march ahead with stern retribution to any bagger who attempted to circumvent the sit-at-home, I shall wash my hands off the group. In addition in any given society, the circumvention of order to carry out civil disobedience attracts harsh culpability.

You don't judge result always you judge intentions also yes Ojukwu was a misfit for the tax but he had a good heart and intentions thats what matters most we winning the war could not really have been the best interest while other soldiers did not support secession so you see it boils down to yes Ojukwu mistakenly led to more casualties but then it happened and it happened but still at the time he was young and thought what he was doing is for the best
Ojukwu was a soldier therefore good heart or intentions is a complete second fiddle to a tactical combatant. I had humanly confronted Ojukwu about his tactics on the months which followed the declaration of Biafra.

What I'm saying is, it is obvious that if APC wins that it daylight robbery but then we shouldn't think it cant happen, but should Soludo win, he should decamp to either APC or PDP, no one really care about these party stuff in Nigeria, this island party system is making Igbo politicians look like paperweight how can former governors of Kano abd Lagos carry excessively more power than Anambra while they are all regional financial capitals
"Daylight robbery" or not, no party win electoral polls without the electorate. If the sit-at-home is strictly observed, the election in Anambra State shall be declared uncontested, period.

What a silly stream of thought? Azikwe and Ojukwu did not and never fought for Ndigbo. Ndigbo had undertaken their struggle by themselves without any figurehead fighting for them.

I don't care if APC or PDP we are back at the master plan. APGA was being an Island which is not what the Igbos need. Anambra state is too important to be insignificant.

APGA is neither an opposition nor a ruling party if APC can't take it, PDP should take it for all I care.

People calling APC Fulani party are bereft of the mutual Respect between the Fulanis and the Igbo, they said we led the first coup and we said they led the counter coup, we both agreed it was a draw game.

The Civil war was spearheaded by majority of middle belt and Western Nigeria as at the time of the war, Core North was so devastated with the result of the Coup.

Whether Anambra is APC or not, the Fulanis knows better not to rattle the Igbos. Now that we could have 3 APC Igbo governors, albeit one is a supremo, I think APC ticket could be contestible by now, I still love Soludo though if Anambra becomes APC it is better for us but Soludo is better for state development.

Igbo President or Vice 2023, is a goal, thanks IPOB for bringing Igbos closer to the center and closer together, I'm really proud of You and even Fulanis really admire you guys. Even the battalion stationed in Anambra is a statement. GO ON WITH ONE NIGERIA some people would get back to begging for the secession clause soon. Araba/Arewa and Oduduwa you go nowhere.

Sit-at-home is no longer in the hands of IPOB. It has become adopted civil disobedience by Ndigbo. Sit-at-home, sit-in or sit-tight is internationally acceptable tactic to the organized protesters. IPOB is legally free to incorporate civil disobedience in its armory to actualize Republic of Igboland or Biafra.

If IPOB could not continue the civil disobedience such as sit-at-home in order to disrupt the election organized by the Fulani government of Nigeria in Anambra State, it is safe to say the group is not serious about the actualization of Biafra. The only thing which could stop the mode of action you have embarked to see through to Biafra is death. Self-Determination is a life and death commitment and not suited for lily-levered and loudmouthed goons. I should be embarrassingly disappointed if the alleged communique is remotely true.

We are all Biafrans, but history is repeating itself upside down what happened with IPOB is second Biafran war, most times becuase I have many friends whom I used to jokingly call Biafran heads, I tell them we need a change of strategy and ask ourselves really in solitude, is Biafra the fastest way out of these whole Choas and are we the one in most need of Nigeria's breakup.

The War Started with IPOB having majority of the Biafran territories, first was PH, after sometimes PH fell to federal troops, second was Imo and after sometimes Imo fell to national troops, Enugu had never been a heated battle ground becuase Biafran strategy was not really about dividing Nigeria otherwise the biggest offensive could have been stationed in Enugu, Nsukka to be more precise.

The battle for Onitsha had always been the fiercest, I read about the 8 months battle at one time Biafran fighters blew up the Niger Bridge, facts remains that some Biafrans like us would always respect the promise of our parents, "Never take up arms against the Federal troops" the words federal is in bold but they did not promise to not take up arms at all.

What you seen in the past few days is the repeat of the battle for Onitsha and not only have Onitsha fallen to federal troops it could as well fall to the broom party.

But all is well ladies and gentlemen all is well, we are waiting for Araba to try to secede and we are waiting for Oduduwa to try to secede, that's when you will see that the devil among us are taking some naps,

My heart goes out to aggrieved Biafrans it doesn't feel good to be bullied, not listened to even when you are the one chocking and it do feel like no one is watching, apparently God is watching and don't give up he who laughs last laughs best.
Seriously, are you Okay? What kind of phantom war you seemed to strategize?

Atiku, you did yourself a world of good by choosing wives from all corners of Nigeria. I can say without equivocation that marriage is far from nation state. You can be great In-law to Ndigbo and overly welcome to the Republic of Igboland. In fact, you could be granted citizenship in Igboland too however the need of self determination by Ndigbo outweighs everything the shithole called could offer. You can seek the phantom unity with people who do not see the evil in the silly One- Nigeria but Ndigbo.
Politics › Re: The Military Ranks Of Past Heads Of State In Nigeria Before They Assumed Power by Idiko1: 9:15am On Nov 05, 2021
Businesslist:
There were not many military leaders who were Generals in the Army before they became heads of states in Nigeria. Some were Colonels, Brigadier Generals, and only a sparse number were Major- Generals.

Before going any further, it is necessary to be acquainted with senior ranks in the Nigerian army. Starting from the lowest, they are: 2nd Lieutenant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, and General.

During the Military regime in Nigeria, there were a total number of eight heads of state. They include: Aguiyi Ironsi, Yakubu Gowon, Murtala Mohammed, Olusegun Obasanjo, Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha and Abubakar Abdusalam.

Listed below are the past Heads of states in Nigeria and their military ranks:

1. Major General Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi:

Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi joined the Nigerian regiment in 1842 as a private with the seventh battalion. In 1965, he rose to the rank of a Major General.

He became the military head of state in January 1966 and was killed during a coup in July that same year.

2. Lieutenant Colonel Yakubu Gowon:

Yakubu Gowon was commissioned as a second Lieutenant in the Army on the 19th October 1955, his 21st birthday. He became a Lieutenant Colonel in 1966 before he became the head of state. However, by virtue of his political post, he was promoted later to the rank of General.

3. Brigadier General Murtala Mohammed:

Murtala Mohammed was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in October 1971. He was a part of the coup that brought in Yakubu Gowon, and although he wanted to occupy the post at that time, he was a junior.

He became the head of state in 1975, until his assassination in 1976.

4. Major General Olusegun Obasanjo:

Olusegun Obasanjo enlisted in the Nigerian Army in March 1958 due to his family's inability to send him to the university. He served as head of state in Nigeria from 1976 to 1979 before relinquishing power to civilian government.

5. Major General Muhammadu Buhari:

In 1963, at age 20 he was commissioned a second lieutenant and appointed platoon commander of the second infantry battalion. He later became head of state in 1983.

6. Major General Ibrahim Babangida:

During the regime of Muhammadu Buhari, Babangida became a Major General in the army. He later became head of state in 1985 until his resignation in 1993.

7. General Sani Abacha:

Sani Abacha served as military head of state from 1993 until his death in 1998. According to Wikipedia, in 1993, he became the first Nigerian Army officer to attain the rank of a full military General without skipping a single rank.

8. General Abdusalaami Abubakar:

He was initially in the Nigerian Air force before joining the Nigerian Army. He became head of state a day after the death of Sani Abacha in 1998.

The bolded in green should not have been officers in the army if nepotistic tendencies of the government led by Abubakar Tafawa Balewa were sensitized. The goon in red should not have made Lt Col in 1966 if his uncle was not Minister of Defense. I sensed nepotism again.

Biafrarep:
You're not even understanding the entire picture and that's where the problem is. If there is lockdown, do you think it will be 100% effective on election day? Of course not! The APC goons will use the police and army sent to Anambra to protect a few centres, particularly their strongholds while they will cause disturbances in other areas to discourage voters from coming out. Now, the polling units and voters cards of most places that had little or no turnout will be thumb printed en mass for APC, with scarcely anyone monitoring them due to lockdown, they will cook arbitrary figures for themselves.

Even if only 5000 people voted in Anambra on Saturday, they will manipulate the figures to 500,000.
If any election in Anambra State produces a mere 500,000 ballots, which shall not be concentrated on one candidate, then there was no valid election. There shall be no election in Anambra State if sit-at-home order is lightly observed. in Imo State, there was no sit-at-home order yet the Fulani and APC usurped the gubernatorial position and disenfranchised the electorates in the state.

Biafrarep:
I'm really sorry for what is about to unravel in Anambra. Just like what happened in Imo State, the most unpopular and most incompetent person is about to be rigged in.

This is going to be the most easily rigged election in history. With the sit-at-home that is being pushed ahead, these goons working in tandem with the electoral officials and with support of Abuja and law enforcement agencies will allocate arbitrary figures to themselves and the unpopular and most incompetent candidate will be declared winner.

There is no doubt that Soludo would win by a landslide if the elections are to hold in a free and fair atmosphere. There is also no doubt that he will build on what is already on ground to lift Anambra to greater heights. But sadly, all that is going to be a mirage.
I guess most Nigerians have serious drawback in acts of comparison. If the sit-at-home is observed, it means there shall be no election in Anambra State. In the other hand in Imo State, so-called election was conducted and poll's results announced. How could you rig election when there is no polling activities? If electorates in Anambra State did not come out to vote, there is no election period.

SlyDev:
The first book in the Igbo language (Isoama-Ibo: A Primer) was written by a Yoruba man, Rev Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther (1809-1891) in 1857.

The book had 17 pages, with the Igbo alphabet, words, phrases, sentence patterns, the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and translations of the first chapters of Matthew's Gospel.

In 1882, Crowther also wrote the "Vocabulary of the Ibo Language", the first comprehensive dictionary in Igbo.

Crowther was the grandfather of Herbert Olayinka Macaulay (1864-1946), founder of Nigeria's first political party, whose father, Thomas Babington Macaulay (1826-1878), founded the first secondary school in Nigeria in 1859.
Please shut up your putrid mouth. Samuel Crowther, a Sierra Leonean returnee, did not write an Igbo Primer. When and where did a claimed Yoruba dude come in contact with Igbo language talk less of writing any crap in Igbo?
