It is certain that Christ came into this sinful and perverse world, in order to save and deliver humanity from the power and consequences of sin. [Matt.1:21].
He was sent into this world so as to bring everlasting life, thereby making it possible for us to escape the wrath to come(that lies in hell). [John3:16, Rom.5:9].

This is the primary purpose of Christ's coming.

As followers and contemporary disciples of Christ, we ought to walk even as Christ walked, we ought to follow Christ even as the early disciples did.[1John2:6].
We are to put ourselves in the shoes of those disciples and listen to the words, doctrine and commandments of Christ.

On the other hand, we need to understand that, there are doctrines, patterns and traditions that are unscriptural, nomatter their level of acceptance in our society today.

Jesus talked about the broad way that leads to destruction and He told us that Majority(as against the Minority on the narrow way) are already on the broad way.[Matt.7:13].
[JUST TRYING TO POINT OUT TO US, THAT THE MAJORITY IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT].

Christ, understanding the relevance of His mission and having full knowledge of all the events that characterised and would eventually characterise His stay on earth, CHOSE THE CELEBRATION OF HIS DEATH TO THE CELEBRATION OF HIS BIRTH.

He commanded His discipled to celebrate and remember His death- a period during which His body was crucified and His blood shed for the remission of the sins of mankind.

The disciples were to celebrate and remember this remarkale and most significant event of Christ's life [HIS DEATH] by partaking in the Lord's Supper[The Holy Communion or Eucharist]. [Luke22:14-20].

WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT;
-CHRIST WAS BORN TO DIE.
-HIS DEATH WAS THE REASON FOR HIS BIRTH.
This was what mattered the most to Him(as well as to His disciples) -His death and not His birth.

HIS BIRTH would have been useless to humanity without HiS DEATH because the efficacy of His precious blood that was shed during His death, wouldn't have been made manifest.

In addition, you want to agree with me, that the Christmas period, that you and I have come to know has never been a period of sober reflection, when people have a kind of Spiritual-Check, trying to find out why Christ really came and how His coming had impacted their lives, instead it has always been a period of merry-making.

Moreso, Christmas is a recyled Idolatrous event (Check encyclopedias to verify), think about 'the santa', 'the xmas tree' and others you would want to ask yourself the link between these and so many more to the celebration of Christ's birth.
You want to ask if this is scriptural or not.

What is it based on? 2yrs ago when GMB was sitting down at home why wasn't he working on his supposed islamisation project? I am very sure our discussion started on this trend. You quoted my response here on another trend (about wife beating) like twice. I remember I made a comment that we are not on this trend anymore. So, I quoted your response on that trend here to bring the discussion back here. So about interpretation and translation in relation to the link you provided, I have no idea what you mean since I didnt follow the discussion from the scratch.

About the analogy you gave, thats nice. I will react to it in the context of having sex with slaves ignoring the war part. Permission to have sex with someone does mean it is a must you have sex with them. It means one can do it. And if one wants to, then it must be according to the guidelines of having sex in Islam. And out of the guidlines of having sex in Islam, rape is not there. Permission to have sex with ones wife is granted in Islam, this doesn't mean the permission to rape ones wife. It simply mean you follow the procedure of having intercourse with the wife.

Permission to kill halal animals id granted in Islam. But we dont kill them anyhow, we follow the procedure for killing animals. In short, permission to do something is not the permission to abuse it in Islam.

Slavery the people in the old testament practice is different from nowadays slavery,example when Jacob volunteer to help his uncle in exchange for a woman he love ,bible still called it slavery, God himself set law to guide those who volunteers to work for there master ;

By Him in Whose Hands my soul is as soon as he lowered his hands, clouds gathered like mountains, and before he got down from the pulpit, I saw the rain falling on the beard of the Prophet. It rained that day, the next day, the third day, the fourth day till the next Friday. The same Bedouin or another man stood up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! The houses have collapsed, our possessions and livestock have been drowned; Please invoke Allah (to protect us)". So the Prophet I raised both his hands and said, "O Allah! Round about us and not on us". So, in whatever direction he pointed with his hands, the clouds dispersed and cleared away, and Medina's (sky) became clear as a hole in between the clouds. The valley of Qanat remained flooded, for one month, none came from outside but talked about the abundant rain

Another miracle is splitting of the moon “The hour has drawn near and the moon has split asunder. And if they see a sign they turn away, saying, ‘Just more trickery!’ They call it deceit and follow their fancies, while all things are pre-determined.” (surat al-Qamar, 54, v.1-3)...And there re other miracles
