Culture › Re: Women Want To Be Men, We Can’t Be Equal – Ooni Of Ife’s Wife by Ifebazz(m): 10:02am On Jun 19, 2016 |
yettidear: I think the Queen should have taken time to research this topic before flying all the way to US. She heard gender-equality and she took the word 'equality' literally. We need to really be educated on the topic.
According to my quick research on the topic,"gender equality is the measurable equal representation of women and men. Gender equality does not imply that women and men are the same, but that they have equal value and should be accorded equal treatment. The United Nations regards gender equality as a human right".
As for gender equity, "it is the process of allocating resources, programs and decision-making fairly to both males and females. This requires ensuring that everyone has access to a full range of opportunities to achieve the social, psychological and physical benefits that come from participating and leading in sport and physical activity. It does not necessarily mean making the same programs and facilities available to both males and females. Gender equity requires that girls and women be provided with a full range of activity and program choices that meet their needs, interests and experiences".
See the links below for more info on the topic; http://www.caaws.ca/gender-equity-101/what-is-gender-equity/ http://www.ippf.org/static/GenderReport/index.html So who has been denying them those in Nigeria? Apart from the Muslims and their cultures that support such division what are your actual claims that have not been in place courtesy of Nigeria constitution? Is there any legal documents that alienates women based on gender? |

CallMeBIRA: Nice speech but I feel the bill should focus on giving equal opportunities as men in any field of study and employers should stop trying to get into the pants of ladies before giving them jobs and ladies, please before you talk abt equality you have to build yourself up adequately, thank you. In a previous thread bordering around this same topic, I asked a simple question that the feminists and overcivilized men are yet to answer me. What careers do men have undue advantage over women just because they're women? Name just ONE. You concluded very well, you have to update yourself to be at par with me to vie for same opportunities. That is what the lazy feminists are always intentionally overlooking. |

banmee: You've never lived in Africa/Nigeria. I can tell. Women in Nigeria are often treated as slaves. A man could beat the living shiit outta a woman and nothing would happen. A man can decide tomorrow to tell his wife to leave his house for any reason imaginable and nothing would happen. Abi i lie? Yes you lied. I have lived in Nigeria for most part of my life, I don't see women treated as slaves except she is into sadomasochism or BDSM. Yes men get physical sometimes, but that is not peculiar to just Nigeria or Africa alone. If women were fighting for inheritance issues, female genital mutilation, domestic violence etc it would be a lot more logical. But just a minute, what do these feminists really want? That women should start wearing trousers or that women should start paying groom price? |

goodman3: Good day!..... I believe there are Christians in here. I am here to speak on an issue which I have taken time to think through. I see a lot of christian folks in the medical profession and most times I ask what they are doing there. Every medical doctor is under an oath which Its origin is not fully known. Before u can be a doctor, u will have to swear the HIPPOCRATIC OATH......on the day of your INDUCTION. in the Christian faith, it was clearly stated that swearing of any form is not allowed and considered a sin. Why then do I see Christians in medical school? Are they not aware of this OATH? Or did they just choose to turn a blind eye to the truth? The medical profession has always been like a cult since the days of Hippocrates. It was initially designed with knowledge of secrets of the practice that should only be passed down to children of physicians in the olden days. Medical practise actually started like a brotherhood/cult.....the medical logo says it all(a snake wrapping a cross).....my point here is anybody who calls himself a true Christian cannot become a medical doctor without SIN (TAKING THE OATH).
So my dear Christian friends, are you really for God or do you choose to go against his instruction just because you want to enjoy the gains of being a medical doctor?.......THATS BEING A HIPPOCRITE! What have you been smoking? Just say the truth, it will set you free from this deficiency in brain cells. |

TheGoodJoe: I watched the Kachikwu vs Amaechi video going viral online and I see majority supporting Kachikwu's point. Continuing the project.
I disagree because the Fraud is too much. Hon. Amaechi proved in Rivers State that he can achieve befitting projects when he has the money.
Hon. Amaechi’s point: "I am not against the University. I hope you people appreciate that. My argument about Okerenkoko is that the land alone is N13 billion. That N13 billion has built the university already so there is no need to spend more money. Let EFCC retrieve the money from them and then release them and we would build the University."
I do not understand what is wrong in this statement. The money is enough to purchase the land and build the University. The point is clear. Continuing with the project means supporting a monumental fraud.
Hon. Kachikwu's point: “First let me say on Maritime University, I disagree with the minister of transport. Any facility that is placed in the south south, we should work towards developing it. I don’t care the circumstances under which we are placed… It is not my position to determine whether land was valued at N19 billion or N10 billion or N3 billion. The appropriate institutions which are the court systems will determine that."
I do not understand what people are applauding in this statement. Is Hon. Amaechi against the Maritime University? No. Amaechi clearly stated that when he retrieves the money, he will build the University.
Kachikwu said he is not in position to determine the valuation of the land. Please, this is ridiculous. We ars talking of the valuation of the project.
Amaechi is saying that the money is enough to buy the land and build the university. A minister should be able to value a project.
Amaechi was right and I wonder why people is celebrating Kachikwu's point. This is a case of stopping a fraud. Going on with the project is detrimental to the development of the project.
Below are pics of an Hon. Amaechi project which was close to the cost for just the land for this University project. Golf Estate Port-Harcourt. The reason why 'people is' applauding Kachikwu is that it will take the EFCC about 5 years to recover the money given our judiciary system and by then, Amaechi would be a former minister of transportation. kayfra: The Minister of Power, Work and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Tuesday, expressed shock at the destruction of public properties by Nigerians who also yearn for better service from government.
Fashola expressed his frustration while speaking on Thursday at the Buharimeter town hall meter in Abuja.
The Minister also said the Ajaokuta steel plant is embroiled in legal suits hence government can do little at the moment.
“Yes, there is no power. But it does not mean there is no capacity to produce power. In February, we were able to meet 5,000 megawatts.”
“When you have an idea how extensive the pipeline network is and how they must pass through land.”
“I don’t know any country that wants to have electricity that destroys its electricity infrastructure.”
“People have even begun to remove bolts and nuts from tracks that had been laid for rail.”
“There will be a time when we can not rely on gas solely. We think that methods, planning and coordination will take us to the society we want to live in.”
“As far as security is concerned, there is a new wave of global criminality going on. The existing security machinery put in place after the second world war takes care of conventional warfare. It’s a new global learning curve for everybody.”
http://ynaija.com/nigerians-want-electricity-also-destroy-power-infrastructure-fashola/ Fashola is just stupid. Any serious minded government should provide stable power supply in six months - Fashola. Why is he surprised and complaining? Did the previous administration not have same challenges? Martins301: Dele Momodu likes to talk from all sides of his mouth. You spend time composing an epistle as long as river Nile and then fill it with half truths and over generalizations.
For your information sir, the WHOLE country never accepted Jonathan's defeat in good fate. If they did can you explain the sudden agitations from the SE region that has plagued the government since May 29 2015?
Am quite sure you are aware that recent militant activities are an offshoot of those same agitations but you won't say so.
The government has made meaningful progress in keeping to it's mandate. It has beefed up security (applicants no longer pay to apply for government vacancies) and also commenced implementation of it's social intervention programs.
What I expect you to do is write an even longer epistle asking all those who have stolen and stashed our foreign exchange in their bedrooms and faraway lands and banks to return the money. Tell those who are painful losers to accept defeat magnanimously and pray for Nigeria's progress and stop being a peddler of lies and bad omen. Why don't you go and tell them yourself? I reckon they'd hearken to your words. |

Business › Re: Rules Of Using The Atm Machine And Atm Card. by Ifebazz(m): 7:46am On Jun 06, 2016 |
Mrsblizztech: I compiled some rules and regulations on using the atm based on my experience and how you won't be a victim of atm error or fraudsters. You can also add yours 1. Avoid Atms that have bad reputation. If an ATM <Automated Teller Machine> has a bad history like not dispensing cash but your acct. Gets debited, run from it, go to the next one. 2. Avoid Atms that takes for ever to load each button; some atms are so frustrating to the extent that each button you press takes at least two minutes to load. Avoid these atms as they may "eat" your atm card or not dispense cash after several minutes of waiting. 3. Beware of juju(charm) users: after withdrawing your money, never allow anyone to cajole you into helping them withdraw cos they claim they don't know how to use the atm most of them are scammers. A'v seen a situation where a girl came to withdraw 60k from the atm as she was going, a man on the next atm called her to help him withdraw cos he didn't know how to use the atm. After helping the man withdraw, the man thanked her and left. It was until after the man left that she realized the man had calmly removed the money from her hand bag while she was hypnotized. Avoid these people 4.ATM BEGGaRS: they are always at the entrance of where the atm is situated, ready to tell your their life history how they need money to buy jamb form, to treat their relative in the hospital e.t.c Majority of them are Finebaras and Pickpockets.
5.Learn how to use your atm card and atm machine. Don't give your atm card to a stranger to help you withdraw simply because you are way behind on a long queue and the stranger is using the <automated teller machine>presently. The stranger might collect important information on your atm card like the atm card number, name, expiry date and the 3 numbers at the back of the atm card and this are just required to shop online. So in order for you not to be sitting at home planning on what you wanna buy and you getting debit alert which you don't know about, comply with these rules. Peace out I've fallen for number 4 at First Bank, under bridge Ikeja. |
