Kanu Nwakwo graduated from secondary school in Owerri in 1989 but he claimed he was 16 during Under 17 World Cup in Japan 1993. All these Nigerians and African players need to stop cheating.

All these nd odas coming in future are calculated plans by America to 'invade' nigeria like they did to iraq.
All these r because of Niger Delta Oil.

PoliticsRe: GEJ Should Be Impeached - LA Times Joel Brinkley by ifebosco: 4:00pm On Mar 26, 2013
pro01: Someone should kindly tell me how GEJ's (2 year) administration is worse than OBJ's eight years in power. I have since concluded that shallow people (which describes many of the most vocal critics of the present administration) hate GEJ not necessarily for his actions or inactions, but because of his person and persona.

(Un)fortunately, GEJ is not as rambunctious, belligerent, swashbuckling, untamed, and uncouth as Obasanjo, which makes him seem less exciting and therefore 'worse'. It's all a matter of perception; groundless perception based on appearances rather than substance.

How, in cold facts and figures, is corruption - all forms of corruption - worse under GEJ than it was under Obasanjo? Nigeria earned the highest revenues in her history during Obasanjo's eight wasted years in power. How did that tell on our lives? Were the roads better under OBJ than they are now? Was the power supply better than it is now? Were our hospitals better equipped? Was there greater infrastructural development under OBJ than now? Was there less wastage of public funds under OBJ than now? Was the Rule of Law better observed under OBJ than it is under GEJ? Was general insecurity any less under OBJ than it is today (minus the emergent Boko Haram phenomenon, which sensible people realise is a political ploy to return power to the north)? Was the public service more efficient under OBJ than it is now? Most importantly, did Nigerians have more food on their tables under OBJ than they have today under GEJ (despite the fact that the country earned more courtesy of record crude oil prices during OBJ's eight years)? What then, is the basis for maligning GEJ as the worst thing to happen to Nigeria? Could it be merely because of his unpretentious appearance and underwhelming personality? Or could it be because of his unfashionable trademark hat? Because of his perceived lack of 'swagger'? Is that enough to justify so much baseless hate?

Do you so easily forget that the highest number of politically motivated assassinations occurred under Obasanjo, and ALL of them (including the murder of a serving Minister of Justice/Attorney-General) remain unresolved?

Again, how can anyone forget that political corruption, which is arguably worse than financial corruption, was elevated to official state practice under Obasanjo? In Nigeria's political history, has there been any election worse than the 2003 and 2007 general elections conducted by Obasanjo? Compare that with GEJ's demonstrable resolve not to tamper with electoral processes - which has seen the freest and fairest elections in Nigeria's history take place under him (e.g. Edo, Ondo, Anambra, Imo, etc). Gradually, the phenomenon of election-rigging is becoming extinct, primarily because GEJ refuses to endorse such, even to his own party's detriment. Can you say the same for OBJ?

Have we forgotten how Obasanjo sought to ALTER the constitution to prolong his stay in power through a dubious third term provision? Is that brazen act of political corruption not infinitely worse than pardoning a penitent convicted man?

I can go on and on, but the imperative of brevity constrains me. The fact is that we cannot judge GEJ in isolation. He had predecessors, and if we cannot prove how his administration is worse than those of his predecessors (especially OBJ), then we have serious issues indeed.
why compare him to his oga at the top??we need a preisident to tackle our problems, not to be friends to our greatest enemy, which is corruption

ceaz4r: A very big shame on the security organisations we have in this country! If MEND, Bokoharam, can acquire this level of training, and coordinate attacks with amazing level of precision with their comparatively little resources, why can't the Nigerian security, with the full backing of the national resources & might, gather good intelligence! Why is this country paying lip service & playing politics with security!! I 'walked-in' at the NIA office in Abuja to enlist and what the agent I met could tell me (in confidence) was, the best bet for me to become an Agent is to bring a high powered letter from a member of the Nat. Assembly! And I asked myself, even when you decide to take up a job as dangerous as being a Spy in Nigeria, you still need a god-father?!

Clerverly: So so on point! Look I am a thorough-bred-Igbo man, but when it comes to Nigerian politics we dont cut it and with the present kind of leaders we are unfortunate to be bestowed on by the products of corruption from the centre, We would never be there, at least for the foreseeable future. It pains and my heart bleeds for the so called youth from my place cos it seems, we have not learned anything from the misdeeds of these Abuja contractors, who are only interested in what comes to their family and lineage without giving a damn what their people intends to benefit. The same set of people would come back and play the ethnic card when they are being outsmarted in their vainglory in Abuja. Surprising, the youth of the Igbos who are "assumed" to be intelligent enough to decipher when deceit is being played, would be the first to buy that and start playing the victims. My Igbo brothers and sisters on this forum, can we ask ourselves these probing questions below and try to reflect on them before we decide where to pitch our tent in 2015;

Why do the Igbo always support any government in power (Shagari, Babangida, Abacha, OBJ,Yardua and GEJ, I stand to be corrected on these)?no sentiment, free mind

Why are the Igbos only remembered during electioneering periods?

Why do we have the worst road network in whole of the country and yet we have supported any Government that had ruled?

Why did we allow PDP to rig these characters into the helm-of-affairs in our respective states notably Elechi and T A Orji?

What is our stand or the so -called stick and carrot approach in 2015?

What has the present government at the center done for us to warrant us supporting it in 2015.

lovethokoh: see more proof that northerners are richer than other Nigerians
https://www.nairaland.com/1199280/northerners-richer-than-all-other#14373185

i have been arguing lately with my friends about this topic, and i believed that the southerners are richer, until one of us came out with a vital data about the wealth of the Northerners.

1 The police pension DG is worth N23b Nigeria

2 Alhaji Abdulrashid Maina is worth N88b

3 IBB is worth over $2billion

4 Abacha is worth over $3Billion

5 Dangote is worth over $12b as the Richest African

4 Ishaiku Rabiu and sons are worth over $5b

6 Dantata is worth over $1b

The most critical of the data goes this way

7 the North has more LGA's infact Kano alone has 44 LGA's and so the North Receives more Allocation for development

8 The North Has more people in the federal civil service and so they earn more salaries

9 The North has more Men in Army,Navy,Airforce,Police, Immigration, customs and Other Federal parastatals due to quota system and so earn more salary.

10 They have more senators and House of Reps and therefore Get more constituency Money,Bribery etc

11 they have more politicians and so more money for them...

12 they own 83% of oil blocs in Nigeria
this are thesame elites in the north, their money will never help the poor man in the streets.
our elites and the political class are wicked people from south to north.

KenGali: A couple of things really suggest that Okorocha might really be unstable!
Lets assume he even had a cogent reason to join a party that was openly advertising it Northern Agenda,
He handled it like a toddler. His approach was almost like a coup. He behaved like a man so pressed he had to jump in the bush and use the cocoyam leaves.
Did he know how many consultations were made in the West for this merger.
Does he understand that the Northern think tank at Mambala House of Ahmadu Bello University would give this merger serious thought?
He believes he alone can wrestle and represent us in a place he is over whelmingly outnumbered. He must be Ojaadili the great!
He could not even consult his own brother Peter Obi, not to talk of the various strong men of the land.

The question is what exactly does Okorocha hold in a party he has zilch control over? A man who can submerge the late life work of one such as Ojukwu's for a mere promise of positions (In a place he is a junior partner, easily dribbled out) is not worthy to be called a Son! Mind you It is barely a year since Ikemba Passed, And this prodigal son cannot but have his inheritance submerged in a strange identity.
1) southeast governors are from pdp with only rochas and obi from apga, and obi is gej right hand man from the east.so there is no way obi will want to join rochas, even though we know obi politically is a loser in anambra state base on security and infrastructure he did very bad. why should we ask obi to join if we already know he is a loser??what is somebody like ngige or even dora doing?? we don´t have to ask unperformed governor,2)the mega party is for national interest,to have and oposition party in any democracy is not only necessary but obligatory.it´s going to build a stronger democracy.

Why should Rochas of all people join ths anti- Ibo coup by supporting this northern and Yoruba path of enslaving the ibos and the minority south-south. Rochas problem has been overt ambition, understood that he might of been promised certain things but he should know that his identity cannot be denied and as such he is only being used to achieve a political means for these Ofemanus and their northern counterparts.

PoliticsI Will Contest Presidency In 2015 – Buhari Declares by ifebosco(op): 5:21pm On Feb 22, 2013
I will contest presidency in 2015 – Buhari declares

After months of tittle-tattle and gossips over his political aspiration, leader of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Muhammadu Buhari has finally stated that he would not turn down the offer to become the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in 2015.

The retired General who was a guest on a live Hausa programme of DITV, Kaduna on Sunday, revealed that he still has the intention to run for the nation’s number one seat.

On the issue of sharing of national offices and selection of candidates for elective positions, the three-time contender for the presidency assured that APC will follow due process.

“Many people especially from my party are really disturbed. The joyful thing is that I didn’t say I quit politics. I will never quit politics as far as I am live. I only said that I will not present myself to contest but if my party members said they want me to remain in the race. I will.”

“Since I am in the new party as a member, if after consultations they included me among their aspirants, I will not reject their offer. This is what I want people to know. I want people to be patient with what we are doing now. They should allow the merger to succeed first. I am sure the new party leaders will know those that are relevant and saleable to Nigerians electorate,” he said.

Observers say Buhari’s declaration of interest will further unsettle the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, which is closely monitoring development in the new mega party.

Buhari has a demi-god status in the North, especially the eastern and western axis.

With millions of supporters spread across the different states. His party’s alliance with other top opposition platform will no doubt give the ruling PDP sleepless nights in the build up to the next general election.
