how my eyes opened about religion,,,i was raced up in a very strong christian home, 10years ago i brought my parents to spain,(madrid)to live withme for some time and my mother usually goes to church every day for her morning prayers.so while going to church she made her own friends who speaks english.after about two years of attending church everyday she discovered that the church is always full up with people of her age.mostly retired and old people,so my mother one day walked up to the father and ask him this question.father please, why since over two years i have been coming to church and i don´t see many youths on weekly days for church activities??The father told my mother that, the youths are working building the their nation and the old ones are in churchs to beg GOD for forgiveness to their sins,my mother was confused with the answer. two months later i took my parents to visite vatican city,my mother saw with her two eyes how pope and his cardinals enjoylife.my mother cameback from rome more confused and filed betrayed by the so called catholic hierarchy.

PoliticsPresident Jonathan's Economic Advisers Owing Nigeria N1.3 Trillion; CBN Bars Ban by ifebosco(op): 1:26pm On Sep 22, 2012
By SaharaReporters, New York

An explosive Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) circular published today by a local Nigerian newspaper lists some of President Goodluck Jonathan's economic advisers among the country’s worst deadbeat debtors.

Some of the worst offenders are household names: Mr. Femi Otedola, Alhaji Sayyu Dantata, Sir Johnson Arumemi-Ikhide, Prof. Bart Nnaji, Mrs Elizabeth Ebi and Dr. Wale Babalakin.

And businesses too: Zenon, Arik, MRS, Aero Contractors, Capital Oil and Gas, to list just five.

But now local banks are barred from extending even one more kobo of credit to them until they clear all debts.

The big debtors are also among the nation’s richest companies and individuals, and their extensive uncollateralized loans from Nigerian banks to the tune of billions of dollars led to the collapse of the banking sector.

Several of the debtors were also involved in the petroleum subsidy scam that bled the Nigerian economy of some $6.5 billion.

Instead of prosecuting the predatory lenders and borrowers the Jonathan government pushed the problem aside by setting up a bogus body known as the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) to absorb the debts and enable the debtor roam free and engage in more economic crimes.

They apparently roamed far and wide, all 113 companies and 419 directors/shareholders. 419 is the actual number given by the CBN.

The document circular obtained by Thisday, dated last Monday, September 17, showed that the disdain by these rich individuals and companies for their debts has grown so much that the CBN decided to bar banks in the country from extending further credit to them.

“It has become necessary to stop debtors who failed to repay their loans to banks and had these loans subsequently transferred to AMCON, from further enjoying credit facilities from Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) until they fully repay agreed outstandings to AMCON,” said the circular, which was signed by CBN’s Director of Banking Supervision, Mrs. A. O. Martins.

According to ThisDay:

• The circular, which was accompanied by a detailed list of the blacklisted debtors, showed that worst hit by the directive are Zenon Petroleum, owned by Otedola, which was indebted to banks to the tune of N192.4 billion; MRS Holdings Limited, which belongs to Dantata – N119.98 billion; Seawolf Limited – N98.32 billion; Arik Air Limited, belonging to Arumemi-Ikhide – N85.481 billion; NITEL Plc/M-Tel – N71.547 billion; and Capital Oil and Gas Limited, which belongs to Ifeanyi Ubah – N48.014 billion.

• Others include Falcon Securities, whose Managing Director, Mr. Peter Ololo, was arraigned alongside several bank executives in 2009 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) – N162.9 billion; Rockson Engineering Limited, owned by Arumemi-Ikhide – N60.475 billion; BGL Securities – N6.44 billion; Rahamaniyya Oil & Gas Limited – N46.38 billion; Bi-Courtney Limited – N20.214 billion; and Geometrics Engineering, owned by Nnaji – N19.76 billion.

• The restriction also applies to: Aero Contractors Company, owned by the family of Olorogun Michael Ibru - N32.579 billion; Tinapa Business Resort – N18.509 billion; Nestoil Limited, belonging to oil and gas entrepreneur, Ernest Azudialu – N13.506 billion; Dorman Long Engineering – N9.667 billion; Ascott Offshore Nig. Ltd, belonging to former banker, Henry Imasekha and the Berkley Group – N64.728 billion; Gitto Constuzioni – N11.838 billion; and Dansa Foods – N14.880 billion, whose directors, Sani and Abdul Dangote, are the brothers of business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

Furthermore, the banks have also been directed not to grant further credit to two States: Cross River and Zamfara, because of the failure of the Tinapa Business Resort and the Zamfara Accountant General to pay back loans collected.

The Central Bank warned that any bank that flouts the guidelines would be made to make an immediate provision of 100 per cent of total principal and interest outstanding in the account of the customer and related parties, in addition to whatever regulatory penalties the CBN may decide to impose, ThisDay said.
PoliticsDiezani Alison-Madueke's Convoy Kills Journalist In Abuja by ifebosco(op): 9:59pm On Sep 13, 2012
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, has expressed sadness over the death of Mr. James Momoh of Abuja based Pilot Newspapers.

Momoh was knocked down by the convoy of the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, along Nicon Junction, Maitama, late Wednesday evening on his way from work.

Reports indicated that Momoh was taken to the NNPC hospital where he later gave up the ghost after the incident.

In a statement by the Chairman of Council, Comrade Chuks Ehirim, described the death of Momoh, a production staff with the newspaper, as avoidable and unfortunate.

According to Ehirim, the tragic death of Momoh brings to fore the recklessness of government convoys and their absolute disregard for traffic rules and other road users.

The NUJ FCT chairman lamented that the minister has not demonstrated any concern and human feeling for the deceased by reaching out to his relatives. He said she was rather more bothered about protecting her image.

Ehirim warned that the union will not fold its arms and watch government officials treat human lives with levity and called for proper investigation into the matter as well as proper compensation for the bereaved family.

Car TalkNigerians At Risk : Japanese Radioactive Cars In The Market By Chika Ezeanya by ifebosco(op):
Columnist:
Guest Columnist
Over one year has passed since the Japanese tsunami caused about seven nuclear meltdowns at three reactors in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The immediate result was that about 50 km radius of the plant’s range, dangerous radiation rays affected lives and properties.

Initially, there were tight restrictions on the export of products from the nuclear meltdown affected areas by the Japanese government. As time has passed, the restrictions are becoming more relaxed, and now, more and more products with dangerously high levels of radiation are being shipped to several ill-regulated markets. This is most especially the case with used vehicles, which are hardly subjected to the same level of safety testing as brand new vehicles, prior to shipment.

Immediately after the nuclear incident, governments of countries around the world installed radiation testing equipments at the ports of entry. Australian government was among the first to test 700 vehicles in the June of 2011; this testing has continued till date and thousands of cars are tested monthly.

In Chile, port workers and custom agents staged a protest against their government for not immediately destroying 21 vehicles found with traces of radiation. In the view of the Chilean Nuclear Commission, the radiation levels found was not high enough to cause damage to humans. The workers thought otherwise and forced the government to revisit its decision.

In a July 2012 report, Russian government stated that it has so far denied entry to about 300 cars proven to come from the nuclear explosion district and found with very high levels of radiation. The Daily Telegraph of UK not too long ago, reported that fraudulent Japanese used-car dealers were selling vehicles “exposed to dangerously high levels of radiation to unsuspecting buyers.”

Cars having up to twenty times the permissible level of radiation have found their way to African countries where several governments are clueless or unconcerned about such health risks. Governments of Kenya and Tanzania however, are among the few African countries, who, unable to afford the high cost of testing all incoming vehicles have expressly banned the importation of cars from Japan into their markets. Kenyan government went as far as destroying some cars after it hired independent firms to test for radiation levels.

Uganda imports between between 4,000 – 5,000 cars monthly, several of them used. The government of Uganda, concerned about the threat to its citizens sent a delegation to Japan headed by the House committee leader on trade and which included officials of Uganda National Bureau of Standards. The delegations reported upon return that “it was established, through random scientific tests as well as motor vehicle inspection records, that many used motor vehicles destined for export markets from Japan are contaminated with significantly high level of ionizing radiation, way above recommended levels.”

Nigerians buy more used cars than brand new cars, and Japanese cars are the favorite of most first-time and budget car buyers. For the sake of peace of mind, one must desist from thinking of how many radiation drenched cars have already found their way to the Nigerian market. Most radioactive materials settle on the body of the car, windows and seats, and no amount of scrubbing or re-painting or even change of chaircover can remove them.

Radioactive agents are highly carcinogenic. Radiation forms cancerous cells and makes them grow aggressively. Other side effects of radiation include infertility, birth defects and irreversible DNA alterations that exposes future generations to yet-to-be ascertained risks.

Although a little belated, the Nigerian government should immediately release a public statement on the stand of the government towards used Japanese cars, or else the health of Nigerian citizens and residents would no longer be assured. It is suggested that Nigerian government should, as a matter of urgency, join its Kenyan and Tanzanian counterparts in placing a temporary ban on importation of used cars from Japan, until it has acquired equipments to test cars for radiation at the various ports of entry.

The truth is no matter where you are there will always be people not happy with what they have. Different people with different approach to life. Here in Finland I am very ok. In fact I got married few weeks ago and I am happy but there are people here that are yet to buy a car , squatting with friends as no house of there own and talk-less of getting married. So, it goes like that all over the world. There are people living life at its fullest there in Nigeria and there are people suffering. So it's all depends on God's favor I believe. There will always be poor in this world no matter where. As the topic did not say we are comparing Nigeria with where we are so I will speak no further.

Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Sunday announced N10,000 monthly allowance for 1,602 elderly persons in the state.

The governor made the announcement during the inauguration of Osun Elderly Persons Scheme in Osogbo.

Aregbesola said that the scheme, tagged “O’Elders’’, was aimed at assisting aged persons who could no longer fend for themselves.

He stressed that a responsible government and individuals should always strive to take proper care of elderly persons.

Aregbesola stressed that his administration would do everything possible to make old people to “live the rest of their lives in happiness and good health.

“A census of the elderly ones was taken across the state and the most vulnerable ones were selected for the first phase of the scheme.

“Those that need urgent medical attention are undergoing treatment,’’ he added.

Aregbesola promised to implement the scheme in phases and appealed to the people to always to take care of the aged.

The governor directed the beneficiaries to henceforth visit their local government secretariats every month to collect the allowance.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Adebisi Olawoye, the President of the Osun chapter of the Elderly Persons Association of Nigeria, commended the state government for the gesture.

He pledged the association’s support for the government’s plans to transform the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some elderly persons, who have yet to benefit from the scheme, appealed to the governor to commence the second phase as soon as possible (NAN)

PoliticsWoman, 27, Bags 2 Years Imprisonment For Stealing N300, 000 Recharge Cards by ifebosco(op): 6:50pm On Aug 04, 2012
A 27-year-old woman, Aminat Akiode, was on Friday sentenced to two years imprisonment by an Abeokuta Chief Magistrates’ Court for stealing recharge cards valued N300, 000

Prosecutor Mr Paul Etusi said the offence was committed on May 4, at Adigbe in Abeokuta metropolis.

He added that the recharge cards were the property of the Global Communications Investment (GCI) Ltd., a firm in which Akiode was an employee.

“She was entrusted with recharge cards of various communication networks worth N300, 000, which she could not account for.

“The GCI Ltd alerted the police of the development and after much interrogation, Akiode claimed that she was hypnotised by some people who collected the cards from her,’’ the prosecutor said.

Etusi said that the offence was contrary Sections 383 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun, 2006.

Akiode pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing levied against her.

The counsel to the accused, Mrs Titilayo Akinola, pleaded with the court to tamper justice with mercy.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Ayoadele Ayobolu, later sentenced Akiode to two years imprisonment with an option of N 200,000 fine. (NAN

Omotola and Toye kneeling before the decomposed body of Akinbuyi

By:
PHILIP NWOSU, MATTHEW DIKE and GILBERT EKEZIE

Date:
Thu, 07/26/2012 - 22:49 The entire Festival Town, commonly called FESTAC in Lagos was thrown into pandemonium on Thursday evening as a decomposing body of a man was discovered inside a duplex on B Close, House 6 of 3rd Avenue. The decomposing body, it was gathered, was that of the younger sibling of two brothers allegedly living together in the duplex which was left for them by their deceased parents.

The corpse was identified as that of Akinbuyi Ajayi, 39, living in the same apartment with Toye Ajayi and Omotola Ajayi, who were identified as his brothers. He was allegedly killed by his brothers and his body kept in a room inside the flat. The corpse had been mutilated by the two brothers. A police source alleged that Toye and Omotola were selling the body parts of their brother for money, adding that the two were caught with some human parts which eventually led to a search on their apartment by law enforcement personnel.

Toye and Omotola were suspected to have chopped off the head, hands, private part and part of the two legs of Akinbuyi and allegedly sold them to suspected ritualists. The decomposing body of Akinbuyi was moved by the policemen attached to FESTAC Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Mohammed Mu’azu, a Chief Superintendent of Police and officials of Amuwo Odofin Local Government council to a morgue, while the police took other items recovered from the house into custody.

Residents of FESTAC came out in their large numbers to watch the horrifying spectacle as the council officials and policemen removed the body. Apart from the body that was recovered from the house, charms, amulets, a pot filled with human blood and two large dummies of human beings were discovered. Some of the charms and amulets were concealed inside a carton with the inscription: Lord Krishna Agabarthi 999.

Omotola, who claimed to be an engineer denied knowing anything about the corpse. He claimed to be jobless, adding that he depended on goodwill of people to survive along with Toye. He denied knowledge of the death of his brother. He explained that Akinbuyi was arrested recently by sanitation task force, adding that the deceased spent three days in prison.

Omotola also said Akinbuyi was born in 1973 and that he usually went out and came in at will. He told the police that his brother’s killers must have committed the act before dumping the deceased inside one of the rooms. He further said their father died in a motor accident recently. Their father, he claimed, was the owner of the duplex where they live. Akinbuyi’s corpse was dumped in one of the rooms upstairs.

Toye described himself as a primary school teacher. When the police asked him where he teaches, he could not utter a word.

PoliticsHow To Participate In The Destruction Of Nigeria by ifebosco(op): 10:23pm On Jul 09, 2012
Sometimes the leaders of a country can unilaterally destroy a country or lead it into war without the active participation of its citizens. That is very selfish. In Liberia or Sierra Leone for example, all those selfish war lords didn’t seek the participation of the citizens when they were killing people over diamonds. They just did. But our leaders, God bless them, they believe in equal participation, in the deregulation of stupidity. They let us pitch in and help and they have been doing so for the past 50 years.

Because of their kindness, I have decided to give you some tips on just what you must do to help the leaders bring this country to a halt.

First you must believe the leaders when they come home and tell us how much our tribe and religion is the best and how the others are just evil. Assisting them is crucial in this regard, because we are the only ones they can use to achieve their goals. So if a man from another evil tribe is trying to get an allocation of land in your office, make it really difficult for him. Create a distinction between indigenes and settlers. Make sure the settlers suffer in your state, even though they have been there for 100 years and the constitution guarantees them rights. Do not allow them to contest for elections. Discriminate against them and attack them for owning property even though you have refused to get your indigene behind up and work. The leaders need us to create these divisions so that they can live in peace. It is our duty to help them.

When our leaders are campaigning for elections we must listen to them and vote only people from our region or religion. This is important because only your ‘brother’ can govern properly. All other people have evil intentions. If he is Muslim, his sole intention is to Islamise Nigeria and if he is Christian his intention is to sell our country to the godless wine-drinking West and to the Arab-(and by extension Muslim)-hating Israeli’s.

As a civil servant it is important not to work. Spend as few hours as you can in the office and while you are there make sure you attend to your personal business. If you are a man, disappear for your private business and if you are a woman spend most of the day filing your nails and marketing fabric, perfumes and shoes. It is evil for anyone to expect you to work on your files as soon as they come.

We need to assist our leaders in causing chaos. Yes they have tried by not building roads or when they do, building tiny insufficient and substandard roads but we must help create congestion by never following traffic rules. Traffic rules are for people who have nothing better to do with their time. Where there are three lanes create a fourth and if you are ingenious, a fifth lane. Then at the junction beg someone to let you pass or enter by force, thereby creating slower traffic.

When these leaders steal money, we need to encourage them. Give them chieftaincy titles and honorary doctorate degrees. Give them awards. Never make them feel uncomfortable, reserve the best spaces for them in church and on the prayer grounds. Collect their tithes and huge contributions for the ‘lord’. Then pray for them. The Nigerian god has a special program of blessing for corrupt leaders.

If a leader, while unable to provide health care, electricity or security comes out to say he will use a billion naira of our money for feeding in a year, we are allowed to do something: scream on Facebook and Twitter. But that is all we are allowed to do; we must let him get his one billion and eventually make jokes about it.

When they try to divert attention from the fraud they are committing by throwing red herrings that we can quarrel about while they do their business, we must recognise it and proceed to fall for it. We must spend as much time as we can quarrelling until we are sure our leaders are done concealing what they want to conceal.

When some disaster happens to us, orchestrated or worsened by the actions or inactions of our leaders, we must never attack them. We must attack each other. This is important. Find someone of another tribe or religion to kill, burn their houses. If you have a grievance against the government, blow up your neighbours. This will solve a lot of issues. Then after the violence we can spend time arguing over whose religion is more peaceful than the other.

You must also remember to be corrupt yourself. If you are policeman, don’t forget that collecting 20 or 50 naira at checkpoints is an effective way of contributing your quota to National corruption. If you work for government, make sure that the contractors oil the wheel of corruption by insisting on your own cut. If they refuse, make sure their payment gets delayed. I could go on and on, but I am sure you can find creative ways of being corrupt in whatever sector you work. You are after all Nigerian.

Finally and most importantly we must do something- we must forget. There is no better way of supporting our leaders than forgetting.

We must forget especially during elections. We must forget what they did in previous years. If they killed people, we must forget. If their relatives were caught laundering money, we must forget. If they suddenly became rich after holding office, we must forget. If they had a track record of supporting corruption, we must forget. If they built no roads, no hospitals, no industries, we must forget. Forgetting will help our peace of mind, especially if they are from our part of the country. Forgetting will take us closer and closer to that path that our leaders have been carefully creating- the path of destruction. Anyone who tries to remember what they have done, God will judge them harshly.

Do all these and I assure you, you will have the privilege of being part of the destruction of this country. It is not easy, but together, we can achieve it. God bless our collective hustle

http://premiumtimesng.com/news/5502-jonathan-desperate-to-link-boko-haram-to-northern-opposition-el-.html

In the last part of our video interview with Nasir El-Rufai, the former minister alleges President Jonathan's government sponsors a certain Boko Haram and has an IQ of less than 30 percent.

In this last part of the interview he granted PREMIUM TIMES, Nasir El-Rufai, the former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, accuses the government of masterminding some bombings across the country.

He says the administration has also been plotting to link the sect to northern politicians such as himself and Atiku Abubakar.

"The Jonathan camp believe that the reason why you have Boko Haram is because a southerner is the president," Mr. El-Rufai said.

"How can it be when Boko Haram's first confrontation with the government was in July 2009 under president Yar' Adua?" he asked. "Is Yar'Adua a southerner? Is Yar'Adua a christian? It is absurd!"

Mr. El-Rufai argued that Nigeria has a government "whose IQ is less than 30 per cent" that would rather blame others for problems rather than critically thinking it through.

He said the government is more concerned with linking the terrorist group to himself, Atiku Abubakar, Ibrahim Babangida and Muhammadu Buhari.

The four types of Boko Haram

Mr. El-Rufai said that in addition to the original Boko Haram, there are three other groups using the brand name- Boko Haram. And the government runs one of the three.

He gave instances where government agents have been caught in the act, trying to bomb locations, whose cases have been 'swept under the carpet.'

Former Eagles star, Obodo kidnapped…as Delta FA frowns at his lifestyle

Delta State has condemned the kidnap of former Super Eagles midfielder Christian Obodo and said that the state government was making frantic efforts to ensure that the player was released.

However, spokesman of Delta Football Association Timi Ibikagbaro last night frowned at the life style of Obodo whom he accused of "showing off and attracting unnecessary attention that possibly led to his unfortunate kidnap."

Timi said that Obodo had gone to a night club Saturday night in a customized car that had "Obodo 5" as number plate and had spent a lot of money to entertain his friends.

"Contacts are being made and every hand is on deck to ensure his release," Timi said, adding "but we have advised players to inform us when they are on holiday so that we can provide security and also advise them on their life style. Obodo showed off which was not necessary going by the mood of the nation after the Dana plane crash and even security issues in the country.

This is in no way trying to cast aspersions or condemn Obodo as a person. But some life styles attract these kidnappers. It was possible they trailed him from the night club to when he retired and picked him up. Security men are, however, doing everything possible to ensure his release. Contacts have been made and work is going on to free him."

CelebritiesCharly Boy - I'm Gay & Head Of The Illuminati In Nigeria by ifebosco(op): 10:22am On May 27, 2012
Controversial maverick entertainment personality, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has set another record with his confession that he is gay. By so confessing, he becomes only the second publicly known gay man in Nigeria.

This is a record that Pastor Rowland Macaulay beat him to by being the first Nigerian to openly come out and even establish a church that catered for only gays. Those who know Charly Boy well however say he’s not someone who likes being a follower. He’s always a leader in everything he does and he’s now ready to take his rightful leadership position in the gay world. Continue to read…

In an interview with a new publication, Danfo Express, Charly Boy declared that he is gay and not ashamed of being gay.

Even as he made other disclosures about himself, he didn’t forget to add that he is the head of the Illuminati in Nigeria, the same Illuminati that people accuse Jay-Z, D’Banj and Don Jazzy of being members and they keep denying membership. While his audacious revelations might seem like a publicity stunt on his part, let’s not forget the popular saying ‘there’s no smoke with-out fire’.

PoliticsRevolution Is Inevitable In Nigeria By 2015 —buhari Says: “PDP Rigged 2011 Elect by ifebosco(op): 11:18pm On May 03, 2012

.

FORMER Head of State and Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the 2011 general elections, General Muhammadu Buhari has said that revolution is inevitable in 2015, unless there is social justice to all and sundry.

Expatiating on his prediction, Buhari said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) "does not believe and accept social justice, and that the revolution could come in one form or the other."

He expressed the hope that "the PDP will be strong enough to go through the consequences of their injustice." He dropped the bombshell in Kaduna when he featured as a special guest of honour at the empowerment programme of a CPC member, representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Usman Bawa Garba.

Speaking at the occasion, he said, “we know that we have been rigged out in last elections; nothing can happen unless there is justice, the question of the PDP and its leadership, they don't accept social justice. If there is no social justice, in a question of time there will be revolution in one form or the other.

“After the last general election, we went as far as to the Supreme Court, but after that, what happened in Kogi state, Adamawa and Sokoto states and the bye-elections, we believe that PDP leadership is not prepared for real democracy and social justice. And I hope they will be strong enough to go through the consequences of their injustice.

“I want to speak of what happened in Igabi constituency, members of CPC in Kaduna state, the elected members of CPC in the Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly were all there to educate people in Igabi and made sure that there was free and fair election and the CPC won.

“What am advocating is this, for the local government election and 2015 general elections Gods willing, every local government and constituency must behave like Igabi, if you don't want to win or you want to remain as slaves in your own country, then you can go home and sleep, otherwise if you must fight for your rights, you must wake up and ensure that justice is done. You must make sure that your votes count”.

Buhari, who frowned at the rate of corruption in Nigeria, cited example of revelations of corrupt officers in the ongoing hearing of pension funds and the oil sector where people steal money indiscriminately.

“To prove to you that there is not going to be justice under PDP and its leaders, look at what happened in the hearing on petroleum resources in the national assembly and the pension fund, people were dying for lack of payment of their entitlements while others are syndicates of thieves, with people stealing and keeping money in their houses up to the tune of 2billion naira”.

He warned: “By 2015, whoever steals public funds has automatically sentenced himself to death, what I said before, I still stand by it, ensure that you are there when election materials are distributed, protect the materials, escort the materials and prevent every form of rigging, if you want justice politically, come 2015, otherwise the situation we are in will continue to deteriorate.

“May God give you patient in the hardship that you have been subjected to, becuase the money that is expected to be used to educate your children, build roads, hospitals and provide the required security is been stolen abroad. Nigerians must rise against this attitude; it is your right,” he said.

Meanwhile, Honourable Bawa as part of efforts to empower people of his constituency, donated 12 cars, 66 motorcycles,30 generators, 45 grinding machine,60 talia machine,, 40 sewing machine,35 knitting machine, 30 pumping machine, and 121 assorted chemicals for producing detergents, perfumes, creams etc to selected party faithfuls and executives

PoliticsJonathan Orders Arrest Of Femi Falana, Tunde Bakare, Dino Melaye by ifebosco(op): 6:41pm On Jan 15, 2012
In a bid to undermine the growing protest against his government's removal of fuel subsidy, President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the SSS to arrest civil rights attorney, Femi Falana, Fiery Lagos pastor, Tunde Bakare, ex-member of house of representatives, Dino Melaye and and Kaduna based activist, Shehu Sanni.

Two sources within the State Security Services told Saharareporters that the security agency had received presidential instructions to move against these four men as well as other perceived organizers of the resistance against the government's dramatic increase of the price of fuel.

"The presidency has decided that the way to break the protest is to go after those that the government believed to be the brains organizing the #Occupy Nigeria protests, " said one of the sources.

The protests in the last one week has attracted larger crowds in Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna and several other Nigerian cities to show that the masses reject President Jonathan's policy to impose further suffering on the Nigerian people.

The presidency's instruction to the SSS is seen as desperate move to forestall a series of massive protests in Kaduna as well well as other northern cities and towns which promises to beat the Lagos crowd.

In addition, the Jonathan administrations has been rattled by swelling crowds that have attended protest rallies in Lagos and other Nigerian cities.

A GROUP of Nigerians in the Diaspora, the Diaspora Nigerians for Subsidy Re-Investment and Empowerment (DINA4SURE) has come out in support of subsidy removal and the Subsidy Re-Investment and Empowerment Programme (SURE) set up by the federal government, saying government should list projects to be funded by the re-investment programme and give a timeline to achieve results.

The group noted that even though the removal of fuel subsidy would greatly inconvenience many Nigerians in the short-term, it would enhance socio-economic development in the long run.

According to the convener of the confab, Dr. Kalu Kalu Diogu, who disclosed this to The Guardian, the group is engaged in the process of enlightening Nigerians in the Diaspora on how the subsidy removal would benefit the suffering masses throughout the country, especially rural dwellers that have no direct use for the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

Diogu noted that by removing the fuel subsidy, the Jonathan administration has demonstrated once again its commitment to transforming Nigeria. While regretting that the timing of the removal hampered peoples celebration of the Christmas and New Year holidays, DINA4SURE urged the federal government to expeditiously implement palliative measures, such as a mass transit system and expansion of the NNPC MEGA filling Stations across the country to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy on the masses.

The group appealed to social service providers not to unduly inflate the cost of their service based on the subsidy removal since according to it, this will be a total injustice to the ordinary consumers
