Would anyone notice that Nasri started playing the Denilson box to box role when Walcott came in? And he really did well tracking back superbly and also being the fulcrum of attack. Well, in the nearest future thatz where he'll be playing for L'arse. Wenger granted an interview last week extolling Nasri's virtue and why he could flourish in that role. Wenger is bent on really exploring the 4-2-3-1 formation to accommodate Arshavin and Nasri but pray, what happens to RVP? This really calls to question if Wenger knows his best 11. Our man seems to be really carried away by one off performances. Arsenal played Roma off the park at the Emirates with 4-5-1 with RVP as the arrow head. Now Wenger thought that was the Amen of all formation and went to Roma with same. Surfice to say it imploded spectacularly as Van persie was clearly nullified by a Roma that has been given a working script by wenger. Should there not be a variation in home and away formation one wonders. Fast forward to the Man-city game with Fab back on the keel and to accommodate him Prof goes for 4-2-3-1 with Fab playing off Adebayor and Denilson+Song anchoring. It was goodish on the day and pronto Wenger unveiled same in Villareal. The story of the first half need not be repeated. Now, Fab is being held up as an attacking midfielder in the mode of Gerrard or even Dennis Bergkamp instead of the central midfield position that he has done so very well in. Against Liverpool yesterday, he played behind bendtner while a more skilfull and mobile Arshavin was shunted to the left. Does Wenger know his best role? And why play Fab there when Arshavin has spent almost all his life and excelled in the role? Does he even know arshavin's best role? Is playing Fab upfront not removing him from a midfield where we are disadvantaged to a forward line where there is a glut of talents, what purpose will this sreve? With this latest soon- to-be- implemented-experiment with Nasri, one is constrained to say that this Gunners team and it's formation is being picked on Wenger's flimsy whim and not a deep conviction of it's workability. No?

Arsenal will lose. This's a picnic game we should try our academy players in while resting our armoury. No big deal
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by Ifedisky(m): 2:07am On Apr 20, 2009
Lets just assume this's a windup otherwise some people are bent on cracking me up. Arsenal play containment footy against a plodding chelsea with a third string defence? L'arse's game, if y'all do not know is based on attack. Now some people would want that to change against a Chelsea team that have conceeded seven goals in two matches and with the kind of leaky defence arsenal had?! Even with a full strength backline, Arsenal seldom play containment. With due respect, all these allusion to Essien and whatever their formation is just tosh, pure bunkum. Arsenal lost because the team was imbalanced and disfunctional simple. Now we have a problem in defence and a coach of wenger's standing goes and plays a short and fragile Denilson as anchor. Do we count the number
Of times he lost the ball in threatening positions on saturday? That we didn't conceed directly from such does'nt vitiate itz distabilising effect. Last season, Arsenal's forwrd play was based on the creativity offered by Hleb, Rosicky and fabrigas; creative skillful players. Now how many did they have yesterday? No Arshavin, no Nasri, how would they create? It beggers belief that some people will absolve Wenger for dropping arguably his best player in arguably his biggest game of the season yet. What is wrong in playing Arshavin behind Ade when everybody knows Terry is one paced and at sea with skillful players? Then protecting Gibbs by playing RVP on the left, or whoever is defensively better.
Like I said, I think it's just a wind up otherwise some people are massively blinkered

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by Ifedisky(m): 7:21pm On Apr 19, 2009
It's a shame that Wenger has shamefuly bottled up in an F.A cup that has always had Everton on the card as finalists since sir red nose started to feel the fire from the scousers. Everybody knew that Fergie will throw the cup, understandably. Now what reason does this arrogant git that I can't readily describe without getting insultive have for throwing the game for Arsenal? He went and weakened an already depleted team. Was he reserving players for liverpool? Then why didn't he change early enough knowing that Aston Villa drew and that playing for penalty against Chavski is calamitous given that his backline is an accident waiting to happen. What was a cup tied Arshavin doing on the bench and why play Denilson against a physical Chelscum midfield?
Listening to Wenger makes me want to puke. These players give their all but Wenger continually undermine them because of his arrogance and unbridled desire to conquer Europe. To lose against an embarrassingly beatable Chelski is gut wrenching. We want a cup of any hue to launch this team but it seems Wenger is a begger with a choice. As sad as it sounds, I pray he fails in Europe to assuage that little boy that was weeping in Wembley yesterday.

Chavski beat Barca?, In your bed!, in your big fu.ckn dream!!. Which left back will be on Messi? And I'm sure that pubeface, Terry along with the increasingly ponderous Carvalho will be in central defense. You should rather be playing to minimise the debacle!.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: FA Cup Semi-final: Arsenal(1) Vs Chelsea(2) On Saturday 18th April by Ifedisky(m): 7:39am On Apr 18, 2009
Chelskum will line up Carvalho and that cunt, Terry in central defence. I smile at what a little bit of speed could do to that one paced bile-conductor. Hope prof plays Arshavin behind Adebayor while RVP goes to the left. He can help Gibbs now that Sagna is unavailable because Arshavin on the wing is a defensive liability. Terry will lose the game for Chelski today!

Itz scarily worrisome what L'arse can do with their back against the wall. With this spate of injuries, they'll just PISS in Chavski's noodles.
